A/N – And here is the rest of the meeting in Aro's study. Hopefully this will answer some questions you might have, but I'm sure there will be a few new ones to take their place. Oh well. Ok guys, do what you do best…read, enjoy and review!

Disclaimer…same shtick as before…not my sandbox, well, it is my sandbox, I just borrowed some toys to play with…

What you do on your own time's just fine.

My imagination's much worse, I just never want to know.

What meant the world imploded, faded and demoted

All my oxygen to product gas and suffocated my last chance

You said, between your smiles and regrets: "Don't say it's over."

Dead and gone. Dead and gone.

Calm before the storm set it off, and the sun burnt out tonight.

A reception less than warm set it off, and the sun burnt out tonight.

Jasper – Why the hell is Assward still alive?

Aro – I believe my daughter is the cause for that.

Bella – There are still more things we need to learn and I'm still undecided about his punishment.

Jasper – Are those the only reasons?

Aro – Major, I believe you are stepping into dangerous territory there.

Bella – I would listen to him, Major. You know me well enough to know my thoughts on him.

Jasper – I apologize. How about we move this along so we can finally get our alone time?

Aro – Please, this is something that I do not need to be privee to regarding my daughter.

Bella – Alright, let's finish this and put my father out of his misery.

"Jasper." I placed my free hand on his cheek. "Remember, that didn't happen. I don't know how he came up with the idea, but it seemed he was the threat, not us. Everything that I have seen since I did my soul searching shows that being with or around Edward was always going to lead to either my death or becoming a vampire that he hated. Let's get through this, cowboy, and then we can go talk about all of this."

I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Somewhere in my brain I acknowledged that it never happened, but still seeing Edward kill my mate had me furious. Tightening my hold on her, I again buried my face in her neck, taking in her scent and trying to calm myself down. I needed for this to be over as I needed to find a quiet place to just hold Bella in my arms to assure my beast that she was truly safe.

"Jasper?"

I leaned back and looked into her worried eyes. "I'm fine. Let's just get this over with."

Aro stood to the side with his hand still on her arm watching us closely. He nodded at me as I felt his own anger towards the worthless piece of shit in front of us. "Let us continue."

Bella turned back to face Edward and placed her other hand back on his temple. "Now that we are passed what didn't happen, let us move on to what had you planned. Edward, do you feel like sharing with the class what you planned for me? How your love for me was all an act, your reasoning for leaving me and taking the family with you? How you planned my capture and then rescuing me with hopes I would still love you? "

As she spoke, I caught glimpses of his thoughts that he kept trying to block from us. At one point I caught an image of Victoria but that couldn't be correct.

"Daughter, would you please make him stick with one thought and complete it? These flickering images are rather irritating." Aro said, looking his normal bored self although his emotions were telling a completely different story. His anger at Edward's thoughts was almost as much as my own.

"Of course, father." Bella smiled at Aro before turning to stare at Edward. "I really did hope that you would just be honest with me. Causing you pain to get the truth was not in my plans."

I grimaced as I felt his anger and then pain as Bella forced him to tell or show us the truth. Making sure I was touching her skin, I closed my eyes to shut out everything but what he was showing us in his mind. I wasn't sure that I wanted to know what he had planned for my mate, but I needed to know so that if any of his plans could still happen that I would be prepared for him. We watched as his memories settled around the questions Bella had asked just moments before. As they began to unfold, I was grateful for my hold on Bella otherwise Edward would be in pieces.

Edward was standing in the garage in Forks watching as Alice and I drove away with Bella heading to Phoenix to hide Bella from James. A faint smile graced my lips as I recalled that was where I finally started to acknowledge that there was something between Bella and I. Edward quickly gave everyone their orders to help throw James off by running around in Bella's clothes to spread her scent in the woods, away from where Alice and I were taking her.

