Part 1

"Are you sure, Teddy?" She asked standing in the threshold of her best friends home. "You don't have to take her." Arizona insisted as she held her baby tight against her side showing her some affection making sure to get some last minute snuggles in.

"Henry's away for three more days and I can tell Jay is missing him," she looked down and ran her hand through the little boys unruly hair as he clung to her leg waiting for his best friend to get on his level. "It'll help, especially today."

"You?"

"Yeah," she couldn't help but chuckle lightly wrapping her arms around herself.

"Teds," Arizona spoke up seeing her best friend turn her gaze towards the ground; a sure sign that she was retreating into doubts. "He would never look at another woman," she stated knowing the reason she wanted the distraction of Charlee.

"I..." she stopped. "I know, but... I don't want people to look at him in that way, and some will if it gets out."

"I can't believe they have him traveling this time of year," Arizona admitted with a shake of her head.

Shrugging, Teddy let out a sigh before speaking, "It sucks, really sucks," she stressed, "but appearances are part of the job."

"And apparently so are some turds who wanna throw themselves at anything with money."

"Yea, really," she rolled her eyes. She knew Henry was truthful with her when he told her of the incident. Hell, she was facetiming with him at one point, so she knew he wasn't with any woman.

"I couldn't fathom."

"Imagine my surprise when he walked into his hotel room only to find a woman laying on the bed in lingerie waiting on him... while I was on the phone with him," she scoffed.

Teddy knew things like this happened, but she never thought it would happen to her husband. So, now she was scared of the woman's motive and afraid she was gonna cry foul after she got escorted out of his room and away from the hotel.

She loved that Henry was so well known in the sports world. Hell, he's amazing at what he does, but she never wanted her husband in this type of spotlight.

She believed and trusted her husband, but when other women try to become involved doubts always seem to creep up.

"Ya know," Arizona bit on the side of her jaw debating with what she was about to suggest. "Why don't you come and stay with us tonight?" She offered as Charlee began to wiggle in her arms.

She had big plans for herself and Callie after they put Charlee to bed, but seeing Teddy sad this evening made her feel for her friend.

"No," she insisted. "It's Valentine's Day and I do not wanna hear you having sex tonight, it will just make me miss Henry more."

"At least go out to dinner with us?"

"Nah," the nurse declined. "I can do without the sex eyes all night also," she laughed. "You go and enjoy the evening with your wife. I'll be entertained by these two all evening."

"Down, mama," Charlee kicked to get free from her mothers grasp.

"Okay, okay," as soon as she put her down she and Jax started to run off together. "Wait missy!" Arizona grabbed the back of her hood to keep her from going out of reach. "I want my love." She stated holding her arms out for her daughter.

Turning around quickly Charlee obliged her mother's wishes hoping to get away sooner.

Arizona's heart melted when her daughter turned and flung herself into her arms.

It was always so hard saying goodbye to her little girl.

"Bye, my sweet Charlee, mama loves you," Arizona hugged her daughter tightly as she said goodbye for the night. "Mommy and I will see you in the morning, and we'll all go out for breakfast," she eyed her friend in question getting a nod in return.

"Love Mama."

"Love, big girl." She kissed her daughter's soft brown hair. "You be good for your aunt Teddy," she got out before releasing her hold only to watch the little girl sprint off in the same direction as Jax.

"Si, Mama."

Arizona already felt the pain of missing her little Calliope in her chest as she ran off.

"Are you sure, Teds?" She had no plans on pushing her daughter off on someone tonight, but now that Teddy had offered she really would enjoy this alone time with her wife.

"Go," she pushed the woman away. "I promised Jay he could have a night filled with junk food and movies. The first words out of his mouth were 'with Charlee', so go... enjoy lovers day with Callie."

"Thanks Teds," Arizona quickly hugged her friend and backed out of the doorway. "Call me if she becomes a handful."

"Never!"

"Love you!"

"Love you, too."

With groceries in hand Arizona slammed the front door shut with her foot and trudged down the foyer to the kitchen of their quiet home.

There weren't too many days it was this quiet, but when it was she tried to take full advantage of it and her wife.

After dropping her daughter off at her best friends house she managed to run a few errands and swing by the store to grab a some things to make Callie a special dinner.

They had agreed they weren't going all out for Valentine's Day this year, but now that they had the night alone she felt a candlelit dinner would be a nice change for them.

With the holidays quickly behind them everything was going full speed as of late and they hadn't had a chance at alone time in what seemed like months.

