We're back once again with a new chapter! Anyway, enjoy!
Surprisingly, the streets were not as busy as the Ant Hill Mob or Penelope thought they were going to be as they started turning the corner as Penelope heard the scream coming closer. "I hear it more to the left!"
Yak Yak, noticing a sign, giggled as he said, "I think we're approaching the Golden Gate Bridge! Whoever's in trouble is probably stuck!"
"Well, then, we better step on it!" Clyde frowned. "Chuggaa-boom, put it in gear!"
The car puttered as it started to step on the gas, but not before accidentally throwing the Ant Hill Mob themselves out of the car. Clyde gave a groan as he and his team jumped up. "HEY! Wait for us!"
Penelope, who had her seat belt on, just watched in amusement as her friends started to chase after the car. Pretty soon, the seven members of the Ant Hill Mob hopped back in the moving car and settled themselves back in as Snoozy got behind the wheel.
"Well, it looks like Penelope and the Ant Hill Mob are on their way to investigate a rescue..."
"...but will they be too late?"
Back in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hooded Claw looked around as he spotted what seemed to be a large boat with a couple of smokestacks approaching from the water. "I'm afraid they may just as well be. Look, here comes the boat, almost heading straight for the bridge. And in about five more minutes, Pandora here will just be a memory!"
Pandora, from below the bridge, kept letting out another scream loud enough for the man in the green cape to stumble as he covered his ears. The Hooded Claw gave a growl as he said, "Sheesh, Penelope never yelled THIS loud when she was captured. I think I lost my hearing."
Down below, the black haired girl in the purple clothing was struggling, trying to find a way out of her situation as she looked up and gave a growl. "Well, this is just great. I'm about to be murdered by some nobody I barely know, and I'm sure the papers are going to have a field day with this one. I can see the headlines now... "Pandora Pitstop the Nobody Gets Offed". Can today suck even more?"
"Don't give up hope now, Pandora!"
Pandora's head lifted up in shock as she looked around. "What the- who said that! Who are you?"
"Oh, I'm just the local narrator!"
"Narrator?" Pandora scoffed. "And now, a disembodied voice just comes out of nowhere? What is going on with my life right now!" She growled as she said, "Okay, Mr. Omnipresent Narrator person, NARRATE ME OUT OF THIS MESS!"
"Just hang tight. Help is on the way."
"Oh, ha ha. I'M TRAPPED IN A SWINGING ROPE, YOU MORON! WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GO?!" Pandora yelled at the sky with a glare on her face.
"Sheesh, rude, much? Anyway, here comes the heroes of the story!"
Pretty soon, the car arrived near the start of the Golden Gate Bridge as Penelope took note of the sign. "Movie in progress. Why I don't see any cameras around..."
Clyde gave a frown as he turned to Pockets. "Quick Pockets, I need a telescope."
"One telescope, coming up, Clyde!" Pockets said as he dug around in his shirt pockets before pulling out a large telescope and looking through it as he noticed the girl hanging off in the air.
"There's a girl tied up over there, hanging by a rope. I can't get a good look on her face though..." Clyde said as he moved the telescope up and noticed the person in the middle of the bridge, watching with eager joy at the water. "Oh oh! I see the Hooded Claw, eager about something..."
Penelope just blinked in confusion. "The Hooded Claw? But I don't understand. Why did he just pick this random girl? Is she rich like I am?"
"Hard to say... but we can't let her face the doom you face! We have to save her!" Clyde frowned.
Penelope gave a frown as she gave a nod. "You're right! We need to make sure that poor little ol' girl is saved! If the Hooded Claw is here, then that means nothing but trouble... but how do we distract him?"
It was then Penelope noticed the Ant Hill Mob staring at her as Penelope realized the implications of what they were hinting at. Penelope gave a sigh. "All right, all right... what do you have in mind?"
"One more minute until that boat approaches! Oh, I'm tingling with excitement!" The Hooded Claw gave a smile... before sighing. "I wish it was Penelope Pitstop I was offing with this, but hey, it's a Pitstop I'm offing, so doesn't matter to me! At least I can try the same trap again... speaking of Penelope, I wonder where she is..."
"Oh me, oh my! I seem to have my boot stuck in some mud!"
The Hooded Claw's face turned with a surprise look as he noticed on the other end of the bridge, Penelope Pitstop was standing there, with her foot obscured as the blonde haired girl seemed to be struggling. "Gee, I don't think I can get my foot out of this mud puddle. And I was oh so looking forward to catching up with the Ant Hill Mob. Oh well, I suppose I should look at the bright side. The Hooded Claw is not here to witness this embarrassing moment where I am very vulnerable and easy to catch!"