We all thought that Edward had teamed up with someone to lead James away when in actuality he took off by himself. Following his thoughts, he ran straight to where James and Victoria were waiting for him. He told James where to find Bella and sent Victoria to the school to get her address in Phoenix. About ten minutes after they had left, he sent a text to everyone saying that James had caught on to what they were doing and was following Bella's actual scent out of town. From there the family made their way to Phoenix after us.

His memories sped through what actually happened with him saving Bella and then us destroying James, which truly did make Edward happy. He had focused on Bella as she was feeling the burn of James' venom and thought that it was too soon and if she was going to change it would be his venom that did it. Putting on an act that I should have caught on to, he proceeded to be overly dramatic about sucking the venom out of her blood. He remembered almost losing control as her blood did taste phenomenal to him.

After we returned to Forks, he met up with Victoria while he was out hunting and told her that she could get her revenge for James' death and he would help her, she just needed to be patient. His thoughts kept cycling through what he could do to get the family to justifiably believe that leaving her behind would be for the best. Nothing seemed to work until he lucked out at Bella's birthday party. He knew what would happen if she cut herself in front of the family with me being there so he kept me busy helping set everything up so I couldn't hunt before she arrived.

As she opened the envelope with Carlisle and Esme's gift his memory showed him shifting slightly, just enough to move Bella enough to cause her to cut her finger on the paper. Edward glared as he remembered me holding my breath so he focused on the smell of her blood and projected his bloodlust at me. As I growled he used that as an excuse to throw her backwards into the glass table causing her more pain. The added blood in the air caused everyone to react and Edward smirked as he protected his pet.

He came up with his plan to dump Bella, painfully, and force the family to leave for her safety. Once everyone was away, he put on the act of being heartbroken over leaving his supposed mate behind and then left to be alone in his misery. He set out to meet up with Victoria and told her what he needed from her so that she could exact some pain on Bella before he came to her rescue. It was set to happen a few years after we left her behind. Once he saved her he was planning to win her back and change her. After her newborn year he planned on getting her to attack the Volturi with the secret help of Victoria.

Aro growled, pulling us all from Edward's mind. "You planned to use my daughter against me? How dare you think that you would be able to get away with that? I should destroy you now."

Edward flinched away from Aro's anger and his thoughts. He sagged as Bella let go of his head. It seemed like he was finally starting to grasp the severity of his situation.

I looked to Bella as I felt her emotions leak through her shield. She wasn't shocked by what we learned so she must have seen it earlier. She was furious though and I could see her holding herself in place to keep from lashing out at Edward.

"I didn't know."

We all looked at Edward, but I was the one who spoke. "Didn't know what?"

He looked at me and then at Aro. "I didn't know she was Aro's daughter."

Aro growled. "And you think that makes a difference? I should let you off with no recourse all because you didn't know she was my daughter? Well, I beg to differ. Whether you knew or not is beyond the point. You deserve to be dismembered and tortured at the very least. I think I will see to it personally."

Bella growled low as Aro stepped forward. "You promised me and I will not allow you to break your promise to me, Aro. He is mine to punish as I was the one he hurt and cast aside. If anyone else deserves a chance to help it would be Jasper. If it weren't for the shit Edward pulled, Jasper would not have spent the past ten years looking for me. So no, Aro, you do not get to tear him apart. At least not until Jasper and I are done with him."

Edward looked at Aro before turning his eyes back to Bella. "You should know that he is thinking about doing it anyway. I told you he was vicious and couldn't be trusted. I bet he isn't really your father, just using it as a means to get your gift. I love you and would never…"

Bella's roar cut him off. She lunged for him, hitting him square in the face and laughed as the cracks appeared. Before I could grab her she had a hold of his arms and had them both ripped from his body. "You forget, I can read all thoughts like my father. I think I would know if he was just using me."

I pulled her back against me a safe distance from Edward, not for his safety, but so she didn't end things too quickly. Anchoring her to me with an arm around her waist, I pulled his arms from her hands and tossed them to Felix just as Aro's door was flung open.

