The conflict continues. After Woodrow called in his entire crew , an explosion happens as they entered through the front door.
Tora was surprised "What in the hell was that?" he slowly backed up as rubble skittered across the floor from the entrance.
Daiko turned around to see some of the Rust Pirates writhing on the floor and laughed. "Whatever it was, it sure helped us out! Haha!" As the Rust Pirates began to get up and recover, Semi and Lemi walked in from the damaged front door. Semi was holding a large, heavy looking steel fishing pole that had the words 'Catfish' etched all over it, it's handle was in the shape of a catfish. Lemi (surprisingly) was pushing a large mobile cannon on wheels that had smoke flowing out of it's mouth.
Daiko smiled looking at the two "So you guys decided to fight too! Awesome! I didn't think you guys were gonna make it! Heh, I thought you two were cowards!"
The two girls sighed at Daiko's overly-blunt statement "Well, we weren't gonna let two stupid pirates save our village. And besides, I really hate that guy." Lemi said while looking at a baffled Woodrow. Semi slowly walked towards Tora.
Daiko laughed loudly at Lemi "HAHA! Lemi you look pretty funny pushing a cannon around!"
Tora questioned the girls' weapons of choice, one had a fishing rod and the other had a cannon, it truly was an odd scene "It's good you two decided to show up and all, but what the hell are you doing with a fishing pole, Semi? And Lemi, where in the world did you get a damn cann-" Tora was interrupted by a good whack in the head from Semi's fishing pole, much to his discontent. *WHACK!*
"ARGH! WHAT THE HELL DID I DO THIS TIME!" Tora began to turn red again as he rubbed the huge swell on his head. Lemi and Daiko laughed aloud.
Semi explained "That's what you get for calling me an angry mess earlier, you idiot! Honestly, I don't know what it is but I really don't like you!" she said.
Tora thought to himself as he scowled "This bitch is seriously getting on my last nerve! I need to take this anger out on something now! Grr!" his skin began to turn more and more red as the pupils in his eyes disappeared, leaving them completely white.
Daiko watched Tora in curiosity "Uh oh, Semi, I think you made him too mad!"
Semi looked at Daiko and crossed her arms "Hmph! Like I care!"
"S-sorry about my sister, Mr. Tora!" Lemi said worriedly
Suddenly, Woodrow yelled aloud at a dazed Julio "Julio, what are you doing just sitting there? You're the strongest one here, so kill all four of them right now!"
Julio stood up vigorously and gave a final, loud war cry "Y-yes sir. JULIO SMASH RAAARGH!" the large man charged towards the four.
"DIIIIEEEE!!"an enraged Tora turned around to face the charging man and punched him, very hard in the face*BANG!*, shattering all of his remaining teeth and sending him rolling back into wall*CRASH!*. Julio never got back up again. Tora turned back to normal he was hyperventilating and looked very exhausted.
Daiko clapped and gave thumbs up "Holy crap! Nice punch First Mate Tora! I told you you'd get stronger!" he said.
"Oh *pant* ...*pant* just*pant* ... shut up*pant*... Captain...*pant*" Tora looked very tired and wasn't interested in Daiko's appraisal.
"Amazing. Are you two really that strong?" Lemi was impressed.
"Damn right we are! I have to be if I want to be King !" Daiko flexed .
Lemi looked at Semi smiled "See Semi? You can rest easy now, we might actually win this fight!"
Semi sighed "I'll believe it when I see it, Lemi. Julio is nothing compared to Woodrow." she said.
"J-J-JULIO!" Woodrow and the rest of the Rust Pirates yelled, realizing that their physically strongest member just got knocked out.
"What are you idiots waiting for? Attack them now!" Woodrow ordered as the Rust Pirates closed in on the four from all sides.
Daiko faced Lemi "Hey Lemi, can you fire that cannon again, it was awesome!"
Lemi smiled "Sure thing, Daiko! Here, let me just..." After cocking the large weapon, Lemi fired another cannonball into the crowd*BOOM!*, causing another explosion among Woodrow's followers. Semi proceeded to beat many of them into submission with her fishing pole, which she handled just like a bat. She spun her weapon around herself rapidly knocking even more of them back, it almost seemed as if the fishing rod was moving on its own.
"Oh, and by the way, this isn't just any other fishing rod!" She said as the pirates questioned her weapon of choice.
Still exhausted, Tora stepped forward to fight as the remainder of the Rust Pirates, including a weakened Woodrow, grouped up and charged. Woodrow shouted "I've come too far earned too much money here to be beaten by kids like you!"
Daiko extended his arm in front of Tora, signaling him to stand back "You look tired Tora, so relax. Let me handle this, alright? " Daiko smiled, kneeled down and concentrated as both of his legs turned a dark gray.
"They're all yours, Daiko." Tora said as Semi and Lemi caught their breath.
