Hi, sorry for not updating for a while. Alright, the woman in this chapter is not an OC and is only in it for this chapter. It was suggested by a lovely and avid reader who's name alludes me at this moment. If you recognise the story line and you know you told me to add this review and you name will be put here!
Enjoy :)
James and Alex had spent the whole trip to America reading up on their files so that they knew their new personalities back to front. Many would have thought them as a close father and son pair out on a trip. Both were good at hiding their true feelings of boredom of the others company and James kept flirting with the air hostesses. For some reason, whenever James or Alex asked for something, one of the women would answer the call instead of one of the two male air hosts. Strange that, thought Alex sarcastically.
Apparently they were going to America to catch a private plane to a secluded island. The plane was under James' false name. The plane landed early so the pair headed over to the club lounge and relaxed near the bar. There was a beautiful woman in a simple red dress that ends just before the knees. Her silky brown hair was flowing freely down her black cardigan. Alex had his back to her at first since she was standing at the bar and he was facing away. The only reason he sought to look at her was the fact that James wasn't even remotely interested in the false football match he was talking about being in. He didn't even put on a fake face suggesting that he even heard a word being said. So, Alex decided to see what was so distracting. When he spotted the cause he almost choked on his orange juice. James didn't seem to notice, by this point he was already half way to the bar. The woman turned around slightly at the noise of spluttering and saw James walking towards her looking uninterested but to the trained eye you could see here wasn't. She then saw Alex and was about to acknowledge him as he regained his composure. Alex instantly shook his head with a grin forming on his face. she made no move of any kind which might suggest knowing him. James had reached the bar.
"What's a lovely lady like you doing here all alone and not even a drink to accompany you?" James asked innocently facing straight ahead of him Only looking at the woman out of the side of his eye. The woman looked out of the side of her eye and saw Alex rolling his hands over each other in a way universally recognised as 'go along with it'.
"Well," she replied in a strong American accent, "I was hoping to meet someone here but it appears I have been let down."
Her attention was now fully on James.
"Can I make up for lost company?" James asked politely as he turned to face her properly.
"I'm sure something can be arranged." She replied.
"The names Bond, James Bond." James said automatically. He then internally reprimanded himself for being so careless. He should start getting used to his new name! At least they hadn't started the mission properly yet.
"Tamara Knight." Was all the response he got. She held out her hand for a greeting. James delicately took the hand and kissed it. Both could see a slight movement out of the corner of their eye Yet neither mentioned it. In the background, Alex was dramatically gagging at the sight. Alex sat there being bored as he watched an old acquaintance and his new partner flirting with each other. He was really hoping Tamara would do something to humiliate James or something along those lines yet they just kept talking. After three more minutes of twiddling his thumbs, Alex noticed four men entering the lounge. Standing guard outside the glass, see-through room were four more men. If the way Tamara tensed slightly out of the corner of his eye was anything to go by, Alex guessed she had noticed too.
James noticed the slight change of tension for the brief moment it was there as well. He discreetly looked and saw the cause.
"I'm guessing your date has arrived." James muttered quietly so no one around would hear.
"It appears so." She quietly responded.
"And I'm guessing he brought some unexpected company." James observed.
"It's like you can read my mind." Tamara muttered sarcastically. James could tell she was trying to formulate a plan.
"Anyway I can assist a lovely lady?" James asked quickly. He realised they were running out of time before the men reached them.
Tamara looked up and looked James in the eyes.
"Play innocent and don't cause a scene, here."
James nodded. A moment later the men were behind them.
"Darling," the largest man (in width) said, "how lovely to see you. I'm sorry I'm late."
Anyone, spy or not could see he wasn't sorry at all. He also was not in a good mood.
"Jason, I was wondering where you had gotten to, I was getting lonely." Tamara responded in the same fake way.
"Not very lonely, obviously." Jason replied raising an eyebrow and looking James up and down.
"I noticed a beautiful lady looking in need of company, I was just warming her up for you." James answered innocently. Jason smirked.
"Well, it appears she is glowing with warmth, it is time we got going to our true destination." Jason lied in a bid of fair well. James tilted his head in acknowledgement and then looked at Tamara.
"It was lovely meeting you, I hope we meet again soon." James said.
"The pleasure was mine, hopefully we shall meet soon enough." Tamara responded in a calm voice. Both spies read between the lines. -Are you in danger? - Yes, but don't act now-.
James looked at the other three men surrounding him and Tamara and squeezed past them back to his table were Alex sat looking bored but with his mind working on over drive.
"Time to move?" Alex asked quietly as James sat back down.
"Not quite yet." James muttered softly as he chugged down the drink left forgotten on the table. They watched as Tamara was escorted out of the lounge and watched as the five men guarding the door followed behind.
