I got my creativity back, let's do this! Oh, and for those who were interested, here are all the references from last chapter!

1: The obvious Pokémon Battle Scene.

2: The part where Kirby screams being blasted with water gun counts as a bath was one to The Simpsons.

3: The whole swearing montage was another one to The Simpsons.

4: The scene where Kirby plots to kill the Swear Jar/get some Fearows to take it to a magical land filled with sunshine and rainbows was a homage to the Adventure Time Episode 'The Eyes'.

5: Yet another homage to Adventure Time's 'The Eyes' was when Kirby yelled at whatever was in the vents (Ivory and Indigo Wisps playing with all the money in the Swear Jar) to stop creeping him the math out.

And that's all.

A Magical Duel

T'was another normal day in Smash Mansion. The sun was shining, the Pikmin were blooming, and-

"IT'S STILL COLD OUT!"

-…Yes, thank you, Villager. For Team Hero, it was much like the day when the Wisps first arrived. Except Sonic, the Hero of Mobius, had finally found a way to beat the cold. He had gone up to the HAR (Holographic Adventure re-enactor, a new addition to Smash Mansion for the fourth tourney, as well as the Clear Pipe System) at set it to do a couple Special Stages. The rest of Team Hero had all gathered in the viewing platform to watch his progress. Mega Man, who had been appointed an official member of Team Hero recently, was also among them. "I've gotta admit, aside from all the explosions, I'm getting pretty used to life here now." all the other members of Team Hero nodded in approval.

"Good. That's excellent. Usually it takes a little longer, though. Certainly did for Meta Knight." wrote Mario, smiling.

"Meta who?"

"Oh! Just my bestest friend in the whole wide world!" said Kirby, jumping onto Megas head. "He's awesome! Lots of people said they loved that he was in Brawl! But he's not as close as you guys are with me!"

"Kirby, we view you more as a pet than a friend." said Link, scowling slightly. Kirby promptly jumped onto Link's head.

"Ha ha! Real funny, Linko!" Pit wordlessly pulled out a squirt bottle and began spritzing it at Kirby. Kirby hissed like a cat, jumped off of Link's head, clawed at the air for a minute then ran out on all fours. Pit then turned to continue watching Sonic. His eyed widened in shock.

"Holy Palutena, how does he do that?!" everyone turned to face Sonic through the screen, who was somehow able to break dance while maintaining his speed.

"Oh for the love of-"Link walked up to the screen and yelled at Sonic. "SONIC! THIS IS NOT A DANCE STUDIO! GET BACK TO TRAINING!" Sonic glared and stuck out his tongue at the Hylian, but jumped and continued to run normally. "Showoff…" Link muttered.

"Let me guess: You're jealous because you literally run at the pace of a Monoeye." said Pit with a smirk. Link glared at him.

"No. I just don't like showoffs."

"Hey, guys? What do you think about that Queen lady, Rosalina?" asked Mega Man. Mario smiled at wrote down all about his adventures with her. "Huh. Sounds pretty interesting. What about you two?"

"Well, she and Lumi are kinda cool, after all, they added all those Star Catapult things into the main yard." said Pit, shrugging.

"Who's Lumi again?" asked Mega.

"That little star thing she brought with her. I think it's called a Luma." Pit replied. "What about you, Link?"

"Meh. She's pretty nice, I guess. But has anyone else noticed that she and Zelda have been fighting ever since Zel came back?" Pit and Mega murmured in agreement.

"Maybe we should go see if they're fighting right now. Might be entertaining." said Mega.

"Yeah, let's just wait for Sonic to finish his final lap-…He's break dancing again…" Link turned to face Sonic again, who was indeed, break dancing while maintaining his speed once more. "How does he even do that?" asked Pit. Mario wrote down something on his notepad and held it up for Pit to see.

"I don't know. Special skill, maybe?"

"HYLIA DAMN IT, SONIC, CUT THAT OUT!" yelled Link.

"YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS THAT YOU CAN'T DO THIS YOURSELF, LINK!" Sonic yelled back, not breaking his momentum at all. Link opened his mouth to make a witty comeback, but then turned away, crossed his arms and pouted.

