Hey Guys! Im having a short intro today sooo ya. Hope you enjoy the chapter!

Ally's POV

I watch as Austin's black Porsche parallel parks in the space next to me. He rolls down his window and stares at me. I probably looked like a mess but at this point I didn't care.

"Um Ally? Are you okay?" He asks. I realize that I am still sitting in the middle of the sidewalk.

"Not really." I say meekly. He turns his engine off and steps out of the car. He is wearing a tux but I don't question it. He strides up to me a sits next to me.

"Hey." He says staring at me

"Hi." I say giving a weak smile. "I don't usually cry like this."

"You want to talk about it?" He said inching closer to me.

"I wouldn't even know where to begin." I say glancing down the street.

"How about why you left Malibu?"

"How about not that." I say.

"Okay, how about why you left the party?" I glanced at Austin, then back at the street.

"Trish left with some guy. I was alone. The guy who I was supposed to dance with stood me up. I left because the last thing I wanted to do was stand there by myself." I say letting out a sigh. "I walked away and then everything kind of caught up to me. So I sat down and let my emotions get the best of me." I wipe the tear falling down my face and look at Austin. He stood up and held a hand out for me. I took it and he helped me up.

"Come on, I know a way to cheer you up." He said dragging me to the car.

"But-"

"Nope, you can't refuse. I won't let you." He opened the car door and held my hand as I sat inside. He closed the door and walked over to his side. Austin hopped in and put the key in the ignition.

"Where are we going?" I ask as we speed off.

"You'll see. He says, smirking at me.

10 minutes later we were pulling into a parking spot in front of "the flying pancake". I look over at Austin but he is already getting out the car. Before I could interject he is dragging me out the car and into the 24 hour pancake joint. The door dings as we open the door, other than the lady behind the counter, we were the only people here.

"Austin?" A women says from behind the counter.

"Mrs. Debby?" Austin asks as the women comes out from behind the counter and gives Austin a hug.

"I haven't seen you in forever!" Mrs. Debby says letting Austin go and turning to me. "And who is this?" She asks giving Austin a look.

"This is Ally." He says

"It's so nice to meet you." She says giving me smile. "Now what can I get you two?" She asks.

"Um, pancakes of course." Austin says.

"Don't be a smart butt." She says slapping his arm. "I'll have those right up, sit anywhere you like."

Austin nods and leads me to a booth in the corner. I sit down on one side and he sits across from me. All of the sudden he starts to laugh.

"What?" I ask.

"It's nothing." He says with a smile still on his face.

"No tell me!" I say.

"Okay, well it's just, that, we must look ridiculous. I mean, just look at us." He says motioning to himself and me.

"Honestly, I think we look completely fabulous." I say flipping me hair, smiling.

"There we go." Austin says.

"There we go what?"

"I'm just glad to see that you are cheering up."

"Oh, right." I say as Mrs. Debby brings us plates of steaming pancakes.

"Thanks Mrs. Debby." Austin says smiling.

"No problem. Let me know if you need anything else." She says going back behind the counter.

"I have to say, isn't it a little late to be eating pancakes?"

"Are you kidding? Anytime is pancake time." Austin says drowning his pancakes in syrup.

"What is your deal with pancakes?" I ask.

"Pancakes are the best food that have existed on this planet, that's my deal." He says shoving a forkful in his mouth. I cut into my own stack and take a bite. Sweet Jesus, these were good. Austin looks at me with accomplishment on his face.

"They're good, aren't they?" He asks as I take another bite.

"These are the best pancakes I have ever had." I say with a mouth full.

We finish our meal in silence, when music begins to play. I look at Austin as he stands up and motions for me to follow him. He stops in the middle of the room and bows in front of me. I stare at him not knowing what was going on.

"You are supposed to curtsy." He says.

"Oh sorry." I say as I curtsy.

He wraps his arms around my waist and I loop my arms around his neck. Together we swayed.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"You said that you didn't get to dance at the party. So I figured I could at least give you that." He says smiling down at me.

"Thank you." I say, suddenly aware of how close we were.

"Me and my mom used to dance to this song when I was younger. I remember I used to have to stand on her toes."

"Do you still come here with you mom?" I asked looking up at Austin, he avoided my eyes as he answered.

"My mom died a couple of years ago."

"Oh. I'm so sorry." I say.

"It's fine. I actually haven't been to this place since she past away. I should be thanking you for finally bringing myself back here." He said looking down at me. I nodded and realized that the song had ended. We let go of each other and went to the counter to pay.

"I forgot to tell you how pretty you looked tonight." Austin said pulling out his wallet.

"Thank you." I say.

He nodded and turned to Mrs. Debby. "How much is it?" He asked

"Your meal is on the house tonight." She says.

"No, no, no. Mrs. Debby, I owe you something."

"Just by coming in here is enough for me."

"Thank you so much." Austin says. "For everything."

"Just don't wait another two years to come see me again."

"I promise. Bye Mrs. Debby."

