Hey guys back with a long and all new chapter! As usual you are awesome and always so helpful! Thank you for reading I can't wait to hear what you think!

Special thanks to Caritobear. :))

"Good night," she said as her eyes traveled his face, the lines on his forehead and the pores of his cheeks and chin. Caroline's fingers trailing over the small hairs covering half of Klaus' face in favor of her with a smile as she looks over him.

"Sleep tight, Sweetheart," he responds in return his hand moving to interlock with her own over his face giving it a gentle squeeze. She made a contented sound in response and honestly Klaus could not think of a thing that was better than this.

She cuddled into his side pressing herself closer into him pressing herself over him needing to feel them closer and still unable to get close enough to be comfortable. His warmth overtaking Caroline's need for sleep as she pressed her mouth to his neck missing the intimacy they once shared.

Klaus grunted into her hair panting with every move she took, "You shouldn't do that," with a light warning his hands gliding down her spine in a weak hold. His fingers began tracing imaginary lines his grip tightening infesmatically every time her lips came into contact with his skin.

Caroline kissed his neck once more softer the next time before she spoke, "Why not," she murmured as she tilted her head to the side resting it on the edge of his pillow. Klaus grinned his eyes shown bright in the darkened room.

His leg moved to between her thighs entangling them further as he licked his lips amazed at how amazing it felt to just lie with her. The most innocent of things to do, "Because I'll be forced to retaliate," he answered back his hands resting at her sides just at the curve of her waist as she entangled their legs.

Caroline wished for this, moments like this with him and the idea that her wish was coming true made her heart tightened in her chest. "I'm not afraid of you," she snickered as he kissed the tip of her nose certain his smirk was because he could hear her heartbeat.

"On the contrary Love," he said lovingly, his fingers lightly tickling her as he moved to lean over her, "I just might excite you instead." She felt her hands tremble in his as he spoke these ordinary words that held so much promise when she looked into his eyes.

Caroline tensed her smile still plastered on her face as his smile grew, "Well that the idea," she whispered Klaus responded by flipping her over so he was hovering her body making her bite her lip at the look in his eye.

"I keep finding reasons to like you more and more my wife," he muttered against her lips his eyes locked to hers with genuine emotion dancing in his heart wishing she could feel just how hard his heart was pounding in his chest. Wishing he could figure out how she made his body react like that.

Intrigued she leaned her face closer to him, "Like what," she asked curiously nervously picking at her lips with her fingers. It was an old habit that had never faded even into adulthood kind of like not knowing how to cook and feeling nervous around hot boys like her husband.

Klaus removed her hand, "Like that thing you do with your lips and your teeth," she flushed at that remark, "That little scrunch you do with your nose when you don't like something," she responded with hat action and his heart fluttered his hand coming over the front of her trailing over her stomach making him smirk, "That chill down your spine that shakes you every single time I touch you."

Caroline hit his arm with an amused look on her face hating how easily he could get a response from her and her body, "I like that look in your eye you get when I tell you we'll figure this out." Klaus whispered gently as he trailed his hand back up to her face his fingers adoringly caressing her jaw line.

Caroline lowered her chin his finger moving to her mouth where she playfully bit him without thinking watching his eyes widen before she answered him, "Its focus," she told him upon releasing his finger, "Determination." She winked at him.

Klaus moved to kiss her lips cradling her face in his hand as he moved against her along her side, "Whatever it is," he responded kissing her longer the second time, "It drives me," he tells her breathlessly.

"Good," she told him yawning as he chuckled pulling her closer as he lie back down next to her into their former position her hand on his chest as his fingers played with her metal band that matched his the metal clicking when they met.

"Now get some sleep," he said hoping to help her get some much needed sleep tonight hoping to find a way to make her fall in love with him again tomorrow. His mind seemed to freeze at that notion realizing he hadn't stopped smiling since they began kissing. He shut his eyes with the promise of his girl in his arms the next morning.

