I'm going to try a chapter from Jasmine's point of view. I think Jasmine needed to be a little bit more fun, so in my story that's what I'm trying to make her. Please review and tell me whether there should be a-more from her POV, or b-no more. Please tell me why too. If you say …"no more because it wasn't as interesting, plus it's a better story with Chloe and Alek's POVS" I wont care. I just want to know the truth. Not sure if there will be more from Jasmine, tell me what you think.

Also, we all want Chloe and Alek together, I know. I could have made them together in the first sentence of chapter one, but that wouldn't be as much fun now, would it? Just keep hanging on, it will happen soon enough :D

P.S. This chapter is the longest one yet, your welcome. To make up for it I gave you a big cliff hanger, sorry but hey the longly-ness of this chapter will make up for it :D

Jasmine POV:

Chloe had finished her shift and not even ten seconds later she grabbed her bag, and she turned to look at me. She was completely ready to train. I had never seen her like this before, something changed in Chloe. I was hoping it was for the better, but as of now, she just appeared to be closed off. It was like she wanted nothing to do with friends, she was in a Uniter mode. It was good for her, yes, but I had a feeling she would take it too far.

She looked at me and raised her eyebrows. "Jasmine, I'm done. Are we going?" Her mood made mine worse, and she walked over to the coffee shop and I got up and we went. The entire time we trained she had a serious look on her face. It was starting to annoy me how distant she made herself. Every time I asked her something personal like 'Chloe do you not trust us to protect you?' or 'What did those girls do to you?' she would snap at me and get more into training. We accomplished so much ground that day. I was running out of skills, due to me not bringing supplies for future lessons. I saw how much Alek had been hurt at home. He wouldn't eat with me, he just took his food to his room. He acted sort of depressed since Chloe's attitude adjustment last night. This relationship between the three of us wasn't healthy. We didn't have fun or talk, we trained and parted ways. I knew that something was bugging Chloe. She said she was scared of dying, but I had a hunch that wasn't the only thing bothering her.

"Alek," I addressed him and he turned to look at me. "Race Chloe so she can practice speed." Something sparked in Chloe. She set down the fighting stick she was holding. She didn't say anything, of course, but she nodded her head in agreement. She lined herself up with Alek, and she took deep breaths. When I said go, they were off. Alek was faster. It was just a fact. Something came over him though. He didn't pass her quickly, leaving her in his dust. They ran evenly, neck and neck. My eyes nearly burst out of my head when I saw Chloe begin to pull ahead. They got to the middle of their path, only to turn around and make their way back to me. Chloe was at an obvious advantage. She was getting closer to ten feet ahead. Alek's face was struck with anger. He had always been faster, we both knew that the Uniter had to be better. Alek just had a few months of training on her. She had better natural skills. She was now beating him. When I looked at her face to read her emotion, I saw nothing. If I saw anything it would have been concentration, but even that was hard to see. They got back to where I was, and they stopped. Chloe had won by quite some time. They both walked over to their water, eyeing each other, but neither of them speaking. Eventually Alek let his anger build up and he snapped.

"What was that?" he asked her.

"A race." She said as if he was stupid.

"Since when are you faster than me? And don't tell me you have been letting me win all along."

"No, I told you. My priorities are straight and I've connected with my inner self. I now know who I am and I'm reaching my full potential." Chloe said, taking another sip of her water. Alek starred at her, annoyed.

"Don't give me that crap. Chloe, the Uniter has to be able to connect with all Mai. She needs to be able to be their friend and support them emotionally. Not just being stronger and winning fights. There is nothing wrong with you improving your skills, you can't just forget about peoples feelings though. If the other Mai don't like you, they aren't going to want to cooperate with you." Alek scolded her. Chloe blinked and for a moment, I thought she was going to cry. I sort of hoped she did, I hoped she realized she was going about her job the wrong way. But she regained herself and shook it off.

"Alek, I am not going to die again. I can work on my sensitive side later, its not as important."

"Chloe that's where your wrong. It is too important. And you don't need to work on it, you already have it. Just be yourself and stop being boring! I know your scared but I can also tell you that I can see past you. You don't trust me anymore. You may be faster but no offense, your other skills still suck. You need me. Something is wrong with how you feel about me. I can see it in your eyes. Tell me, Chloe. Tell me what's wrong. Did I do something?" This must have been Alek's plan. He locked his eyes with hers, not letting her ignore the question. He was prying the truth from her.

I felt like they forgot I was here. I didn't want to leave because it would have given Chloe an excuse to avoid the question. But as I sat there and watched them, I felt like I was invading their privacy. I was going to find out about this later anyway, so I decided to save Alek's breathe and just watch. It was interesting how they talked to each other. It was as if they were screaming their feelings without actually saying them.

"No, look Alek, now isn't the place for this conversation," she said throwing a glance my way. "Maybe later-"

"Are you sure your not going to lock me out again. Last night I gave you a break. Tonight I won't though. You will talk to me tonight. Jasmine is going to take you home, but when I come to watch you tonight, we are having this talk whether you like it or not." Alek grabbed his water and his jacket and he stomped off.

