I heard the door of the lab open and I turned around, staring at Spock with a raised brow. He knew that when I was in here I want to be alone to think. "What cha want sweetie?" I asked, a little bit of my accent coming out.

"I need to ask you about what you're working on. I was told by Bones it was top secret." Spock said, emotionless, except his eyes, I could see the curiosity in them. Bones always does right by me when I need time to think or work on something, today it was a blood sample given to us by Khan.

This man named Khan was confusing to me, but always piqued my curiosity like no one else had. I wanted to learn so much more about him. "I am running a sample of Khan's blood through to see if he really is human and if so, then do a full work up of his genetics." I said, leaning against the table.

Spock nodded and then walked out, leaving me to work on my stuff. Thank the lord because what no one knew is that I planned to go to Khan's cell and talk to him. I am glad that I know psychology and am a pretty good therapist.

I stood outside of Khan's cell and as creepy as it sounds, I was watching him. He was quite good looking though there was an air of arrogance and nasty around him that I couldn't shake off. "What do you want?" He asked suddenly, turning to look at me.

I hate to admit that I jumped but damnit, I did. "To talk, if you want to that is. I want to learn more about you." I said softly, knowing he could more than likely hear me. Khan's head tilted and he raised a brow. "I brought you food and tea as well. I figured you'd need to eat."

I wasn't lying, this tray in my hands was for him. It was just a simple hamburger, fries and a cup of ginseng tea. Khan nodded slowly and I could see the gears in his brain turning. I opened the door and stepped in, sitting down next to him and setting down the tray.

"So, why are you being so nice to me?" He asked, looking at me with a slightly confused expression.

That question made me pause. Why was I being nice to him? I opened my mouth and then closed it slightly. "It's just how I am Khan. The crew can be assholes but look at it from their perspective. You took out pretty much a squadron of Kling-ons without being hurt at all. Plus, you blew up one of our labs on earth. I don't care about most of that. I just want to get to know you, maybe figure out whom you have that grudge against and then help you find a new home." I said softy, my cheeks turning pink.

Khan had a slightly amazed expression, as if no one had ever wanted to hear his story. As if he was possessed, he started spilling everything to me, and my heart broke for him. By the end of his tale he seemed to be close to tears and I was crying. Part of me didn't want to believe him about the head of Starfleet being behind this.

"I am so sorry about your situation. Please, tell some of this to Captain Kirk and he'll help you. He has the same heart as me." I said softly before rising and wiping my tears away. "I will be back Khan, and then I'll tell you about me." I said, smiling sweetly at him.

"I shall wait for that day doctor." Khan said, a very small smile on his face as well. As I walked out of the cell, I had no idea what Khan was going to do, or that it would end in my cousin's death.

Hey guys! Sorry for being gone for so long! I've been busy with school, work and all that Jazz. I hope you like the long over due chapter to the story and I do apologize it is so short. These are more drabbles then one shots I've realized.

Thanks!