Daiko's shins instantly turned into iron springs(Just like Bellamy). "Iron... Spring!" Daiko said as he began hopping up and down on his transformed legs, it looked like he was enjoying himself, doing back and front flips while laughing.*~BOING!~*...*~BOING!~*...*~BOING!~*...*~BOING!~* "Weeeee!"
"What in the world is that? What's happening to his legs!" Lemi said as she raised her hand to her mouth.
"Just watch. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty surprised myself, this kid is the strangest person I've ever met. I feel like everyday I'm going to learn something new about him..."Tora grinned as Daiko kneeled once again to gain momentum and launched vertically into the air using his leg springs, the force of his jump cracked the ground that was beneath him.
"Okay... eat this. Woodrat!"Daiko bounced off of the ceiling of the building and accelerated downwards towards the group of charging (and surprised) Pirates. Daiko's legs turned to normal as he curled himself into a ball "Here we go!... CANNONBALL!" Daiko's collision with the ground caused a huge crater and a large cloud of debris. Woodrow and his remaining cronies were sent flying and slammed into the walls, unconscious.
...
...
Out of the debris walked a chuckling Daiko, laughing and dusting himself off."Heh! Child's play! Fun too!" he said. "No wonder you guys are scared to set sail, you really suck!"
"Devil Fruit, huh? Amazing..." Semi said in relief as she and Lemi sat back to back. "Yup." Daiko said as Tora walked towards a wall and sat.
"About time we beat those guys. I haven't fought like this in a long time, I seriously have to start training from now on." Tora yawned.
Out of the cloud of debris walked an enraged but limping Woodrow with an evil look on his face "I won't... I won't be beaten here by a couple of kids! I don't even know who you two are!" Woodrow yelled at the four people before him.
Daiko smiled "Still up, huh Woodrat? Just call me Daiko. And we're beating you up for trying to trap us and the rest of the villagers here!" Daiko stepped forward to finish the weakened Woodrow.
However, he stopped walking once he felt a hand on his shoulder from behind, it was Semi.
She spoke to Daiko "Let me finish this Daiko, it's me and my sister that he's been messing with over the years. Thanks for the help, but I want to take it from here. This whole time, I never realized, he's even more pathetic than I thought." The white-haired pirate nodded to her words. She walked ahead of Daiko and slowly walked to Woodrow. Lemi simply watched her sister from the sidelines.
"Be careful, Semi." Lemi said quietly
Woodrow fake smiled and backed up slowly in fear as Semi approached him with her steel fishing rod in hand. He made excuses to avoid his punishment "H-h-hey, Semi dear! I wasn't really planning to steal from all the villagers, I swear! You believe me right? I never meant to hurt anyone I promise! Semi, you cooking skills were truly one of a kind, by the way... I really enjoy your onion soup! You- you believe me... ... ... right?"
Semi sighed "For years you had us trapped on this island and even killed some people. You tormented my sister and exiled my father, So no, I don't believe you!" The young pink haired girl took her fishing pole and hit Woodrow in the face, sending him into a table behind him.*WHAAACK!*
"AAARGH! MY FACE, DAMMIT!" Woodrow rolled around on the ground, he then slowly made it back to his feet, "Fine then! If you won't let me get away I'll just kill everyone by destroying this entire buiding! Die! Beige Ruin!" Woodrow ran to the side of the building and put placed of his hands on the wall, causing the entire large building to begin collapsing into sand. The floor, ceiling and walls began to quickly form cracks and crevices.
Tora stood up as large bits of the ceiling slowly crashed into the ground. "Dammit! C'mon we have to get out of here! This nutcase is trying to take everyone with him!" Tora shouted.
Semi and Lemi turned around and said in unison "Right!"
Among the chaos of the shattering building, Daiko cheered "Ughh finally, I hate this place and that Woodrat guy! Good riddance!"
Woodrow, completely out of his mind simply stood there with his hands still on the wall, and a disturbingly evil look on his face.
Lemi's eyes widened as she noticed a large part from the ceiling about to land on her sister, she shouted "H-hey watch out.. above you Semi!"
Semi was shocked to see the large object about to land on her and covered her head in fear. Daiko shouted "Iron Chained Fist!" the young pirate sent his transformed arm into the large boulder, shattering it in many pieces and saving Semi.
Semi said in relief "Th-thanks Daiko."
Daiko gave a thumbs up "No problem, but let's get out of here, hurry!"
The young four finally made it outside and turned back to see the large center building completely collapse into a huge pile of sand. The four sighed in relief. A large column of debris ascended into the sky from the remains of the center building signaling the final fight of Dira.
