Harry and Draco spent almost all of their time in the room of requirement trying to fix the broken vanishing cabinet. "D'you think we fixed it?" asked Harry one night. They had just spent around 2 hours trying to fix the cabinet. They had no idea what they were doing, but they hoped for the best.

"I don't know, but I know how to test it," replied Draco.

"How?" Draco didn't answer, but instead grabbed a book and tore a blank page from it and a nearby quill. He quickly wrote a note. Harry took it from Draco's hand and read it.

Borgin,

If you receive this message please send your reply back through the cabinet.

"Very clear, Draco. I'm sure Borgin will just go along with this message from a stranger he suddenly receives in a cabinet," Harry rolled his eyes at his best friend. Draco sighed and put the note into the cabinet. He then closed the door. He opened the door then and saw that the note was gone.

"Well, that's gotta be a good sign. Now we wait," Harry sighed and sat down. Noticing there was a chest of quidditch balls beside him, he opened it and took out the golden snitch. He held it for a moment before letting go. He then grabbed it before it flew too far. He carried on doing this for ten minutes before Draco spoke up.

"Would you stop that? You're driving me crazy," Harry rolled his eyes before letting go of the snitch. He carried on catching it just to bug Draco. Suddenly they heard a crack coming from the cabinet, Harry walked over to it and opened it up. There was a note laying at the bottom of the cabinet. Harry picked it up and unfolded it.

Receeved yur letar

"Well, he's brilliant at spelling. Idiot," said Draco rolling his eyes. Harry chuckled at the letter.

"Definitely not the smarter wizard, anyway," said Harry. Then he grinned. "At least we know the cabinet's fixed though,"

Later on that night Harry took out his invisibility cloak and made his way out of his dorm room and out of the castle. He walked cautiously down to the edge of the forbidden forest. Then he carefully looked around to make sure there was nobody watching or within earshot. Then he attempted to contact his father.

My son, what is it? Is something wrong

No father, there is nothing wrong. I actually have good news.

Good news? What is it?

The vanishing cabinet. It's fixed. With the help of Draco, I managed to repair it earlier.

That's excellent news. Everything is set for Halloween then?

Yes Father.

And I trust all that business with the Weasley girl is over and done with.

Yes father.

Good. I must leave you now. I have plans to make. I will contact you exactly one day before Halloween. Goodbye, my son.

Goodbye father.

This ended their telepathic conversation. Harry sighed before retrieving his cloak from the ground, wrapping it around himself and walking back to the castle.

The next morning Harry told Draco everything that his father had said. "One day before Halloween. That's about a week. Dumbledore should be announcing the ball soon. I can't wait to see Dumbledore dead!," this reminded Harry that he had to take the headmasters life. Harry smiled a bit. He would enjoy doing that.

"Yes. You're not the only one that would like to see that, Draco," Draco laughed and nodded. They then headed to breakfast before going to potions. Harry didn't particularly like potions as is it was taught by Severus Snape, one of his fathers death eaters. For some reason Harry's trust for Snape was decreasing by the day.

When they reached the dungeon Harry and Draco took a seat at the back of the classroom. "The traitor looks happy," said Harry sarcastically. Draco looked at Snape before rolling his eyes.

"What's new?"

"I'm telling you, Snape's a traitor,"

"Whatever you say, Harry," sighed Draco.

"Think what you want because Snape will show his true colours in the end and something tells me my father will be most displeased!" Draco grinned. Harry glanced up at Snape only to find the greasy haired git staring back at him. As their eyes melt Harry felt something attempt to enter his mind. He pushed them out with his occlumency. Snape was trying to look into Harry's mind. Harry turned to tell Draco, but decided against it. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't want to reveal Snape's true loyalty just yet.

Finally lessons were over and Harry and Draco were on their way to dinner. They reached the Great Hall and took their seats at the Slytherin table. The food, for some reason, wasn't on any of the table. Everyone looked curiously up at Dumbledore, who stood up and cleared his throat. "If I may please have your attention, I would like to make an announcement. On the thirty first of October, Halloween night, a Halloween ball will be held here at Hogwarts. That is all," he then sat down, clapped his hands and the food appeared on all the house tables.

"Well, he made the announcement. All that's left to do is murder Dumbledore, take over Hogwarts, wipe out the mudbloods and take over the Wizarding World," said Harry quietly, so that only Draco heard. Draco laughed silently.

After Dinner they both left the Hall. Unfortunately Ginny, Ron, Granger the mudblood and the potter twins were leaving together at the exact same time. They met at the door to the Great Hall. Harry gave Ginny an emotionless look while Ron glared at him. "Come on Draco. Something stinks," they pushed passed the Weasley's and the potters and just as they were passing the mudblood Harry realised that she looked remarkably like a beaver. He sneered at her and followed Draco towards the dungeons.

Harry wanted to visit Hagrid, but he didn't think he could face him after what he had said to Harry last time he visited him, knowing what Harry was about to do. Hagrid would probably be killed on Halloween night and Harry really didn't want to face him.

They went to the dungeon and reluctantly pulled out their homework. Harry was finished ages before Draco so he decided to help him. They were finished in a matter of minutes and Harry was left to think about the coming battle. He was thinking about what would happen hen his father won. Then the image of Ginny came across his mind. He imagined her face when the world she loved was taken over by the man who killed her parents.

Harry had thought what he wanted was to stand alongside his father as they took over the world, but he wasn't so sure now. He knew letting go of Ginny was the right thing to do, but hurting her? That wasn't the right thing and he knew it. Harry shook these thoughts out of his mind. He had to let go of Ginny whether he liked it or not.
