WELL, I WILL ANSWER YOUR FIRST TWO QUESTIONS BECAUSE YOU DO KNOW ME FROM THE PAST. I AM KIKYO'S LITTLE SISTER KAEDE.

An aged past has appeared in front of him. What is going to happen now?

InuYasha with wide eyes threw himself up from the futon bedding. He was in total shock of what he just heard. He immediately turned around to look at the source of the voice. In front of him, was standing an old woman in priestess clothes that was red and white. She was wearing an eye patch in one of her eye. The woman who claimed to be Kikyo's sister.

"This can't be." InuYasha said.

"Well, it is happening." The woman named Kaede said.

InuYasha just stared at the woman in shock. He never saw that one coming. What was this woman doing here?

"I… I thought you were dead." InuYasha said.

"Everyone thought that about me." Kaede said.

Then she went to a corner. What was in that corner and what she was doing? He didn't know.

"InuYasha what is going on. You know her?" Kagome asked.

"Ahh yes! He knows me. After all, he did try to kill all of us." Kaede said.

Kagome with wide eyes looked at InuYasha, who was now holding a shocked face. InuYasha on the other hand, was now under a severe trauma as everything from the back of his memory gushing back. This was the past that he remembered, but he chose to forget. This was the only past he just dared to remember because he knew that there are some memories that must be left abandoned. He really didn't want to remember any of that.

"You tried to kill them?" Kagome asked.

InuYasha could not give a reply. He just stood still.

"Why are you quiet all of a sudden InuYasha? Back then you had a very big mouth." Kaede asked.

With his blood boiling, raised his fist and slammed it on the ground.

"SHUT UP! WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ANYTHING?" InuYasha yelled letting his rage out.

"I don't know anything. That is the problem." Kaede said.

"Huh! What do you mean?" InuYasha asked.

"You know what I mean. Where have you been all these 50 years?" Kaede asked.

InuYasha's eyes widened at the question. That was a question he was asking himself. What did he do all those 50 years? What happened to him? Why is he not dead yet?

"I can't answer that question old woman." InuYasha said.

"And why is that so?" Kaede asked.

"It's none of your business." InuYasha said. "Now if you excuse me, I am going away now."

With these words, InuYasha stood up. He was finally able to stand up on his two feet. But then he suddenly couldn't. He couldn't feel his whole body as soon as he stood up. He felt very numb. But he fought it. There was no way in hell he could be in a place like that. After all, this is the past he was running away from.

But as much as he wished for it, he really couldn't. He felt very numb and the pain hadn't subsided. He was wobbling all over the place. But he kept on fighting it. He didn't want to give up. He didn't trust these people. They tried to kill him in the past and they tortured him in the present. He couldn't stay here any longer. Unfortunately, he failed to even take a step.

Immediately, he fell down to the ground not being able to fight the pain.

"InuYasha" Kagome said in a loud voice.

She then ran towards InuYasha.

"You idiot. Why did you have to stand up?" Kagome asked.

InuYasha couldn't say anything. He just sat quiet and allowed Kagome to pick her up and settle him back in the futon.

"Ahh! Yes, typical InuYasha. Guess some things don't change at all huh!" Kaede said.

InuYasha heard those words loud and clear. His rage was spiking. He wanted to run away and far away from that place. But he couldn't. He was unable to at that moment. He was totally shocked and there was no way he could escape from a whole village.

Kaede than came back from the corner with a tray with a cup on it.

"So, you're going to kill me?" InuYasha asked.

Kaede didn't speak anything. She just kneeled down and laid the cup right beside him.

"So what's with the hospitality all of a sudden? So you can torture me again? Get me killed?" InuYasha asked.

"You just think too deeply InuYasha. I did not call you here to kill you." Kaede said.

"Then what is it? Why did you call me?" InuYasha asked.

"I just wanted to see your face." Kaede said.

InuYasha was surprised at the reaction. She wanted to see him. But why? Why would she even bother?

"And why is that?" InuYasha asked.

"Because I couldn't believe it." Kaede replied.

InuYasha was now even more puzzled. She couldn't believe what?

"I couldn't believe that you were still alive. I had to see it by my own eyes to believe it. So now that I have seen you, I can now safely believe that." Kaede said.