The Hooded Claw gave a cheeky grin... before pausing as he frowned. "Obviously a ploy of some kind. Penelope would never get this stuck... or act so bad..." The Hooded Claw shut his eyes. "But darn it, I just can't help but investigate!"
With that, the Hooded Claw spun around and when he stopped, he was now disguised as a doctor. Giving a cheeky grin, he quickly ran over to the 'helpless' lady as the bridge was beginning to open up.
All the while, Pandora was getting worried as she seemed to watch the rope get closer to the knife as she shut her eyes. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no!"
At that time, the Hooded Claw ran over, dressed as a doctor, arrived at Penelope's location as she seemed to be struggling with pulling her foot out. "Excuse ma'am, Dr. D'yain at your service. What seems to be the trouble?"
"Well, doctor, I seem to have my foot stuck. Could you take a look at it, please?" Penelope gave a smile.
"Why, certainly, my dear." the Hooded Claw gave a cheeky grin as he was about to grab the blonde haired girl.
"Oh, wonderful!" Penelope smiled as she circled around, revealing her foot was just fine and kicked the Hooded Claw directly in the stomach as the man groaned. "Take that, Hooded Claw!"
The Hooded Claw groaned as he looked at Penelope's foot... which didn't seem to be stuck at all, but rather, was moving around freely. The Hooded Claw gave a groan. "I knew it was a trap!"
"Penelope outsmarts the Hooded Claw, but what about the trap?"
Back below the bridge, Pandora was swinging around in panic as the knife had cut the rope. Pandora screamed as she looked ready to fall as she shut her eyes... before opening one eye and noticed that the boat was passing by as she seemed to be going up instead of down. Pandora looked confused as she looked up to see seven tiny men in mob clothes forming a chain, with the leader in a grey coat pulling her up as Clyde said, "Okay, I got her! Let's get her up!"
The Hooded Claw, on the other hand, looked over as he narrowed his eyes at his trap being foiled. "Blast! Bully Brothers! Do something!"
Dead silence was what followed as Penelope looked around, blinking in confusion. The Hooded Claw groaned as he held his head, "Right... they're on lunch..."
The Hooded Claw then got up as he gave a glare towards Penelope. "Consider yourself lucky, Pitstop. Next time, I'll be able to off you and that girl for sure!"
With that said and done, the Hooded Claw quickly made his escape as Penelope frowned. "Hey! You come back here, you little ol' coward!"
"Penelope, we got her safe!" Clyde called over.
Penelope gave a grin as she approached the Ant Hill Mob and gave a smile. "Wonderful! Are you okay, ma-"
The blonde haired girl looked up as her eyes widened in shock as she noticed the black haired woman recovering and untying herself as she gave a scoff. Penelope's mouth dropped as she watched the black haired girl shake her head. "Hmph. Well, at least I'm saved, and that's what matters. Thanks, I gue-"
The black haired woman turned her head towards the girl... and her face turned white in horror upon seeing the familiar face. "...no..."
"...Pandora?" Penelope whispered as she pulled out the picture she had and looked at it, before looking up to see that the black haired little girl in the picture and the girl standing in front of them had the same frown on their faces. She slowly approached the girl as if wanting to touch her... before the black haired woman angrily slapped her hand away.
"Get your hand off me, you little know-it-all brat!" Pandora screamed.
"PANDORA!" Penelope gave a happy smile as she ensnared the black haired woman in a hug, causing the Ant Hill Mob to gasp in surprise.
"Pandora? You don't mean this is the same Pandora you were talking about earlier!" Clyde gasped.
Softy sniffled, "Oh my goodness, Clyde, what a plot twist! Sisters reunited again!"
Pandora, on the other hand, growled as she tried to get out of the hug Penelope was ensnaring her in. "Let me go! I am not your wrestling partner!"
"Oh thank goodness, thank goodness!" Penelope was happily crying into Pandora's shirt as Pandora gave a frown.
"Ugh, and you're getting my shirt all wet!" Pandora groaned as she looked back at the water. "Ugh, I would rather have been dead at that moment!"
And with that, we're done with this chapter! What do you guys think? Next time, Pandora and Penelope arrive back at the hotel as Sylvester Sneekly and his co-horts help them out at the hotel! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, folks!