Klaus' mind swirled into darkness making his chest hurt as he relived it once more the day of their accident, Henrik's laughter turning into sharp pains. He remembered holding his hand as he tried to pull him away from the wreckage alive holding him to his body trying to keep him warm. "It's not your fault, he whispered to his big brother, "I wanted to," were his last words to him.

Klaus woke up hitting his head on the side table as he jerked trying to move off of the bed the heat rising in his body getting the best of him. His head pounded as he reached to touch where it had hit the corner of the table. His fingers felt wet looking at them he saw red, just a hint of smeared blood. The air stung as soon as it registered to him that he had hurt himself.

He rose up from the bed without thinking his hand sinking into the bed as he did, "Nik," he turned his head to look at her sleeping state as Caroline mumbled half asleep her hand clumsily reaching out for him to take before she gave up.

He leaned over the bed, "Go back to bed Love," he whispered swiftly pressing a kiss to her forehead, "I'm just going to get some water." She nodded into his pillow hugging her own as he tucked her back in. It didn't hit him until he shut the door behind him what he had been dreaming of.

Klaus had remembered something, something from his past.

Elijah disliked the idea of what he was about to do but he could not sleep for more than a few hours the last few evenings with the empty side of his bed mocking. His hand involuntarily moved to his left knowing that Kat belonged there instead of the rest of his cold empty sheets.

Brushing his teeth he reminded himself to remember to shut off the coffee machine Kat had brought here. He spit into the sink knowing he should have just disconnected it knowing the coffee beans would once again be wasted since he drank tea with two lumps of sugar but he couldn't bring himself to.

He missed her he wouldn't admit that to her either but he did and needed her back her with him so in order to do that he had to do the right thing. Elijah started his day early dressing himself in his best suit after deciding on something very important. He was going to tell Niklaus the truth this morning or he wouldn't sleep a wink tonight.

He got into his car deciding against telling his mother until after the deed had been done he drove in silence his mind focused on how to articulate what he meant to tell his younger brother. He steadily drove through the main roads and back roads finding a quick passage to his brother's home.

He could only hope there wouldn't be another fight in Klaus' dining room because he would hate to have to do something so juvenile. He would hope Klaus could settle this calmly like a gentleman not a barbarian.

He checked his watch realizing it was entirely too early to visit anyone and decided to wait for a moment in his car until the little hand on his watch stuck at eight am. He saw movement in one of the upstairs curtains it was the first time he felt guilty for not saying anything to his brother or his wife about this.

He promptly got out of his car shutting the door while trying not to take out his frustrations on the automobile. Striding to the front door he found the spare quickly letting himself in tucking the key into his front suit jacket pocket he didn't have to look far for his younger brother.

"Niklaus," he greeted starkly with a nod when he saw him Niklaus looked a little bit surprised to see him but not upset. Elijah didn't know if he was actually doing the right thing but he was certain it was out of his hands and up to Niklaus on what would happen moving forward.

"Yes Elijah," Klaus said without greeting concerned that something might have happened that Elijah was about to tell him. He had an air of disillusion about him that didn't sit very well with Klaus knowing Elijah fairly well he could tell he might not like what he was about to say.

"There's something you need to know memory or no," his brother started looking more serious than usual the air becoming thinner making Klaus' eyebrows meet when he noticed the lines around his older brother's face deepening into grim lines.

He thought he might help relieve Elijah by admitting something to him, "Actually about that," Klaus chose this moment to interject and tell him about his recent discovery. His brother seemed to have other plans looking at him sharply for interrupting him.

"Niklaus, please, just let me say it," Elijah said cutting him off with a slight movement of his hand the words he had prepared on the way here lost on his tongue. He felt the weight of what he was about to expose to Niklaus rise and multiply the longer it took to get it out.

Confused he allowed his older brother to continue on with what he felt he needed to say having the inkling that it would weigh on him as well. "Go ahead," Klaus said backing off for the moment letting his brother have the floor.

"Mother and I thought," Elijah cleared his throat gathering his courage, "That it would be best if you and well Caroline stayed away from one another for the time being." Klaus moved forward and Elijah's hands came up defensively his eyes pleading with his younger brother to let him finish. "Because we were planning on having you two decide what was truly best for you both."