"Sigh! Shut up old woman." InuYasha said.

"Drink it." Kaede said pushing the cup forward.

"Sorry, I won't." InuYasha said.

"Don't worry. Like I said, I won't kill you or torture you." Kaede said.

InuYasha looked over to Kagome. He didn't really know what to do. Kagome on the other hand gave a light nod.

Looking defeated and having no other choice, InuYasha grabbed the cup and brought it close to his mouth.

"This better not be another trick." InuYasha said in his mind.

With every bit of hope, he brought the cup closer to his lips and began sipping the vial. He kept on sipping as Kagome looked on. He sipped it very slowly. He did not trust Kagome and in other occasion he would not have trusted anybody. But for some reason, he just felt safe.

It felt strange. Maybe it was Kagome's judgment that caused him to feel that way, or was it he believed in Kaede. He really didn't know.

Soon, InuYasha finished sipping his tea. He then put his cup down. But something was wrong. He felt very strange and his head began spinning. What did that old woman make him drink?

InuYasha immediately grabbed his head and looked down with his long hair shadowing his face.

"InuYasha, what is wrong?" Kagome asked.

"I…" InuYasha tried to say something.

"Are you okay?" Kagome asked.

"I…"

Kagome was now starting to get worried.

"What did you make him drink?" Kagome asked.

Kaede did not give any response. She just stood there with her eyes shut.

"Why are you staying quiet?" Kagome asked.

Kaede still not give any response.

"ANSWER ME" Kagome yelled.

Then immediately the ground rumbled and walls cracked. Kaede on the other hand gave a loud gasp.

"This can't be." Kaede said.

She turned slowly around. There right in front of her was Kagome and she was stopped by InuYasha's arm that was in her way.

"I feel much better." InuYasha said.

Kagome didn't say anything. She just stood there and stayed quiet.

"That was just an after effect in order to reduce the shock injury." Kaede said. "Get some rest. I think we will have to talk later."

With these words, Kaede then stood up and went outside.

InuYasha was now feeling very strange. Everything that was going on, was very confusing. Kagome suddenly went defensive on him and Kaede helped him recover. What was going on? Why did Kagome suddenly become so super defensive?

InuYasha giving a huge sigh looked over to Kagome who was carrying a very shocked look on her face.

"What is happening to me?" Kagome asked.

InuYasha couldn't say anything. What was happening? That was a question he was asking himself.

"You know, there are questions I am asking myself." InuYasha said.

"Huh!" Kagome was surprised.

"Yes, you are not the only confused one. I don't know anything about myself." InuYasha said.

"What do you mean?" Kagome asked.

"You probably heard that I know the old woman right over there." InuYasha said.

"That's right." Kagome said.

"It has been 50 years since I last saw her." InuYasha said.

He couldn't hear anything. Kagome was definitely shocked. He could tell that straight away.

"50 years. That can't be. Nobody lives young for that long." Kagome said.

"That's right. I am confused. What happened to me in those 50 years? What am I supposed to do? What am I? Those are the questions I always ask myself." InuYasha said.

Kagome was still there looking shocked.

"I know it's hard to believe." InuYasha said.

"It's okay." Kagome said.

"Huh! What do you mean?" InuYasha asked.

"I just don't know what happened to me either. For one moment, I was at my school studying and the next I was found by you." Kagome said.

"I see." InuYasha replied. "I have a question for you."

Kagome raised her head.

"Why are you following me?" InuYasha asked.

InuYasha was expecting a no answer situation. After all, what would she know?

"I don't know." Kagome said.

That was the answer he was expecting.

"But for some reason, I am always followed by this sense that I should be with you and that you will keep me safe. I was just too scared, so I had no other option." Kagome said.

InuYasha was dumbfounded. He was really not expecting an answer. But what type of answer was that?

Half of the day passed by as InuYasha was finally able to stand up. Kagome was right beside him. She did not stir for the whole day. She just sat there not moving an inch.

"You know, you could have gone outside since people here are nicer to you." InuYasha said.

"I can't really. This is a place that is unknown to me and I don't trust this place either. As much as you." Kagome said.

