And so Ozzy and Drix drove off in one of the police cruisers, leaving Khloe and Thrax to brawl behind them and to return when finished with their quarrel. As they both reached the now obliterated car –which Ozzy was bound to be upset about- Khloe couldn't help but notice a weird light glowing behind the wreck, a very familiar light at that.

"Oh god, it's that light again." Khloe groaned.

"Yeah baby, it's called a fire, it's burns people and gives 'em ouchies." Thrax cooed sarcastically, Khloe responded by rolling her eyes intensely and letting out a slightly more harassed groan.

"I know that, I meant the light behind the god-damned car! Jeez!"

"Oh... actually that is a pretty weird light, maybe somebody's snoopin'…" Thrax grinned, excited for another potential kill as he slipped silently behind the car, claw glowing and ready to strike.

"Uh, Red? I wouldn't if I were yo-" Khloe was cut off by a rather sharp and sudden yelp before everything became eerily silent, the only sound to be heard was the crackling and popping of the flames engulfing the car.

"Thrax? If yer tryin' to scare me it isnae gonna work, ya know," Khloe yelled as she tentively made her way behind the car, "Hello? Earth to dumbass, ye there?" She could feel her heart rise into her throat and adrenaline pump through her veins as she finally crawled her way around the car and saw...

...nothing. Not a soul in sight, no animals or signs of struggle. Considering that Thrax was a violent, murderous virus that was almost double Khloe's height and equipped with razor sharp claws, Khloe didn't consider it a good sign that he just vanished without putting up a fight. One thing she did find, however, was a metal spy glass. There was a small fire just next to it, causing the light to reflect off of the spy glass and roughly to where Thrax and Khloe saw it earlier. Khloe kicked around the ground for a bit to make sure it was cool before picking it up. It was engraved with beautiful, curled lines from top to bottom, with an occasional flower or leaf at the end of the lines. The whole thing was a spectacular golden colour, except the top and the eye piece which seemed to be made of rose-gold or a similar material. There was no monogram or sign of ownership on it, so it was near impossible to determine who the spy glass truly belonged to.

"Well, now I know what caused the light, but where the fuck did Thrax go?" Khloe murmured to herself, quickly scanning left and right for any sign of the Red Death. Nothing. Not a sound or single move was made as Khloe looked around.

"Great, he got away. Aint that just fuckin' peachy?" Khloe hissed before slumping down onto the ground in defeat. Osmosis and Drix were going to be so mad when they found out that she lost him all because she wanted to win a petty argument. But hey, at least she got a cool spy glass, right? As Khloe continued her inspection of the spy glass, she heard footsteps slowly dragging their way towards her. Whoever it was sounded hurt as they groaned with each step. At first Khloe pressed herself against a non-burning part of the car and made herself smaller to hide, but then she began to recognise who the groans belonged to.

'Thrax! He sounds pretty beat up... but then... it could just be a trap.' Khloe continued to hide before hearing Thrax's body slam onto the ground, presumably after collapsing.

'He's collapsed? Oh shit, I cannae just leave 'im here... but if it's a trap that might be exactly what he wants... Oh god, why oh fuckin' why do I have the bleedin' hearts of the world united in me?!'

Khloe rushed over to where she heard Thrax collapse. He was pretty badly beat up, with cuts and bruises all over, and from the looks of it, all of his claws had been snapped out of place. Khloe winced at the sorry sight Thrax had quickly become before she hurried to pick him up and drag him back where the police remained, still questioning and restraining the germs who weren't still shaken up by the surprise attack on the van commenced by Dekka. A handful of officers quickly carried Thrax to an ambulance, some raised a brow and others stared in horror as their gaze flicked back and forth between the big, scary, beaten up virus, bleeding from every angle and Khloe, the small, defenceless, delicate teen, clearly convinced that Khloe was the one who put Thrax in such a state. Khloe took the opportunity to grin mischievously at the group before winking and getting into one of the available police cruisers and laughing until her sides hurt. All was fun and games until Khloe started thinking about the situation.

So Thrax suddenly returns beaten and bloody with all of his digits broken, yet it only happened in a matter of moments. A really silent matter of moments. Who in the name of God's green Earth could someone beat the ever loving shit out of another person so quickly and silently without anybody noticing a damn thing? Where did they go afterwards? … Did they ever leave?