So, tonight she wanted to have some quality time with her woman.

She had it all planned out. A super romantic dinner and hopefully an even more romantic private time ending with her beloved yelling her name in bliss.

Or, at least that's what she had envisioned for the evening.

So, getting a start, Arizona blared the radio to drown everything out and immersed herself into her cooking.

She only had an hour and some odd minutes to get dinner ready and a romantic setting in place before Callie returned from work. And by the looks of it she was cutting it close.

Babe. - Callie

Arizona? - Callie

Callie had texted her a few times trying to get a response. She even managed to unsuccessfully call her twice before trying to reach Arizona one last time through text.

When you get a chance let the dogs out to run. I didn't get time to let them out before I left this morning. Be home soon. - Callie xoxo

Arizona was just finishing the appetizers when she noticed her phone go dark.

After reading her wife's texts she became a little disappointed she wasn't going to finish dinner before Callie returned home.

Sighing after residing to the fact that the first half of the night wasn't going to go as planned, she threw the dish towel down that rested on her shoulder and complied with her wife's wish to let the dogs out.

She felt bad for them knowing they had been caged all day even though they had plenty of room to roam in their pen.

Throwing her phone on the cushioned chair near her, she then leaned against the warm brick fireplace when she heard the sound of a door creak open.

She watched as the woman stepped outside and fix her gaze in the distance towards the green land before her.

However, it didn't take more than two seconds before the crackle and flame from the fire gave her presence away.

"Callie?"

She watched Arizona quickly turn her attention to her left and squint her eyes trying to focus in the darkness around her.

"Is that you?" She questioned as her vision became clearer.

But all Callie did was watch the woman slowly continue her way.

"Yes," she finally spoke.

Callie couldn't help but smile as her wife slowly sauntered towards her until she was close enough.

"Stop right there, Mrs. Robbins," she halted the woman dead in her tracks with her command.

"What are you up to?" She questioned when the light from the fire finally gave her wife's face a clear glow. "And," a quick movement caught her attention for a split second. "Why did you lie to me?" She crossed her arms when she saw Charlie dash further into the dark abyss of their yard.

She watched as the brunette brought her index finger to her lips to quieten her, but that wasn't what made time stand still for Arizona.

At the snap of her wife's fingers hundreds of little white lights lite up around them which made Arizona's world feel like an instant romance novel.

"Calliope," she said in amazement looking around them.

Callie watched her wife bring her hands to her mouth in awe of her surroundings before she spoke again.

"Ya see," she smiled finally meeting up with her wife. "You are not the only one who can plan surprises."

"Clearly," she chuckled as her lover pulled her into her arms.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Arizona," she whispered in her ear squeezing her wife tight.

"Happy Valentine's Day, love," she returned the embrace for several seconds until she pulled back and noticed all of her surroundings again. "Callie, what did you do?"

Lights were strung above their head to give off a romantic glow. Their outdoor table was covered with a red tablecloth adorned with 2 candles, rose petals, a bottle of her favorite white wine, and two entrees.

"You made pineapple bowls?"

"Yea," she knew Arizona has been wanting to try them for a while now. "I kinda..." she raised her shoulders in a shrug. "knew Teddy was going to ask for the baby before I left for work this morning," she admitted when Arizona glared at her. "I wanted to do something special for you," she defended. "And, my first surgery wasn't until 11 o'clock so, I decorated and started on dinner."

"But, how in the world did you do this when I've been home for more than thirty minutes?"

"Well when you told me you were going to take Charlee to Teddy's and run a few errands I rushed home and finished everything and have been waiting out here hoping you'd notice the dogs were running loose, but you never did," she laughed.

"So you had to text me to get me out here," Arizona stated wrapping her arms around Callie's back again.

"Yeah," she chuckled holding her wife close. "Are you surprised?"

"Beyond, but I have appetizers ready and was starting on homemade noodles."

"Were you gonna make me a fancy dinner?"

"I made bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer and I was about to prepare noodles for crab alfredo."

"Damn it," she said a bit disappointed, but was elated Arizona was going to surprise her.

"I was trying, I even had stuff for a candle lit dinner, but you beat me to it," she laughed pulling back to look at the place sitting Callie had prepared.

"We can save your appetizers for later," Callie winked and pulled the chair out for her wife. "I kept dinner warm on the grill, thought for sure you'd smell it," she laughed, "I know it's the middle of winter, but I have the patio heater on and pulled the table close enough to feel the warmth from the fire. If it isn't enough we can go inside."

