"I do all the time. Why should it matter now?"

"Cause when I'm buried underneath a lot of problems and I can't figure things out or to blinded by my ignorance to see what in front of me. I just let me self go into a world that I have created on my own to clear my head. Do you have one too?" he tilted his head to the side to get a better look at her and see her reaction.

"I do have one. One where the sky is the water and the water are trees with and endless forest of blooming cherry blossom's and different colored autumn leaves. Where there is nothing but silence even when the trees' gently sway one way while the water is unmoving." Orihime's eyes dulled and became slightly lifeless as she finishes describing her inner to Ichigo who is now looking more intensely at her.

Chapter 9

Ichigo couldn't believe what her had just heard from her when he asked for her to elaborate on what she had meant. It had sound so much like what his was and he could just picture it and how it looked. Finding out that one of your friends was experiencing the same thing seemed so unreal for him. He chose not to ask her too much about it seeing now that her mind was somewhere far distant then when it was a few minutes ago. He took another glance back her and saw that she was a little to lost in her own world again and that it was time to bring her back into the world of the living 'again'.

Placing a hand on her shoulder genital he felt a rough tug on his arm where she put her hands at and yanked him backwards until he was lying on his back, grunting in slight pain from the sudden attack. He had forgotten that she took karate and a few self-defense class with Tatsuki, plus she was rumored to have surpassed her and was also a black belt.

Hearing the sudden thud to the ground, Orihime quickly came to her sense's and let go of Ichigo's arm in a panic just now realizing what had transpired a few seconds ago. Getting over the slight guilt she felt, Orihime briskly over to the side of him and helped him back up onto his feet.

Stuttering a bit and trying to find the words, Orihime apologized to him " I'm so so so sorry Kurosaki-kun! I didn't mean to do that to you!" she frantically said.

" It's ok Orihime, it was my fault that i forgot that you knew how to fight." smiling sheepishly at her.

There was a heavy silence between the two. Ichigo didn't know why though, that was until he realized what he had just said and looked into shocked grey stormy eyes that now held so much pain, sorrow, and understanding that he felt he had just been stabbed in the chest what a knife.

Actually that was how Orihime was feeling now. Shock and hurt consumed her being at the moment and realization hit her like a slap in the face. She was surprise that he called her by her frist name, but then the words after that was a taboo for her. He may not have said it but the meaning was still there. He thought that she didn't know how to fight.

' He thinks I'm weak '

.

.

.

' Defenseless '

.

.

.

' Troublesome '

.

.

.

' Burden '

Turning away from him. She felt sick her couldn't handle being around him at the time. All Orihime wanted to do at the moment was running away from him, from the things that bring her down, from the guilt of being weak and what everyone thought she was... a burden. Taking quite steps that turned into a speed walk the jogging and finally into a full on run.

Orihime ran.

Running was all she ever seemed to do and letting her emotions get to her made her no better than a cowered that hid and ran from the dangers that lurked around every corner or dark alleyway. Feeling tears streak and run down her face in water falls, she felt her mask crumbling along with the world around her as she continued to run away from the storm that was fast approaching.

With Ichigo

The first rain drop fell and hit Ichigo as he stood still like a statue and staring at the spot where Inoue was just standing before she took off in an unknown direction. Moments passed before he chose to look up at the cloudless night sky and wondering how could it possibly be raining when there weren't any clouds in the sky.

Ichigo felt stunned and stupid as to what he just had said to her. He made a mistake. A huge mistake, he had seen the surprise and interest in her eyes when he said her name but the words after that where an insult to her that he didn't mean to say. Falling to his knees her punched the now dark grey and wet slab of solid cement multiple times until someone decide it was enough and stopped him before he chose to break his hand.

" Ichigo that enough! What the hell is wrong with you? And why are you out here in the pouring rain? " came a harsh and authoritative female tone from a small teen with raven blue hair.

Silence was all she got from the orange haired teen. The more he chose not to answer her the more frustrated she got at him.

