CHAPTER 9: A REUNION LONG WAITED.
Lu Xun opened slowly his eyes, his vision only a blurr for a few seconds, he felt a weight on his side and as he looked down a smile plasted on his handsome face. Shi was sleeping next to him embracing him like a baby. Her hair were a mess almost covering her closed eyes, he lifted those bangs behind her ears. She was so beautiful , he caressed her face slowly with his thumb but soon stopped feeling uncomfortable , as he did so Shi smiled.
He sighed, his eyes locked with her closed ones. He heard the noises of people out of his tent talking, it was time to wake up. Shi groaned as Lu Xun was trying to move away, the pressure on his right arm streghtened a bit as Shi grabbed him.
"Good morning, my lady." He said cheerfully patting her grabbing hand.
"Mnhmhamdn." She mumbled saying incomprehensible words.
"Excuse me?" He mused.
"Where are you going." It should have been a question but she was still numb.
"Oh, I am getting up actually, no plans." He answered with both hands up as he was disculping himself then he tried to lift himself but her hand was still grabbing his arm.
"Stay here." It was not a question neither a demand, a simple request, which it was strange from her.
"Why?" He asked amused by her request.
"Because you are warm and soft like a big pillow." Shi replied with eyes closed and a frown.
He chuckled "It's not ladylike to consider people like an object, my lady." The boy pinched slightly her nose.
Her reply was a huff "Uff, you are so annoying, my lord."
"So are you letting me go?" He pleaded jokingly.
"No." She grabbed him with full force and stumbling he fell on her stomach.
"Shi?" He asked dumbfounded.
"Xun you should eat more...You are too slim." Shi changed subject.
"You want me fat?" He asked increduled with both eyes wide open.
Shi grinned "Think of it! I could sleep on you everyday!" Drool forming in the corner of her pink lips.
"You have such great ideas when you are half awake." He said sarcastic, imagining himself fatter.
"It's not like we are gonna do anything today.."She purred, her fingers massaging slowly his brown hair, she knew his weak spots.
"That may be so... But seriously do you want to sleep all the day?" He felt his eyes close slightly as his head was still on her flat stomach. The fact that she was slowly caressing his hair was not helping either.
"Mmm...That's a good plan, strategist.."
He had to think about something or he was going to fall asleep soon, getting out of her grasp Lu Xun said " You know that your aunt, Lady Shiang Xiang is here too?"
"What!?" Shi got up immediatly at his words "Why didn't you tell me earlier?!" She grabbed his shoulders shacking them furiously.
"I thought you knew since we are allied to the Shu army, in this battle." That placated her shacking.
"Oh... True... I must see her !" Shi said smiling brightly, she was so glad to be able to see her aunt again.
" I knew you would get up If I told you that."
"Manipulator, as always. Do you know where she is?"
"If she is like her nephew, I would guess in her tent sleeping." He clearly mocked.
''That can actually be, but I do not know which one..."
"Just ask around." He shrugged.
Shi nodded "Right! Thanks, see ya later." She patted his shoulder and sitted down trying to open the tent.
Lu Xun looked away from the view she was giving him "Shi, put something of mine on, before going out." He said trying not to stutter.
"Uh? Oh. I forgot that I am um...like this. Do you have anything for me?"
"I can give you a shirt...Let me see." He looked at the pile of clothes that stood ordinately in the corner of the tent.
Shi nodded her head gazing at him curiosly 'Hmm...Sure he is ordinated.' She thought about her clothes spread casually in her tent.
''Here.'' He said as he kept the shirt on her level ''Seems good?''
She grabbed the white shirt an put it on without further blabbing, it was so long on her that it seemed a dress "Do I look the beauty that I always am?" Shi boasted smiling.
He tried to fix her hair "Of course, my lady." He smiled too.
And they looked in each others eyes deeply not wanting to gaze away. Shi was confused, if she knew better she'd say they were flirting. And she started it, by the way.
"Hmm...I should go away. Thanks for the shirt, Xun."
''Err..Don't worry.'' He replied back as Shi closed the tent.
She wandered for the all camp looking for her aunt's tent, she asked some Shu soldiers where she was, but they didn't know a thing. She never thought to be seeing her with her bow training- well not at this time of morning that's it.
She tried to sneak behind her but she wanted to hug her so much It's been years since she left.
FLASHBACK:
"Shi! Look at what I bought for you!" A girl runned as fast as light until she reached an another younger girl .
"Auntie!" She greeted childshly and her eyes sparkled at her aunt's surprise.