"No. I wanna stay out here," Arizona smiled at the sweet gesture and took her seat.

"Good, I thought it would be nice for a change of scenery.

"It's perfect."

After taking their dishes inside, Arizona came back outside to the patio where she found her wife standing near the fire with her arms wrapped around herself seeming to be deep in thought.

"Dinner was delicious, Calliope," she spoke up pulling the brunette from her thoughts. "Thank you for that." She said walking up behind the woman. "It was a perfect evening."

"You are welcome," the woman hummed when Arizona wrapped her up in her arms.

"Whatcha thinking about?" She whispered in her ear and placed a light kiss on her long brown hair.

"Nothing," the woman turned and borrowed herself into her wife's chest needing to feel safe and secure in her arms.

"Ya sure?" The blonde questioned holding Callie tight. She could tell her wife's mind was currently elsewhere.

"Just in the moment is all," she whispered rubbing her nose over the fabric on her wife's shoulder and inhaling her favorite scent.

"You are too quiet," she kissed her on the side of her forehead. "My, in the moment, Calliope rambles on and on," she caressed her back as they held onto one another. "What's going through that beautiful head, babe?"

"I'm-ovulating," Callie finally confessed after a beat.

"I... know," Arizona whispered. "I saw your test in the bathroom trash yesterday," she too confessed.

"Yeah," she quietly replied before continuing. "We went through seven viles since we decided to throw it all away and just had fun."

"We have," the blonde agreed.

"I'm not sure why I even tested because I think-ah," she pulled back with a sigh. "I think I'm done, Arizona. I'm not sure I wanna try anymore," she searched the blue eyes that were shining back to her. "Not with me carrying anyway. If-if you want to I'm all for that, but I don't think I can go through this anymore."

She waited for her wife to say something, but Arizona stayed quiet and listened intently. "I know I'm springing this on you on Valentine's Day of all days and I had no plans to, but please," she continued. "Please don't be mad at me," she pleaded when she saw blue eyes peer up towards the night sky.

Taking a deep breath to clear her thoughts, the blonde searched the stars for answers before finally meeting those watery brown eyes that she always found herself drowning in, time after time.

"I figured this was coming," Arizona eventually spoke. She knew that Callie's time was ending sooner rather than later. "I read your journal entry last night," she sighed remembering how much her wife's words ripped her heart out. "and I know how much this has tore you apart on the outside much less on the inside. And, I see how you look at those pregnant moms that come to the clinic," she continued. "and it kills me inside, Calliope, it kills me every time I see that look of sadness in your eyes because I can't seem to give you that," she looked at her solemnly. "Every time we have tried lately you have felt different, like you were pregnant only to find out you weren't and it's devastating to watch you go through that time and again. Having our child...it-it's all you ever dreamed of," she caressed the brunette's face when a tear slipper from her eye. "And I can't give that to you."

"Arizona,"

"No, Calliope. I can't" she stated. "I can't even count on my hands how many times we've tried unsuccessfully in the last two years. It's all been so hard on you. I hate to see you give up on that, but if this is what you truly want then yeah I'm okay with it. I'll stand behind you."

"You are?" Callie questioned her voice full of emotion. This was the last thing she wanted but she just couldn't do this anymore, at least not right now. She needed some time.

Nodding, Arizona leaned in to plant a quick tender kiss on red lips before speaking. "I am," she agreed sadly. She wanted nothing more than for Callie to have their next child, but she didn't think that was going to be in the cards for them anymore. "But," she paused with a shrug of her shoulders now feeling bad for what she had done today. "on one condition."

"Uh-oh," Callie interrupted her.

"Yeah, uh-oh... maybe on my behalf." She looked at her lover with an oops expression.

"What is it?"

"I may have got a vile after dropping Charlee off at Teddy's earlier."

"You didn't,"

"I did," Arizona gave her an I'm in trouble smile until the brunette dropped her forehead to the blonde's chest. "So, please, give me one more shot, Callie. If you give me tonight I will never ask you go through this again," she requested rubbing the brunette's back.

Thinking a few moments before she spoke Callie decided to conceded to her wife's final request.

"It does cost a lot to let it go to waste."

What was one more try, right?

She knew it wouldn't work, but she wanted to appease her wife since she sprung this on her out of the blue.

"Okay," Callie held her tight.

"Okay?" Arizona tangled her fingers into brown hair and tugged gently to get her to meet her gaze.

"Okay," she nodded quickly crashing their lips together in a heated kiss.

