Hi guys, it's been so long! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating the story. First my computer broke, and then when it was fixed we left to go on Holiday… but now I'm back and I'll try to keep writing. Enjoy!
"Are you sure the plan will work Kowalski?"
"No, but it has too."
Both penguins stood underneath the trapdoor in their HQ. The plan to somehow free Skipper and Rico was risky, they both knew it. They were both unsure. But it was their only option. "Private…are you sure you're ready to do this?" Private nodded, "Yes, this is the best option we have and if it doesn't work, or we don't try, then something worse than just me and you getting captured could." Kowalski was a little taken back about Private's attitude, but knew he was right. Running through the plan once more in his head, he took a deep breath and opened the hatch.
Skipper and Rico meanwhile were running through the collaborative base of Dr. Blowhole and Hans, two of Skippers top archenemies who for once had seemingly beaten him. So far they'd found the same thing everywhere they went, locked doors mingled with glowing exit signs. It was really starting to wear the leader of the group down. "Rico, let's take five and think this through." Both of the penguins slid into the shadows were they had at least a small sense of security while they talked. "Alright Rico, So far we've seen at least 5 exit signs and 5… locked doors…maybe we haven't been looking hard enough, have you seen any trash chutes?" Rico shook his head "Uh-uh." For a split second Skipper looked defeated, but he perked up before Rico could say anything. "We've gotta keep looking." And with that Skipper took his leave. Rico took a few seconds to process everything before he realized what had happened and followed Skipper.
Private dashed through the streets of New York, sticking to the shadows like Skipper, Kowalski and Rico had taught him to do when he was younger. 'Stay out of sight, stay out of mind'. Was what he'd told. He'd also been told that a penguin never swims alone, and here he was very much alone attempting a ludicrous plot to save Skipper and Rico that may not even work. Before he knew it he was standing in the docks. He took a deep breath "…keep calm and carry on." And with that he waddled forward. Instinct told him to stick to the shadows, though he knew if he wanted a better chance of finding Hans and Blowholes HQ he would have to look in broad daylight. It wasn't long before he sensed he was being followed. He breathed deeply. "I know your there Hans." Private whirled around and indeed found Hans standing right behind him. "I was wondering if you'd come back here looking for your friends Private." Hans stated, while pulling a gun out of seemingly nowhere. "But alas it seems your kind deed has gotten you in even more trouble then you intended. I think we both know what happens here." Private nodded sadly and began to walk with Hans to the HQ. Hans didn't see it but Private was smiling. Part one of the plan had worked.
I swear the next chapter will be longer, until next time.