"Just for you." Shiang Xiang yanked at her nephew, with a grin on her face.
"Whoa!" Shi exlaimed at the present in front of her.
"Like 'em?" The aunt asked seeing her nephew's happiness.
"These..these are weapons!" She stated looking at the two circles that had three blades on each.
"Of course they are, silly." Shiang Xiang patted Shi's head.
"They are so cool! Even if they are kinda heavy..." Well the weapons were bigger than her.
"Hey don't complain! I specificatelly went shopping them just for you..Apparently I shouldn't have." She faked her indignation.
"No-no I didn't mean- I love them!" Shi franically moved her hands believing in her aunt.
Shang Xiang turned with a smile in her face ''Good, they are similiar to mine, so you are already capable of handling them, you just need to get used to their weight.''
Shi nodded "But why did you do a present to me? It's not my birthday"' Shi asked curiously, not that she minded.
Her smile faded and was replaced with a deep frown "Because...It's a good-bye present."
"What do you mean? Where to? Can I come too?" Her exciment visible in her eyes.
"I'm leaving Wu, Shi.." Shiang Xiang explained to the teenage girl.
"That's quite the journey, where are you headed, auntie?" Shi asked not catching what her aunt was explaining.
"No It's...permanently." An apolegetic smile crossed her face.
"What? Where? Why? When?" Shi asked looking straightly in her eyes.
"In Shu." Shiang Xiang sighed, admitting the truth.
"Why?"
"Brother Quan wants to ally Wu with Shu and whats better than a marriage between his sister and their warlord?" She asked sarcastically, chuckling deadly but Shi knew better.
"And you are fine with his decision?" Shi asks speechless in a whisper.
"It's not like I have any choice,I mean lord Liu Bei is a good man...I just wished I knew him more before...this." She smiled sadly to the ground.
"What has happened to my aunt!?" Shi yelled with such force that surprised the daughter of Jiandong's tiger.
"Sh-"She was cutted off by the angry words of her nephew.
"My aunt would never surrounder herself! She would be angry and not sad, she-she would reverse all the world but she would never- !" Shi stopped herself tears forming in the corner of her chocolate eyes.
"I wish I could...Shi..."
"Then why?" Her anger vanished.
"It's already decided, I can't do anything about it, Shi." Shi examined her aunt, her pretty green eyes were clutching hardly and so were her fists, she was trembling.
"When you...you'll go away, auntie?" She was being so selfish. Thinking about herself but what about her aunt? She was sure feeling worse. Marrying a man she saw- what? Once? Twice? Leaving all her family and friends behind to something she didn't know.
Shiang Xiang opened her eyes again "About a week..I think."
Shi pursed her lips. It was so early!
"Then let's spend it like It's last week of our life!" Shi exlaimed, taking her aunt's hands in her smaller ones.
"Mm? How so?" Shiang Xiang inquired feeling better.
"It's up to you!"
I remember that after her departure and marriage, times felt slower. I couldn't train with her anymore, my most precious master. The chats we always had missed and my laugher felt different, at first, without her. I passed time thinking about her well being in Shu, I kept asking if she was treated good there, especially by her husband. I couldn't do much but hope for her sake, although when I asked uncle Quan about news from her, he'd say 'Don't worry she said she's great', that wasn't much of a consolation, she wouln't open herself to him even if there were really troubles, I guessed.
As I stopped my chain of thoughts, I gazed at my aunt as she was, beautiful as ever, time didn't change her a bit. She was concentred on the precision of the arrow in her bow, thinking on how I could show myself up.
Like:
-Me: Yo aunt!
-Aunt: Yo Shi !
*Give five* *Ends*
No-no not good.
How are you supposed to greet someone you don't see in years?
As she threw the arrow I stopped it with my weapon cutting the arrow in a two halfs.
The surprised look on my aunt's face was hilarious.
"Shi!" Shiang Xiang shouted aiming her bow to the younger girl. Shi gulped why was she aiming for her? 'Is she going to kill me?'
"You know, no one blocks my arrows..." Shiang Xiang threatned in a low voice. As she dropped her bow and arrows on the floor I was relived and with amount of strenght she launched herself on me hugging closely.
It almost made me loose her balance but luckily I didn't fall so I hugged her back "Been long time, huh?"
''Been a long time.'' I confirmed, nodding slowly my head. Peaceful silence fell between us, both enjoying each other's company.
As she separeted herself from me, she smiled "You've grown up!" she exlaimed.
