Guys, IM BACK! I feel like I haven't posted on this story in so long, and I'm super sorry for that. I was sadly focusing on a new story and forgot about the others. I did have a little bit of writers block for this story about how I would make Sydney react to her mother's death, but I think I have the right story line for that. I hope you all like it and stay tuned!
P.S. There are many of you who like Derek/Sydney and many of you who like Isaac/Sydney. I guess we'll see where this goes, and if you have any story suggestions/comments feel free to review or PM me!
My mom was tending to her wound while my dad talked with Gerard, "She's my wife, Allison and Sydney's mother." "And I'm the cold-hearted patriarch holding his family to their commitments. We all have our roles, just don't expect me to play poison king to your Hamlet of a son. Not with the full moon coming." Gerard spoke, and my dad retorted, "What about the girls? How am I supposed the get them through this? We just buried Kate."
Gerard said calmly, "Tell me, how long is long enough? When exactly do you think Sydney and Allison will be emotionally prepared to handle the death of their mother?" My father looked over his shoulder to my mom, and he whispered, "They can't lose her too." My grandfather then corrected his son, "You're getting your tenses mixed up. Your wife is already dead, that thing over there is just a cocoon waiting to hatch."
Allison pulled up to Matt's house and the boy spoke, "So, about that incredibly bad idea I had..." "You mean the kiss?" Allison guessed, and Matt nodded. Allison felt really guilty, she could see that I liked Matt, at least as a friend. And she also knew that Matt probably only asked her on a date to make me jealous. "Don't worry about it." Allison continued, and Matt cocked his head to the side, "For real?"
The girl nodded and added, "Definitely." Matt rambled on for a second and finally asked Allison, "So, um is there anything going on with Sydney and Lahey? Are they together or what?" Allison looked at Matt with a knowing smile and answered, "Not really." The teen scoffed in reply and spoke, "Not really? I hate not reallys; I don't know what to do with not really."
"You seem to really like my sister, and her life is kinda complicated right now. But, I'd go for it." She advised him, and he replied with, "I'll try." When Matt got out of the car, Allison sighed and breathed on the window. Her heart sank when she saw that Scott didn't leave her a note. My sister was about to leave when she saw that Matt left his camera; she started to look through his pictures and smiled at some of them. Allison's smile dropped when she saw that most of the pictures were of me.
She went through photos of me reading, at the park, and even in my own bedroom. Her eyes widened, and she jumped when she heard a knock on the window of her car. The teen looked up to see Matt who tried to open the car, but it was locked. He looked at my sister darkly, and he mouthed 'Open the window', to which she did. Matt smiled and stated, "Forgot my bag." Allison faked a smile and lied when Matt started talk about the pictures, "Yeah, yeah your lacrosse ones are amazing, you're really talented. I was- I was really impressed."
"There was a good candid of you and your sister in there too." Matt brought up, and Allison feared the boy in front of her, "Really?" She squeaked, and Matt continued, "Yeah, you can see some more if you like. I have some more candids of your sister from school, I think you might be in one or two. A tiny little screen doesn't do it justice, but I could show you some on my computer." Allison tried to come with a good lie on the spot, but she told, "Oh I would totally like that, but maybe another night."
"Well, just for a few minutes?" Matt pestered her, but my sister looked at the clock and stated, "It's getting kind of late." The boy chuckled and pointed out, "It's the weekend." "I know, but you know I-" Her excuse was interrupted by the creepy boy yet again, "And it's spring break. I mean, you don't have a date going on tomorrow, do you?" "I should really get going." Allison almost whispered. When Matt retorted, "You sure?" my sister clarified, "I'm sure."
When Matt nodded and started to back away from the car, Allison quickly rolled up the window and sped away. She needed to find me and she needed to find me now.
Derek made me drive Isaac and Erica back to their houses, and I dropped off Erica first. The girl smiled at me regretfully, and I just swiftly nodded at her. Erica's and my relationship was rocky right now, and when I looked at her, I felt pain in my heart, betrayed. Isaac sat in the passenger seat of my car, and when we left Erica, a silence enveloped. After a minute or two, Isaac was the first to say something, "Look, I'm sorry if I pissed you off by dancing with Erica. We were just trying to distract Jackson."
