Lingering Shadows
Chapter 9: Relaxation
A/N: I've got new ideas swirling around in my head for more Midna x Link stories, but my next story will involve Hope and Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, I finished the first game of the trilogy, and I LOVED it, so I definitely will be writing a story about the two characters.
(Light8496) I'm still juggling with the idea of whether to add the Triforce or not, I've always liked the idea of Midna being a strong person, not too dependent on others, so maybe Link saving her might be a good idea.
(Guest) Yeah, that's a good idea, I'll be sure to make edits to the chapters at some point with that in mind. This is my first time writing a fanfiction, so I'm still trying to figure out my writing style.
(GnoteFanfic) Zelda will be introduced to the story sometime in the future. No, she will not have a three way with them all, your heretical views will be noted.
(Guest) Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying it.
Disclaimer: Nintendo and Square Enix refuse to give me the rights to the Zelda series and Final Fantasy XIII, but my plan is almost complete, so stay tuned.
Link sat in the carriage waiting for Midna to arrive, his body tensing up as he noticed the guard watching him like a hawk. Link turned his attention to the castle doors, waiting for her to come out. A few minutes passed and a hooded figure exited the castle and entered the carriage. The carriage started to move forward as the door shut and followed a road Link was unfamiliar with. Link noticed the orange locks of hair and immediately recognized it as Midna.
U-Uh, why are you wearing a hood? Link asked.
I wish to have an afternoon where I won't be bothered by politicians or whoever should try to pester me. Midna said as she pulled the hood down and slipped it off.
It must be hard being the ruler of a kingdom. Link muttered.
I suppose others have it harder, but I love my people, so I do my best. Midna said with her eyes trailing outside of the carriage.
There were minutes of silence before the carriage came to a halt and Midna exited. She took the clips holding her hair together off as the wind blew lightly against them both. Her hair now freely flowing, reaching down to her middle back. Link watched as it waved around, almost mesmerized by the movement. Midna took notice of his staring, and a smirk grew on her face.
I hope your eyes are up here, and not... trailing where they shouldn't be. Midna said.
W-What?! O-Of course not, I-I just l-like how pretty y-your hair is. Link said as he looked at what she was wearing. She was wearing a black blouse with grey see through parts on her sides. She wore black pants that stretched down to her knees. It was such a drastic change from her usual attire, it's like she was a different person. Link looked around the park trying to avoid eye contact with her, embarrassed with his comment. It seemed like a nice place, the grass was a shade of grey and black, with black-wood trees surrounding the area, a lake nearby was visible and it had water inside it. It was strange seeing a lake just like he had seen before back in Hyrule.
"I suppose even the Twilight Realm needs drinking water." Link thought to himself. He noticed she had started walking towards the middle of the field and quickly caught up with her.
Midna sat down in the grass and breathed in and out, and smiled at the scenery in front of her. She turned her gaze to the lake and stared for a few seconds before turning her gaze up at the sky.
It's pretty, ins't it? Midna asked.
I suppose so, but I prefer the sunset back in Hyrule. Link responded before turning his head towards the ground. The memories of his village being slaughtered and enslaved rushing back to him. Midna took notice of his now depressed nature and stood up to walk towards him, she pushed him down against the grass and crawled down and straddled him. Link looked up at her surprised by her sudden action.
Forget your past, it no longer exits, all that matters is the here and now. Midna said as she moved her head down to kiss him. Her left hand reaching up to caress his hair, and her right hand trailing down his chest.
Link awkwardly tried to match her kiss but it was painfully obvious he was new to it. Link felt something try to nudge it's way inside his mouth and after a few seconds he finally gave in. Her tongue now swirling around his mouth, Link couldn't concentrate as he slowly gave way to the pleasure he was receiving. Midna continued her assault before pulling back to let him catch his breathe, a smile forming across her face as she found his innocence quite amusing. Her focus changed as she felt something poking her down below, she rubbed herself up against his boner slightly, and a small moan was heard from Link. Midna chuckled to herself as she looked at his now flushed face.
It seems you're getting ahead of yourself, hmmm? Midna said as she continued to lightly rub against his erection.
Link turned his face away from her and tried forming a response, but was unable to come up with anything.
Midna brought her face closer towards his and moved towards his left ear and whispered in a seductive tone.
You must be stressed from all that's happened recently, perhaps I can help you relieve some of the stress. Midna whispered as she lightly licked his earlobe. Her hand now reaching down to grab him. He yelped slightly at the sudden grip she had on him. He felt her hand reach down under his shorts as she rubbed his member slightly, her intentions now painfully obvious.
Tell me you want it, tell me you want me to make you feel good. Midna whispered in his right ear.
W-We can't... W-We're in public. Link said as his breathing sped up. He wanted to give in to the voice in his head telling him to go for it, but he knew that there could be repercussions for doing something like this.
Nobody is here, and nobody will care, so just give in. Midna said as she continued to kiss him again, her tongue now forcing it's way in his mouth.
Link moaned again, this time she could clearly hear it. His hormones raged as he tried to fight his urge to give in and commit "The Forbidden". Link looked up at her as she backed away to hear his response.
I-I w-want you t-to make me f-feel good. Link replied, his face now the brightest shade of red possible.
Midna smiled as she leaned in for yet another kiss.
Midna: Motherfucker, why did you stop? It was just getting good!
Division: It's this thing called "Messing with the readers by leaving it at a cliffhanger like this".
Midna: Screw your cliffhanger, I want you to continue, right now!
Division: I'm worn out, plus, I'm going to get started on that FFXIII fanfiction I've wanted to write for a while.
Midna: FFXIII? I don't care what that is, forget about it and focus on this one!
Link: You enjoy tormenting me don't you, Division?
Division: Yes, and you guys are the best couple, and you really don't have a say in the matter.
Midna: Link, I hope you're ready, because I've been waiting for a long time now for this to happen!
A/N: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, I know I kind of cut it a bit short, I'm not sure when the next chapter will be out, and as always, leave comments/suggestions you have for the story.
