**From this point I'm seriously changing the plot points of the TV show from season three. I'm sorry if this upsets readers but for the sake of my characters and the plot of my own story it needs to be done. ~doshielee**

The Grave Beginnings of a New Day

Lila was standing around the grave with her friends her mouth open in fear and awe. She looked around her arm was around Emily's waist helping her stay standing. Her stomach was turning with the implications of what she was seeing. In her mind Lila knew she had to call Jason, and soon before this got out to anyone else. Lia was afraid if she didn't call him very soon he'd find out from the cops. Spencer saw her friend going for her phone and stopped her with a hand on her wrist.

"What in god's name do you think you're doing Lila? You are not calling anyone, we need to get Emily out of here." Lila glared at Spencer and yanked her wrist away from her friend shaking her head. Lying to Jason was a line she wouldn't cross anymore. Not after he found out about A in the first place. They had been through way too much as a couple to mess things up by lying to him about something this big.

"I HAVE to call him. We need an alibi and he won't think Emily did this, he knows she would never ever do this. He knows none of us ever would. Keeping this from him would be a mistake, we have a friend in him, an ally in him and keeping this a secret that we knew about it would be a mistake." Lila looked around the group, Emily was to out of it to weigh in to the choice but the other girls didn't hesitate. Li let out a small sigh when Aria backed her up first.

"Spencer Lila is right. She can't keep this from Jason any more than we would be able to keep it from each other. Plus telling Jason will give us a good alibi, if he backs up whatever story we come up with than no one will really question it… Well except Wilden but he questions everything to do with us, any of us." Aria said and Hanna was nodding her head beside their friend. Spencer relented letting Lila walk off to call Jason. It was about that time that they all heard something from the woods and decided to get the hell out of there.

Going to Jason's they all got out of the car, he walked out and his arms went around Lila instantly. He was pissed for a few reasons, someone was messing with the girls again, and his sister's body was missing. His green eyes where dark with his anger and worry. Looking over at Emily he could tell she was drugged, he'd been there too many times not to know what it looked like when someone else was in that spot. But he was also sure that the athletic girl of the group was not doing this to herself.

"So you've decided to get out and go to the cabin, and I'm coming along for a good strong alibi?" Jason sighed softly kissing Lila's temple softly looking at Spencer. He wasn't stupid he could tell by the look on his sister's face she hadn't wanted Lil to tell him what had happened. Jason had a bag of Lila's stuff as well as one for all the other girls. They were all looking at him with weird looks on their faces.

"Lila told me you all needed your overnight bags from Spencer's house, the door was wide open so I grabbed them. All Spencer has to do is go leave the note and I'll drive us all up there." Jason said walking away to load up the car leaving the girls to talk amongst themselves. He was worried about Lila being back in town. Wilden had talked to him quite a few times that summer when she was gone about her, how well she kissed her body. Taking a deep breath he leaned on the hood of his car and waited.

It was hours later at the cabin when they were watching the news, two phones rang at once, Lila watched as Jason went to answer his and Spencer answered hers. Feeling cold Lila wrapped a blanket around her body not sure what to think about what was happening. She thought they were free of A when Mona went away to the loony bin. When she felt Jason pull her close she leaned into him closing her eyes. She had thought, hoped this had been over but Allison's grave getting dug up was clear proof they were all in for a year like the one before.

Spencer walked over and her eyes instantly went to her friend and her half-brother. She couldn't believe they were still together, oddly enough though every time she looked at them they looked even more in love with each other. At that moment Lila's eyes where closed and her head was laying on his chest and his hand was holding hers. For the longest time Spencer wasn't able to see why they were together but in that moment she saw it. Jason was looking at Lila thinking no one was looking at him, and the look on his face was inexplicable to her. When he looked up at her Spencer looked away.

"I think it's time to head back to town. Jason needs to go into the police station and lord knows the cops will want to question us. I need a hot shower, and some decent food because this cabin is not well stocked for short notice visitors." Lila said standing up and stretching. Her eyes fell on Spencer and the look on her friends face confused her. She was just looking from Jason to her and back like she was confused about something.

"Earth to Spencer, is everything okay up there in super genius land? Is there something not connecting?" Lila asked after the others had left to get ready to leave. Spence looked at her and then shook her head a little like she wouldn't understand, but Lil just crossed her arms and glared at her friend till she spoke.