"…Shut up…" Mega, Pit and Mario sweat dropped as Sonic finished up, ran into the viewing platform and continued to argue with Link as they all went off to find Zelda and Rosalina.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

They found them rather easily. They just followed the screaming to the main hall and dodged Lumi, who was flying at mach speed as far away from, who she called, the 'Scary Pointy Eared Lady' and her Mama as they argued. Sonic ran into the kitchen, grabbed some popcorn, grabbed Kirby and ran back to watch the fight unfold. "I'M the better magic user!" screamed Zelda.

"No, I am. How else can you explain the fact that I was called here before you? I'm clearly much more important." Rosalina replied in a calm tone of voice, a gloating smile appearing on her face.

"Why you-"

"Look, there is only one way to settle this once and for all. I assume you are familiar with Magic Duels?" Zelda raised an eyebrow at this, but nodded.

"Of course. They're part of my training with Sheik."

"Well then, whoever wins is the more powerful magic user, and the loser must admit this to the other."

"Fine. We'll meet in the stadium in exactly one hour from now."

"Excellent. I will see you on the field of battle, Princess Zelda." Rosalina began to walk off, but stopped and turned around to face Zelda one last time. "Though, just to be clear, I will obviously be the victor." and with that, the Queen of the Cosmos walked away, leaving the Ruler of Hyrule fuming.

"Hmph!" Zelda turned around and stomped away in the other direction, passing by a very confused Team Hero.

"…What just happened?"

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Exactly one hour later, Zelda and Rosalina were both standing on the new Stadium battlefield for the fourth tournament, glaring at each other fiercely. "In the right corner, we have the Interstellar Magic User, the Queen of the Cosmos, Ladyyyyyy Rosalina!" said Master Hand, putting in that small bit of excitement he had from the first tournament. Everyone from the Mario series and a few others all cheered for Rosalina. Rosalina raised her wand and created a ribbon out of magic, twirling it around in the air to display her magic.

"GO ROSIE!" yelled Peach, holding up a sign that said just that.

"And in the left corner, we have the Ancient Magic User, the Ruler of the grand land of Hyrule, Princesssssss Zelda!" Link, Toon, and the remaining bunch all cheered for Zelda. She created a bit of magic in her hands, sending it up into the air and having it explode like a firework.

"GO ZELLIE!" yelled Peach, who flipped her sign around so that it read exactly that.

"Now, I'm certain many of you are wondering why exactly there two girls are out on the field." Some of the audience nodded in agreement. "Well, it's to answer the question both these girls want to know: Who is the better user of magic? And what better way to find this out than with a good old fashioned Magic Duel? Now, let the games begin!" Zelda and Rosalina glared at each other.

"You're going down." whispered Zelda, just loud enough for Rosalina to hear.

"READY?"

"I'm afraid it will be the other way around, Princess." replied Rosalina, who still looked perfectly calm. Zelda gritted her teeth and snarled at Rosalina.

"GO!"

"PHANTOM!" yelled Zelda, immediately summoning the armored guardian. Rosalina's eyes widened for a moment when she saw the hulking figure in a suit of armor, but calmly raised her wand into the air like a beacon in response. Without saying a word, dozens upon dozens of Lumas swarmed near the Queen, who smiled. At the same time Zelda pointed at Rosalina to signal the Phantom who the enemy was, Rosalina pointed her wand at Zelda to show the Lumas who to fight.

"ATTACK!" yelled both girls at the same time. The next thing that happened was too blinding to describe, but I'll summarize it for you all. Basically what happened was that approximately 538 Lumas rushed into combat with the Phantom in a dazzling display of colors and magic. The Phantom took out many of them, but numbers seemed to prevail over power as the Phantom fell. Zelda bit her lip and threw a Din's Fire into the crowd of Lumas, removing the remaining ones. Rosalina frowned as she watched the rest of her Luma battalion were easily taken out by such a common spell. Zelda threw yet another Din's Fire Rosalina's way, but, since the Queen was expecting it, she easily activated her barrier to prevent the heavy damage. In anger and without thinking, Rosalina sent a wave of magic towards Zelda, who easily deflected it with Nayru's Love. Rosalina created a Launch Star with the last Luma on the battlefield, used it to get behind Zelda and cast a binding spell against the Princess. Zelda acted quickly though, teleporting to the other side of the field with Farore's Wind. The two glared at each other for a second before both created a giant ball of energy and launched it at each other. The two balls of energy collided as the two rulers struggled to overpower the other. Zelda strained one of her hands upward and snapped, summoning her now healed Phantom to help the ball get where it needed to go. Rosalina also raised her free hand to her lips, whistling in order to summon more Lumas to help her prevail. After the Lumas and the Phantom added their powers to their masters energy, the two balls of light exploded, leaving the audience blinded.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH! I'M BLIND! Oh, no, wait…Never mind, I'm fine." yelled Kirby, who rubbed his eyes in pain. The crowd leaned in to see who had won…

…Only to see both rulers knocked out from sheer exhaustion. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I hereby declare the outcome of this Magic Duel to be…A tie!" yelled Master Hand.

