Akihito woke up dazed, but he knew from the soft sheets under and around him he wasn't in any real danger. He opened his eyes and when the room stopped spinning, he recognized it as Asami's bedroom. Akihito sat up slowly to minimize the throbbing in his head and looked around. He found Tylenol and a glass of water on the nightstand and quickly took it.

He waited a few minutes before he got out of bed. The only thing different was his shoes were gone and he had on a different shirt that was way too big. He still had his sweat pants he left the LAB on which he was thankful for.

With his headache mostly gone, Akihito went out of the room and into the hallway. To his right was the door and to his left was the living room with huge windows and a large terrace. Judging from the pitch black sky, it had been dark for a while.

Akihito walked down the hall to the living room and when he came around the corner, Asami was sitting on black leather couch reading some file with a tumbler of what looked to be whiskey on the table. Asami noticed Akihito and looked up with a smirk.

"Nice to see you're still with us in the land of the living, Akihito."

"Oh, shut up, you damn bastard. What the hell am I doing here? How did you know where I was?"

"Is that how you say 'thank you' to someone who saved you, again?"

"And again, I didn't ask you to. So answer my damn questions." Asami was amused at his grumpy hellcat's hissing. It was obvious he didn't like the fact he had to be saved again.

"Fine, I knew where you were because ever since I saw you at the café, I've been keeping an eye on you."

"And why would you do that?"

"Because you were one of those people that trouble finds easily and I was curious as to what you were working on that kept you so busy and sleep deprived."

"Ok, for one, trouble doesn't find me that easily. And two, don't you know that curiosity kills the cat?"

"And what do you mean by that?"

"What I mean is that if you get too curious with my business again, I'll claw you're eyes out." Asami couldn't stop the chuckle that came out and Akihito started steaming. "It's not funny! I'm serious."

"I'm sure you are, kitten."

"You bastard!" Akihito lunged from across the room to attack Asami only to be dodged, turned and pinned face first into the couch."

"You really shouldn't be moving around so quickly when you've just had a minor concussion."

"I'm fine, now get off of me!"

"Will you calm down?"

"… Fine." Asami smirked and let Akihito go. Akihito scrambled away and sat in a chair furthest from Asami hugging his knees to his chest, sulking. If Akihito was a cat, Asami could practically see his ears pressed flat against his hair and his tail puffed out and twitching in agitation. Asami's smirk widened at the mental image.

"You should stop sulking and go back to bed."

"I'm not sulking! And why should I?"

"Because like I said, you have a minor concussion so your head is not completely screwed on right. Plus it's late; nearly 1 AM."

"My head is fine and if I'm going anywhere it's home!"

"Your Vespa's back at the warehouse complex and the trains aren't running."

"Then I'll walk."

"You're going to walk 26 city blocks to your apartment?"

"If I have to fine!" Akihito stood and headed for the door. Akihito disappeared down the hall and then Asami heard a light thump from the hallway. Asami shook his head and smirked before he stood and went into the hall. Akihito was leaning on the wall and holding his head trying to ward off a dizzy spell.

Asami let out a light chuckle and went over to Akihito. He picked him up with little protest and brought him into the bed room. Now that Akihito had had his little hissy fit, his exhaustion from little sleep and the concussion finally caught up to him and wore his out.

Akihito was sleep before Asami even walked through the door. He laid him down on the bed and pulled up the sheets around him. Asami straightened up ad went to the bathroom to take a shower. Coming out Asami dried off and got za pair of night pants on before getting in bed with Akihito and spooning him from behind. His little wildcat really was something else.
