Adrian and Bryan sat on her parents sofa. Her mother was outside with all the kids. Her dad entered the room and he put two drinks of water on the coffee table for them. Adrian didn't know how to start this subject about Ben. She had turned the information of Dr. Fields and the info in his journals to Detective Collins. And they all reassured her they were working to get justice for Ben.

Adrian cleared her throat. "Dad I know you know about the case Ben had witnessed. The family that was murdered a year before Ben died. All I keep thinking is why didn't you tell me after Ben died about this. I am not mad I am just trying to understand why you didn't tell me." Adrian said softly.

Rueben sat stunned as if someone had thrown cold water on him. "I didn't tell you because Ben asked me not too. He made me promise that even if something caused him to not make it not to worry you. He wanted you to live without fear. I am sorry I should've but I was trying to honor Ben's wishes and I had no proof that Ben's case had caused his death. I suspected as much but Jacks statement made it seem like it was an honest mistake. One thing was a witness did come forward just recently since Ben's murder it the news. They said a black SUV drove the woman into the wrong lane and kept her pinned there and then they pulled over at last minute and she didn't have enough time to get back over into her lane and she hit Jacks truck straight on. They also saw the truck come back around. They also saw from a distance them hurting Ben. They had a metal pipe and were using there fists on him. I suspect the blow to his head was from the pipe and caused his bleeding in his brain and also inflicted internal bleeding as well. I guess the witness scared the off. They called 911 and stayed until the paramedics came but they were scared to death and left the scene. So they are now looking at a two murder charges and attempted murder. They will get them Adrian the clues are starting to come to light. And the pieces are starting to fit. This case is getting stronger and stronger." Rueben responded.

"I understand. They also have Ben's journals and they are contacting Dr. Fields because he knew about all of this because Ben was seeing him for help and support again. And they will be contacting you also. I just hope we can resolve this quickly.

Bryan picked up Adrian's hand in his own and gave it a squeeze. "We all want to have this solved and everyone can grieve Ben and he can be at peace. We all just have to stay together and lean on one another." Bryan said.

Graces parents home:

Jack sat quietly on the sofa staring into space with so much on his mind. Every night he was having nightmares of the three men killing Ben. There faces were so clear as he had just sat down with the police and come up with a sketch for them. The other witness had also done the same. He could hear Ben's screams of agony and terror so clear. They pierced his ears until they rung. He could see them punching and beating Ben with their fists and something like a bat or a pipe. He screamed until a final crushing blow from the heavy object struck him in the head. Then they turned toward Jack in his nightmare until lights caught their attention and they fled. And Ben lay there in his own blood. He was so still and quiet and then Jack blacked out.

Grace came and sat down next to him. She pulled him close and gave him a deep kiss. He stated into her eyes and kissed her once also.

"You doing ok?" Grace said with worry in her voice.

"I am scared for all of us for our safety. I don't want anyone else to get hurt or worse lose their life like Ben did. He paid a very high price for doing the right thing. I just want justice for him but also all of us safe. I am really scared and I will have to testify." Jack said quietly.

"We will get through this. I love you so much and no matter what happens that will never change. And know you did the right thing." Grace said as she got up and sat in his lap.

"I hope so Gracie. I hope so." Jack said with so much doubt in his voice.

Grace kissed him deeply and held him close and let him just cry.

Ricky and Amy's House:

Amy and Ricky lay in there bed late at night both exhausted but neither could sleep with everything on their minds. Neither could believe everything that had come to light in the last few days. It was a lot to take in.

"Ben was robbed of his life." Amy said quietly breaking the silence.

"He was but unfortunately we can't change it. I wish we could but we just have to help find these people and make sure they never do this again." Ricky said with sadness in his voice. He had heard every detail from that night when Jack gave his statement and it was horrific. He couldn't get the details out of his mind. He could only imagine what Ben had gone through as well as Jack that night.

"Yeah. Just hold me tonight Ricky. And don't let go where we are safe and the world lay quiet." Amy said and then she kissed him and snuggled closer to him,

"I am here always even if not physically I am always here." Ricky said and held Amy as close as he possibly could.

Everyone was a dealing with the news and no one knew where these people were of if they were hurting other people. But somehow they would all have to find the strength to accept what had happened and find the courage to make it right for Ben who had given so much and had been taken away.
