Lesson 7: Should I Stop?

"Are you aware that your son wishes to become a bad boy, Mrs. Williams?" Lovina returned the questioning look.

Okay, let us return to the beginning:

Riiiiiing! Riiiiiing! Riiiiiiiing!

Lovina wanted to grab the alarm clock and chuck it out the window. She grunted loudly as she stood from the bed and disconnected the alarm clock.

Dragging her feet to the bathroom, she yawned and rubbed her eyes. She should stop trying to make Matthew rude and cruel, he was sweet and she preferred him that way.

Lovina always woke up at six in the morning to jog around her neighbourhood at least twice before doing anything else. She liked to keep in shape, but she loved sleeping more. Of which made it a huge hassle to get out of the bed every morning.

On this particular Saturday morning, she had circled the neighbourhood seven times before she slowed sown. Why had she jogged so much? Let me explain to you.

Lovina was caught in a battle between money and morality. Not just money on that side, but many benefits... Yet was that the way to go? She had begun contemplating the pros and cons of both sides; teaching Matthew and stopping the lessons.

She had everything she ever wanted, so why need more money? There was no point in making Matthew go out with Feli, or making money, or anything else; so it was better not to give Matthew lessons. Plus, how she had said before, it was a waste of the person he was. There were many things that she wished he would keep. In addition, the only benefit was that Matthew had become more outgoing than he originally was. It was truly better to have an outgoing Matthew because then he could be noticed and everyone would be able to boast in his kindness, as weird as that sounds. Yet it was good for him to be interactive because he would get release from many problems he could possibly be facing.

Come to think of it, was he facing any problems? For all she knew, he could have been in depression or possibly family problems... Had people been bullying him and that was the reason to why he had wanted to become a bad boy? Was he already harmed before? What if his mother had died? Another realization hit Lovina; she did not know anything about Matthew at all. Oh god, for all she knew, he could be some sort of murderer! Okay, not that bad, but he could be hiding something sinister, right? That was a possibility, but it didn't seem like a realistic one either.

Feeling the wind caress her face and the sun kiss her skin, she felt at peace but still rather corrupted. How was she going about this now? Was she going to stop? It was best to, correct?

There was only one way to go about this problem and Lovina knew exactly what it was.

Calling up Matthew, she had demanded to meet his parents; of which only turned out to be his mother because his father was "at work" in god knows where.

"Hello Miss Williams, my name is Lovina Vargas and I am your son's friend slash coach. There are many things I would like to discuss with you." Lovina stood in the doorstep of Matthew's house, although Mathews had told her not to visit on the Saturday for he and his father were not at home. Yet that was the entire reason Lovina wanted to visit; speak to one of his parents in private, preferably his mother, thus meaning this was the perfect opportunity and she would not let it slip out of her grasp. That was not an option.

"I'm sorry to say, but my son is not home at the moment." Mrs. Williams tilted her blind head to the right.

"That was why I came. I needed to speak to you privately about your son. And it is preferred that this little -conversation, if you may- be kept between us ladies alone." Lovina smirked slightly. She was surprised at herself for sounding so educated.

"Uh... Yes, of course. Come in, make yourself at home." She nodded.

Lovina stepped in and immediately was struck with the scent of pine and maple wood. It was actually quite relaxing and nice. It made her feel happy and joyful, it made her feel like she wanted to make everyone smile. Maybe that's what made Matthew so nice, could be.

The house was decorated with natural colours and gave off an earthy vibe, which made it feel sweet. There was mostly wood furniture and natural objects taking place as centrepieces. Candles were lit here and there to bring a dash a warm colour to rooms, flooding them with gorgeous light as well.

She was led to the living room and she could tell that Matthew's house was no match for the size of hers. This house was significantly smaller, but that's high class commoners for you.

Mrs Williams set her down on the couch and went to prepare some coffee for them, this was when Lovina had decided to take a look around. She stood from the couch and walked towards the limestone chimney. There were picture frames set on the mantle and a couple of trophies.

There was a picture showing a young Matthew with a little girl next to him. Actually, in every picture, Matthew was accompanied by the girl. The weird thing was that Lovina didn't recognize her... But she seemed rather familiar. Her hair was wavy and reached up to a bit above her shoulders, with a gravity defying curl or something sticking out of her hair, while her eyes were like blue cornflowers. Her skin seemed flawless and her smile was outgoing. It seemed like she was somewhat the opposite of Matthew.

"So how do you know Matthew?" Miss Williams interrupted Lovina.

She turned around to meet Matthew's mother and blushed. "I'm sorry, I just got-"

"Don't worry about it." Miss Williams immediately understood why Lovina was apologizing.

"Matthew and I share a class and lunch. We sit next to each other on our first period." Lovina stated.

"Oh, is my son a good student?" She offered the coffee.

"Yes of course, he's really good." Lovina took the mug in her hand.

"That's good..." Miss Williams nodded.

