I know I know, Wow took you so long to finish. You didn't care about the stories at all. What about the people who followed and favorite. I'm sorry first of all. I should never had made it take this long to finish a story. I lost my drive to write it all and never had any motivation, which still hasn't really come back yet. I can say that it will eventually will and writing of this chapter has helped. Anyways thanks for this who have waited so long and I hope you all enjoy.
"Strange that they would do that for you Ash, a whole penthouse suite for all of us to share." Paul muttered looking around cautiously.
"Who cares Paul, stop being so stingy and just relax. We can relax and look around, there's a pool table an outdoor Jacuzzi." Dawn said while sitting down on the couch.
"I'll be right back guys, just stay here and relax I gotta go talk to someone." Ash said while walking out the door.
Pokémon Center
Delia walked into the Pokémon Center alone, Red had gone to the League Headquarters to discuss the upcoming matches that the elite 4 would be in and the possibility of facing his own son in the finals for the title of Champion.
As she entered she saw Ash's former friends staying around Max and Pikachu who had suffered major injuries after the battle, he had just been healed but was shying away from Max and the others.
"Hi everyone, who are you all?" Delia asked with concern laced for the well being of Max and Pikachu.
"Sad that we lost and angry that it ended so soon." Max said looking down at the ground.
"Mrs. Ketchum, we were thinking maybe we should go apologise to Ash." Brock told her while looking around at the others who also were shaking their heads in agreement.
"I don't know, I just tried it but it did not work out as well, and being that you stole his Pokémon as well may make it harder for him to forgive you."
"I say we find him and apologise and if he doesn't accept our apology we can't complain can we after all that we did to him." Misty said, swallowing her pride as she did not agree but for the sake of her friends she did.
"Unfortunately Mr. Ketchum is no longer staying within the Pokémon center, all contestants who make it to the Elite 4 are given a suite at the nearby hotel to relax all friends and family of the contender." Nurse Joy told the people who were asking for the location of Ash.
"Is there any way you could let us know which hotel, we need to speak with him urgently." May said to nurse joy with pleading eyes.
"I'm so sorry but that is not possible at the moment. We have strict rules to not let the location fo the person to be revealed so they can focus on their matches." Nurse Joy responded sadly.
"Listen here missy my son is competing and I demand to know whe-" Delia was cut off from a voice behind her.
"Of course I'll take a picture with you." Ash said with a smile as he knelt down next to a little girl.
"Thank you Mr. Ketchum." The little girl said to Ash running away with to her parents a huge smile on her face.
"No problem, hey take this with you, consider it souvenir and thanks for cheering me on all this time, couldn't have done it without you." Ash said while giving her his miniature poke ball zipper thingy.
"Ash!" Brock yelled to Ash who still had not noticed the group in front of him.
"Oh, it's you guys. If you could excuse me but you're in my way I need to speak with Nurse Joy." Ash said coolly surveying the group in front of him.
"Please Ash can we talk, we want to talk and clear the air and apologise about everything." Gary said to him sadness easily seen within his eyes.
"Meet me outside in 10 minutes. I'm giving you 5 minutes to let you say what you need to say and can you please move out of the way people need to speak with Nurse Joy as well it's not just you guys." Ash said sounding irritated at what they had asked him for.
"How do you want to tell him?" May asked looking at the others.
"I don't know, I think we should be upfront with him and let him know everything that we feel and that its fine if he doesn't want to talk to us again. " Brock said and everyone seemed to agreed.
Ash turned the corner and faced the group in front of him.
"So your 5 minutes start now." Ash said while looking at his watch.
"We're sorry, we aren't looking for you to accept this, we just want you to know that we feel bad for everything we did, and that we hope that one day we can be friends again." Gary spoke up to Ash.
"Is that it, that wasn't even 30 seconds. Well let's begin shall we. I won't forgive you, actually no I can't forgive you all at least not yet, it'll take some time. Everything you've done driving me from my home and taking my Pokémon away. Despite everything I still don't hate you guys, despite what you guys think i never hated you." Ash said while looking away from his friends.