Later, in the Infirmary, Zelda and Rosalina both groaned as they woke up in hospital beds. "Let's never to that again, agreed?" moaned Rosalina, turning to face Zelda.

"Agreed."

Team Hero were all sitting down in the lounge relaxing after the events that had transpired that day. "Why do I have a feeling we were barely of interest today?" asked Pit.

"Probably because we weren't the subject of interest today. And that we all learned a valuable lesson: Magic Duels are bad news and we should never try to fight one." Sonic said smartly.

"Uh, no offense Sonic, but I don't think that was the lesson. I'm pretty sure the lesson today was that we should value our friendships and not to argue over petty things, like for example, who's the better magic user." wrote Mario. Sonic scowled.

"Well, I know one thing, and that's that all of us will be friends forever!" yelled Kirby in excitement.

"Kirby, we told you before, we only view you as an annoying pet." said Link.

"Oh come on guys, I know that's just nonsense-OH MY NOVA, A RED DOT!" Kirby jumped up in excitement and ran over to where the red dot was on the wall and struggled to catch it as it moved erratically around the wall. Eventually it disappeared all together so, out of confusion, he turned back to his friends and saw Pit was holding a silver laser pointer in his hand, a cocky smile on his face.

"What was that about not being a pet, Kirby?"

"..You're a jerk-OOH THE RED DOT'S BACK!" Kirby jumped up and attempted to catch the red dot once more.

"Wait, why were we talking about lessons learned anyways?" asked Mega. Sonic shrugged.

"Hey we learned a long time ago that, if something weird happens, blame the author." suddenly, a huge tear opened up in the right wall, revealing a large white void. Mega jumped in shock, while nobody else seemed to notice this.

"ARGH!" came a yell from inside the rift. A girl with a Creeper toque walked into view with a roll of duct tape in her hand, glaring at Team Hero. "You guys didn't see anything." she said, duct taping the rip back up.

"Who was that?!" exclaimed Mega frantically. Link glanced at him for a moment, then opened his mouth to respond.

"Oh, that was just Light. You'll get used to seeing her around." another rip sounded from down the hall.

"DAMN IT!"

"Hey, Sonic? Where are all the Wisps?" asked Mega, who was still a little shaken from Light's surprise visit. Sonic smiled in pride.

"Oh, don't worry, I took care of them."

XxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Meanwhile, in another dimension, a certain pyrokinetic cat had just found a package from Sonic near her shrine. "MARINE! Did you order something online again?!" her raccoon partner looked over to the cat from her ship.

"No Blaze, I didn't, I swear!" the cat in question, Blaze, calmly opened the package, muttering words against Marine as she did. She leapt back in surprise when all the Wisps flew out and began eagerly exploring their surroundings. She looked down at the bottom of the box and picked up a card.

"Hey Blaze! Look, I need you to watch these little guys while I'm at Smash Mansion, and you're the only person who's far away enough from home to do it. And don't sell them to the first person you see. Later! –Sonic. P.S: DON'T TELL TAILS!" the note read. Blaze burned the note to ashes in the palm of her hand in rage.

"SOOOOOONNNNNIIIIICCCCCCC!"

...Someone needs to draw me fanart of the Magic Duel immediately because the scene with the balls of light and the Lumas and the Phantom seemed so epic in my head.

Anyways, yes, I did just ditch the Wisps on the most anger-prone Sonic character there is other than Knuckles, Shadow or Amy.

Yeah, chances are that we'll never see the Wisps again. Except maybe as ashes blowing in the wind. Oh, and also, when SSB4 comes out, first thing I'm gonna do is pit two COMs (Zelda and Rosalina) against each other on Max Difficulty and see who wins. Last time I did that, I put Level 9 Peach, Level 9 Zelda, Level 9 Samus and Level 1 Snake against each other. Guess who won?

SNAKE.

I'M NOT KIDDING.
