Two months later, Linda's birthday was coming up. Sally was back for Spring Break.
"Should we have a party for her?" asked Stephanie.
"She thought about going out for a family dinner, actually," said Howard.
"That's perfectly fine," said the mayor.
"She had a restuarant in mind," said Howard. "She's coming here first with her kids. We are going in my car."
"We can both buy a card for Linda," Stephanie.
"Good idea," said Sally.
They went to pick a card for Linda. When they went back home, they both signed it.
Later, Stephanie decided to wear something fancy for tomorrow night. She didn't know what to wear.
"Do you need my help with something?" asked Sally.
"Yes, I thought about dress up fancy for Linda's birthday tomorrow night, but no idea what to wear," said Stephanie.
"Do you still have that dress that you used to wear on Mom's birthday?" asked Sally.
"I think I do," said the ten-year-old as she went to check. "I still have it, that was from Mom for my birthday, I remember wearing this on her birthday. This was three years ago."
"That would be perfect for you to wear tomorrow night," said Sally.
Stephanie tried it on and it still fits.
"That looked nice," said Sally.
"Thanks," said Stephanie.
Stephanie took off and placed it on front of her closet door to save it.
"That's my favorite memory of Mom," said Stephanie.
"Do you think you'd pass that down to your own daughter one day?" asked Sally.
"Yes, Mom gave me that idea, too," said Stephanie. "I want this to be a surprise."
The next day, Stephanie got ready for school.
"Did you picked out something for tonight?" asked the mayor.
"Yes with a little help, but you would have to wait and see what I'm wearing," said Stephanie.
"Linda and her kids are coming at around 4:00 this afternoon," said Howard.
"Okay," said Stephanie. "I'll have time to do homework before that."
"I'll bring her to the bus stop," said Sally.
"Sounds good," said Stephanie.
"Have a great day," said Howard.
Then, they left for the bus stop for school. Her friends were already there. They waited for five minutes before the bus came.
"I'll see you later," said Stephanie as she went on the bus.
"Bye, sis," said Sally.
Later, after school, Patrick said, "Are you still coming for piano lessons?"
"Not today, my family and I are going out for Linda's birthday. Dad said she and her kids are coming at 4:00 pm. Annabelle already knows," said Stephanie.
"Okay, see you tomorrow," said Patrick.
Back in Lazytown, Stephanie went home. She did homework before getting ready.
"I can do your hair like we always did," said Sally.
"Okay," said Stephanie after she put on her dress.
Sally would do curls on all of her family's birthdays. Stephanie was all set after all. Linda and the kids came at 4:00 on the nose.
"Happy birthday," said Stephanie.
"Thank you. You have a nice dress," said Linda.
"Thanks. This was my birthday gift from my mother a few years," said Stephanie. "My favorite memory."
"That's a good way for her honor," said Linda.
"I know," said Stephanie.
"I remember that dress on your birthday recently," said Howard.
"Yes, it's more fancy that way to go out," said his daughter.
"I still like it," said Howard.
They did gifts first.
"Thank you for the cards, girls," said Linda.
"We did it together," said Sally.
"As a team," said her sister.
Then, they went out for dinner. Then, they went to the movies before heading back home.
"I had a nice birthday," said Linda.
Then, she gathered the kids and left.
