Introductions
Perspective: Perseus Jackson
Avengers Tower
"So… can we have introductions? I know your superhero names, but not your real ones." I said. The Avengers had taken us to the tower where they lived, hoping to get us settled in. We were all sitting in what I guess is the living room. The guy with the arrows, I think it's Hawkeye, was sprawled out on the floor, playing with an arrow. On a chair behind him, the woman I think is called the Black Widow stared at us, eyes narrowed, as she fiddled with her gun. Next to her sat the man behind the Hulk, as he took off, wiped, and put on his glasses, obviously nervous. On the other side of the room, the guy that spoke to us on the beach, who called himself Tony, stared at us warily, as he clenched and unclenched his fist. Next to him, the Captain America man simply looked at us, as he watched our every move. At the doorway, stood a man with blonde hair and a hammer. This was the one guy whose name I didn't have.
"Well, since this is my tower, and I already introduced myself, I'll just reintroduce myself." Tony said. "The name's Anthony Edward Stark. Call me that, you're dead. Just call me Tony." He said, as he fingered something under his shirt. I narrowed my eyes, as I noticed a soft glow coming from under it. Tony noticed my gaze, and instantly looked away, as his hand stopped fidgeting. The Captain America man noticed Tony's discomfort.
"Well, my name's Steve Rodgers." The captain said, smiling softly. I frowned, as I instantly noted how it was strained. I looked at Annabeth, who was also frowning.
"My name is Natasha Romanoff." The Black Widow said. Everyone looked at her strangely, as she rolled her eyes. "What? They're on the team now, aren't they? No need to lie." Natasha muttered. Hawkeye shook his head in disbelief.
"Name's Clint Barton." Hawkeye said, still staring at Natasha strangely. The guy that was the Hulk chuckled.
"Bruce Banner." He said, as Annabeth's eyes lit up.
"The Bruce Banner!" She said happily, eyes shining. Tony pouted.
"How come there's no the Tony Stark." He mumbled. Annabeth stared at him, unamused. The last person coughed, as everyone looked at him.
"Well, Midgardians. I am Thor. God of Thunder." He said arrogantly, twirling his hammer. I coughed into my hand, as Annabeth's eyebrow rose. The rest of the Avengers stared at us, waiting for a reaction. I soon couldn't hold it any longer, and burst into laughter. Annabeth soon followed after, and we were both rolling on the floor, laughing up a storm.
Thor blinked.
"Did I say something wrong?" Thor asked, confused. I gasped for breath.
"N-no. It's just-" I laughed, cutting off my sentence. Annabeth soon calmed down, as she wiped away tears of laughter.
"I pretty sure that Thor isn't blonde. And he sure as Hades isn't formal." Annabeth said, as she tried her best to stay serious. Thor blinked once more.
"Pardon?" He asked. Annabeth looked at me. I lay on the ground, gasping for air. Clint had scooched away from me, eyes wide. I calmed down, and scrambled to my feet. I looked at Tony, since this was his tower.
"Hey Tony. Can you take us to the roof?" I asked. Tony stared at us in confusion.
"Sure?" He said, making it sound like a question. We quickly got into the elevator, and Tony pressed the button for the roof. I clutched Annabeth's hands tightly, as we flinched in unison when the elevator began to rise. We scrambled out when the elevator's door opened, and I felt relief at the feeling of the wind on my face. The Avengers walked out, and they stood behind us.
"Well? What did you want the roof for? To prove that Thor isn't a god? Because I'm 100 percent sure he's a god." Natasha said. Annabeth and I chuckled.
I raised my face to the sky, as I summoned my loudest voice.
"THOR! GET YOUR GODLY BEHIND DOWN HERE!" I roared. The Avengers blinked, as nothing happened.
Thor frowned. "Midgardian, what was that-"
I shushed him by simply pointing at him.
I grinned, as the winds began to pick up in speed. Thunder rumbled in the distance, as small bolts of lightning began to flash. The Avengers looked at Thor, who stared at us in shock.
"I-I'm not doing this." He said. More lightning began to flash, as the center of the storm focused above the tower.
Suddenly, a huge bolt slammed into the top of the tower, making the Avengers scream. Smoke rose from the ground.
"Well, mortal. What did you call me for? It better be important, 'cause you just made me miss a very important episode of Game of Thrones."
