A Sweet Beginning
Chapter 8; "A Sweet and Annoying Love"
Another Monday morning has come. The rising sun, the tweeting of birds and the peaceful morning... Wait... Peaceful? Oh! Right Reborn was still in Italy for some business he needed to work on.
The sun rays touched Tsuna's fair skin. Waking up and blinking three times, his eyes adjusted to the light. He stretched his arms and yawn sleepily. At first Tsuna looked at his alarm clock to know the time. Yet, it was still too early to go to school. Smiling happily, his wonderful morning was ruined by a voice coming from outside of his house.
"Juudaime, ohayou. Do you want me to help you with your stuff?"
With a you're-so-noisy-early-in-the-morning look written on his face, Tsuna just replied, "N-No need, Gokudera-kun... I'll just take a bath, eat and I'll be ready. Come inside while you wait for me." Tsuna ran towards the bathroom while his two beloved friends entered his home to wait for him. Such loving guardians they were.
After doing all the stuff that our little boss needed to do, they bid goodbye to Tsuna's mom. Since they were not late to school, the trio didn't walk through the pain that they usually encountered with the cool prefect. Soon Gokudera, Yamamoto and Tsuna arrived at their classroom, safe and sound.
Disappointed, Tsuna was like a high school girl who was upset because he didn't see Hibari. Pathetic, if Reborn was here that was the first thing he'd say, Tsuna thought.
Gokudera glanced at the disappointed tuna that was seated near Yamamoto. He found him sighing. As Gokudera was just about to go and comfort him, his damn teacher arrived.
"Inchi, ni, san... Ohayou Gozaimasu," the class representative counted and greeted her teacher along with the class before she added, "Bow then sit down."
And so their boring class began.
Having a Math problem is really a nightmare but having Math as the first subject the whole school year is just hell. That's the thought of a person who really hates Math like... Tsuna.
Well, Gokudera, who Tsuna found to be athletic, knowledgeable about so many things on Earth, and an intelligent guy, was the perfect guy for a deserving girl. But sorry for all the girls, Gokudera Hayato was taken... NOT by a girl, but a guy like him… He was taken by Yamamoto Takeshi. The two were not really an official couple, because Gokudera was still in the denial stage. You could say he was still not aware about his true feeling for the rain guardian. Of course, Yamamato wasn't happy about this, nor satisfied that Gokudera knew that he loved him. Yamamoto wanted to clarify things with him. So, he had planned something.
After lunch break, the silver haired man was on the rooftop alone. He waited for the others but neither Tsuna nor Yamamoto came. Finally Tsuna arrived, not to hang out with him but to tell him to go eat lunch with Yamamoto, and he then left.
So, Gokudera had waited for nothing. No one came. From his sitting position he stood up. In doing so, he saw Yamamoto with a girl. Both were smiling. Frowning and fisting his hands to hold himself back, he shook his head and walked downstairs to their classroom. Pissed off at what he had seen, he sat angrily.
Their class had begun, but he couldn't forget about Yamamoto being with that damn girl. Well, Gokudera knew that Yamamoto was a popular guy. Though, the baseball player didn't know about it. As the class was going on, he stole a quick glance at Yamamoto. The said person looked the same as always: a happy face while yawning with his eyes half closed.
"Tch..." Kicking the teacher's table in front of him, all his classmates, including Yamamoto and Tsuna, looked at him in surprise. Gokudera just sat comfortably. Even though he was still pissed, he looked like nothing happened to him.
The school bell had rung for the last time that day to indicate that all the classes were now dismissed. Yamamoto, who stood near little Tsuna said, "Tsuna, you can go ahead and go home with Gokudera."
"Eh? Why? You don't have practice today, right?"
"No, I don't. I am meeting with someone today."
"Who?"
"Just a friend of mine." Tsuna nodded and they told each other goodbye. Tsuna looked at Gokudera, who was now walking in his direction. He was aware of them and felt that there was something happening between the two.
"Juudaime, let's go home."
"Y-Yeah."
Not wanting to intrude about the private things that were happening between his two best friends, he chose not to ask about it.
On the way home, Gokudera was very obvious about it. He was unexpectedly quiet until he told Tsuna, "Juudaime, I-I just need to do something. You can go ahead first. Is that alright with you?"
"I'll be fine, Gokudera-kun." Gokudera was running, not walking, down the path Yamamoto had taken.
"And Gokudera-kun, everything will be alright. Just talk to him..." Tsuna added. A "hai" was the only reply from the storm guardian.