Chloe POV:

I was tired of being angry, and scared. What scared me more was Alek. He wanted to talk to me. I didn't want to tell him that he was the one scaring me. My dad told me not to trust anybody. Alek was part of anybody. I was positive he would hurt me, physically. I was scared of being hurt from a break up. Yes I was scared of dying from a broken heart, so I ended it with Alek. I knew that he was going to lift my spirits eventually, and I hoped that he would. Maybe then I would be able to see past my fear. He had to figure it out, though, because if I told him he would put on the charm, distracting me of the problem but not really slaying it.

When Alek showed up I hadn't planned on locking him out again, I simply had just forgotten to unlock the window from the previous night. He looked at me and then when he went to open the window, he got angry because it was locked. Before he gave me a chance to unlock the window he stormed off, giving up on me. This was why I was scared. How could I date him when his attitude can change within the blink of an eye? I was about to apologize for the window when he jumped off the roof; leaving. I started to cry but then I got a hold of myself and stopped my foolish act. He probably still heard me though, maybe not because I couldn't hear him. Then again I wasn't too focused on listening.

Alek POV:

She did it again. Got this girl was driving me insane. First she told me that she loved me and then she wanted nothing to do with me. I wasn't going to give up without a fight though. No, not I. I went to the front door and I knocked, knowing completely well that Merideth was home. She opened the door and when she saw that it was me, the look on her face fell flat.

"Mrs. King, hello. May I come in and talk to you?" I had to put on the charm, she already didn't like me since I appeared on Chloe's bed. She thought that we were sleeping with each other. Then the whole thing at my house really put her on edge. She finally said she was willing to forget all of this. There was no doubt that she was surprised to see me.

"Ya, come on in." I knew that Chloe could hear us, and I wanted her too. I wanted her to know that I got into her house anyways. "So what did you want to talk about?" She said, eyeing me carefully.

"I'm dating your daughter."

"I figured that would happen sooner or later."

"Well now something is upsetting her and she won't answer my phone calls. I just wanted to go talk to her."

"I don't know, if she doesn't want to talk to you I can't let you upstairs." Was she serious?

"Mrs. King, please. I have too."

"I'm sorry Alek, but I can't. She would get mad at me."

"Fine, then I won't use you permission. I'll let myself up there." She didn't like me already so what did I have to loose, I got up and climbed the stairs, heading for Chloe's room. I should have known she would follow me though.

"Alek, stop."

I turned and looked at her. "I am sorry but I have too. Something's wrong with her." I then proceeded to go into Chloe's room, when I saw her crying on the bed, I ran and sat next to her. Merideth looked at me, shook her head, and shut the door. She gave up and went downstairs.

"You promised not to lock the window."

"Yes, I did. But you never gave me a chance to unlock the window." She turned away from me, and starred at the bed, not wanting to make eye contact.

"Let's skip the nonsence. Your angry with me. Tell me why. Don't try to avoid the question, just tell me, Chloe."

"Alek, I'm trying to get used to this new life. It isn't easy. When I came close to loosing another life, I got scared and I realized that I need to be stronger. So I trained my butt off."

"Chloe, I will always be here to help you. Even if you do get to be better than me, you will always need back up. But let's get real, its not going to happen." I smiled and she threw a pillow at me, nearly knocking me off the bed. She really caught me by surprise.

"I'm already faster."

"Don't remind me." I smiled at her again. She laughed to herself and she looked back at her toes. She had just painted them and she examined them why she talked.

"But the problem is that I'm scared."

"Of what?" She just looked at me, but then she looked back at her toes. "So it's either me or your toes that your scared of." She bit her lip, trying not to smile. "Why are you scared of me? Why don't you trust me?"

"Because," she started but didn't finish. I thought and then I realized that she got scared after we expressed our feelings.

"Chloe. Are you scared of being my girlfriend?" She looked at me with a hurt look. "Why?"

"Because what if it doesn't work out between us. Then you'll leave and I'll be unprotected. Then I'm going to die. I just don't think I'm ready to date you, because I'm scared incase it doesn't work out. I'd rather we just stay friends."

"Chloe, we are Mai. We both have feelings for each other. I am connected with you and I would die for you, even if it wasn't my job. It would take something huge to destroy what we have. It is very, very rare that that will happen. Put it this way," she turned at looked at me. "Your pretty much guaranteed to be stuck with me." She laughed and she lightened up. I could tell she was starting to feel better.

"I guess you right." And then she smiled at me. It was taking everything I had to finish my conversation, and to not kiss her.

"I'm not going to hurt you. You need to trust me on that. And you also need to put the fun back in your life, you sorta boring right now."

She flung another pillow at me, but this one I was expected for. She smiled and she turned to me. She took a deep breath and began to talk, "I know. Your right and I'm sorry. Let's start over."

"Does this mean you have to tell me you love me again?" I teased and she rolled her eyes. I leaned forwards, and I was about to kiss her. My thoughts were running every which way. This wasn't going to be our first kiss, but it would be our first one that counted. I got close to her and I paused; breathing in her scent. I started towards he lips, and I was seconds away from kissing her.

Then there was three footsteps on the roof and a loud bang on the window.
