Very carefully, Inuyasha placed Sey on the ground closet to the fire and then sat beside him. Miruko smiled but didn't say anything as Chico and Ren jumped up and ran to the boy.

"Sey!" Ren yelled with tears rushing down his eyes as the two ran into him. Sey hugged them both and let them cry, his face very grim though as Inuyasha kept him upright with one hand. Kohuko looked at Sey in wonder, staring at the glimpses of white wings behind him. Until his back is healed, he can't hide them under his shirt like he used to. The only one who's never seen them is Kohuko though.

"It's okay you two. Everyone's alive, everyone's going to recover," He said softly, kissing Ren's head first and then Chico's. Sango and Kagome came in from the kitchen at the voice, and then stared at wonder at him. He shouldn't be up.

"Am I not supposed to be up?" He asked in his usual soft voice as the two stared at him. They both shook their heads no. They were only surprised that he was already up.

"We just didn't expect you be able to come in here on your own," Kagome said and smiled. Sey smiled back, but it was strained.

"Inuyasha helped me up. He told me that you wanted to hear my side of the attack," He responded. Kagome's smile fell. Sey gently pushed the boys away from him, shooing them toward the kitchen. "Can you two go play in the kitchen for a while?" He asked them. They nodded their head, wiped the tears from the eyes, and then left.

"I'll watch them," Sango volunteered and gently ushered Kagome forward. Kagome should be the one to sit and listen. Her opinions and comments always made things go more smoothly. She took a seat in front of Sey and next to Inuyasha. Miruko inched closer inwards as well as Kohuko. Sey watched the boy, but didn't say anything as he continued to stare at his wings and took a seat next to Kagome.

"Where do you want me to start?" Sey asked. He still looked very tired, but no one wanted to put him back to bed yet. They wanted to hear more of the story. He folded his legs inward and hunched over them. Inuyasha took his hand away and relaxed.

"Start right before the attack," Inuyasha said, diverting his eyes away. He did that a lot when he knew they were going to tell him something bad. Sey kept his eyes trained on him though because he knew that the man was the only one who would fully understand why they did what they did.

"The sun had set. Me and Star were cleaning up, the twins were asleep in there room, and the boys were playing "apples" on the floor in here. It was raining really hard. Kanga came running in, saying we had to hide. We didn't even get to respond before they started tearing the house apart. We went outside while Star took the kids toward the rooms to hide. A few attacked us, but they kept going for the house. They tore apart the roof. Star brought the kids out and we sent them into the trees while we kept the wasps away. Me and Kanga fought, and then the wasps started getting us. Kanga was pinned down first, and then I was. I passed out right after my wings were stabbed, and that's it," Sey said, pausing and stopping as parts came to him.

"Where did Star go?" Kagome asked. Sey turned and looked at her confused.

"She was heading to the road…a tree fell on one of the kids I think. They didn't make it to the road I know. Star sent Kiki in the direction of the road, but she sent the boys under the house. The wasps got through and started to get her then. She ran in the opposite direction of the road I think. Kanga would know more though," Sey said and shook his head. He looked at all of them.

"It was Kiko that the tree fell on," Inuyasha said. Sey looked to him and nodded his head.

"He's okay though," Sey said confidently.

"He's healing now in the other room. His legs were crushed," Kagome said and smiled. Sey smiled to her and nodded his head in thanks.

"Are you half-bird?" Kohuko broke in suddenly. Sey looked at the boy curiously. It was a very obvious answered question, but still why did that boy look so curious. It was almost like he knew something.

"Yes. I'm Sey, who are you?" He asked.

"Kohuko. My sister's Sango," He said and bowed his head. Sey nodded to him and then looked back to Inuyasha. Any friend of half demons is welcome here.

"I know you better than to think you found because you came for a visit. What did you need from us Inuyasha?" He asked. Inuyasha looked to him, hesitating to speak.

"Some took the jewel during a demon attack. They were a half-demon," Inuyasha told him. Sey perked up, interested and almost scared. He knew the Jewel was very powerful.

"It wasn't any of us…Kisa might be able to help you find the jewel though," He said, thinking hard about it. Inuyasha turned himself around and looked seriously at Sey. This was someone he's never heard about.

"You've never mentioned Kisa," He said. Sey stared at him, wondering what he should say and what he shouldn't.

"She used to be in charge here when me and Kanga were fist taken in. When Kanga was old enough , she became the apprentice to World Healer up North. The twins always want to see her so we try not to mention her too much," Sey told him. Inuyasha nodded his head in agreement through the whole thing.

"How would she help us?" Kagome asked.

"Her master has a gift of finding stolen things. She doesn't do it for free though. That's why you need Kisa to ask her for you," He told them very carefully.

"Why don't you go see her? Too far?" Inuyasha asked.

"It's a dangerous journey on foot, that's all. Not all of us can fly like me and the twins. It's still sort of bad in the sky though," Sey explained clearly.

"Where is she exactly though?" Inuyasha asked.

"Kanga has a map in her trunk," Sey responded immediately. Inuyasha was on his feet and gone the next moment. Sey shifted around to face everyone. "Tell me about this thief," He asked, looking like he was in a lot of pain as he moved.

"She was half-bird like you," Miruko started. Sey looked up. A half-bird girl…that was rare…

"And had silver hair and white wings," Kagome put in. Sey's attention snapped in place on Kagome's lips. Silver hair…white wings…

"How old was she?" He asked softly. Miruko and Kagome looked at each other.

"Fourteen maybe," Kagome answered unsurely, and then her attention snapped to him, "Do you know her?" Sey stared blankly at her, almost in shook. This was too specific to not be her.

"Sey?" Inuyasha said and touched his shoulder. He's never seen him like this. There was always a smile and an answer to all questions. He's only seen this when Kanga….whenever mentions Bird when they're alone.

"Are you okay?" Kagome asked and quickly reach forward to touch his forehead. There was no fever and he didn't seem to be in immerse pain.

"She's Bird, isn't she?" Inuyasha said, shaking him a little. Sey snapped out of it a little.

"She sounds like my sister….she was taken away from us five years ago," Sey chooks out and breathes in shakily. Inuyasha stared at him. He understood why he always helped Kanga keep Star out of danger and why he would send the two off to be together all the time. He had lost his sister who was about Star's age and didn't want to see the same happen to Kanga.

Maybe it already has though….
