"What did you just say?" Akashi asked once more, hoping that he must've misheard the sky blue haired teen.
"I quit." He repeated.
"Are you sure about this, Tetsuya?" Akashi still shaken by surprised, just looked at the bag that Kuroko held.
"Yeah I'm sure." Kuroko still held the bag towards Akashi, which contained his Teiko Basketball uniform.
"Are you really sure? Or did someone tell you about the meeting?" Akashi was being thorough, hoping to hear what is on Kuroko's mind.
"What meeting?" Kuroko eyebrows furrowed, putting the bag onto his side.
"Meeting? I didn't say meeting." Akashi tried to change the subject.
"But you did." Kuroko somewhat persisted.
"Nope. Didn't say it." Akashi had proposed he didn't mention it.
"Fine, I'll let that subject go for now." Kuroko was no longer persisting, and again held the bag up front where Akashi can take it from him.
"There was never anything interesting about that certain topic." Akashi shrugged his shoulders.
Kuroko gave Akashi a menacing look, giving him a spine tingling goosebump. "Just take the bag please." Kuroko handed the bag toward his direction.
"As you wish," The red head grabbed the bag, relieving Kuroko of his left hand once more. "Just tell me though, why exactly are you quitting the team?"
Just as Kuroko was making a full turn, he stopped midway, turning only his head toward Akashi. He can only smile at the red head. "Why else?"
The Phantom just walked away, leaving the Captain where he once stood. "Bastard…" He lowly said to himself.
Kuroko walked his usual route to his home. The streets were crowded and nobody usually noticed him due to his lack of presence. As he was about to pass a grocery store, a certain purple haired giant came out from there. "Murasakibara-kun?"
"Hmm? Kurochin? What are you doing here?" Murasakibara held a bag of groceries on his left arm while he had another carried another on his left hand. He chewed on a gum as he turned to look at the Phantom player.
"Just went to go see Akashi-kun." He told him of his earlier activity.
"You went to go see Akachin? What for?" Suddenly, both of them started to walk in the same direction.
"It's nothing really." They stopped, waiting for the traffic light to turn red.
"Really?" They started moving again, crossing the street with other people. "You went to go talk to him face to face. That usually means that it's important."
"It's nothing really." Kuroko tried to persuade Murasakibara about his earlier activities with Akashi.
"Well ok I suppose," they took a turn, heading into the neighborhood. "Your house is right around here, no?"
"Yeah," Kuroko stopped at the third house, followed by Murasakibara. "Nice chatting with you Murasakibara, goodbye."
"Bye Kurochin." Murasakibara put one of his bags down to wave goodbye. Murasakibara started to walk again as soon as Kuroko opened his door.
Kurochin was acting weird just now, Murasakibara was in his train of thought. And the fact that he talked to Akachin was peculiar. He took a few more turns. Did Akachin already told Kurochin to quit? He finally approached his home.
He made it to his doorstep before putting his bag down and reached for his keys on his right pocket. He inserted the key, picked up his bag once more and proceeded to enter into his home. He closed the door behind him, looking the door as well. He took the first door way to his right and entered into the kitchen, where he laid the bags. "Oi mom!" He called up into the stair way.
"OK! I'll be right down in a minute!" His mother called back.
"Tch." He got the bag he was holding earlier, which contained his goodies, and proceeded to go upstairs.
Up he went, where he met the hall which connected his room, his mother's, the bathroom, and the stair way that lead back into the kitchen. He turned to the right, where his door, near the back of the hall, was. He got in and closed the door behind him.
"Ugh." He heavily sighed, still thinking about his earlier encounter with Kuroko.
Why do I care if Akachin told him to quit the team, he laid back on his bed. It's not like we ever met eye to eye in basketball… He continued to munch on his goodies. He reached into his bag, taking out chocolate treat. He unwrapped it, threw the wrapper onto his trash bin, which was almost filled, near his computer, and continued. Then again, he is my friend I guess.
He took out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number. "Oi Minechin, you there?"
"Of course it's me! Who else!?" Aomine yelled through the line.
"Whatever," Murasakibar reached into his bag again. "Anyways, I had a rather strange talk with Kurochin." He unwrapped his candie.
"What do you mean strange?" Aomine asked.
"Well I was walking back from the store to get my mother's groceries." He began.
"And? That's where you met Tetsu?" Aomine just wanted to get to the point.
"Yeah," Murasakibara said. "Anyways, we walked and talked. He told me, before we met at the store, that he had talked to Akachin earlier."
"Akashi? What for?" Aomine changed his tone, sounding almost concerned.
"He didn't tell me much," Murasakibara reached for his bag once again, taking out a bunch of candies this time instead of one. "He only told me that he had a chat with him. Do you thin-"
"NO!" Aomine yelled through his phone, startling Murasakibara. "As much as the next person who seems convinced about this situation, I do not think that Akashi already told Tetsu to quit the team!"
"Oi, chill down." Murasakibara tried to change the tone in Aomine's voice.
"I AM CHILL!" Once again, Aomine blurted out loud. "THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN CHILL ME DOWN IS ME!"
"You know what, I think this was a bad idea." Murasakibara openly admitted.
"Agreed." Aomine hanged up on his line.
"Guess we're gonna have to wait 'til Akachin officially says so." Murasakibara turned off his phone and threw it near his pillow. "Huh." He sighed.
Eh what do I care? Murasakibara lost his appetite, laid back on his bed once more and continue to stare at his ceiling. Kurochin has better things to do than play basketball right? I mean he has Momochin.
"Darling, dinner is ready!" His mother called out to him from the bottom of the stair way.
"I'll be right down!" He answered her.
Last thing I need is not to worry about these things anymore. Were his last thoughts before he venture out his door way.
30 minutes passed, and Murasakibara came back to his room. He noticed that his phone was blinking. "A notification?" He turned it on, and he had received over 10 messages from Kise.
Instead of replying, he ended up calling him. "Oi what do you want Kisechin?"
"Aomine just told me what you told him, is it true?" Kise replied.
"Is what true?" Murasakibara didn't feel like answering.
"That Akashicchi may have told Kurokocchi to quit the team already?" Kise asked the question that Murasakibara has been trying to annoy for some time now.
"I do not know." Murasakibara said.
"What do you mean you don't know!? Aomine told me-"
"For the last freaking time, I do not know! We'll find out tomorrow during school!" Murasakibara cut off Kise before he could finish his last sentence.
"Oh, well sorry for pestering you." Kise apologized.
"Apology accepted. Now, I'm gonna hang up now, so goodnight Kisechin." Murasakibara hanged up.
He is much annoyed now, more than anything. Geez, since when did I become the expert in trying to break up some news!?
As soon as he was about to call it a day, his phone rang. "Oh what now!?" He looked at his phone and saw the phone I.D. "Ugh, its Midorima… screw it." He put his phone on vibrate and called it a day.
A/N: Sorry for having you wait this long for a damn update. I might not do it again. Anyways, hope you enjoy this latest chapter. Also, I might make a oneshot as well some time tomorrow. So anyways, sorry again for the lateness.