"Who's the girl in the pictures with Matthew?" Lovina decided to ask. She wasn't sure if Matthew's would stand for her forwardness.

"Amelia Jones, Matthew's best friend. She's very obnoxious and loud, but still quite nice. She protected Matthew against his bullies."

"Is she still alive?"

"Ah, yes? Why would she not be? She moved during summer and Matthew has been strange ever since. Your mentioned you're his coach? Coach of what?" She raised a blond eyebrow in inquiry.

"Are you aware that your son wishes to become a bad boy, Mrs. Williams?" Lovina returned the questioning look.

Mrs Williams looked confused at first but her expression changed into rather shocked.

"What do you mean?" Her brows furrowed and her smile turned into a frown.

"I'm giving him lessons on how to become a 'bad boy' therefore, I'm telling him to be a bad kid. Yet he only wants to get noticed and that's how he thinks of doing it..."

"But-"

"I understand you might detest the idea, but his grades aren't dropping at all, so it is not really affecting him other than him starting to be a jerk, but he still hasn't gotten that far yet. So I don't really know why I'm here to begin with..." Lovina went on. "Plus, why am I talking to you about private matters that Matthew is not telling you for a reason, I don't even know why I'm taking anymore. I might even be crazy. Oh my, what am I doing here, asking you about Amelia? I'm acting like an over protective girlfriend, although Matt's not even my boyfriend. Why am I still talk-"

"Lovina, calm down. Drink some coffee and sit next to me. I can tell you're nervous." Mrs Williams sighed, patting the seat next to her.

Lovina shut her mouth and sat next to her. Her knees shook nervously and she looked down without drinking a sip of her coffee.

"My son does like Amelia and I've noticed ever since they were children. And I can tell he finds you like a dear friend because he's always talking about you and another girl named Annemarie. But apparently you already have a boyfriend. Is he not a Spaniard? I think you should not be coming to other boys houses when you already have a boyfriend..."

Lovina blushed deeply at the mention of Matthew talking about her and Antonio, but brushed it off when she focused on Annemarie. "Antonio and I are not dating, he's a stupid tomato bastard and a good friend of mine but nothing else. As for Annemarie... Ugh!" She couldn't even continue, and it was best not to say a single word about her.

"Oh, then why is it that you are blushing?" Mrs Williams pressured.

"I will not tolerate this idiocy. If you do not believe what I am telling you, then I don't care because I really could give a piece of shit of what others think."

"Oh but of course you would not care."

"Would you like me to stop giving your son lessons? That is all I came here to do." Lovina rolled her eyes.

"Whatever Matthew would like." His mother sighed and stood. "My son cares about you, but you are not that good of an influence, I would like you to stop talking to him, but my son decides."

"I'm no worse than Annemarie!" Lovina stomped her foot.

"How is that?" The blond tilted her head.

"I haven't offered your child a cigarette!" Lovina yelled without thinking, but quickly regretted her action. Her hazel orbs widened and her mouth closed shut.

"Pardon me? Annemarie did what?"

"Sorry not Annemarie, I meant... I meant Allistor, it's just they were next to each other at the time, but Annemarie had told Matthew not to, and I dragged him away."

"Allistor? But why would he do that? I am aware that he smokes but... Offering his cousin a cigarette? He thinks of him as a little brother, why would he do such a thing?"

'Oh Lovina, now you're in horse shit!' She scolded herself in her mind. 'They were cousins and Allistor wasn't even that bad! You should have not said a single damn thing! Now look at what you've done!' Now she needed to go talk to Allistor and ask him to play along... But would he?

"Oh my, look at the time, I've got to go. Thank you for having me, and sorry for the trouble." Lovina bowed and rushed out of the house before Mrs Williams could say a single word.

Lovina got on her bike and hurried home.

Upon arriving at her mansion, she barged in and hurried up the stairs and into her room.

"Damn! Damn! Damn! Fuck! Fuck! Ughh!" She grunted as she walked around her room.

This was not happening, oh no! Okay, okay, she really needed to calm down because her head was clouded and she didn't like it at all. She needed to sit down and think about everything before making another asshole move.

Let us begin her little argument:

"Should I stop?" She sighed at the ceiling. Somehow hoping the answer would come from the heavens.

After talking to Allistor, he had agreed to play along, so that was good.

Come to think of it, she had felt a little queasy when she learned about Amelia... And she was quite over protective about Matt when he was with Annemarie. Plus she was starting to have second thoughts on making Matthew date her sister. Was she starting to have a special feeling towards Matthew? Oh dear, hopefully not! She wasn't ready for boys. Oh god no. She wasn't ready at all.

Did you guys like it? I know it's getting complicated but just bear with me, I'm sure it'll unravel well... so please cope with the jumping-ness of this fic... hopefully I'm catching everyone's correctly. Oh and Matthew's mother is no one, so don't worry about her. Either way, please Review and Favourite, it becomes my motivation, so please? Thank you.

Have an amazing day and I really hope you liked it!