"Does that mean that you got older?" The little tiger showed her fangs smirking.
Shiang Xiang gasped "Hey! As if!" She paused " Oh my!"
"What?"
She giggled "You have more boobs than I do!" She winked at me while smirking deviously.
"Auntie!" I exlaimed annoyed covering my chest with my arms feeling suddenly embarassed.
My aunt laughed and I looked back confused. When she stopped she returned 'serious' "I am glad that things didn't change."
"They didn't...really." I muttered, annoyed.
''Mm? Actually something has changed." Sun Shiang Xiang said as she observed her nephew from head to feet and Shi felt nervous under her aunt's gaze.
"What has?"
"The last time I saw you Shi, you couldn't even take the weapons that you are holding now..Also you weren't a warrior."
"Well you missed a few things but not so important...What about you, auntie?"
"Ah ...What can I say about my boring life in Shu castle?" She paused and sighed "Nothing special...of course," Shiang Xiang smiled sadly.
"What do you mean?" Shi sitted on a casual stone.
"What do I mean? I mean that I am always at the castle! I can't go anywhere! Sure there are many places likeable around it but it doesn't go more than that." Shiang Xiang complained.
"Well you're here, right?"
"I am. I wish I could stay though..." Shiang Xiang got closer to her nephew and pinched her cheek.
"Aw!" Shi huffed, she always did this when she was little and Shi hated it.
"C'mon let's go eat! I'm starving." Shiang Xiang changed the subject.
"Lunch is at midday..." Shi said to her, frowning.
"I know it...But we can sneak in the canteen." Shiang Xiang winked at Shi with a devil smirk written in her cute face.
Shi gasped "Now I recognize my beloved aunt!" Shi got up and hugged her.
"Ugh! Someone is a little too much softy." She joked pushing her away both hands on her face.
"Pfff you hugged me first, earlier!"
"You sure it's here?"
The short haired woman scoffed "Puah! You don't believe awesome me?"
"Let's just say that orientation isn't our best skill." Shi commented.
"Ah! What did I tell you?" Finally the girls found what seemed a canteen.
"Now what's our plan?" Shi asked mischievous eyes shining for excitment.
"I say...You entertain the cook and I take something to eat!"
"E-entertain? How?What should I say?" Shi asks franatic.
"Who cares? Invent something!"Pushed by her aunt Shi approached the only cook in it.
"Ehm..Hi!"
The cook stopped doing his work and looked at the girl. Shi was surprised to see a young boy, a novice. The boy looked at her shyly and bowed "M-My lady, good-morning!" His face was so red that she thought it was going to explode.
"Good morning! Ehm...How old are you?" Shi asked trying to sound more comfortable that she could.
"I-I am sixteen, my lady!"
"Oh we are the same age! Why are you a cook then?" Shi already got intrest in this boy, ignoring the fact that simply her gaze was making him nervous.
"M-me? Eheh...I am not a good fighter...and I don't like war so...I became a cook." He bagan making circles on the table shyly. She was doing a great job.
"That doesn't make sense. You are still in war are you not?"
"Maybe...but I'm doing something to support my people." He smiled proud.
Shi smiled too but then her attention went to her aunt that was looking still for food. She had to think about something.
"Y-you know...I could train you!" She blurted out of blue.
"T-train me ? Em...I refuse your kind offer, my lady. As I said I don't like fighting."
"You sure?" She got closer and looked at his slim arms ''You could have bigger muscles, you know...every girl likes men with muscles!" Shi winked making the boy blush in embarassment.
Someone behind her laughed ''Now now never thought that you were that flirty, princess."
She turned around to see Gan Ning grinning at her in a way that made her spine shiver.
"What are you doing here?" Her tone went from sweet to angry in a second.
"Nothin'! " He said innocently yet still grinning.
"Stop smiling!" She yelled angry.
"Why should I?" His grin grew bigger.
"It hits my nerves!" Her voice interrupted by a loud noise.
The cook got closer and saw what happened "Lady Shiang Xiang?" He asked uncertain seeing a woman that resembled her all covered in white flour.
Shi facepalmed herself as they had been discovered miserably.
Shiang Xiang begin to giggle nervously and as soon as she could, took Shi's hand and runned like there was no tomorrow.
"Ah!" She was being dragged away with such haste that scared her.
As soon they were out of trouble the Shu queen begin to laugh naturally "It's been a while since I felt so alive!" She said excited.
Shi joined her ''Really? Just for that?" Shiang Xiang nodded just in response "Is life that bad there?" Shi asked curious and out of breath.