"Sigh! Then it looks like I have to go outside huh!" InuYasha said. "Just stay here. I will come back soon."

With these words, InuYasha moved towards the door. He was expecting something to go wrong as soon as he would step outside. After all, he was an intruder.

Taking a deep breath, he slid the door open and was about to move outside. However as soon as he opened the door, he was greeted by Kaede.

"Ah, InuYasha.. I have been expecting you. Come let's take a walk." Kaede said.

With these words Kaede moved outside. InuYasha having no other option followed her through. They walked past the village that was pretty much simple. There were mens working on fields, children playing around. It was indeed a village like atmosphere. But for some reason, they were staring at InuYasha.

"I apologize if some of my men became violent with you. They don't trust anyone beyond this village. However, the two people who were torturing you have been in trouble in many more times. Don't worry we have taken care of him." Kaede said.

"You mean, you killed them?" InuYasha asked.

"That's how rules are here. It's to put everyone safe and behind the rules. We warn them, if they don't heed, we lock them and if they don't heed then they die." Kaede said.

InuYasha at that moment wanted to yell at them for having such a cruel law. But with all the people looking at him, he had to keep shut. In fact, he had no right to question the law.

"So, you look after this village?" InuYasha asked.

"Yes, it has been 50 years since we found this place and began settlement here." Kaede said.

InuYasha was surprised by the amount of development the place had. There was electricity, peaceful settlement, friendly neighbors although they were not going to be friendly to him that was sure. But this place had everything that a person from back in the time wished for.

InuYasha kept on following Kaede until they reached a set of stairs.

"Sigh! So you have a shrine." InuYasha said as both of them began walking upstairs.

"Religion has been forcefully faded away from this country. I am just merely keeping it alive." Kade said. "Any problem?"

"No nothing. Just haven't seen one intact in years." InuYasha said.

"I see." Kaede said.

Soon, they were on top of the stairs and right in front of them was a shrine. InuYasha looked around and was surprised to see how well maintained it was. It was clean and well managed. He was surprised and had one question in mind. How did they find tools for this much development?

They went inside and gave prayers. This was the first time in a long time him giving prayers. As he opened his eyes and looked at the idol that was in front of him.

"Is anything wrong?" Kaede asked.

"No nothing. It's just that it has been… Sigh! The last time I came to a place like this, it was with my mother." InuYasha said.

"I see. Come outside. We need to talk." Kaede said.

With these words, Kaede went outside. InuYasha on the other hand just stood there looking at the door from where Kaede went outside. He then looked at the shrine god again.

"Sigh! Dear God. What is going to happen to me now?" He asked.

After taking a moment inside, InuYasha stepped outside into the sunshine. He looked around and found Kaede standing in the distance.

He moved towards the place where she was standing. For some reason, she was looking at the sky.

"Time flies, doesn't it?" Kaede asked.

"How time never waits for none. How I have grown old so fast." Kaede said. "But for some reason, you are still young."

"Where are you trying to get with this?" InuYasha asked.

"InuYasha, I want to know the truth. What happened back then? Why did you betray us?" Kaede asked.

"Why are you asking me all that?" InuYasha asked.

"Because all these years I am having a hard time believing that you betrayed us." Kaede said.

"What do you mean by that?" InuYasha asked.

"Just tell me what happened on that day." Kaede said.

InuYasha didn't want to do this, but he really had to.

"Okay, I betrayed you all because I wanted that cylinder. On that day, when we were being attacked, I was fighting the horde of Kamikaze's. There were just too many of them. We had lost many of our people. So we retreated. We were surrounded, and there was no escape. I ran and ran hoping to find an escape but there was none. It was only a matter of time I was regrouped with Kikyo. She gave me a cylinder saying that I should take it safely away from Kyoto. However suddenly, everyone went against me. They all tried to catch me. But I finally escaped. It was only a matter of time I saw Kikyo and… " InuYasha said.

"You killed her." Kaede interfered.

"What? What do you even mean? Kikyo is dead!" InuYasha was confused.

"My sister was found dead while you suddenly went missing all of a sudden. We assumed that you killed her and ran away." Kaede said.

"I DIDN'T KILL HER. SHE PUT A BULLET IN MY FUCKING HEAD." InuYasha said.

