Author: Ayano27

Disclaimer: I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Summary: AU. The mafia has chased Tsuna since he was seven. He was told that he is the descendant of Vongola Primo by the Primo himself. Since that time, Tsuna was trained by Primo through dreams. But one day, Reborn came and said that Atsuki, Tsuna's younger twin, will be the Tenth. Bur Primo doesn't agree with that. So, what will happen to them?

Chapter 8

Tsuna hid many secrets from his family. He didn't tell them that he was involved in the mafia since he was seven, he didn't tell them that he knew and always talked with Primo, he never told them that he wasn't actually 'no-good' as they always have thought—

So it was no surprise that he never told anyone that he and Hibari Kyouya, the feared demon prefect of Namimori-Chuu, were friends. Well, not friends, per se, but you could say that they were acquaintance (Hibari refused to acknowledge that they are friends.). They've known and occasionally sparred since they were eight.

The reason how Tsuna knew him was only because he had helped Hibari defeating some yakuza thugs when he was caught in the mess. Why was he caught in the mess again, even though he tried to avoid any sorts of mess? Well, blame his hyper intuition for that!

The eight years old brunet was strolling down the town's market when he sensed something dangerous in one of the empty alleyways, only to saw a raven haired boy, approximately two years older than him, surrounded by twenty yakuza thugs, all carrying weapons with them. The raven haired boy himself was wielding a pair of tonfas.

He knew who the boy is. Hell, the whole Namimori might as well know and feared the boy! He was the Hibari Kyouya after all. He already made a reputation for himself since the raven haired boy was five. Those who didn't know of him must be living under a rock their whole life. That— or they were foreigners.

That was not the point now though. No matter how strong Hibari was, he was clearly outnumbered, and it was only a matter of time before Hibari exhaust himself and the thugs called for reinforcement. Knowing that, Tsuna quickly decided to enter the fray as well.

As the ten thugs lunged at Hibari, Tsuna quickly ran into the fray and helped beating up some of the thugs on his own. Hibari narrowed his eyes at the brunet as he delivered a blow at one of the thug's stomach. "Herbivore. What are you doing here? I don't need help." He hissed.

"Hibari-san, no matter how strong you are, with this amount of yakuza thugs, you will exhaust yourself." Tsuna stated calmly as he kicked a thug on where the sun doesn't shine, "And if that happened, the thugs will saw it as an opportunity to call reinforcement and beat you up."

"Hn. I'll just beat those herbivores up if that happens." Hibari growled out while he gave a hard kick at another thug, before turning and attacking another different thug.

The thug groaned out but didn't give up. He took the block of wood his fallen fellow yakuza brought and was about to hit Hibari who was now busy with another opponent. Tsuna noticed it though and quickly jumped on his feet and kicked the wooden block out of the sneaky thug's hand, before he did a backflip and kicked the thug on his face.

Hibari turned his head in time to see the supposed herbivore doing a backflip to attack their enemy, which caused the raven haired boy to smirk. "Wao, it seems that you aren't really an herbivore. Though there are some rooms for improvement from what I see in your moves."

'Whoa, the Hibari Kyouya just praised me?' Tsuna thought in surprise, 'If only I did not need to put a 'Dame-Tsuna' facade, I would be bragging it to people.' He scoffed in his mind, "I've been training to fight for about one year now, give or take a few months." Tsuna elaborated.

By the time, most of the thugs had run away and the ones left were the ones unconscious. Hibari turned toward Tsuna. "Omnivore, your name."

'Whoa! I've been upgraded into an omnivore in his list already?!' Tsuna thought quite excitedly, but he tried to remain as calm as possible and answered Hibari, "Tsuna. Sawada Tsunayoshi."

Since then, Hibari had sometimes just dragged him when he saw that he was alone and forced the poor brunet to spar with him. They were quite close because of that. So imagine how shock he was when Primo suddenly shouted in his mind -something about Hibari- when he was just lazing around with Gokudera and Yamamoto in the rooftop.

'TSUNAYOSHI! I brought a VERY shocking news! You won't belive it!' Primo shouted right inside his mind. He acted weirder than usual, which made Tsuna worried. Was he high or something? ... Do ghosts even capable of being high?

'W-What is it...?' Tsuna asked hesitantly

'I just met with Alaude, like, about 10 minutes ago! And guess what—' The Vongola Primo took a deep breath, preparing himself to tell his descendant the news, 'Hibari Kyouya, the one you have known since you are eight, is actually Alaude's descendant! And guess what's more? Hibari and Alaude are the same case as us! Alaude have been communicating with him since he was like five or something!'

"WHAT?!" Tsuna shrieked in surprise.

"Eh, what's wrong Tsuna?" Yamamoto asked in confusion

"Is something wrong, Tsuna-sama?! Should I take care of it for you?!" Asked the ever so loyal right hand man.

"P-P-Primo just told me that Kyouya—THE Hibari Kyouya—the one I have been sparring with since I was eight... is the descendant of Alaude-san..." Tsuna trailed off, his eyes wide in shock.