Klaus figured he meant from their first conversation when he had awoken to find himself married and years in the future. He still had his qualms about it but he knew better than to start a fight especially after the mornings events he was still feeling raw from it all, "Elijah," he said calmly if not confusedly.

"I know it sounds bad but we truly had your best interest at heart," Elijah explained taking the manila folder from the inside of his jacket to show him the papers with his name along with Caroline's. "The divorce papers were prepared already as Caroline had requested the day after you met."

Klaus frowned at that little nugget of knowledge people had neglected to let him in on until now. "I tried to prolong it as did Kat but Marcel finally showed his face with the damned copy or your marriage license," Elijah admitted feeling as if he had let his brother down.

"Marcel?" he asked recalling the night of his wedding to Caroline Marcel excited to meet the blonde that had stolen his heart in a matter of mere hours. More pieces clicked in his mind, their day of adventure and the reason his hand was injured before the accident became apparent.

Klaus was certain he now remembered everything his hands rubbing his temples as he hit the back wall processing Elijah's words, "Will you just," Klaus held back now unsure whether or not he could tell Elijah about his memory.

"I was planning on letting Caroline know this at some point but with you in a sleep," he put delicately gesturing to his younger brother. His posture becoming awkward a sight he was certain Niklaus had so rarely seen before in his life.

Klaus groaned, "You can say coma Elijah." he removed his hands from his face turning his back on him feeling his older brother come closer as he moved back to face him. "Saying the word doesn't mean I'll slip back into one."

"Nevertheless," Elijah said, "I felt it impertinent at the time and when you woke it seemed that was still a bad time. Then you awoke with no memory as if things couldn't get worse," he mumbled lost in his own incoherent thoughts.

"Elijah." Klaus said impatiently rubbing his face as he fought to keep his emotions at bay long enough for Elijah to get to the point. It had already been a long morning but he knew that the day had just started.

"I'm not saying it is your fault Niklaus," Elijah quickly clarified, "I meant that I know you couldn't help the circumstances." He told him feeling just a tad bit safer without the dangerous look in his brothers eyes pointed directly at him. "I just meant that there were more pressing matters to take care of than legal papers."

Klaus decided against telling Elijah about his returned memory right after this moment shaking his head he looked out of the window on his left, "Elijah," his brother looked up as Klaus looked back at him, "Could please leave."

"Excuse me," Elijah replied astonished at how well his younger brother was taking the news of how he and his mother had essentially kept him in the dark about his own past.

"Leave," Klaus said with an obvious look in his eyes not wanting to have his brother here when he was on the brink of telling his wife the truth and feeling odd about it. "Don't come back until this evening. I have things to do," he simply said hitting his fist into his palm absently.

"But I was," Elijah started stumped at why his brother was acting this way it was clear to him he was for now unwelcome the reason however was as uncertain as ever.

"I understand why you felt the need to," Klaus searched his mind for the right word, "To protect me but I'm a grown man and memory or not I can make my own decisions." He looked his brother dead in the eye, "Right or wrong your job as my brother is to support me. So go," he said with finality.

"Right," Elijah said accepting this for now as it was better than being punched though with his brother's silence he might have preferred the blow to his face.

"Bye." Klaus said redundantly.

"Until tonight then," his brother said filling the silence as they stood awkwardly.

"Tonight," Klaus affirmed before Elijah began moving away from his sight.

"Well look who we have here," Damon said as he entered the closest bar to the hotel he was staying in with Elena and Bonnie needing a breather. He was pleasantly surprised to find his old watering hole with some of the old familiar faces as he sat next to the brunette man currently nursing his drink by the blonde bartender.

"Go away Damon," the man said briskly nursing the glass in his hand his laid back attitude shifting from just that to one on alert and thoroughly annoyed at being disturbed. He lifted his brow his lip turning up unamused by Damon wanting nothing more than to see him disappear from view.

Damon was used to the treatment knowing in his life he was always reaping the seeds he sowed in his youth. In a moment of clarity he thought about how Elena had changed all that and he would have to admit that he loved her all the more for it.