"Now we move." James stated as he stood up and picked up his coat and other belongings. They had been designated a section to leave all of the large luggage for when they caught their next plane. Alex quickly followed suit and in no time they were weaving their way through airport corridors full of vacant shoppers doing anything to pass the time before their flight. James watched as he saw the last of the men walking into a cornered off section for reasons of construction. James followed and knew Alex was right behind him.
They came to a stop when they heard voices. This area of the airport was cold. Both spies guessed that the builders had obviously put the flooring in this section but the wall was missing letting in a large draft. They couldn't see because of each room being split up by opaque material which blew and rustled in the wind.
"...op lying!" A voice shouted. Both had identified it as Jason's. There was no noise other then the wind blowing into the unfinished building. James took this opportunity to look through a slit in the opaque material so people could go from room to room. He saw Jason and his eight guards with their backs to him and Tamara standing near the edge of the building where there was a long fall to the ground. Only Tamara noticed him but showed no sign of it. at that moment there was a large gust of wind causing the plasticky material to rattle louder then normal. James used the distraction to slip through the gap. Alex followed quickly after and none of the men had noticed the change in population in the room.
"Fine." Tamara said. She let go of all fear and false innocence that showed on her face and looked Jason in the eye. She needed the men distracted so that they would not hear footsteps as Alex and James walked closer As quietly as possibly.
"Fine?" Jason questioned, he sounded almost disappointed. "You're giving up that easily? Wow, how did you ever pass spy training 101 if you could pass resistance."
"Well, I'm obviously not very good. I mean, they gave me a boring and pathetic mission." Tamara drooled. "Watching you."
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME!" Jason cried. James and Alex were now standing directly behind a man each. Alex nodded to Tamara.
"Well, this has been fun but I want to go home so if you'll just turn around and get this over with." Tamara said making eye contact with both Alex then James.
Jason and his guards turned to look what she was looking at and simultaneously Alex and James punched the men they were standing behind between the eyes. Those men fell hard but the next lot required more skill. The men started to pull out their guns. Alex kicked the next man's wrist making him release the gun. He then did a quick jab to the stomach. As the man bent down in response Alex grabbed the back of his head and pulled the man's head over his raised knee. It was done with such force that it shattered the man's nose and caused the bone to go into his brain effectively killing him. He then proceeded to do a one legged donkey kick behind himself straight into another man'a private spot between the legs. Bringing his leg forwards without letting it touch the ground he kicked the next man in the chest causing him to fly backwards. Tamara had to quickly side step to avoid falling out of the building. Since the man was loosing momentum and almost regaining his balance, Tamara gave a final shove before removing herself from the edge permanently.
At the same time, after James had punched his first victim he then proceeded to do a head kick to the next man. It was thoroughly uncomfortable in his trousers, he would have to bring up the issue with Q when he next got the chance he thought. James then proceeded to pull out his gun tucked in his trouser waist band and shot the man Alex had just donkey kicked in the privates. His senses indicated someone was about to attack from behind so he quickly spun around. At the same time he noticed that Jason was bringing up his gun to shoot at a fleeing Tamara. Using this opportunity, James pushed his attacker into the line of fire and aimed his own gun catching Jason in the temple.
"Well, that made my life easier." Tamara said with a sigh of relief. James put his gun away and Alex relaxed out of his fighting pose. He really needed to remember to keep a gun on him at all times!
"Hi Tamara." Alex said walking over to the woman With his hand held out for a friendly shake."
"Nice to see you again Alex!" Tamara cried forgetting the whole fiasco that happened moments ago. She swatted his hand and pulled him into a bone crushing hug.
"I'm so glad you're alright. I mean, they told us you landed alive but that was it!" Tamara exclaimed as she let go of Alex.
"Wait, you two know each other?" James asked confused.
"Yeah, got involved with the CIA on a previous mission." Alex said. James raised an eyebrow so Alex continued. "I sort of ended up in space before falling back to earth in Australia."
All three spies reigned in their features so if anyone was surprised you couldn't tell.
"So you knew I was flirting with a CIA agent and forgot to mention it." James asked skeptically. He seemed to not care that he hadn't noticed she was a CIA agent, just the fact that Alex sat on the side lines probably laughing.
"I was hoping Tamara would do something more dramatic but I'm good with this." Alex motioned around him to all of the dead or unconscious victims.
"Right, I need to phone in and get a clear up of this area and get the live ones to interrogation." Tamara said before springing into action.
"And we have a plane to catch." James said as he looked at his watch. With that they said goodbye to the American agent and headed off to start their mission.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. For those asking for action, was it done well? All moves (martial art wise) are from my martial arts classes in which I put them into action and not just practice.
What did you think?
