So, usual warnings. Enjoy!

A medium sized television dimly lighted the dark room. A figure sat on a couch opposite from the screen staring intently at the flashing screen tapping his foot impatiently. The clock on the wall ticked agonizing slow. His anticipation rose with every minute, every second. His face scrunched up and he let out a snarl. How long does it take these dim-witted officers to find a body?

He resisted the urge to punch the television screen and shatter it into pieces. Instead he curled his hands into tights fists glaring dangerously at the news channel. It didn't matter if his last victim had a low presence; a corpse has the same presence as the next corpse. He knew he paced the body in an obvious place within the public.

Ahh, there's no need to worry; he thought as he stood up, they're all gone now. He strides to the wall right of the couch and swiftly pulled all nine pictures on the wall, tearing them in the process. He calmly walked over to the burning fireplace underneath the television. Without a second thought, he threw them in. He watched with a dangerous smirk as the flames danced on the surface of the photos, tickling and distorting the boys' faces in sick pleasure. The orange flames augmented as they enveloped all nine photos.

A bubbly feeling exploded within him, he clutched his sides doubling over crackling a sick twisted laughter. Dead. Those pathetic creatures are finally dead. All dead. The deranged laughter only continued harder. He eventually stopped and straightened himself.

Pride swelled in his chest. He peered down at the fireplace smiling at the black ashes. Even their disgusting images are being ridden from this world.

He stared up at the television, the smirk disappeared completely. Those filthy creatures are dead and deserve to be. The news channel flashed every so often featuring another piece of news. He didn't understand why the people are so upset at him; they should be praising him for the good deed. He stood there waiting for the news to mention his nickname- a terrible one, he deserved a higher, more fitting nickname –which it finally did.

He walked backwards to the couch placed in the center of the squared room, grabbing the glass on the side table, the one he was drinking out of and threw it at the screen. The shattering glass let out an ear-splitting shriek. His chest heaved. Only eight? Only eight! Is the public that blind to another corpse? And now the public is starting to hope… hope that he finally stopped, ridiculous! He has to go check and see if the body is still there. He paused before he began grinning like a madman. No, it's impossible that public wasn't able to find the damn body. The cops are just not mentioning it so they could try to capture him by luring him to the park where he placed the dead body. The cops, how much dumber can they get? Something like that won't fool him. But, the police would not do something like that; not tell the public of a ninth body. They already told them about the first eight bodies, they should not stop from reporting it. Unless… No, that's not possible.

He looked at the clock, it was eleven a.m. Tsk, he had things to do soon, unfortunately. He glared at the shattered television screen and at the shards of glass scattered around the fireplace. He needs to draw out more information about his latest victim and he knew who exactly he's going to get it from. His frown loosened as he smirked. He'll know if the impossible happened or not from that person. His smirked dropped. If the impossible truly did happen, there would be dear punishment to pay.

He walked back to the fireplace and gracefully kicked the shards to the sides before crouching. He placed his gloved hand on the tile surrounding the fireplace, staring intently at the smoldering flames. The screams of pain, the cries of mercy, it brought him so much joy. The final act of killing them filled him with unbearable pride and relief. He punched the tile. How do those fools not feel the same knowing those useless creatures are finally dead? How?

He blinked as he noticed a burnt picture on the side of the fireplace just slightly out reach of the violent flames. He pulled it out of the pit and turned it over. He growled dangerously as pure anger flared within him.

Asking isn't necessary anymore. He walked back to the couch and side table once more with the picture in his left hand. With his free hand, he grabbed the dagger lying on the table. He walked back to the side of the room where the pictures previously had been. Placing the photo against the wall, he slammed the dagger straight into the center of the photo, puncturing a deep hole within the white wall.

A mad laughter exploded from his lips. Of course, he should have known the ninth one was a special one; he regularly hung out with another of his kind. The mad laughter suddenly stopped, only to be replaced with another dark growl. How dare that filthy, weak creature taint another of his kind? He shall feel his wrath.

He glanced at the time once more. He shall go find that filthy creature and he needed to go find his brother and purify him before it's too late. With that he left the room.