"Is that anyway to treat an old friend," the Salvatore said patting the man's back in a friendly gesture earning a hard glare from him instead of a smile. "Come on Enzo." He gave him his best puppy eyes blinking three times before he sat back in his chair at the bar.

Enzo turned to him shifting annoyed at the man's persistence his glare still very apparent, "It is when said old friend leaves a man for dead," his voice was deathly quiet the night still very clear in his mind. The barkeep had heard him stopping his work to look at Damon before he shook his head and walked away leaving them to talk.

Damon shrugged waving away the guilt he felt for just a second as he began removing his hand from the man's arm, "It wasn't that bad," he countered with a crooked smile. The response he got was one he had expected having heard it already multiple times over the years.

The man choked on his drink, "You set me on fire," he maintained his sharp and indignant attitude saying he was done with the conversation but that was where Damon shined. He could only roll his eyes hoping his ears could drown out the musings of the self-absorbed Salvatore.

Damon thought back to the night in question remembering it vividly as it flashed through his mind, "It was initiation night and I had to prove myself," he said hitting his chest before he ordered the same drink as his old friend.

"By setting the building on fire," Enzo answered back stiffly as he cast a disbelieving stare at the Salvatore polishing off his drink and standing up to go after paying the barkeep. He shook his head wondering how he ever though they were friends.

Watching Enzo prepared to leave Damon knew it just wasn't his day but he had no one else to talk to his brother and girlfriend both exasperated with him. "It was an accident." Damon responded chugging down his drink, "I got you out in the end," he reminded the man with a tilt of his head.

"And I still didn't make the fraternity," Enzo said bitterly knowing it was petty to think of it even now after all the things that happened that night. Pulling on his Jacket before looking at Damon he sneered, "But you did."

Damon waved him off, "It wasn't that great anyway," he told him remembering he had only joined because the fraternity house was next to Kat's old dorm.

Stefan looked at the now crowded room filled with white and yellow balloons hiding the ceiling from them with an odd look on his face. He looked back down to where his girlfriend was busily applying more helium to yet another balloon they didn't have room for.

He walked closer to his girlfriend, her face red from work a little sweaty and little to no makeup but to him she was as beautiful as ever. "Rebekah I think this is a bit much," he said not knowing if she would like what he said or not she turned her head to him smiling.

She gave him a wicked Mikaelson smile, "Nonsense," she said after breathing in some helium from the balloons she had been blowing up making Stefan laugh as he came towards her making her let go of the balloon without tying it.

"I love you," he told her laughter in his voice as the balloon swirled the area around them with a loud noise letting them know the air was leaving the inside of it. Stefan placed messy kisses to her perfect mouth enjoying their morning together alone.

"I know," she responded feeling her cheeks warm as she felt her heart speed up just like every time he said it. His shoes met the tips of hers as they swayed slowly and she held him closer by his neck her arms wrapped around him as he held her back.

Stefan had been waiting for the right time, the right moment and none ever seemed to appear to him. In this moment he decided to make it happen, he was more in love with her than ever and there was nothing that could stop his happiness. "Marry me," he murmured kissing her again.

Rebekah was lost in a flurry of emotions before he even uttered the words enjoying the way he made her feel with a simple touch or look that she barley heard him. "What," she said surprised unclear if she had heard him correctly he looked at her letting go of her as he moved away.

"Marry me," Stefan repeated getting down on one knee his hand going to the ring that had been sitting in his pocket for so long. He held his breath memorizing the look on her face for as long as he would be allowed to live.

She grinned making his heart stop without hesitation she answered his question, "Yes," she said quickly joining him on her knees. Stefan felt her hand moving to his face instead of the ring pressing a hard kiss to his lips asking him to respond to her.

He sighed as she moaned into his mouth, "Good," he murmured when she let him go with a smile, "Because there was no other way to come back from that." Stefan said before crushing his lips to hers once more.

Bonnie sighed pleasantly waking up another morning in paradise with his arms around her waist and his lips working diligently at her neck just above her collarbone, "Kol," she hummed in delight as he playfully nipped at her skin.