" Dammit Ichigo! Answer me already!" words laced with anger and concern.

" Ichigo Kurosaki if you don't answer me now, I promise I will beat you until you say something then have Inoue heal you after words."

When she had said Inoue, he had visibly tensed but then tried to hide it before she had noticed it yet. Unfortunately luck wasn't on his side neither was life for that matter. She noticed and wasn't happy about the fact that he hadn't said anything yet.

Rukia was beyond mad now, until she heard someone telling her to stop what she was doing to Ichigo. Letting him go, she turned to Renji wondering why he was also out at a time like this.

" Renji what are you doing out here too? Is this like a group gathering in the rain or something?" she asked sarcasm clearly noted in her voice. He looked at her like ' I should be asking you that' look. Seeing that he was thinking the same thing, she averted her eye's to Ichigo motioning for Renji to look at the reason behind both of their questions.

Orihime

Orihime slide down a smooth and flat surface of the side a random building since her legs were too shaky to keep running or even stand. Trying to catch her breath, she let the tears continue to fall blending in with the rain that seemed to never end as she looked up with lifeless and uneven eyes at the sky. If a person where to look at her from a distance they would have thought that she was a real life doll that somebody had left behind or forgotten about. Her mask had already crumbled and left her exposed to the world again with the pieces that held it together trailing behind her during the time she was running.

' Why?'

.

.

.

' Why did it have to be this way? What did I do wrong? It hurts...' Orihime raised one of her arms and clenched her chest. The pain wouldn't go away. She felt herself breathing rapidly and she wanted to scream cause the it was overwhelming that practically burning through her and creating a whole by eating her inside out. So she screamed into the vacant space and empty sky until it hurt. Crying her eyes out seemed to be best after Orihime let out the sorrow and agonizing scream that probably reach miles and caught others attention about what was going on or what was that.

' It hurts... its painful... I don't want this... please make it stop..'

' I hope it stops soon...'

She felt like she was losing her mind and nobody could have blamed her since it was a normal reaction for keeping and holding everything in all bottled up with a tight lid to and not talk about it with anyone. Orihime knew that she was bound to have a mental and emotional break down, but she didn't know it would go about its way like this. " I'm sorry " she tried to voice out. " I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'sorry, I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'M SORRY!" she yelled before hitting the soaked sidewalk and letting the darkness take her into its embrace.

' there's no place like home...'

Inner World (Orihime's)

Pitch black. Darkness. No light or anything as Orihime floated about in her World that she used to escape to from time to time. Not even her 'other'was there to greet her in the usual manner of ' what do you want? ' or at least ' welcome back '. Silence filled her being and it scared her at how cold it was and empty inside. Just. like. a. hollow. Orihime slowly opened her eyes which were still unfocused take in the floating water like bubbles that were now filling up the vacant space around her coming deep within her. She could her the faintest of voice that seemed to grow louder the more she fell.

Children and her parents voice begun getting clearer and she now realized that they were all negative towards her and how they truly felt about her.

' I wont have my daughter dressing like a street urchin! ' she could hear her mother yell at her father about the way she looked.

' Whats with those old clothes she's wearing? ' shock took her from the sound of her childhood. As she continued cascading down some of the bubbles would burst around her.

' Just ignore her...' hurt consumed her face.

' She's looking at you...' curling up into a fetal position she tried to drown out the memories that haunt her.

' Hey, I think she likes you! '

' Shut up, I hate her...'

' What a loser...'

' I hope she kills herself...' tears flooded out she closed eyes wishing for this to end .

Hoping for it to be over she thinks to herself

' I really am useless...'

' Why wont anyone look at me...'

' See me for what I am!'

' I tried so hard!'

' Nothing I did was ever good enough...'

' I've only got one of me '

' I just wanted to help you! ' remembering how she tried to help her friends out in battle.

' Because you always look sad...'

' But all I did was get in your way!'

' Useless...'

' Worthless...'

' Failure...'

'I hate you'