"It's not bad...It's just lonely I guess, all those serious faces!" She chuckled.
"Well...uncle Quan can be a lord of serious faces, you know." The girls chuckled again like two adolescents gossiping about other girls "I missed you, this, what we used to do together." Shi said now serious eyes straight in her aunt's ones.
She smiled back "So did still have to tell me how you did convince Quan to take you in his army!"
"And you have to tell me about your 'love life'!" By the face she did, Shi understood that she touched an embarassing subject.
"And you have to tell me about yours!" Shiang Xiang pointed her with her index finger.
"E-eh? It doesn't exist one! You are the married one here!" Shi kept moving her hands franatically but she couldn't fool anyone.
"Oooh come on! There must be tons of guys after you!" She winked.
"Gah! Let's go back to camp!" The mere thought of his face passed through her mind making it blow. Shi stormed off ignoring her aunt's call.
"We should place troops here and then here, so the Wei's forces fall in to our trap and...'' Someone was explaining pointing on the big map placed on the center of the table.
Lu Xun didn't really care in this moment his mind was somewhere else and around a certain female figure. He shacked his head roughtly since this wasn't the time to think about her. That caught the strategist attention.
"There's something you don't like in my plan, lord Lu Xun?"
"Eh?" Lu Xun snapped out of his trance and received a severe gaze from the strategist "Huh..It is really fine but if I may..." He pointed the map "I would reserve some troops to assault this area because if this strategic area falls Wei's morale would surely decrease." He explained calmly.
He was satisfied when both Lu Meng and Lu Su agreed with him.
'Saved in the corner...I must stop thinking about...that kiss...those soft pink lips against my own...Ugh I need a recover!' His mind wandered again making him blush madly as he tried to cover his flush state with both his hands.
Luckily for him no one noticed this time.
It was lunch time and every soldier gathered in the canteen to eat and get drunk. Shi was there too, but she couldn't approach the cook after what she did earlier it was too embarassing!
''Xun!''She whispered to him grabbing his shirt.
"Shi..? What are you doing...hidden?"
"Ehmm...can you take me some food, please?"
"Eh? Why you can't?"
"Ehehe...I can't beacuse..."
"I can't because I flirted with the cook!" A masculine voice replied laughing.
"You again!" Shi got up making herself notice.
Lu Xun was dumbfounded, not understanding what the two of them were on about.
"What, ain't I saying the truth?" He mocked her with both arms crossed.
"I wasn't flirting with him!" She cried childshly.
"Flirting? With who?" Lu Xun inquired, raising his brows.
Shi gulped, feeling really unease when his eyes looked at her so intensely. Her voice was off her mouth opening and closing ''I'm sorry dude, but she prefers skinny boys it seems!'' Ning put a hand around Lu Xun's shoulder as Lu Xun gazed that boy.
"You mean him?" He studied him in a second, small and skinny boy with brownish short hair that hided his forehead.
"Wha-No! It's just that something embarassing happened between us...so please can you take me some food?"
"Sure...I guess."
"I'll kill you." She shot a death gaze to the pirate, who just smirked more.
Lu Xun got closer to the boy "Sir, can you give me two plate please? Hmm.. I am really hungry."
"Y-yes my lord!"
His gaze moved to her again that was spying him behind a little pillar. She's crazy. And he's crazy to be in love with her.
"Thanks for the food." Shi smiled at him as she took a bite of her meal.
"No problem..." He was distracted again by her lips, which she licked. This was beginning to be an obsession for him. That was wrong. Totally wrong. Couldn't she punch him instead of kissing him? It would have been much better for his mental sanity.
Shi noticed his gaze on her face "What? Got something in the face?"
"No..Can I ask you something...Shi?" He had to ask her even if he knew it was going to hurt him.
"Sure, shoot!" She kept eating.
"Why did you kiss me?" She almost choked from his question.
"W-What..?"
"You heard me." He became serious.
She didn't know how to answer...to distract him? Yeah that was it...right? Oh no, he was looking straightly in her eyes which it meant he was waiting impatiantly for an answer.
"I...I.." She just felt loss of words.
"Shi!" Her eyes snapped in the direction of the femine voice.
"Aunt...?" Her eyes expressed gratitude while Lu Xun sighed defeated. Shiang Xiang didn't the see the boy next to her until she got closer.
"Uh...Did I interrupt something?" She asked noticing the male's deadpan expression.
"Eh? No we are just eating as you can see...eheh"
"I see...Who are you, sir?"