"I don't get it Lila, out of all of the guys in Rosewood, why, why are you dating him. Why did you ever start dating Jason DiLaurentis?" Spencer looked at her friend like she was crazy. But to Spencer she was, Lia knew that and could even see why someone would feel that way when they saw someone like her dating someone like Jason.

"Spence, he gets me. He doesn't try, he isn't perfect he has demons and a past but so do I, and when he holds me that all goes away and all that I feel is him and his love for me." Lila said softly shrugging her shoulders a little her lilac colored eyes meeting Spencer's brown ones. "After everything that happened, my mom dying Liam killing himself my stepfather, I was lost scared and felt very alone. Jason saved me from that, saved me from myself really. I don't care if you get it Spencer, but stop questioning it out loud, stop giving him grief. I love him, and just like it was with Toby that should be enough for you to accept him." Lila turned around and brushed passed Hanna, Aria and Emily who had heard everything that went down. She was secretly glad that Jason was still in the back room packing her overnight bag for her.

Back in Rosewood Lila was glad she decided to ride with Jason and the other girls had chosen to ride with Spencer. Something told her the silent argument about her relationship with Jason was far from over in Spencer's mind, and it would get much worse before it got any better. She was out of the car and into the house before Jason could ask her what was wrong.

"Lia hold up." Emily called out jogging over from Spencer's house. Lila stood there and took a deep breath, she wasn't sure if the other girls had talked to Spencer or not, or whether they had decided she was the one that needed talking to.

"Listen, Spencer has been talking to me lately, about how she thinks you and Jason shouldn't be together. I'm not sure why she's so adamant on it now but she's really riding it. I asked Han and Aria and they both said she's been the same way with them." Emily leaned against one of the rails on the DiLaurentis porch and looked at her friend. Truthfully Lila didn't know how to respond to this, usually Spencer was very forward about her problems, head on and not at all sneaky like Alison had been.

"Listen, I don't know what to say, just know that whatever is up with Spencer this tension between her and I is more than likely going to get worse before it gets better. She won't talk to me without one of you around and she isn't responding to my texts or phone calls. I'm trying Em I really am, but you know how Spence can get sometimes." Lila was looking down at the ground and rubbing her eyes a little. It hurt that Spencer was deciding to do this now of all times. Emily hugged her before walking away and Lila went back inside the house.

So much happened in the following couple weeks that Lila had all she could handle trying to keep up with school. On a rare Saturday afternoon alone she was working on a classic 1971 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme that Jason had bought and wanted to rebuild. He was doing the body work and she was doing the engine work. Lila was greasy from head to toe as Spencer walked up, she remembered the first day that Alison had noticed Lia in school. Ali had tried her hardest to bully Lila but it didn't go over well. First because Lila wasn't the type to take shit from anyone, and second Liam wasn't fond of anyone hurting his sister and Ali had a huge crush on Liam.

"Spencer, are you going to talk to me or are you just going to stand there like a stalker?" Lila asked turning around her black tank top hid the grease that covered her upper half, but her light blue torn jeans showed just how greasy one could get rebuilding an engine. For the first time in years Lila's hair was all black, no neon colors streaking through it. Spencer noticed this made her friends oddly colored Lilac eyes stand out even more than they had before.

"Lila, I…" Spencer stopped for a moment and watched Lia clean her hands off in the hose before walking over to her. "I'm so sorry I've been such a bitch lately. The things I said about you and Jason the last couple of weeks were uncalled for and cruel. If you are happy with him, I truly wish you nothing but the best." Spencer stood there rather awkwardly as she was never good at apologizing. Usually when she thought she was right Spencer never let something go but the other three Liars had shown her how much of a witch she had been lately to Lila.

Lila stood there for a few minutes debating whether or not she truly felt like accepting that apology. The words 'child molester' and other such monstrous accusations had fell from her friends lips in regards to the man she loved the last few weeks. Of course Lia had never told Jason the horrid things Spence had said and implied, mainly because it would crush him as he wanted nothing more than to have a good relationship with his living sister. Taking a deep breath she could see the sorrow and regret in her friends eyes.