"He's also a descendant of Primo's guardian?" Gokudera asked

"Eh? Tsuna, you are in first name basis with THE Hibari Kyouya?!" Yamamoto was more surprised at the fact that the brunet called the prefect with his first name and made it out alive. After all, the only person who was able to get out alive after calling the prefect was only Kusakabe Tetsuya, the prefect's vice leader! To hear that there was another person who could do it...

"Oi, that's not the point here, yakyuu-baka!" Gokudera growled out

"And that's not it..." Tsuna continued, his bangs was now covering his eyes, "He and Alaude-san is also the same as me... Kyouya has been trained by Alaude-san since he was five."

"That's a lot faster than Tsuna-sama! And since he is older than us by two year, which means... He had known of Vongola for ten years already?!" the silverette calculated.

"He... he never told me any of this..." Tsuna mumbled, before he stood up, fist clenched, "Even when i told him about me and Primo! Gah! I'm going to get him for that!"He exclaimed in annoyance. 'And how the heck did you only know about it now? Kyouya and I have known each other for what- five years already!' He asked Primo as he walked down the corridor.

'Eeeh! I just knew about it now as well! Unlike G., Asari, Lampo, or Knuckle, I have not been in contact with Alaude since he went and train Hibari Kyouya!' Primo argued.

Tsuna sighed at that.

"Tsuna-sama, please wait for us!" Gokudera yelled out from behind.

"Tsuna! You're not seriously going to go and beat him right?" Yamamoto asked quite worriedly

"Oh, I'm really going to beat him up." Tsuna gave an uncharacteristic smirk, "He was the first person I told about my circumstances with Primo, yet he never tells me about him and Alaude-san. That senpai of mine, I will certainly 'bite him to death' as he would put it."

His two friends gulped seeing the brunet's different side. Note to self: never ever anger Tsuna, in any circumstances.

The three were now in close vicinity of the receptionist room, close enough to hear groans of pain from inside. This quickly alerted the three. Pushing off his thoughts about beating Hibari up for a while, Tsuna quickly toward the receptionist room door and slammed it open, only to see...

Atsuki, in dying will mode, hitting Hibari with a slipper.

'Ah... He's dead.' Tsuna and Yamamoto thought at the same time.

"Hn." Was the only thing Hibari said as he hit the younger Sawada with his tonfa hard enough to make him fly to the wall, where Atsuki's subordinates were sprawled unconscious. Before Tsuna could alert Hibari of his presence, the prefect saw the sun arcobaleno sitting idly by the window. The raven haired teen growled out and tried to attack the hitman, only to be blocked easily.

"Wao, a strong baby... or should I say... an arcobaleno?" Hibari asked, smirking.

Reborn narrowed his eyes, but said nothing. "Hibari Kyouya," he started, "You seem to have some guests." He directed the topic away. Hibari lifted an eyebrow, but turned toward the door anyway, only to see Sawada Tsunayoshi and two other herbivores behind.

Reborn meanwhile, took the opportunity to escape.

"Sawada Tsunayoshi, what are you doing here?" Hibari asked with an uninterested tone.

"Hibari Kyouya... how could you..." Tsuna muttered, looking very pissed right now, "I've told you about my secret, and you never told me that you have a similar one like mine! I thought I was the only one like this, damn it!"

"I am not obliged to tell you about that, omnivore." Hibari stated blankly

"Why you, bastard—!" Gokudera growled out, preparing his dynamites, but Yamamoto quickly held him back.

"That's not fair!" Tsuna complained, pointing at Hibari accusingly, "I'm going to beat you up in our spar for that!"

"Ho?" this made Hibari smirk, "Usual place, usual time, omnivore. See you later then."

"Hmph!" Tsuna muttered something under his breath, something about 'fighting-maniac', "Anyway, just don't beat my brother and his minions more than that, okay? I don't want to listen to his complains later on." He stated as he turned away from the receptionist room.

"Ah! Wait up, Tsuna!" Yamamoto exclaimed as he pulled Gokudera with him.

Reborn was in one of his hiding place right now, sipping his coffee as he replayed the conversation once more. 'Secret? What secret does Tsuna have that was similar to Hibari's?' He thought, trying to guess what were they hiding. 'Was it knowledge about the mafia?'

He glanced at the letter he received from Vongola Nono just yesterday, the letter he had re-read thrice already.

Dear Reborn,

I've been reconsidering about my decision the whole time, because my hyper intuition have been telling me that I am not doing the right thing, and it intensifies more with the letter you gave me before.

But I would like for you to give Atsuki a chance for now, he might change if given time and the right guiding, at least, do so until you find out if Tsunayoshi knew about the mafia or not.

If it does turns out that he knew about the mafia, I will immediately discuss with Iemitsu and come to Japan to confirm it. But if he doesn't, then you shall proceed with training Atsuki and getting him to change.

For now, keep a close eye on both candidates as you told me in the previous letter. Inform me for any other new information.

Sincerely, Timoteo.

"Nono... do you really think Atsuki will change?" Reborn asked himself, "I got the feeling that he won't change until Tsuna did something very drastic."

When I was going to write chapter 8 (which was originally intended to be Ryohei's chapter), I just didn't have any idea what to change in the plot line, so I decided to put it off.