Aro growled at the intruders, needing to take his anger out on someone since he was being denied the right to punish Edward. "What the hell is the meaning of this?"

The whole Cullen coven filed in through the door quickly followed by Jane who promptly moved to stand between Aro and Bella.

"I'm sorry, master, but I couldn't keep them in the throne room. They had seen Edward being dragged in here and I delayed them as long as possible." Jane bowed her head.

"What is the meaning of this?" Carlisle interrupted before Aro could speak. "Why is Edward in here and why is Felix holding his arms?"

I felt the anger emanating from the Cullens and placed myself in front of my mate. "He deserves far more than just having his arms removed, Carlisle. He caused a lot of harm to Bella and when he accused Aro of using her, she retaliated."

"What do you mean? Edward wouldn't say anything against Aro, he knows better."

"ENOUGH!" Aro shouted. "What I do in my office in regards to what happened to my daughter is none of your concern. As of this moment he will be housed in the dungeons and he will be lucky if I allow Felix to give him his arms back."

"But Aro, I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding." Carlisle started taking a step towards his first son. Esme pulled him back as Bella growled at him from her place next to me. Turning to her he tried to gain his son's freedom. "Bella, please, you loved him once. Don't leave him like this. He doesn't deserve it."

"Oh hell." Demitri and Felix muttered at the same time Carlisle hit his knees.

"If you dare to stand up for him even knowing how selfish he is and how he treated me then I believe I may be going too easy on you, Carlisle." Bella smirked as Carlisle grabbed his head in pain. "Maybe I should rethink your punishment for blindly following the lead of the vampire that you sired, the same one that you should be leading not lead by."

"I agree, Isabella." Aro smiled as he clapped his hands together causing me to roll my eyes. "You, Carlisle, and your coven are restricted to the castle until further notice. You are of course welcome to dine with us or if you think you can persuade someone to bring you back your bunnies, then I guess I might allow that. Although, forcing you to eat as normal vampires do might just be a very fitting punishment. What do you think daughter?"

I looked down into her face and watched as she thought over the ramifications of such a punishment. Seeing the indecision on her face, I leaned down to whisper in her ear. "I think it's fitting for Carlisle and maybe Esme and Alice. Rose and Emmett don't deserve that. They were the only ones that had my back before I left them."

"Thank you, cowboy." Bella turned to look up into my eyes and I smiled as I saw the love shining there. "Jasper made a good point, father. That punishment will work for all but Emmett and Rosalie. Emmett never wanted to leave me and they both supported my mate in his attempts to check on me. I believe they are the only two that should go without any form of punishment."

"I will consider it, Isabella." Aro continued to glare at his old friend. "I am disappointed in you Carlisle. First you break our most important rule by allowing your son to allow a human to learn of our existence and then you leave her behind, still human, fully aware of what we are and no protection. Did you know that those pups there in Forks had to protect her from one of the nomads? If they hadn't shown up when they did, Laurent I believe his name was would have ended my daughter's life. Those same pups also made sure that Victoria was unable to get to her before Demitri brought her to her true home."

"We were not aware that she was in any danger." Carlisle responded, finally getting back to his feet. "Bella knows that we would not have left her if we knew she was in danger."

"I know no such thing." Bella spat, her anger rising by the second. "Apparently my joy at seeing my 'family' again blinded me to all of the pain and hurt that you caused. Were you aware at all of the hell that Edward and Alice put me through? The hell they put Jasper through? Maybe Aro is right after all."

"Right about what, Isa?" That got my attention. I smiled as I felt the shiver travel through her as I said the name I seemed to have chosen for her. Mostly for that reaction.

"Aro and I had numerous talks about the Cullens before I was turned. We debated the merit of drinking human blood versus animal blood. I started arguing on Carlisle's behalf as at the time I agreed with him. Aro made the point that deviating from our natural food source could have unexpected side effects. Apparently going soft and not paying any attention to the shit going on around them is just the tip of the ice burg. Makes me glad I decided to follow in my family's choice."