"Spence, thank you for apologizing but I'm not going to lie, it's going to take more than words to get us back to a good place." Lila walked over and hugged her friend in spite of her words. She knew Spencer understood the damage was done and now all they could do was damage control. Lia wasn't sure she'd ever fully trust this friend with her relationship with Jason again and after the past couple of weeks was glad Aria had been the only one to know what was going on back then.

"You aren't coloring your hair anymore… It makes your eyes really pop." Spencer said as they sat down next to each other on the steps of Lila and Jason's house. Lila smiled a little as Spencer took her hand and she squeezed it softly letting her head lean on her friends.

"I've missed you Hastings, try not to freak out on me again. Yeah, I stopped coloring my hair for a while. Just don't have time to keep it up plus I kind of feel like I've out grown it for the most part. I'm different now, after everything and I think I need to let those changes show. Liam always said that I was good at that, at showing when I was moving on from a portion of my life." Lia shrugged a little then shook her head a little as Spencer got up to her feet.

"I've got to get back home. My mom has been very, controlling lately and I don't want to risk having no Toby Time." They hugged once more and then Lila watched her friend rush back home. Slowly she moved picking up all the stuff strewn across the drive way and put it all in the shed that was at one time a dark room.

Lila was just getting out of the shower later that night when she heard a knock on the door. She waited a tiny bit before realizing that Jason had gone out to get them food. Throwing on one of his t-shirts and a pair of shorts then rushed to the door only to find Wilden standing on her porch smiling that creepy creeper smile of his.

"Detective…" Lila stepped outside and had one hand in her back pocket pressing the 1 on her cell phone to speed dial Jason. She knew he'd answer and hear the whole conversation that was about to take place.

"Lila, you look like you just got out of the shower." Wilden said stepping closer and brushing some of the wet curly black hair out of the girls face. As soon as he stepped closer though Lila side stepped putting distance between them once again. Something about how Wilden had been acting lately made her more scared than she normally would have been in this situation.

Wilden watched Lila side step his advance and smiled to himself a little. She was smart, most everyone in town thought she was some kind of drug addicted Kurt Cobain poser but he could see the gears turning in her head as he watched her. It was amusing for him to see her trying to find a way out. Little did he know that Jason was listening to every word said thanks to her thinking on her toes.

"You seem a little tense, I can help you release some of that tension." Wilden said stepping closer once again. Before she could react he made his move kissing her and pulling her close. Darren had one arm around her midsection and his other hand was grabbing her ass as he kissed her forcing her against the wall of the house. He didn't feel the phone because he'd let his hand slip into her pants to feel her bare skin.

Lila couldn't scream, she struggled as much as she could but she wasn't as athletic as Spencer or Emily. Her whole body shuddered in disgust as his tongue slipped into her mouth. She bit down hard and he grunted removing the arm around her midsection and smacking her head against the outer wall of the house. Lia wasn't sure what happened next but someone had Wilden tackled off of her and she fell to the ground for a moment. Looking up her eyes went wide as she saw something that was completely impossible.

Sitting in the shadows watching Lila, protecting her was what life had been about for the last few months. Summer had been rather easy, following her from venue to venue watching her shows. Coming back to Rosewood was dangerous for many reasons but the sense of Lia in danger had be nagging for some time. It was lucky that Wilden came when he did, otherwise Lila wouldn't have had anyone to protect her. It was when Wilden went for her that all sanity was lost and the person in the shadows jumped him.

At first Lia had thought it was Jason, but then she realized that she hadn't heard a car pull up. That's when she looked up and her eyes saw black hair and light lilac eyes like her own staring back at her. Her heart fell through her chest as he threw one last punch to the man who'd attacked her, the police officer who had attacked her. Lila's mind was rebelling, she was starting to convince herself she was hallucinating when he spoke.

"Come on we have to get you in the house Lili." Standing up the guy who was much taller than Lila walked over to her and picked her up getting her into the house and to relative safty. He knew Jason would be home soon, and he figured hiding in the shadows was over now.

"Liam…" Lila's hand reached out to touch him and when her fingers touched his cheek she fainted dead away. Liam caught her and took her over to the couch laying her down. Jason knew what he looked like, so did everyone in town. Staying under the radar looking as much like his twin sister as he did had been no easy task. But he'd had to when he heard she was being stalked by some crazy fucker bent on ruining her life. Liam knew he had so much to explain and only hoped his twin didn't hate him forever for the pain he'd put her through.
