Izumi groggily woke up and slowly opened his eyes. He had kept on getting repeat nightmares so he hadn't gotten much sleep. He rolled about half expect to fall on the floor. He then realised that he wasn't on Ryouma's sofa anymore. He moved his hand tiredly and felt around and confirmed to himself that it was in fact Ryouma's bed.
He got up and decided to see where Ryouma was. He didn't want to be alone. The dream had been so realistic and he really just needed to be with someone who wouldn't hurt him. He made his way to the kitchen and looked about. There in the kitchen area was Ryouma reading over what looked like to be a script of some kind.
It didn't take long for Ryouma to take note of the footsteps quietly approaching him. He turned around on the chair nearly falling out of it.
Hey Izumi. I'm glad to see you're up. Do you want anything?"
"No thanks." He said disinterested in eating anything.
"At least eat something. You were sick last night and it'll help you get better quicker." He said giving him the 'it will be good for you look.'
"Okay. I'll just have an apple." He said not having the effort in him to fight back. He walked over to the counter and looked through the fruit bowl he had. Thankfully the first one he picked up seemed okay so he just went with that one.
"I have a free day today and I want to spend it with you. What do you want to do?"
"I don't know." Izumi said disinterested
There was a slight awkward silence in the atmosphere but Ryouma cut through it with another question.
"Do you want to go out somewhere?" Izumi gave a quick look of disinterest then his eyes fell to the floor. Ryouma could see that he was in pain and nowhere was this more evident than in his eyes. Ryouma had heard a saying that the eyes are the windows to the soul and Izumi's eyes looked like his cracked lucky marble.
"But what if they're still out there?" Izumi didn't want the risk of running into them again. They thought of what they could have done again sent shivers down his spine.
"Rei took care of them." Izumi was instantly focused on what he had said.
"What did he do?" He said fearing that he had done something very, very illegal.
"I didn't ask but he said he would get them taken care of. He can be scary when he wants to be." Ryouma said nervously as though Rei was right there in the room with them.
"Oh…I don't want to go out until Rei calls back. I just want to be safe."
"Izumi you are safe with me."
"Thank you."
After they realised that they still needed to find something to do and since going out was defiantly not an option they needed an alternate. Ryouma's eyes scanned around the room until he spotted a shelf filled with dvds.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" Izumi gave a small yet determined nod.
"Sure. What do you have?"
"I don't seem to have really that specific but I do have a couple here you might like." He said pulling out a couple of thin DVD cases and a large sized boxset.
"Spirited away, Madoka Magica, lucky star or Hetaila. Which one? You can pick.
Izumi looked confused at the multi-coloured DVDs. It seemed really out of place from Ryouma to have these on hand. He was the type of guy who would probably be into drama or thrillers or even anything he was in previously.
"Very important research…" He said trying to hide the fact that he had in fact watched all of them in order to impress Izumi with his knowledge of cute anime. He assumed that they were his favourite genre seeing how his room was practically covered with Lala Lulu memorabilia. He was going to watch them when he got time.
"I'm not in the mood for anything that dark so that rules out Magica. I think Spirited away might be nice." He said quietly. He hadn't really thought about anime much this past couple of days. He hadn't even made any progress on his manga. Sometimes he would notice that his hands would start to shake so it could make drawing even harder than normal.
"Okay I'll put it on."
He put the dvd in the payer and joined Izumi on the sofa. Izumi was lying down on his back so Ryouma decided to sit by his feet. Izumi seemed to get really uncomfortable all of a sudden.
"Could we not sit like this? It still kind freaks me out seeing anyone near me while I'm lying down. I know I'm safe but still… I just see them crawling up-"
"Izumi I understand." Ryouma thought about it for a moment and then moved them both so that Izumi was leaning on his shoulder in a comfortable position.
"How's this?" He said hoping that it was okay. He didn't want to trigger a panic attack. He only had little knowledge on what to do if a person is having a panic attack.
"Much better thank you." He rested his head on his shoulder and began to watch the movie. As the movie began he felt more relaxed than he had in a long time.
They watched the movie. Ryouma was surprisingly getting into it. He wouldn't mind if he dressed up like Haku and then Izumi could dress up like Chihiro. Izumi looked really good whenever he dressed up like a girl. Maybe that could be their next date? He had heard through his agent that there was a convention coming up soon. That would be perfect.
He looked back down at Izumi but noticed something was wrong. He seemed off. At the beginning he seemed really into it but after a while he seemed to be distracted. Ryouma wondered what Izumi was feeling like.
Izumi felt unusual he was doing something that he loved yet while he was still happy to be doing something he still felt like there were just people watching him. If there was any especially loud moments he could feel himself shudder a bit.
Also when he watched this movie before he would feel a sense of wonder at how beautiful it was but now watching it again he found himself coming in and out of focus. He would pay attention at certain parts but then totally blank out at other parts. This wasn't normally like him and he felt like he was losing his mind. He snuggled further into Ryouma for comfort.
He jumped up like a shot when he heard a sudden loud noise come from Ryouma's pocket. Ryouma was genuinely scared when he saw how terrified Izumi was but he made eye contact with him and calmed him down.
"It's just my phone no need to worry. Watch on" He said fixing his slightly dishevelled hair.
"No, I'll pause it for you. There's a really good bit with Haku that I don't want you to miss."
Ryouma gave a quick nod and left the room to go take the call. When he was out Izumi buried his head in the mountain of cushions Ryouma had out. He didn't mean to react the badly it was just so unexpected. He felt like even with everyone's help it was still going to be a very long time before he was normal again.
"Hello it's me Rei. I've dealt with the guys so tell Izumi he no longer needs to worry about anything." Rei said with a definitive tone in his voice.
"Thank god" Ryouma breathed with a sigh of relief. They deserved what they got. Ryouma knew that they had defiantly paid. Rei was basically like a mother hawk and if you hurt his baby he could probably kill you.
"Also I've been talk with a therapist. I think he should really get some counselling. It will help him a lot. Could you maybe ask him about it for me? How has he been?"
Ryouma looked back into the living room where Izumi was face down in the pillows quietly grumbling to himself. He hated to see Izumi suffering like this.
"I don't think he slept well last night and he got really scared when the phone rang. He's been really jumpy so I think it might be for the best that he gets so help.
"I'll come over a little bit later. I have some business regarding Izumi's schedule I need to get sorted. I have something else to sort out so I might be a bit later." He said as he hung up.
He walked back to the sofa and placed a hand on Izumi back. Izumi groaned agin and propped himself back up on the pillows.
"Who was that?"
"It was Rei. He's sorted out everything. He wanted me to ask you something." Ryouma had no idea how Izumi was going to take this. It was probably going to be hard enough talking about it to him let alone some random stranger.
"What is it?" He asked yawning slightly and stretching.
"He want to know if you'd be okay going to a therapy session." Izumi froze up for a moment. The idea of it was making him panic. He realised he would probably need the help but the idea of reliving it all over again was even more terrifying.
"I don't know. I suppose but I want you there with me."
They resumed their previous movie watching positions and enjoyed the rest of the movie. Izumi fell asleep about 5 minutes later. He was still scared but Ryouma acting like his pillow made it a bit easier.
So that was a fluffy chapter. I've been stressed as of late because of my psycho German teacher (Again). So this came a bit later than usual. Whoops. It's not one of the best and I wish it was a bit longer but I promise the next one will be top quality.