I caught the smug expression as it flitted across Aro's face just as I registered the hurt flow from Carlisle. I guess he really had lived a sheltered life. I looked to Aro and was about to ask him to wrap this up when Carlisle spoke up.

"I'm sorry to hear that I have lost your trust, Bella. I had hoped that you had followed our way of feeding even being a part of the Volturi, but I see that hope was in vain." He sighed as he fought the sorrow he was feeling. "Did you even give our way a try at least?"

"No, Carlisle, I didn't. I saw no point once I learned to hunt on my own." Bella snorted as she tucked herself more firmly into my side. "Things have changed around here from your time. It seems being the 'daughter' of a cop helped me to accept taking a human's life, as long as they deserved it. I taught Heidi what to look for so now she only brings back those on death row or those who should be."

"What gives you the right to be judge and jury?" Carlisle was close to falling apart as he listened to Bella, feelings of failure were emanating from him in waves.

"I am at the top of the food chain, Carlisle. That is what gives me the right. I don't hurt the innocent, but I have been known to save them. Just like in the states, the less people in jail the less the people here pay in taxes." Bella smiled as she glanced at the man she once thought of as a father. "I am helping out my people by allowing them to keep more money in their pockets."

"Well aren't you just the modern day Robin Hood." Esme snapped as she held onto her mate. "You are not the same Bella that I thought of as my daughter."

Bella laughed through the pain of rejection. "You are right, Esme. I've been forced to grow up and change thanks to my supposed family leaving me. You aren't the same people I thought you were either. At least when I call someone family I won't leave them behind."

"Isn't that what you did though, Bella?" Esme asked, anger and sorrow playing across her features. "Didn't you leave Charlie behind? What about Renee and Phil?"

Those were good questions although I didn't take too kindly to Esme's tone. "Esme, Bella left thinking she was protecting her family. You need to think before you accuse her of something that you stand accused of at a worse degree."

"Jasper, how can you stand there and defend her? She left her human family behind and joined the Volturi willingly. She willingly chose to be a human drinker." Carlisle came to Esme's defense. "Bella is living the life that we all strived so hard to stay away from."

I growled at him. "Be careful how you speak, Carlisle. I remember how I was treated once Edward convinced everyone to leave Bella behind. I know how two faced you can be. I will not stand here and listen to you berate my mate like that."

Edward whimpered from his position in front of Felix and Alec, drawing our attention back to him. Anger, fear and sorrow were flowing from him in waves as the venom leaked from his shoulders where his arms should be.

Aro sighed. "I think we have had enough of this drama for today. Felix, take our guest and make him comfortable in his very own private cell. If he gives you any trouble, don't give him his arms back."

"Yes, master." Felix said as the lifted Edward to his feet and led him from the room.

"Now for you, Carlisle." Aro moved to stand in front of his old friend. "I believe you have irritated my daughter and her mate enough for today. Jane will escort you and your mate back to your room where Alice will be joining you. From there you will learn if I decide to allow you to follow your current diet or not."

"But Aro, please reconsider. We had no way of knowing what Alice and Edward were doing to Bella." Carlisle pleaded. "Once we left Forks there was no way to know she was in danger."

I stepped up next to Aro and barely kept my hands to myself. "You had Alice and she could have easily looked in on Bella to make sure she was safe. You all live and breathe based on her visions and yet you never once thought to check in on Bella. I personally think she is better off not having you around."

"Jasper, I'm surprised with you." Esme said. "I thought we had taught you better than that. Edward didn't want us around her and as she is his mate, it was his decision."

I lost it. With a snarl I lunged forward and would have ripped her to pieces if I wouldn't have hit an invisible wall. With a growl I whirled around only to come face to face with Bella who was glaring at me.

"You take one more step towards her, Major, and I will put you in your own personal cell."