I kept my eyes on the road and spoke, "Why would I be pissed? You danced with Erica, that's great, good for you." "Okay, should I not be dancing with Erica? Because if I shouldn't be, all you've gotta do is say something. If you don't say something, I'm gonna keep doing it." Isaac replied, and I retorted, "What would I say, Isaac?" The werewolf groaned next to me and responded, "Ugh don't give me that strong willed hunter crap right now, okay? You don't have to be what they tell you to because guess what, you're different than them. You're different then anyone else in this stupid town."
I took my eyes off the road, and was about to give the werewolf a piece of my mind when my phone rang. I connected my phone to my car so I wouldn't have to hold it, and I pressed the answer button when I saw it was Allison. "This isn't really a good time, Allison." I spoke, and I could hear her shaky breaths on the other line, "Sydney, where are you? I'm in your room, and I need to talk to you now." "Allison, what's wrong? You're scaring me." I asked her, and earned a look from Isaac. "Sydney, I am so sorry for going to the rave with Matt. He asked me to make you jealous, and I had to get rid of him so I could talk to Jackson." My sister apologized quickly, and I forgave her, "Ally, it's okay. Now, tell me what's going on."
I turned onto Isaac's street as my sister started to speak, "I was took Matt home from the rave, and I was gonna leave but he left his bag in my car. His camera fell out of the bag, and I snooped through it. But, I saw..." My sister trailed off for a moment, and that's when I pulled into Isaac's driveway. Isaac didn't get out of the car, though, and I asked my sister, "Allison, what did you see?" I could hear my sister breathe heavily before answering, "Pictures of you. A lot of them. You were at your locker, reading outside, and he took a lot of you in your bedroom."
"What? If this is a joke, Ally, I swear..." I told her, and I could sense Isaac's uneasiness next to me. "No, it's the truth, I swear. We should tell dad or someone about this, get a restraining order or something." My sister spoke, and I stopped her by interrupting, "Allison, hey, I'll be home in a few minutes and we can talk about it then. Okay? Bye." I pressed the end call button on my phone and Allison voice was cut off from the car. "I'll see you tomorrow, Isaac." I bid him goodbye, and he gave me an 'are you kidding?' look. I stared at him back, and he finally gave up, but not before squeezing my hand.
The next day, Allison, Lydia, and I were hanging out in Allison's bedroom and looking at the dressed Lydia bought for the party. I was about to leave and help out Derek chain the werewolves up for the full moon, but my mom knocked on the door. Lydia showed her the dress, but my mom simply said, "It's lovely. Allison and Sydney, could I grab you for a moment to talk, just the three of us?" Allison nodded at her, but I replied, "I was actually about to leave for a few hours."
"Party's at 10." Lydia supplied, and my mom asked me, "You'll be back before then?" I nodded and replied, "I think so, I don't know." My mom smiled at Allison who followed her into the next room, while I said goodbye and happy birthday to Lydia. I would see her tonight, though as well, but you could never say happy birthday enough around the red head.
I stood in the abandoned subway car next to Derek. The three betas in front of us were nervous, and Boyd asked, "What if we break free?" Derek answered him, "You'll do anything you can to get out of here. You'll probably try to kill me and then each other and anything else with a heartbeat which is why Sydney will not be staying." I glared at him when he said that, I could protect myself.
I held Erica's headband in my hands and ordered Isaac, "I need you to hold her." He did as he was told and asked, "So how come she gets to wear the headband?" I answered him, "Because she'll be able to withstand more pain than the two of you." Erica laughed a little, and Derek offered to Isaac, "We've got an extra one if you really want it." I laughed a little at the face Isaac made when he stated, "I'll pass."
Looking into Erica's eyes, I asked, "You ready?" When she nodded, I proceeded to put the headband on her and twist the screw into her head. The two betas winced at the terrified screams coming from the girl in pain, but Derek and I remained indifferent. After I started to chain up Boyd, Erica started to turn. I looked up to Boyd and saw that he was trying to control himself, but it wasn't really working. Derek then grabbed my arm and turned me around to face him. "Time to go." He said, and he proceeded to push me out of the subway car.
I sent Isaac a sympathetic glance and smile, and he gave me an extremely fake one back. I rolled my eyes and exclaimed as I got to the door, "Derek, you're such a Neanderthal!" "Goodbye now!" He replied, and then gave me one final push out of the way. I huffed before giving up and going to the party.