"I should go and see him. I want to see him," the tuna said as he walked back to the school.
Acting like Detective Conan, Gokudera wore eye glasses and hid in such places that he wouldn't be seen by Yamamoto.
His eyes widened when he saw the girl. She looked like she was the same age as them. She was beautiful but no one knew about her attitude. They first walked to a coffee shop and Gokudera followed. The two were seated to the right side, near the window, while Gokudera was seated opposite of the two. Then, they started talking.
"Takeshi-kun, thank you for taking my request," the girl said with a blush on her face.
"Ie, no problem. Anytime as long that I don't have something to do. Do you want something to drink or eat? Um..." He didn't know the name of the girl. Well, that's Yamamoto for you.
"Tsuji Ryoko, desu. Orange juice is fine," she introduced herself.
"Hahaha. What a lovely name." He signaled the waiter and ordered two orange juices.
"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"Can you teach me about my homework today?"
"Hahaha. Me? Why me?" He asked with a 1000 watts smile.
"Because you're intelligent."
"Intelligent! Wow. Thank you. Then, I'll try my best."
"Hai."
In the other side of the coffee shop, Gokudera ordered coffee. The waiter made a weird face as he looked at him, but he didn't care. He just glared at him dangerously so the waiter left.
"Intelligent? That baseball freak? Is she serious?" The boy smirked.
"What a stupid girl she is…" he added.
Back to the two people sitting opposite of the silver haired-boy, Yamamoto had moved to sit next to Ryoko. Their order arrived and was placed on their table as the boy started to teach the girl about chemistry.
"The number of protons is the same as the number of electrons and they are determined by the atomic mass of an ele- Are you listening, Tsuji-san?" Yamamoto asked as he realized that Ryoko wasn't looking at the paper. Instead, she was just staring at him. The girl tried to brush their shoulders together.
"Hai, the protons and the um..."
"Let me repeat it for you." Yamamato started again with his long patience, as usual.
On the other hand, Gokudera's blood vessels seemed to be popping out.
"That stupid girl is trying to flirt with my- I mean... Yamamoto." Gokudera tried to stay calm and not blush because of what he said.
After an hour and half, he finished tutoring the girl. They went out of the shop and talked for a while.
"Thank you, Yamamoto-kun."
"N-No problem."
"As a thanks…" She tried to kiss Yamamoto on his lips but was stopped by him.
"What are you doing?" He asked with confused eyes and a frown on his face.
"I want to kiss you as a thank you."
"You want to do it, but you can't."
"Why not? Do you have a lover?"
"I don't have... But there's someone I love right now. So, don't do such things as kissing someone just because you want to."
"Do you belong with someone then?"
There was no answer from the baseball player.
Gokudera saw everything and heard everything. The girl was trying to flirt with Yamamoto. The stupid girl tried to kiss his Yamamoto. It was time to admit that Yamamoto belonged to him, and ONLY him. He was not going to share him with anyone.
"I want to kiss you. I want to be with you. I want to be your girlfriend. Is there something wrong with that?"
"Yes! There's something wrong with that, you stupid girl. Old hag." Gokudera appeared from his hiding place. Taking off the glasses and his disguise he shouted at the girl coolly.
"Goku… dera..." There was a grin on Yamamato's face.
"Who are you? Are you related to my Yamamoto-kun?"
"Your Yamamoto-kun? What the hell! Do you know what you are talking about, huh? Tch… You are really stupid girl." Gokudera laughed.
"Wha-"
"Just remember this: DON'T EVER FLIRT WITH MY YAMAMOTO TAKESHI. DON'T TRY TO KISS HIM. HE BELONGS TO ME." He was panting now because of the energy he used to scream. All the passersby looked at them in shocked.
"You asked a while ago, Tsuji-san, if I belonged to someone. Yes, I belong to someone else. I belong to Gokudera Hayato." He grabbed Gokudera's hand and left the girl with frustration on her face.
In a dark place, their hands were still entwined. Moans could be heard, but since it was evening no one was around.
"Ngh... Bas… tard... S... top." Yamamoto didn't stop. Instead, he bit Gokudera's lower lip, making the kiss more passionate.
"Takeshi!"
"Yes?"
"L-Let's go home."
"Yes, let's go home and continue our love session..."
"Who said that?" Gokudera blushed.
"You don't want to?"
"I-I didn't say that, b-baka..."
And so the two went home happily. Love was really the solution for almost everything.
Such a sweet and annoying thing love is, the two lovebirds thought.