"I am Lu Xun, lady Sun...Don't you remember me?" Lu Xun heard a gasp from Liu Bei's wife.
"What? Lu Xun? You've changed a lot!" She exlaimed amazed remembering the small boy she used to see with her nephew.
"I hope that's a compliment, my lady.." He chuckled.
"Of course it is! You have grown into a handsome man! Don't you think so Shi?" Shiang Xiang smiled smugly to the red-faced girl.
"E-eh...I guess?" That's best she could master with.
"I-I thank you my lady for your kind words." He bowed respectfully. Shiang Xiang nodded to him smiling and then turned her attention to her nephew.
"Hey Shi! " Almost made her jump ''I'm going to see Quan now, wanna tag along?''
"Sure." Thank goodness.
"Well it was good to see you, Lord Lu Xun!" She waved with her hand gaining another bow from Lu Xun, that had his eyes fixed to someone else "Well? Why are you standing there? C'mon!" Snapping out from her thoughs.
"C-coming!" Shi waved to Xun and followed her aunt.
Lu Xun observed Shi going away and he felt a pain in the stomach followed by him sighing in frustration.
"Soooo..." She was beginning it and Shi knew that.
"Just don't say it."
"C'mon! You told me you didn't have a love life, but there is a handsome man after you!" The nudges she received were uncountable.
''He is NOT after me.'' She corrected her aunt. Ok, it was normal that parents to be like this but she doesn't have the patience now.
"Oh please. I could see the way you two look at each other!" Shiang Xiang almost yelled excited.
"Shhh! Not so loud or he could hear you!"
"I see...I'll drop the subject but.." Shi was relieved "but don't be afraid to express your feelings Shi." Shiang Xiang expected her to yell something but she only whispered a 'thanks'
''Quan!'' Shiang Xiang runned in his arms almost knocking the Sun heir.
"Dear sister! It's been a long time.."Shi didn't hear his voice that happy in a while.
"It has been.." She only answered with her head still on his chest. Quan slowly carassed her hair affectionally and smiled against them smelling her hair scent, so familiar.
The family scene in front of her was nice but it lacked someone 'He is not here yet I can see him...Standing behind uncle Quan grinning like he always did, with an arm on uncle Quan's shoulder and another one on aunt Shiang Xiang's back probably saying that they were too emotional...' A ghost smile appeared in the Wu's princess and she began to feel tears in the corner of her chocolate eyes.
"You guys are too emotional, seriously." Shi exlaimed following her father's footsteps.
"It happens when you are away from your sister for too much." Shiang Xiang only stoke her tongue childlishly at her.
"You were about to cry when you saw me!"Liu Bei's wife clearly mocked.
"Not true." She huffed.
Suddenly a soldier bursted in the room adverting the Wu's commander that Shu's strategist lord Zhuge Liang wished to speak him.
"I'm sorry Shiang Xiang, as much as I want to speak with you, I really must-" Sun Quan had a pained expression his face but he really had business to attend to.
"Don't worry I understand, I always did brother." With a hand on his shoulder she said, turning she took Shi by her wrist.
"See you later!" She waved.
Walking away Shi's eyes caught a glimpse of the famous mustached man. His calm expression was scary, that was all she could judge out of it.
"What.. was that?" Shi asked her aunt as soon as she felt her grip on her lower.
"Quan was never one who would spill feels out." She chuckled bitter.
"He missed you." Shi replied convinced.
"I know, I missed him too, but... I guess a part of me can't accept he put me in this position."
"I thought uncle gave you the possibility to choose?"
"He did. That's true." Her green eyes were up at the bright sky.
"But..?"
"How could I have refused with the hope he had in his eyes? The hope for a better future, for an ally to rely on? I could not. I could not deprive Wu that chance, Shi." Shi saw a tear run down her cheek.
"I'm sorry I did not consider it, at that time I've been really selfish. I only thought about my auntie leaving me here, I did not consider your conflicting feelings, I'm so sorry."
Shiang Xiang giggled "With all the shit that happen in times of war, I was lucky to marry a gentleman like Lord Liu Bei really."
"But you don't love him." Shi stated flatly.
"I.. am learning to." Her words were so full of hope and sadness, Shi decided to not object.
She had trained later with Shiang Xiang to wash the sadness away, or at least tried to.
There she was now, gazing the stars and thinking hard.