The fire slowly died out leaving the room with the photo of a young boy with cyan coloured hair and eyes in complete darkness.

"Kagami!" Kagami instantly lifted his head at the yell from his coach.

Riko was staring intensely at him; Kagami noticed a hint of sorrow in her brown eyes, with her hands on her hips. The rest of Seirin's basketball team sat around him in his living room.

"Sorry." Kagami softly said. He couldn't help but space out.

Hyuuga's irritated face softened. "I understand you're worried but we just got here. We need to plan instead of mourning."

"But how exactly are we going to investigate? We're not exactly detectives nor do we have the authority to get concealed evidence." Koganei questioned.

Kiyoshi burrowed his brows in deep thought. "That's a good question. Well, I guess we'll just have to force our way through the authorities." He said with a large smile on his face. Everyone nearly fell forward.

"Idiot," Hyuuga smacked Kiyoshi behind the head. "We could get into loads of trouble for that."

"But we might have to do that if we want to solve the case." Riko commented with her fingers holding her chin, her face looking down at the floor.

Hyuuga's shoulders dropped. "You can't be serious."

"You kiddos, unfortunately, might have to do that." Everyone turned to see Alex standing there at the entrance (with pants on). "I was talking with Taiga earlier that I had a FBI agent as a friend-"

"You know the FBI?!" Hyuuga, Izuki and the freshmen trio yelled in disbelief.

"Yes, yes. I called her and she said she will help but she will need more information than what I gave her. So you guys need to go and get that information, whatever you can find."

"Great, but that still leaves us at square one. How exactly are we going to get the information?" Izuki asked with a sigh, dropping his head backwards.

"Maybe we could team up with the GOM?" Furihata voiced out quietly.

Kagami's ear perked up and leaped up to his feet. He threw his right arm into the side. "No way in hell." He yelled. His brows buried together.

Keeping her same position, Riko spoke. "While I agree with Bakagami, we might actually have to or we should extract the information out of them."

Hyuuga shot Riko a doubtful look. "And how are we going to extract the information from them especially with their crazed captain?"

"That's true. They won't listen or talk to us so that's why, Kagami! You're in charge of that!" Riko exclaimed. Kagami head dropped forwards, he eyed her warily.

"Huh? Why me?"

"Because Bakagami, you're the only one they will bother to include."

"What are you all going to do then?" He yelled. In response, Riko grinned mischievously. Everyone shivered excluding Alex.

"Well, I got a plan," Everybody leaned forward towards Riko who stood in the center of the living room, listening intently as she began assigning everyone's tasks. "Hyuuga, you will go to the police station and gather information from the police there and your father. Izuki, you are to accompany him. Next-"

"Oi! What makes you think I can get the information?" Hyuuga asked, annoyed.

Riko waved him off. "You're smart. Figure something out." Hyuuga sighed. "Kiyoshi, you are to be with Kuroko at the hospital."

Kiyoshi blinked as he pointed to himself. "Me?"

"Yes, you. Because you're the strongest out of all us and besides, Kuroko-kun mentioned how you are like an older brother towards him so with his parents being not here, I thought it would be the best for him to wake up and have some sort of a family figure there for him."

Kiyoshi remained silent for a moment before a wide and genuine smile lit his face. "Okay." He said softly.

"And for the rest of you, you will try to make sense of those symbols." They all grunted in response.

"But what are you going to do coach?" One of the freshmen trio asked after a second thought.

"I'm going to go with Hyuuga-kun and Izuki-kun, so we'll go ahead and tackle that information."

"Well, let's go while the day is still bright and young." Izuki spoke as he stood. They all followed suit and exited the luxurious apartment with sorrow.

Kagami was the last one out but before he could leave the safety of his home, Alex placed a hand over his shoulder. He looked at her, to find her staring at him with concerned eyes. "Don't stress yourself out too much Taiga. We will find the culprit."

Taiga shrugged her hand off his shoulder. "I'm not sure if I even want to know who it is." He muttered before leaving the apartment.

Alex stared at the closed front door with her arms at her side. "There are many thing we're not supposed to know Taiga."
