Ch. 8 One Shifter to Another
Hello one and all, I'm here again and I plan to update at least once a week maybe more. that's my hope. I also should have much better quality in my stories thanks to my wonderful beta Fairy-L-Tail. Give that person a giant round of applause and check out her stories please. Now onto the story!
~Half an hour before Rose's Injury~
Behemoth dodged another shot of acid and rolled backward as he attempted to escape the Hydra's long range of spit. His hopes, however, were dashed as the Hydra spat from one of its heads and the burning liquid hit the ground next to him.
"I bet you wish you hadn't tried to follow me, huh?" Tyler yelled down to Behemoth.
Glaring at him, Behemoth yelled up to Tyler "No I don't! At least I got to your little lover!"
"You're going to wish you hadn't said that," Tyler glared.
"And why's that?" Behemoth asked, his voice condescending.
"Because I don't just have a Hydra as a pet. I have many, many, more." Tyler answered darkly as he raised his hand in the air. His Hydra, ceasing fire, backed down as Tyler's hand shone a bright purple hue. Silence soon followed as the light faded and Tyler put his hand back to his side. Looking around, a moment of fear plastered on his face, Behemoth realized nothing was going to come⦠or so he thought.
Beginning to laugh, Behemoth shouted up towards Tyler. "That was a good one, I bet that was to scare me, and you were planning to hit me while I was turned away, weren't you?" he asked and Tyler shook his head in answer, but stayed silent. The Hydra started to fire its acid again and Behemoth cursed under his breath. Dodging to the left and starting to run forward, Behemoth jumped over acid pools as he ran straight towards Tyler and the Hydra. Tyler raised an eyebrow casually as Behemoth got past the constant barrage of acid spit.
Jumping up towards Tyler, Behemoth shifted his arms into sharp, double-edged swords. "Take this!" Behemoth yelled as he began to slash his arms through each head consecutively, their heads falling to the ground with a loud thud. Silence followed as Behemoth tried to catch his breath after the swift decapitation of the Hydra.
"Finally its dead." he said relieved.
Snorting, Tyler looked down at Behemoth, who glared right back at him. "What?" Behemoth asked. Suddenly hearing a sizzling noise, Behemoth looked around him, watching shocked as the heads of the Hydra started to sizzle and melt into the battlefield. An indescribable, but bone chilling noise was heard as Behemoth slowly turned back to Tyler. His eyes widened as he saw, one by one, the heads of the Hydra starting to regenerate and double.
"You have got to be kidding me." he gaped as Tyler chuckled and shook his head.
"Nope and that's just the beginning." Tyler smirked as he pointed to Behemoth, the Hydra continuing its assault of acid.

~Mount Hakobe, Unknown point of view~
I heard his call, though I'm reluctant to come to his aid. He's nice enough but he knows the risks of me appearing in front of humans, the killing urge I feel toward them in that form. I already attacked one human this year, taking out a couple organs and taking his arm and leg, though I will be the first to admit that the human was putting up a freaking fight, that bastard, he should've died where he laid. And yet, he didn't. I think he injured me more than I injured him.
Damn Zeref for cursing me all those years ago, damn him and his whole guild full of demons. They wouldn't stand a chance against me, I could blow them all straight to hell... and I wouldn't even lose any sleep over it. As I look out at the distant town of Magnolia, seeing the explosions even from this distance, I began to ponder; asking myself a question that seemed to always go unanswered.
"What does he expect me to do?" I question, Tyler's call even stronger. I flinch and walk to the mountain edge, looking down at the town one more time as I jump, my wings ripping out my back as I do so. I let out a roar as I descend, my blue and black scales appearing as I turn into my current demonic form.

Behemoth yelled in fright as the Hydra had a particular close hit; the acid splashing right next to the mage.
Suddenly a roar from the direction of Mt. Hakobe rippled through the air, the Hydra cowering in fear as Tyler turned to stare at the mountain, and Behemoth stopping all movement. Tyler frowned as a small black form flew through the air to them, the silhouette growing slowly larger as it is got nearer.
"So he finally made up his mind." Tyler said under his breath as he turned back to Behemoth who was still staring at the approaching form; fear cast over his face.
"Now your fate is sealed. I am the only person in the world who could tame this beast; a companionship that only I could forge. Be prepared for the most painful fight of your life." Tyler said, drawing Behemoths attention. As he began to speak the silhouette landed, its impact making a massive crater in the ground. As the dust cleared, the figure became visible. The figure was massive, layered with muscle upon muscle; making it seem like a walking tank. It was spotted with black and blue markings all across its body making flame like designs, it had massive birdlike wings that were about the size of a full grown man, and its head seemed human like with deep blue eyes and two slits for nostrils, the gleaming white fangs completing the view.
"Ready to meet a real behemoth?" Tyler asked as Behemoth stared at the creature in pure fear. With a roar the beast charged at him, its claw outstretched as Behemoth stood frozen; so afraid to run, knowing it would be pointless.
And that's a wrap. By the way Behemoth is like this because he thought Tyler would be a weakling without any magic, which was not the case. Also HAPPY NEW YEAR I would have made this bigger but its new years and I just want to chill with the family. I would again like to thank Fairy-L-Tail for Beta-ing my story, and like always: Fav, Foll, and REVIEW TO BECOME A BEAST!