"Wait," Arizona pulled back quickly halting Callie when she tried to deepen the moment. "Really? Cause you just went through this whole spill."

"I've got no hope left, Arizona, but if it makes you happy why not?"

"You are what makes me happy, Callie," she cupped her face, "nothing more."

"That's not true, Charlee makes you happy."

"But, if it weren't for you we wouldn't have her."

Callie saw the sincerity in her wife's eyes as she spoke.

"You are what make me happy too."

"Glad to hear it," she smiled and placed a light kiss on the tip of the woman's nose. "Know what I want right now?" She caressed her face.

"No,"

"I want..." she leaned in to whisper in her ear. "You to fuck me, right here," she purred.

"Here,"

"Now,"

"Fuck me," Arizona breathed collapsing on to the woman before her as she tried to regain her senses.

"I think I did," the brunette laughed pulling her hand out of her lovers pants.

"Fuckin me senseless against the French doors," she panted, "is that what you had in mind for tonight?" She questioned when a cool chill ran through her body.

"Well, no," Callie caressed her back when she felt the women shiver. "I was hoping to be the one pressed up against our house begging for mercy," she laughed.

"Oh, babe," Arizona finally pulled back when she was certain she could stand on her own again. "You are in for a lon..." she couldn't finish her sentence because the sight of her wife licking her arousal off her fingers drove her crazy.

"God," the blonde grabbed the surgeon's head and forcefully brought their lips together in a heated kiss.

Plunging her tongue in Callie's mouth Arizona immediately moaned at the warm taste. "Fuck, I love how I taste on your tongue," she murmured diving back in until they both needed air.

Arizona's head spun every time Callie would lick her arousal off of her fingers. There was just something about the gesture that drove her wild and now she had to have her own taste of her wife.

"If I recall correctly," she breathed against red lips before pecking them. "I'm two up, so we need to catch you up," she grabbed on to the brunette's hips and squeezed her. "Bedroom," she finally pulled back from the woman. "Now," she grabbed Callie's ass before reaching behind her and turning the door knob to enter their home.

"Wait," Callie giggled walking through the doors after Arizona smacked her on the ass when she let her go. "We need to put everything away."

"Hell no," Arizona grabbed the back loop of her jeans trying to avert her in the other direction. "That can..." she halted when her eye's landed upon the sight that left her silent. "Tha..." she tried, but she couldn't form words when she saw her lace panties. "Is that ahhh," she swallowed the saliva that collected in her mouth when she saw what her wife was wearing under her jeans.

"What?" She tried to turn but realized what rendered Arizona speechless. "Lingerie," she bit her bottom lip.

"You've had that on..." she looked her up and down, "the entire night?"

"Yeah," she stated grabbing the hem of her shirt and pulling it over her head revealing a black lace top.

"Tell me," she felt her mouth water when her lover revealed her tone, sexy body. "Tell me, baby," she swallowed heavily, "please say there is a garter?" She questioned her eyes soaking up every inch of her wife's caramel torso.

"And black lace stockings up..." she grinned touching the apex of her thigh, "to here."

Callie loved leaving her wife shocked.

Watching Arizona's face turn with want as blue eyes darken always caused butterflies in her stomach.

"Calliope," she said without taking her eyes off the barely there black material on her lover's body.

"Yea,"

"Will you let me do any thing to you?"

"I'll let you do every thing to me," she stepped closer when the blonde finally met her eyes.

"Come," she reached for her tanned hand.

"Where are we going?"

"To our room," Arizona quickly pulled the brunette towards the stairs. "Cause," she turned reaching the bottom step. "I'm gonna bend you over and fuck you so hard," she watched the brunette's eyes turn black with want. "You're gonna come hard and you are going to come fast. Then, I'm going to make love to you. The kind of love that every touch, every glance, every kiss, every caress will leave you soulfully and eternally satisfied," she watched as Callie nodded her head vigorously. "The kind of love that will fill you with hopes and dreams. Do you understand? "

"Yes," she confirmed feeling her wife pull her up the stairs. "Wait," she tugged.

"What?" She turned.

"Tequila,"

Callie knew how much her wife enjoyed drunken sex as well as she.

"Mmmm..." she hummed biting the bottom of her lip. "I love that beautiful brain of yours." She kissed her forehead. "You get that sexy ass upstairs," she smacked her again causing Callie to yelp out at the sting.

"Ouch,"

"Take those pants off," she giggled. "I'll be right back," she smacked her on the ass again before running to the kitchen to retrieve the alcohol.

Part 2 coming in a day or two.
