Hiya!
Here's part 2 of X-Mas
Jack landed lightly on the red rug. "Hey, North!"
"Jack, my boy! How are you?" North didn't look up from the papers in his hands.
"Fine. How about you?"
"Eh, same old, same old. Just readin' zeh letters ta Santa." North held out a bowl to Jack. "Cookies?"
The boy's eyes widened. "Yes, please!" He grabbed the bowl and started stuffing the Christmas decorated cookies down his throat. Though crazy and completely annoying, the elves sure made some good cookies. "Anythin' I can help with?" he asked with his mouth full.
North was unaware of how eager Jack seemed to help him. "Well, you could help me read zeh letters."
"Great!" Jack grabbed another bowl of cookies from a passing elf and hurried to open a pink letter before settling down to read.
Dear Santa,
I love you Santa! I cant wait ta meet you on Christmas eve. Im youre biggest #1 fan ever! I wanna stay up all night to meet you. But Mama says that I haveta go to bed before 9. But I still hope I get to see you! Oh, and I wanna pink pony, an x-box, a teddy bear, and a giant pink princess dress for Christmas.
Love,
Sarah H.
P.S. The older kids at my school say you're not real but I know they are wrong.
Jack smiled at the grammar and spelling mistakes. Judging from her messy handwriting and her writing, she was probably a little older than 7. He chuckled at the picture at the bottom of her and Santa, and put the letter aside.
Dear Santa,
I'm almost twelve years old. People say that I'm too old to believe in you. They always make fun of me, especially this group of guys at school. I told the teacher but Mr. Green just told me to stop tattle tailing. But if the boys push you into the mud and steal your stuff, I don't think it's called tattle tailing. They call me mean names and spread rumors around the school. I really wish they just leave me alone.
Please help me or give me some advice because I don't think I can take it anymore.
Love,
Estella H.
When Jack finished reading, he stuffed the letter into his pocket and flew out the window, muttering to North that he'd be back later.
In the middle of a town in North Dakota, a girl was backed up against the trash cans behind her school. She was dressed in a puffy coat and had earmuffs on. Her light colored hair whipped around her in the wind. A bunch of boys were ganging up on her.
"You're such a baby! Why don't you just grow up!"
"You should go back to preschool with your stupid little friends."
The little girl, Estella, attempted to stand firm but she was trembling in fear. "I'm not afraid of you."
"Yeah right."
"We can see you shaking."
She said, "Go away. Leave me alone." With her back against the brick wall, there was nowhere to run.
"Leave you alone? Why should we?"
"It's up to people like us to make sure that people like you grow up and stop being stupid."
Estella replied, "Go away you, idiots."
One of the boys mocked an offended look. "She just called us 'idiots'."
"Yes she did. Let's teach this bitch a lesson." The leader of the gang raised a fist.
Estella cowered and shut her eyes.
But nothing came.
"Whoa!"
"Where did all this ice come from?"
The girl opened her eyes.
Two boys had mysteriously fallen on there bottoms while the others were staring in fear at something above her head. She looked up. Gasp. One of the lids of the trash cans was floating in midair. Suddenly, it flew out and shoved itself in the leader's face.
The other boys glanced at each other. "Uh, let's get out of here!" They ran off, dragging their stunned leader behind them.
Estella looked around, a little voice in her head kept saying that her savior was still there, but the lot was empty with the exception of her. She was about to leave when something crumpled under her foot. Picking it up, she smooth it out. It was her letter to Santa. Written in a bright blue ink at the bottom was: Keep Believing. Your name means 'star,' so shine as bright as the stars in the night sky and you'll go far.
"Santa's real. He really is real!" she cried.
Unbeknownst to her, Jack Frost watched her run to the safety of her home. Those boys would think twice about bullying her again.
He flew back to the North Pole.
North was ahead of his schedule. Thanks to Jack, who had started helping earlier that month, North was at least a couple days ahead of schedule.
"Phil! Kira! Make sure zeh robots are painted in red, not blue."
"Yargahar!"
"Maxer, how is the globe doing?" North yelled.
The yeti Maxer gave North two thumbs up and a giant smile.
"Good."
Elves ran around the room. Two of them were attempting to wrap a box in wrapping paper. There was only one other problem with that besides the fact that the wrapping was wrinkled and ripped: one of them was the bow.
North rolled his eyes and knelt down. "You are doing a very good job. I'm just going to take this and put it in the sleigh." He, of course, removed the elf bow and gave it to a yeti to re-wrap.
He turned the corner and found himself face to face with the Tooth Fairy, who had her fingers stuffed in an elf's mouth.
"Hmm, your teeth aren't very white. You should stop eating cookies and candy- oh, hey North!" Her colorful plumage shined in the light. The soft firelight made her looked majestic.
"Whoa! Hey, Tooth! What are doing here?"
She pulled her hands out of the elf, who scurried away as fast as his tiny legs could carry him. Crossing her arms, she scowled at North. "Guess what Sandy told me."
North looked down. "I know, - sigh - but I have no choice in the matter."
"What do you mean you 'have no choice?' He doesn't deserve to be on the naughty list after the Pitch incident-"
"Wait, hold on, I don't think you and I are on same page. Who's 'he?'"
"Jack!"
"Jack who? Jack Green? Jackson Anderson?" Jac-" The gift giver was thoroughly confused. He had a million "Jacks" running through his head.
"Jack Frost! Seriously, North, what did you think I was talking about?"
North back-up a step. "I thought you meant all the candy I will give out on Christmas."
Toothiana was fuming. "No! - Well, actually, I'm still mad about that... Anyways, let's get back to the point. Jack deserves a present this year!"
The man harrumphed. "Oh no. First Sandy and now you, too? Come on, Tooth, I can't do anything about it."
"Yes you can! Sandy has been keeping a close eye on Jack and he said that Jack has been a good boy this year." Point for Tooth.
"Yes, but he still has three hundred years to make up for." Point for North.
"If it wasn't for him, you, me, Sandy, and Bunny would have disappeared from the earth!" Two points for Tooth.
"Yes, we owe him a lot but three hundred years of mischief is ... a lot. He hold record for naughty list." Two points for North.
"If it wasn't for him, Pitch would've hurt the children. North, think about the children!" Three points for Tooth.
"I am! What do you think Christmas is for? I am giving gifts to children,' North said. Three points for North.
She was so mad that he swore he could see a thin trail of smoke coming out of her ears.
"Oooo," she wanted to punch him. "Oh, fine, maybe Bunny will persuade you. You and him clash together like sweets on teeth."
"What? Tooth, you are very confusing. We not talking about teeth."
She gave an exasperated sigh. "North, I want to punch you so badly..." Then, she flew out the window. "Make sure the elves brush their teeth!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." North went back to the center of the workshop with a major migraine.
Honestly, I think I put too much dialogue in here. Oh well.