Kol smiled pleased with himself more than ever as he felt her squirm next him his day getting better and better the longer she lay alongside him he pressed his lips against her warm skin as a reply. "Yes Darling," he murmured his tongue darting out to sooth her flesh earning himself a whimper from her lips her grip on him growing tighter.

Bonnie shut her eyes again unbelieving how close her and Kol had gotten in the last few weeks, she had never met anyone like him before. The idea that she was waking up to him every day for the duration of her stay here still brought a smile to her lips despite the stupid thing he did or said around her. "We'll have to get up eventually," she told him in no hurry to actually move but he didn't need to know that.

Kol moved to his side pressing into her needing to feel closer to her his hand reaching underneath her to move her just as he wanted her to be, "I'm already up," he purred against her neck as her hand went to his chest applying a slight pressure.

Bonnie reluctantly smiled shaking her head softly, "That's not what I meant," she said his own smile lifting at the corners. She was dazzled by him, the way he snuck up on her was intense and now she wasn't certain what would happen but she was giddy to find out.

Kol's thumb slid across her lips adoring the look on her face wanting so very much to kiss and tease her but enjoying her company just the same amount. He just had to kiss her before responding to her trying words enjoying the taste of her in his mouth.

"I know but why waste it," he retorted softly as he moved himself above her under their already rustled sheets her hands automatically coming to his neck like he enjoyed as she arched her back pressing herself to him.

"Last time," She warned weakly as his hands slid lower on her body, "And then we have to go help Rebekah and Elena," she told him fully intending on getting out of bed before noon today that was if she could help it.

Kol grimaced shaking his head as he kissed her, "Please don't say my sisters name in bed," Which only made her laugh his lips turning that laughter into pleasurable sighs the longer he continued his morning ritual with her.

She stood in another sundress even though the weather seeming to change every five seconds which was something she knew she would have to accustom to. She leaned her head on the window frame watching the people outside work their magic when she heard him enter their bedroom.

"There are a lot of people about to come into our home," Caroline said looking away from the window as he came in further with breakfast on a tray making her smile. She kept her place there by the window one knee on the cushioned bench and the other standing on the floor.

Klaus shut the door behind him placing the tray over on the bed as he watched her enjoying her stance with her back to him her frame lovely as ever. "I have no doubt my sister had something to do with that fact," he remarked as he took steps to be closer to her.

She sighed as she felt him coming from behind her to kiss her shoulder her hand automatically coming up to wrap around his neck. "I have something to tell you," he whispered excitedly as he wrapped his arms around her squeezing her before loosening his hold as he too watched the small crowd outside enjoying the moment.

"Oh breakfast," they heard from behind them from a familiar voice to them both Klaus wielding his jaw shut even though his eyes looked menacing. In the next instant Kol was flying through the air landing on their disheveled mattress. "Lovely," he complimented digging into Klaus homemade meal.

Klaus let go of his beautiful wife with a kiss on her cheek before her moved in front of here talking to his younger brother. "That wasn't for you," he grumbled as she laughed from behind him her hand coming to his interlocking them.

"Kol get your feet off of my bed before I let Nik hang you off of the balcony," Caroline said with a warning enjoying the light laughter coming from Klaus' mouth. Even Kol looked a bit stunned at the sound dropping a piece of fruit in his hand.

Klaus seemed to perk up at the idea but Kol put his feet down soon after sitting up on the bed making him stop laughing but his smile was still present. "Fine," Kol sighed gesturing to the plate, "But this is mine," he said licking the strawberries on the fruit platter before dipping his finger into the oatmeal.

"Ew," she said burying her face in Klaus' muscled arm her own smile still intact, "Have it." Caroline whined waving him down. "Why are you guys here so early?" she asked him when Klaus pulled her closer to him wrapping their interlocked hands behind her back as he held her.

"Because Bekah has decided to go and get herself engaged this morning," Kol said in a bored tone informing them of the morning's events, "So now we have to plan everything faster so that we can celebrate sooner."