Khloe's heart stopped. She held her breath and slowly, with wide and terrified eyes, turned her head around. At first, everything was relatively calm and peaceful considering the situation. That changed faster than Khloe could even blink before the massacre began. A plethora of swarming, black tentacles impaled, shredded and asphyxiated any living thing in their path. The peaceful, green grass of the field was turned a horrific, deep blue with the blood of innocent officers. Many screamed and ran to escape in their cars, but very few got away. The source of the bloodshed stood laughing manically in the middle of the field, clearly proud of their work. It was clearly a virus, whom almost looked identical to Dekka, only the virus was clearly female. She continued to rip, slash and maul the officers before making her way to the ambulance where Thrax lay unconscious. The paramedic tried to get away but the virus simply impaled him like a shish kebab before dragging him out of the driver's seat. Khloe stared in horror, wanting to scream, wanting to run, to do something other than sit there and wait to die. But she couldn't. Khloe could only sit petrified as the virus inspected the vehicle before quickly leaving and scanning around, whatever they wanted was not to be found in the ambulance. Khloe quickly ducked underneath her seat as the virus did so before a smooth, female voice called out, louder than the screams of terrified cells yet somehow calm and collected at the same time. If they hadn't just carried out a full blown bloodbath, the voice might had made Khloe feel safe, instead it made goosebumps rise across Khloe's arm.

"Oh Khloe, sweetie. Where are you? I surely thought you would have rushed out to help little ol' Thraxie here, seeing as you're such a sweet and kind little girl. Come on out, wherever you are. I'm the one who dragged you down here, little miss," Khloe's eyes widened in response to the last sentence. Dragged her down here? What does she mean? "I have use of you, little human girl. Come out and I won't have to hurt anyone else." The voice cooed.

'How the fuck does she know I'm a human?! What does she want with me? Am I going to die? Is Thrax okay?'

Heavy sobs started to shake Khloe's shoulders. She had no idea what to do. She didn't want anyone to die, but at the same time, she herself didn't want to perish at the hands of a monster. It had all come full circle, Khloe was once again trying to escape a killer, but was she really going to get away this time? Khloe took a deep breath, wiped her eyes, and with a shaking hand she opened the car door and stood trembling for a moment, sobs still violently shaking her shoulders, before forcing her legs to move towards the virus.

'Nobody else is going to die, not if I can stop it. Please, good god, please, don't let anyone else die.'

"I-I'm right here! Stop killing t-t-them! I'm HERE!" Khloe screamed through her sobs, waving her arms to get the female virus' attention.

"Ah, there you are indeed. Oh no, are you crying, sweetie? We don't want that now, do we?" A black tentacle snaked its way over to Khloe before picking her up and wiping her face, presumably to get rid of the tears. Khloe continued to shake with fear and her breath grew shakier with every passing moment.

"I am so sorry, hunnie. I didn't want to kill anyone, but I was afraid you wouldn't come out unless I drew out that cute little hero instinct in you. There's no need to be scared, I won't hurt you," The virus drew Khloe closer, smiling gently and apologetically before pouting and tilting her head slightly, "I just need you for a little while, an itsy bitsy favour if you will,, then I'll gladly put you back where I found you. I'll even introduce myself, yeah? My name is Morsia, I'm a... distant... friend of Thrax. Now doesn't it feel slightly better now you know who I am?"

Khloe was too terrified to put up a fight or spit out a sassy response, she merely nodded her head. Morsia grinned before embracing Khloe in her arms as a mother would with her long lost child before delicately brushing some of Khloe's hair away from her face. "Come along now, Papa is going to be so happy to see you again." Before Khloe could question who 'Papa' was or what Morsia meant by 'again', Morsia quickly sprinted away to the distance, carrying Khloe with her and abandoning the growing pool of blood that the field had become.

((Oh boy, Khloe are you in one hell of a pickle. And oh boy, Thrax got fucked up. I wonder what Morsia meant by 'again', hm? Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. Be sure to review and follow if you did ^_^ 'Till the next chapter folks, cheerio!))