At first I was shocked at the audacity of her threatening me. She couldn't do anything to me and it was my place to retaliate when I'm being attacked. I was just about to make my move when my thoughts cleared and I realized what I was doing. Forcing my stance to relax I looked my mate in her eyes and sent her my curiosity.

"If you would have attacked her, Major, you would have regretted it." Bella said as she stepped closer to me. "Do not let them get to you."

I nodded and felt her drop her shield as Carlisle's and Esme's emotions flooded into me again. Looking around, I noticed that Emmett and Rosalie weren't here and was unsure of when they had left. I was going to turn to ask Aro when I felt a flare of anger from behind me and I turned in time to see Edward launch himself at me from the doorway.

Bella snarled and jumped in front of me, ready to take Edward on again. Right before he was on her she threw up her hands and he was suspended in air about a foot off the ground. Her hands started to fist and Edward grimaced as the shield wrapped itself tightly around him. With a growl she threw him into a wall and snarled as she let him loose as soon as Felix was close enough to grab him.

Felix wrapped his arms around Edward and hauled him to his feet. With a quick tipping of his head, he left the study followed by Alec who was carrying Edward's arms.

Dropping her hands, she turned to growl at Esme. "If you take anything away from this little meeting that you barged in on then let it be this. I am not now nor was I EVER the mate of that insipid self-centered prick of a son you two are raising. I was an interesting pet to him and nothing else. You, Esme, were a mother to me, but you proved your loyalty when you let Edward tell you what to do as well as sticking up for him today. I guess I never really mattered to you."

"Bella, I…" Esme was cut off as Bella snarled and darted out of the room, nearly knocking Peter over in her haste to get away.

"Ok." Peter snarled as he stepped into Aro's study. "Who the hell do I get to beat up for pissing off my sister?"

I made a move to follow my mate, but Aro placed his hand on my shoulder, stopping me.

"Let her be, Major. I have found that when she gets that mad, you let her take it out on Felix and then she can be reasonably dealt with. Until then you take your own existence in jeopardy."

I nodded as I could still feel the anger and frustration that she had let leak out of her shield before she stormed out the door. "Captain, I believe you and I need to have a little chat so let's leave the ass kicking to Aro for now. I'm sure these two will be pissing off my mate many more times before they learn."

Peter nodded and stepped back out of the room to wait for me in the office, mumbling about Isa and beating her ass later for the ass kicking he was about to receive.

"If you will excuse me, Aro, I seem to need to have a word with my captain before I tend to Isa." I nodded at him before heading for the door. Pausing, I threw one last comment over my shoulder. "I would count myself lucky if I were you, Carlisle. If it were up to me you wouldn't be getting just a slap on the wrist for what you did to my mate. I would stay away from her."

Silence reigned in Aro's study as they watched me leave. I know I was being very hard on them, but I couldn't get passed all of the anger and unworthiness that Isa had been feeling before she ran out of the room. Turning to Peter, I kept my face cool and collected as I waited for him to speak.

"We might as well follow Isa to the training room." He sighed as he started walking down the corridor. "I'm betting you will need plenty of room to kick my ass."

A/N – And the shit hath hit the fan…eth. Again. Or maybe it's the body parts that are hitting the fan. Either way, the tension is up and now Bella is furious with Carlisle and Esme. When will the Cullens learn how to deal with her the right way? I hope Peter is ready to deal with Jasper and has a good explanation for everything that has happened. He is a smooth talker so I would hazard a guess he will be fine. Enough of my rambling, you guys do what you do best and review. I need to know you guys are still with me and what you are thinking. Till next time…..

Don't forget there is the FB page for updates and discussions. Just search for Bella & Jasper – Love Under a Blood Moon and you should be able to find it easily. It will be the hub for all Twilight fanfic discussions as I have Darkness as well as one shots that are in the works. If you aren't reading Darkness…I highly recommend it, lol, but I may be a bit biased.