"After I win the Kanto League, I'll let you know of my decision of whether or not I can forgive you guys." Ash stated while walking away.
3 Week Time Skip
"Ladies and Gentlemen it is time for the Kanto League Championship!"
"From Twinleaf Town, Ash Ketchum!" Ash walked out face set on the battlefield determined and focused on winning this battle.
"The Champion, the man defending the right to be Kanto Leagues King of Battling Red!" Red walked out hands in his pocket looking as calm as ever.
"You ready kiddo?" Red asked Ash while standing in the trainers circle.
"Shut up, you have no right to call me that. If you were a true father you never would have left in the first place." Ash said back to his father.
"I'm sorry, I never should have left you but I feel because I left you are the man you are today." Red replied with a solemn look on his face.
Flashback
After defeating the final member of the Elite 4 Ash had the chance to face the champion and finally prove everyone who ever doubted him wrong.
"Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the Champion of Kanto, Red!"
The very man Ash had met in the Pokémon center that evening was walking towards him.
"You're the champion?" Ash asked looking confused.
"You bet we need to talk kid ,in private." Red said while walking towards the tunnel.
Ash followed Red and arrived in the locker where he saw both Red and his mother talking to each other.
"Mom what re you doing here talking to him?" Ash asked looking confused as to why he was there.
"Ash, this man is a very special person in both our lives. He was the man who promised and a child that he would win the Kanto League and come home to start a family. He didn't win the league until a few years after you were born. He's your father." Ash's mom said to him with tears in her eyes.
"I-I- no he can't be you said that dad never won a league championship and he was still trying to win a championship." Ash said while backing up.
"I'm sorry Ash but it's the truth, he is and he's been watching over us this entire time. You always asked how we were able to keep our home while AI didn't work, it was because your dad would always send us money to keep us stable."
"Ash, I know you probably hate me right now, and in all honestly if you didn't I would be even more confused but I am going to say that I'm so proud of you for everything you've been able to accomplish without my help. Finding a great group of friends. Traveling and competing in so many different tournaments as well as finding a beautiful girlfriend. I am here now and I want to make up for all the years I missed and be a dad to my son." Red said while walking towards Ash slowly.
"No you left us, never once did I hear from you as a child, the fact that you appear now because I'm battling you next is unacceptable. I don't think I can ever call you dad, I don't even know if I can forgive you for everything. I need to think about this all. I do have a question. Why?" Ash said tears streaming down his face.
"That's a question I asked myself every day since I left why. I left to become the best person i could be the best trainer, not thinking of the consequences that my actions would have on the ones I loved the most. I was selfish and was not ready to be a dad but I know now that I am. Once you beat me and become champion it'll be time to go back to Pallet and enjoy a life of peace. I was wondering if my son would like that life as well." Red said while placing a hand on his sons shoulder.
"No not now, not ever you are not my dad, I can't I won't believe it. I will beat you to become champion and whatever you do afterwards is your business. I'm never going back to Pallet, all those 'friends' and family' left me told me to give up my dream. Just like how you left mom I'm leaving everyone else." Ash said while walking out of the room.
"Stubborn kid, don't worry Delia I'll make sure he comes home." Red said while also walking ou the door.
Back to the Present
Red smirked and couldn't help but see so many similarities in Ash that he had.
"Well, if that's the case at least I get to battle you once, see how much of a battler you are compared to your old man." Red said.
"I'm not going to lose. I came this far and promised not only myself but all my friends that I would win." Ash spoke in confidence.
"Trainers please send out your Pokémon."
"Go Snorlax" Red said while throwing out his Pokémon.
"Garchomp get ready for battle." Ash threw out his poke ball.
"Let the battle begin in 3 2 1"
I was going to finish the story with the battle but I decided to make it one more chapter long so I can go into the thoughts and emotions more for the story. I have an idea for how the story should end so hopefully it doesn't take as long as it did last time. Thanks for all those who stuck around to see how the story ends.
