Thanks to all my reviewers and readers!

It's as if time stands still when we get told something unbelievable. Like if everything you knew was a movie flashing before your eyes and ending within an hour. Ally's voice shook as she asked the question she wanted to ask him since she picked up the phone. They had spoken of their wedding that they had to deal with and many other things, but she forced herself to finally ask about it, to understand what this all meant.

She knew Austin didn't want to talk about it, but they had to. It seemed hours to her before he finally responded. His voice was even, monotone, with no emotion, probably still not believing it himself as he spoke about what the doctor had said. The treatments were working and he was going to gradually get better, but even so it could turn on him in the blink of an eye, his doctor appointments would be more frequent to monitor his progress. Was that good or bad news? Why did Ally feel so apprehensive then?

"That's good to hear, but my mom wants to do the wedding in about two weeks. I'm using my mother's old dress and we've chosen the flowers, you need a tux, and there is still so much to plan." I sighed relief, yet fear of the days, weeks, months, maybe years to come that I'd have with Austin, could I really have my happily ever after?

Austin laughed "All that I told you are good news, I'll get better. Don't worry about anything; I can sense your underlying concerns through the phone. I'll be here for years to come, by your side always. The wedding doesn't have to be big either."

"How did you know I was thinking of that?" I said surprised.

His voice was soft, almost thoughtful "You are my best friend, my life, and I can tell in your tone easily what your mind is on. We're connected already as one in mind and body. I know you better than anyone else."

I laughed now unable to choke back the few tears that fell now as I spoke "Yeah, get some rest and then hurry over. I want to see you as soon as I can."

I heard him start to laugh pretty hard "Um about the rest thing, not going to happen before I see you."

"Why?" I asked concerned.

He controlled his laughter and sighed "Think you could let me in?"

I gasped and looked out my window to see him wave at me "Of course!"

I hung up the phone dropping it on the bed as I ran downstairs to let him in. I opened the door and his mom was walking up the walk with a tote full of things. My mom came to the door now greeting Austin and Mrs. Moon before ushering them in.

"I have the swatches and pictures of flowers. I also have some magazines with ideas amongst other things." Mrs. Moon followed my mom into the living room.

I followed them Austin right behind me and my mother smiled at us before having us come in. They began to set things out, they were definitely prepared, and I mean way over the top prepared. How long had they been planning something like this I had wondered?

"How many do we want to come?" my mom asked.

Austin and I looked at each other before saying in unison "Just parents and a few close friends, Trish, Dez, Dallas, Dez's and Trish's immediate family, nothing really big."

Our moms just laughed shaking their heads and wrote a small list. Then we discussed flowers, colors of decorations, invites, and the location we would have it. We decided the most befitting place we would choose was the place we met, a place close to our hearts where we spent many days together, Sonic Boom. Our moms didn't argue at all, in fact they found it romantic and kept the price lower than it would've been somewhere else. We went on like this for hours.

I stroked Ally's hair, her head in my lap as she had sprawled on the couch earlier as we went over wedding details and she had finally passed out from boredom having gone over the details over and over again with our moms. It had been an hour since our moms decided to call it a night seeing as Ally refused to stir. I smiled as she turned in her sleep and then moved her gently so I could sprawl out next to her my arms wrapped around her.

She seemed to smile in her sleep and I kissed her cheek. Ally turned to me now and snuggled into me and for a moment I thought I had woken her up, until I could hear her soft cute snoring. She looked like an angel tucked in my arms so serene and gentle.

I leaned my head down until my lips were just a fraction away from her ear as I murmured "I'm making a promise to you that I'll always be here for you, no matter what, just call out to me, I will always return to your side in a time of need, I love you."

Ally shown no sign of stirring this time, but I felt her hands grip my shirt. I laughed to myself before drifting off myself. That night I had the most peaceful sleep I'd had in a while. Maybe it was because I was feeling better or maybe, just maybe it was Ally, her presence giving me security. As if she was telling me through our dreams that she'd do the same thing for me.

The two lay asleep on the Dawson's old couch now. Both of them were holding each other so peaceful and happy now while they slept. The world seemed to stop moving for this moment and soon time would start back up, but just for them time seemed on their side. Life was fleeting, but to them small moments like this would last forever.

Now to finish what I started! This next chapter will prove the hardest for me to write because some many ways to end it are running through my mind!
