Dawn appears shorter than usual. The sun shone through the window and woke Yuzu up in the process. Today is Saturday, a perfect time to start a new day together with fresh breakfast and brand new relationship status. Yuzu yawned and stretched her body, avoiding any cramps and sores in several joints. She cautiously put Mei's head on where she slept earlier and let the Beautiful Raven rest. Unlike last night, Mei's respiration systems began to calm and gave Mei the restful sleep she had in a year and a half; after battling with herself, her shadow, and the uncertainty of her love for Yuzu. Yuzu turned on the stove and began to boil the water. While waiting for the water to boil, she chopped and sliced several veggies and quite handful of meat she bought last night. 'I wish Mei would like my beef stew. It has been a long time since I cooked for her.' She said to herself, smiling and carefully cutting the beef and the vegetables. Yuzu put the ingredients in the pot and let it cook for another thirty minutes; then she inserts a cup of beef stock and two tablespoons of all-purpose flour. She learned the recipe from the internet and eager to try it. Mei moved around the couch as Yuzu began to cook the stew to perfection. 'She stayed home a lot, but she knows a little bit of everything.' Yuzu thought, Mei, is capable of doing anything and did it as best as a master craftsman.

The smell of aromatic seasonings woke Mei up. 'Good morning,' she said. 'What's this smell?'

'I'm just cooking for our breakfast,' Yuzu said, looking back while stirring the stew gently. 'It's almost ready, be sure to stretch yourself and get on the dining table.' she continued.

Mei picked up her favourite bowl and sat beside Kumagoro. 'Kumagoro, how are you today?' she asked the bear.

Yuzu smiled. 'I'm fine! Thank you!' she said, making her tone a bit higher to imitate the teddy bear's voice.

She gasped, and her eyes widened. 'You can talk?!'

'Of course, I can talk! You haven't realised it yet, Mei-chan!' Yuzu replied, trying too hard not to laugh and breaks her younger sister's dream.

In all of a sudden, Mei hugged the bear and never let it go, then asked Yuzu. 'Sister, are you trying to imitate Kumagoro's voice?'

'What? No. I never want to do that, you know? I might break your heart.' She coughed to mask her imitation of Kumagoro's voice. She sighed and put the pot on the table. 'Anyways, breakfast ready! Please enjoy and take your time, and I hope you like it!' and sat down beside her.

Mei put a mouthful and said. 'About my letters,'

'Is there anything you'd like to say?' Yuzu asked, smiled, and trying to be respectful. Mei's letter is precious for both of them.

'Uh... I figure that you have not got time to reply it,' she said. 'I was wondering what's been up here.'

'About that letter, Mei-chan,' Yuzu said. 'I am speechless. I know you are a strong-willed girl, but to see you suffer because of one unannounced farewell,' Yuzu hugged her and patted her head. 'Even if it's overdramatised, I can still feel your pain, sister. I bear it with you and shall carry the burden together with you. Step-sisters are still sisters, right?'

Mei put another mouthful and nodded, leaned herself to Yuzu's shoulder while munching the stew.

'I have time to reply, but I spend most of it crying for you, sister,' Yuzu said, her eyes beaming and filled with care. 'I'm here, and will always stay here.' She said, kissing Mei's forehead and let her rest on her shoulder.