"Bekah is engaged," Klaus asked as Caroline barely managed to keep her composure her eyes telling him she was excited at the idea of something to celebrate. That would mean there would be less attention on them tonight and more moments to slip away unseen.

Kol shrugged with a slight eye roll even though inside he was just as concerned about his sister as Klaus looked. "Yes," he answered Klaus' inquiring look. "To the dear old boy to Stefan, your university mate." He remarked as he moved to stand.

Klaus felt Caroline's other hand come up to his forearm and rub gentle soothing circles with her fingers relaxing him, "Shouldn't he have, I don't know asked me for her hand?" he asked a bit confused about their family dynamics even with his memory intact.

He and Elijah were technically the ones who raised her and Kol while their mother was building her company to get out of under Mikael's thumb. Kol spoke distracting him, "Her what?" he said with his eyebrow arched questioning his older brother's sanity.

"Or Elijah for that matter," Klaus said not backing down as his eyes searched for answers in the carpet his stare drifting to his wife's bare feet before he remembered himself. He hadn't asked anyone of his siblings if they like Caroline before he married her and they loved her anyway.

Stefan had been part of their family for a long time before any of this had ever occurred and deep down he was happy for his baby sister knowing not just any man would do for her. He was also glad that man could be known as his best friend. As he thought this he hadn't realized he had grown quiet as had the room until Kol spoke again.

"He's completely bonkers," Kol whispered to Caroline eyeing Klaus, "Because you're my new sister I'm going to give you the chance to run far away from the crazy man." He joked as she hit him hard still holding onto Klaus' hand.

"He's a big brother," Caroline said defending him as she knit her eyebrows concerned with Klaus' odd look especially when he started to smile again. She wondered what was going on in that head of his and if he might let her in on it.

"How would you know what that's like," Kol asked his attention on her as he spoke ignoring Klaus altogether, "You're an only child," he pointed out remembering her mother saying she and Caroline's father had divorced and her mother had never bore other children.

Klaus returned to earth at that moment clutching the collar of his younger brother's shirt, "Say another word and I'll be forced to remove you from this planet." Klaus warned him with a glare making Caroline smile up at him sweetly.

Kol straightened out his shirt indignant, "Fine, I know where I'm not wanted and I daresay the company downstairs is much better," Kol huffed leaving with their breakfast to find his latest obsession. "Bonnie!" he called down the stairs.

"Oh Bonnie's here," Caroline said taking a step towards the door excitedly only to have Klaus' hand still in hers pull her back to him with a spin. He caught her swiftly her hair flipping with the motion hitting his chest before falling down her back.

She smiled at him as he let her go she stood on her tippy toes to press a small kiss to his lips before she escaped his grasp eager to find her friend. "Caroline wait," Klaus called but she was already gone, "There's something I have to tell you…" his words of confession floating into the room that would be empty if he wasn't still inside of it.

Caroline took the stars holding on to the railing so she might come down faster as she saw her friend coming back inside Kol trailing after her the look of glee on his face at the sight of her. The blonde smiled down watching them wondering if they might be in love when she made it to the second to the last step her view was blocked.

A man she had never met before but yet somehow seemed familiar to her came before stopping at the foot of the stairs with a greeting smile on his face. She looked around him over at Bonnie who seemed just as unimpressed by him, "Who's this," she asked pointing to the stranger in her home.

The man took it upon himself to answer taking her outstretched hand and kissing the back of it, "Enzo my lovely," he replied smoothly. He had never seen quite a woman like the vision before him a quick look at her and told him she was taken but it didn't for a second pause his attraction for her.

Caroline grimaced snatching her hand away from his hold as she felt an icky chill run through her, "Don't kiss my hand." She told him fairly before she sidestepped him thankful he didn't try to snap back even though she felt his eyes on her back.

"Right," he said in a low voice though everyone hear him Kol eyeing him behind her with a devilish look that told him to stay away. Caroline smiled in appreciation to him as Bonnie hugged his right arm leaning her head against his shoulder.

Caroline looked around the room thankful the party helpers were coming in and out setting her boxes into a room on the second floor away from where their party was going to take place. "And Elena," she asked looking outside only to find her answer by the front fountain.