One Day Later
Daiko and Tora were sitting at the Twin Rose diner, eagerly waiting for food. Semi was cooking in front of them on the other side of the bar. She was wearing her usual attire but had a golden Chef's hat that had the name 'Master Carmen' on it in big, red letters[hint]. She was done cooking plate full of seasoned vegetable rice and red chicken curry for both Daiko and Tora and served both on a metal tray. The presentation of the food was flawless as you would expect from any 5 star restaurant and not from a run-down looking diner. Green peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes colored the dish wonderfully and gave it an irresistible aroma. Tora ate some and smiled "Well this actually tastes pretty good." he then began hogging it all down. Most cooks become skilled from experience, but for Semi, it seems to be in her blood.
"Well of course it does, my sister is an unofficial professional cook, you know." Lemi said as she walked in from a room door with paint all over her fingers and clothes.
"Where have you been Lemi? Why are you covered in paint?" Semi asked after tucking her chef hat away.
"Its a secret!" Lemi said with a giggle.
"Oh whatever." Semi rolled her eyes.
Out of nowhere, Tora shouted "DAIKO, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" his eyes widened and his jaw dropped to the floor while watching Daiko eat the metal tray served by Semi. Yes, you read that correctly, Daiko is eating the tray.
Daiko swallowed a bit of the tray and looked at Tora, puzzled."What? I'm hungry! What are you getting so worked up about? I've been eating metal and wood since I was 8!" He said as Semi and Lemi laughed loudly.
"That isn't normal you idiot!" the former marine shouted.
"It must be that Devil Fruit of yours, Daiko." Lemi said observantly.
"I've never heard of a Devil Fruit that makes you eat iron..." Semi responded. "Then again, the worlds a big place."
He finished eating the metal tray and belched loudly "*BUUUURP!*Hey who cares?! We're leaving this island soon and I want you two to join my crew!".
The request surprised Semi and Lemi who then yelled " NO WAY!" is unison, much to Daiko's displeasure and Tora's amusement. "Oh c'moooon, Semi you're like a pro cook. And Lemi you're good at blowing things up, pleeease! This is destiny! It's not a coincidence!" Daiko got on his knees and folded his hands together.
"For the last time Daiko, no! These villagers are our people and this is our home, we can't just leave like that. Besides, I have no reason to be a pirate." Lemi said shrugging.
"Well actually Lemi," Semi intervened "we might actually have one."
What is it Semi?" Lemi asked as her sister sat at one of the diner chairs thinking. "papa wanted to be a Pirate remember? He used to say that the say was calling out to him, remember Lemi?" Semi said as Lemi nodded while frowning.
"Well yeah, but papa died because he was a pirate! He was a fool! He abandoned us! Thats even less reason to become one! You remember what happened last time you listened to him?" Both Semi and Lemi unexpectedly began to whimper remembering their father's fate at sea, making Daiko feel guilty.
Daiko didn't know how to handle the situation, so he just gave up "Uhhh, don't cry! I'm sorry I asked! You don't have to come!" Daiko stood up as Tora took a drink from some coffee, watching the conversation of the sidelines.
"C'mon Tora, let's just leave them alone. I guess we'll see you two later. After I become the pirate king that is... hehe. But seriously, don't cry!" The two pirates stood up and headed for the door.
Tora nodded in appreciation "Thanks for the food."
Before they could leave, Semi quickly wiped her tears away and yelled to them, making Tora and Daiko come to a halt. "Wait! Daiko! Tora! I'll come with you !".
"Semi what the hell are you talking about?! Do you just wanna die for nothing like papa? That's so stupid Semi. Stupid! You can die out there!" Lemi yelled at Semi. Lemi's anger was pretty justified, as Semi's inherited lenient attitude toward piracy was what triggered some of the past events.
"Well we've been trapped on this island for years and I'm just about ready to see the world. Besides, how else am I gonna cook every type of fish in the sea, like the Monk Catfish?" Semi said, cheering up "And lastly, I don't think papa is dead, something happened to him but he's still alive. So, I'm going to try to find him, if I can... Lemi, we need to speak to him, atleast one more time."
Daiko smiled also "Awesome!"
Lemi sighed "You really still believe in that junk, Semi? I can't believe you're saying this! Have you lost it?"
Tora scratched his head "...Monk Catfish...?""
Very annoyed, Lemi explained "You see, before our father left this island, he used to tell us stories about a place known as the All Blue, which few people have visited. According to a master pirate who found it, there is a legendary fish there known as the Monk Catfish and anyone who catches it is labeled as the best fisherman in the seas. The person also gets to make a wish. Sounds pretty stupid doesn't it?"
Tora shrugged "Sorta, I guess." he wasn't as interested in the conversation as he should've been.
Daiko's eyes sparkled with interest "That sounds awesome Semi! Are you really gonna catch it?"
"It's real, and I AM going to catch it!" She said with confidence.
Lemi frowned "I just don't want you to end up like papa, Semi..."
Daiko smiled and spoke up to reassure Lemi "We aren't gonna die Lemi! We're gonna sail the world," Daiko turned around from the door "and we're gonna live to tell about it too!" he said giving a thumbs up."Mark my words, Lemi. We'll live!"