Could someone really learn to love? She wondered. If you asked her mother when she fell in love with Sun Ce she would answer at first sight, giving you a full description of their first encounter and physical aspect. That was not the case, she guessed. Shi understood that she had not many love stories to analize, she was never intereasted in it anyway, but the phrase of her aunt was stuck in her mind. And recent events didn't help either.
"That serious face scares me, Shi." She suddenly sit at his voice turning her gaze fully "Sorry, did I disturb you?"
"Oh." She blushed "No."
He sitted next to her before lying on the grass.
"Something is wrong?"
Worried. He would always be.
"N-no I ju-ust keep thinking something."
His lips parted to speak but he stopped before being too straight forward- again.
"I'm glad, I didn't see you anywhere. To be honest, I thought I made you angry at lunch."
"Why would I be angry at you?" She was confused, trying to remember their discussion earlier.
"I have been too blunt, I'm sorry I shouldn't have."
"You mean when you asked me abo-out the kiss?" Shi stuttered a bit.
"Y-yeah."
"You had every right to know why I did that, why are you even apologizing ." She was the one who still didn't apologize.
He sat down too, gazing at her intensely again "Then.. answer." His golden eyes shined with the moon rays. These details she noticed just now were not a good gulped closing her eyes thinking the right words for that.
Capturing his stare she spoke "I must say it was an impulse, I did it to get you stunned so I could go on the real battlefield, even if it was a stupid Gan Ning's suggestion at first, in the end I did it, I am truly ashamed, you must be angry to get kissed by someone who you don't..like, forgive me." The fact that it made her heart go crazy, she decided to not say.
The sincerity in her eyes made his heart clench painfully. He knew it was a distraction. But the thought of her not even slighty think he wanted it made him dissapointed.
"Xun..?" The silence that came after made her worry she might have said something bad.
"Stupid." He flicked her forehead.
"What." Was her only reply.
"So it was Gan Ning's suggestion, huh?" He inquired.
"Weeell, yeah! I mean I was surprised too. He said it would totally work, I guess he is good at deceiving people, being a former pirate, altough I can't see him kissing a man to distract him." She giggled.
He knew, many knew about it, it was not difficult to say, really. Master Gan Ning too then. Air was still tense between them he could feel it.
"I..You worried me to death, actually." His voice so gentle made her shiver.
"I'm sorry. I acted stupid, I recognize that. Still! I felt betrayed,"
"But It was only for your wellfare I assure you, my lady. I know you for so long Shi, I've always supported your fighting skills, but marching towards the enemy like that? I shouldn't have let you."
"I guess..I see your point of view, I'm just happy things turned out good, somehow."
"Yeah, you managed good." He patted her head.
"Honestly, no. I've been having nightmares about people I killed. I knew this was no game but..Heavens, this is a hard weight to bear."
Lu Xun looked concerned "I was expecting something like that, I mean...It is normal to feel guilty, but that's just how war is and always will be."
Shi nodded playing with a stray of brown hair and after some silence she asked "Do you think, it is possible to learn to love a person?"
He was confused "Uh...What's with that question?"
"It's something auntie told me, I just keep thinking about it."
"Oh, I see." He paused giving it hard thinking "I'd say that it is. I mean, the more time you spend with a person and the more you see about her, the more you start caring, even if you are total opposites. But I think there other factors to be considered. Also, it is a very subjective matter, so it doesn't exist a right answer for everyone,Shi."
His speech made sense, she sighed.
"Geez, you lifted a weight out of my mind, although I still think of the sadness in her words I now see that there are different types of love, and I hope that she'll fall for good with Liu Bei."
Lu Xun chuckled "I've always thought they looked nicely paired up, even if it was a convenience marriage the two of them match."
"Hmm? How they match?"
"Both of them are skilled, kind hearted, bold warriors. Also Lady Shiang Xiang has a fire in her that even Liu Bei himself admires much."
"Didn't see you as my aunt's fan." She joked, understanding fully his words.
He chuckled "Fan? I just speak what I have seen and heard of her, but I'll get an autograph next time I see her." The brown haired boy joked.
"Hey! I'm still her number one fan though!"
That lightened the mood between them. These are the moments she appreaciates with him. She wondered about her newly found feelings for him and decided to not stimulate them further, they were friends and that's what they should stay. Feelings were only a mess, in a messier world as this.
Hey, God am i late. Anyway found out authors' block sucks. It is hard writing about battles basing myself on the games informations. I'll try my best even if it won't be so great, I assure you. Sorry to dissapoint with this small chapter after two years of pause. I don't even know what turn give this story xD but hopefully won't leave it unfinished!