"What? So that means you didn't kill her?" Kaede asked in a tone of surprise.

"Why would I kill her? She was the one who put me through everything and she was the one who put a bullet in my head. I wouldn't even dare to kill her." InuYasha said.

"Then where were you all this time?" Kaede asked.

"I don't really know. One moment I saw a gun aimed at my head and the next moment, I found myself in a dumpster 50 years later." InuYasha said.

Then InuYasha put his hand on his head in despair.

"Man, Kikyo is dead. What is going on?" InuYasha asked himself.

"I see, and all this time I thought you sided with The Royals." Kaede said.

"So how come you're still alive? The last time I remember, someone shot you in your eye." InuYasha asked.

"Somehow, I survived. I think I would call it a cursed miracle." Kaede said. "Good thing it wasn't you."

"Heh! I have no business killing you." InuYasha said.

"But it doesn't make sense." Kaede said.

"Huh! What do you mean?" InuYasha asked.

"Kikyo was with me all that day. How come she was with you?" Kaede asked.

"What!" InuYasha said.

Things were now getting more confusing. Kikyo was with Kaede all that day, but that day she was with him. She gave him the cylinder. He was sure of that one.

"Do you want to know what was in that cylinder?" Kaede asked.

"Go ahead! Tell me why I was shot in the head for it." InuYasha said.

"Those are cells made from my sister's blood. If used right, it can reconstruct a person's DNA and can alter their genes. In other words, it can make a person stronger or just normal if they wished to." Kaede said.

"And let me guess. You all thought I was with you all that time just to get that cylinder because I always wished to be normal?" InuYasha asked.

"Yes, guess I was wrong." Kaede said.

"Kikyo's blood can deconstruct a person's DNA? But how is that even possible?"InuYasha asked.

"It's very rare. It was long ago that the Royals extracted that from her blood." Kaede said.

"So why aren't they after you? You are her sister after all." InuYasha asked.

"Everyone has it InuYasha, even you. It's just the matter of fact that whether ability unlocks or not. Only one person in a billion can have that power. On top of that, it should be extracted from a living person." Kaede said. "And that girl Kagome is the newest example."

"Huh! You mean that she was used to make those cells?" InuYasha asked. "That explains why we were chased by the militia."

"Huh! You mean that you were chased all the way here?" Kaede asked.

"She is one of the prisoners who broke out from Sector-DMWL. I crashed into her on the way. Out of nowhere, she began to kill all of the soldiers just by screaming. But for some reason, she didn't leave my tail and I had to bring her here." InuYasha said.

"I see. But that prison is far away from here. How come she even managed to get here?" Kaede asked.

"I don't know. That means they have made a huge number of those cells already." InuYasha said.

"Maybe. We shall discuss this later. For now, let's just go back." Kaede said.

They began to move back. Dusk had almost befallen and now they were finally moving back deeper into the village.

"Hey Kaede." InuYasha called.

"What is it?" Kaede asked.

"Are you still going to kill me?" InuYasha asked.

"No, I am not." Kaede replied. "But I still hate that face of yours."

InuYasha didn't say anything. He just followed Kaede back to where he was laid down.

"I will have some more to talk with you. But for now, get some rest." Kaede said.

With these words, she went away. InuYasha on the other hand was very tired after a very confusing day. Nothing was making sense to him. Everything was now even more confusing. Kikyo shot him in the head, Kagome having the same blood type as that of Kikyo. With everything happening, there was only one question on his head. What was going on?

Then suddenly a huge scream came from inside the house. It was Kagome's. InuYasha immediately ran towards the door and opened it. There he found Kagome lying on the floor completely in shock and on the ground, lay his tablet.

"Hey! What happened?" InuYasha asked.

Kagome didn't say anything. She just sat there in great shock as InuYasha moved forward. Then the tablet caught his eye. It was supposedly dropped.

He then picked it up and opened the screen. InuYasha couldn't believe at what he saw. An article with a big headline was written on the screen:

CITY 6 HIGH SCHOOL MURDERER ESCAPED FROM PRISON.

And under that, was Kagome's photo.

"I remember it. I now remember everything that happened." Kagome said.

The girl has a past. A past that is unknown to anyone.