Once I got there, I immediately started to look for my sister or Lydia. Little did I know, Allison and my stalker were talking in one of the bedrooms upstairs. "You get two minutes." Allison told him, and when Matt tried to close the doors, Allison sent him a glare. "Okay, so, I know I took some pictures of your sister that I should have told her or you about. But, is it really that bad that I think she's beautiful? And I think she should be the subject of a perfect photograph." The boy tried to plead his case, but Allison told him the truth.
"Um, Matt, some of those pictures- I don't even know how you took them." She spoke, and Matt scoffed, "It's a great lens, c'mon Allison. Photographers call them candids." "Well, police officers call it stalking." Allison shot back, and this seemed to anger the teen. Allison saw a pair of familiar boots walk through the hall, and the person held a bow in their hands.
"Stalking, I'm a stalker now, is that it? You think my bedroom is wallpapered with your sister's photos, and that I'm the kind of guy who's gonna say something like 'If I can't have her, no one can'? Oh, well, get over yourself because this doesn't involve you, and there's another pretty girl walking through that door every 5 minutes." Matt seemed to feel guilty after saying that, but Allison just put her hands up and spoke, "Well, all you have to do is wait another three."
Matt then proceeded to grab my sister's arm, but she used one of the moves I showed her and pushed Matt to the ground. My twin apologized, even though I told her to never apologize for being a badass. Allison shuffled out of the room, but she stopped when she saw a hooded figure walking towards her, "Please, no, not here. Scott!" She called for her boyfriend, but the hooded figure made themselves known.
Allison got shot in the stomach, and she breathed heavily and stared at her wound. Slowly, she looked up to see me standing before her clad in black. I still had my bow pointed at her, and I spoke, "Look at you, yelling for help. Always yelling for help, it's pathetic, Allison. Do you know how embarrassing it is to be related to someone who can't even protect herself? And you call yourself a hunter, but you're nothing but a weak little girl. I've always had to take care of you, Allison, and it's exhausting. You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this." My sister braced for impact, but it never came. She looked around for me, but I was downstairs looking for her.
Lydia came up behind me and handed me a drink. She looked at me expectantly, and I smiled and raised the glass in appreciation. I just stared at the pink beverage in my hand, and when Lydia walked away, my smile fell and I dumped the full drink in the trash. Nothing good would come from drinking that.
"I didn't get a chance to talk to her. I told Allison everything, and I sent her off to the party. She doesn't need to see this. I wanna do it here, in Sydney's room, where I can be with her. I think I'm gonna need your help." My mom admitted to my father, they both sat on my bed. My mother stared at the moon as she pressed the knife to her ribcage. My dad stopped her, though, and she argued, "I can feel it, it's happening. You know what to do, you know what to tell people. Tell them I had a history of depression, promise me."
"I will even though I've never seen you depressed once in twenty years." My father promised, and he let my mom continue, "The girls need to say it too." "But I won't let them believe it." My dad argued, and my mother spoke, "They'll hear things. People will say I was weak, that I took the easy way out." He countered, "I'll tell them it was the hardest thing you ever did." "People will ask, 'How could I do this to my family?' I told Allison everything, but Sydney has no idea." She admitted with tears in her eyes.
My dad was about to cry as he told, "I'll tell them both that you did it for us." My mother nodded, and my dad kissed her cheek. She lined up the knife to her heart, but she stopped and pleaded, "I can't do this myself. Chris, help me." He did as she told, and my mom spoke, "Now." They both pushed the knife into her heart with tears streaming down their faces.
I made it to the hospital as fast as I could. Scott told me that Allison left the party early, and once I got the phone call from my dad, I knew that something was definitely wrong. Walking out of the elevator, I saw my dad talking to a cop. But, as I looked past him, I witnessed Allison crying over a covered body. "No." I gasped and shook my head. Tears came to me eyes, and I repeated, "No, dad." I slowly stalked forwards, and I could see Allison look up, most likely hearing my voice.
My dad started to walk towards me, but I waved my hand, "No, Dad, if this is some kind of sick training session you better tell me!" I was in near hysterics after my dad hugged me and said, "I'm sorry." "What happened?" I repeated, and my dad just apologized over and over until I wept on his shoulder and hugged him back. As tears cascaded down my face, a rage started to build up in Allison. A rage that was geared directly towards Derek and his pack.