"Goodbye Austin, and it was nice to me you Ally." She says smiling at me. "She sure is a keeper." She said winking at Austin. He blushes and ushers me out of "the flying pancake".

"Come on let's go home." Austin says as he opens my car door.

Austin's POV

I watched as Ally slowly drifted off to sleep when my phone began to ring.

"Hello?" I asked

"Austin, did you take care of him?" My dad asked. I glanced over at Ally who was still asleep.

"Ya, his name was Kyle. He told me some interesting things. I shot him and left the note."

"Did anyone else see you?"

"No, I had the silencer on and Dez kept watch of the door. The party was loud enough, no one would have heard anything or suspected what we were up."

"Good."

"Anything else dad?"

"I really want to talk about what was said between us the other day."

"There is nothing to talk about."

"But Aust-" I hung up, not wanting to argue.

I pulled into my parking spot and shut off the engine, Ally was breathing slowly in the passenger seat. I didnt want to disturb her since she looked so peaceful. I step out of the car and open her door, I slide my arms underneath her small frame. She shifted slightly but then went still. I closed the door with my foot and made my way to the elevator. I tried to press the button but I couldn't reach.

"Damn it." I muttered as a man came up behind me.

"Do you need some help?" He asked as he pushes the button.

"Nope." I said as the doors opened. He walked in first and I followed trying not to hit Ally on the walls. The doors closed and the man picked his floor number.

"What floor?" He asked

"What?"

"What is your floor so I can press it."

"Oh, its 33." I said

"Ah a penthouse apartment."

"Yep." I reply, really wishing this guy would just quit talking. I look straight ahead waiting for his floor to arrive.

"Long night?" He asked gesturing to Ally.

"You could say that." I said as the doors open.

"Well this is me, goodnight." He says as he exited the elevator. I let out the breath I had been holding in. 33 finally lit up as the door opened. It was dark inside the apartment meaning Dez still hadn't heard from Trish and he was sulking in his room. I make my way down the hall to the bedroom we had assigned Ally. I layed her down on her comforter and slipped her shoes off. I walked back to the door, giving her one last glance before closing the door.

Ally's POV

I opened my eyes, staring up at the ceiling above my head. I finally let the words Austin had said on the phone sink in. He had been at the party, so had Dez. I wonder if Trish knows, she has too, she lives with these people. Austin lied, he said he wasn't going, and to make matters worse he freaking killed someone. This obviously hasn't been the first time or the last. My head hurt from everything swirling around as my eyes slowly began to close, and I fell asleep.

I walked to the pier where he told me to meet him. There were people everywhere, since it was the middle of summer and the carnival was the busiest as the sun went down. I saw his familiar face at the ring tossing booth.

"Hey." I say surprising him by coming around from behind.

"Als, what did I tell you about surprising people." He said embracing me in a big bear hug.

"I know, but I couldn't resist." I say as he lets go and gives me a quick kiss. "So what are the plans for the evening?" I ask

"Well, you know I always have the best ideas." He said smiling at me.

"What is your extravagant plan now." I said rolling my eyes.

"Oh you know." He said looking down at his feet. "Something special."

"So you're not going to tell me." I said slapping him lightly on the arm.

"That would be correct." He said, grabbing my arm and leading me into one of the fun houses. When we walked in there were funky mirror that made you appear larger than you were. He led me forward, when I realized we had vered off the way you were supposed to go. We were now behind the walls.

"Where are we going?" I ask, trying not to let the fear enter my voice.

"You'll see." He says. We keep walking until we are finally in a room. He closes the door behind us. "I thought we could have a little privacy." He says gesturing to the room.

"I dont think we are supposed to be back here." I say.

"Oh, come on Ally. Live a little on the wild side." He says walking towards me.

"I really think we should just go, someone could come and find us." I say walking to the door. He grabs me by the waist and slams me into the wall.

"ALLY! You are going to do what I say." He says, outlining my face with his fingers.

"Dallas please, let me go." I say trying to wiggle out of his grip. "HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!" He slaps a hand over my mouth, and his face went grim.

I sat up straight, sweat running down my face. I heard footsteps running down the hall and someone began to twist the handle on the door. I screamed bloody murder as Austin rushed in. I stopped, realizing I wasn't in my house.

"Ally, Ally. Hey what's wrong." He asks, rubbing his hand on my back. I put my head in my hands shaking my head.

"Just a bad dream, thats it." I say meekly

"Why did you scream when I came in?"

"It's just, well you see," I lift my head to glance at Austin before turning my attention to the very interesting looking wall.

"Ally?"

"Right, I kind of thought I was back at home, until you came in."

"But why did you scream?"

"It doesn't matter." I said, sliding off the bed and walking across the room to the closed door. "You can go." I said, opening the door, motioning for him to leave. "I didnt ask you to come to my rescue." He stared at me from the bed, confused, but then his face went dark.

"Fine." He said. "If that's how you want to be." Austin brushed past me and stalked down the hall. There was a slam of his bedroom door, and then I was alone.