"She's busy making up with Damon," Kol offered as he embraced her friend taking another bite of fruit from her breakfast tray. She wanted to laugh it was so odd seeing both Bonnie and Kol like this it was as if they were wielded at the hip to one another.

"They're totally making out by your rose bushes," bonnie supplied as Kol fed her some oatmeal with dried cranberries and almonds making Caroline's stomach grumble. "Do you want some?" she asked her friend, "It's really good." Caroline shook her head no.

"Who's hungry?" Rebekah said rhetorically as she knew everyone would be. There was only so much food in the house that she had left for Klaus and Caroline to eat from. Waltzing right in the front door with Stefan right behind her carrying carry out paper bags he stopped next to Caroline.

"I am!" Kol shouted handing Bonnie the leftover oatmeal to make a grab for the paper bags Stefan was passing to Caroline and Enzo. He swiped the one Enzo had making the man frown not that he cared as he peeked inside dipping his hand in.

"You ate already," Bonnie told him reaching for the bag before he moved back not willing to give up its contents until he knew what was inside.

"Bonnie not in front of my family," he said with a wink earning disgusted glares from everyone as he unwrapped the wax paper the aroma of food filling the room.

"Not funny," said Stefan taking the bag Kol had in his hand away not appreciating the way he was talking about one of his childhood friends whom he thought of as a sister. "You'll get this back when you behave yourself."

Kol puffed out his chest pouting as he crossed his arms moving to walk away, "Fine then," he said once more making Caroline roll her eyes at him as he passed, "I know…"

She interjected before he could finish off his sentence, "'Where you're not wanted.' We get it," Caroline finished for him stifling a giggle as he shook his head disappointedly.

"Caroline here's the thing," Klaus said with severity, "I remember everything," his hand rubbed at his eyes wondering how he had gone almost the whole morning without being earnest with her. "No don't say that, that's sounds odd.' He said to himself.

He took to pacing trying to calm his anxiety his pills looking really good right about now but instead he steeled himself looking directly at the full length mirror as he practiced, "Caroline, no Love," he winced, "Sweetheart?" he groaned sitting at the foot of their bed.

"Everything was going great," he whined to himself, "I couldn't have gotten my memory back at the worst time," Klaus said aloud not noticing Kol was there as he tossed himself on his back his hands landing on his chest.

"You remember," Kol's voice made his eyes shoot up along with his body which ached in complaint after Kol stood at his doorway his hands in front of him, "Relax I just wanted to talk." Kol said trying his best to make Klaus seem more comfortable around him.

"Maybe," Klaus replied looking down at his hands ashamed at being caught and not even by his wife but by his busybody brother. Turning his head to look at Kol who had appeared at his doorway just in time to hear his untimely confession he kept his face void of any emotion.

"You haven't told her," Kol said coming to the conclusion on his own walking inside of his room without consent keeping his voice low so the people down stairs couldn't hear them. Klaus eyes his slow movements with caution knowing Kol could just as easily run back down stairs and expose him.

"No," Klaus confessed feeling only minuscule better at someone else knowing other than him it was an odd situation to be in he knew that was a given. He sighed gruffly as Kol came to sit next to him looking as concerned as Klaus had ever seen him, no feigned interest just genuine worry.

Kol opened his mouth to speak only to shut it a moment later turning to look at his older brother, he opened his mouth again, "Do you plan to," he asked worried that Klaus might not answer the right way and might do something stupid instead.

"Yes obviously," Klaus said looking insulted yet still very much ashamed for all that had transpired, he was getting all sorts of visits from people he was related to today. First Henrik and then Elijah's little announcement and Kol was just the topper on the icing.

"What are you going to do about it," his brother asked from beside him startling Klaus from his narcosis he shook his head before Kol could say anything else to make matters worse. He had already dug a whole big enough for Caroline to bury him in the last few hours.

"I have to tell her," Klaus said firmly believing it was the right thing to do and quite frankly the only thing to do he just wasn't looking forward to it anymore. There were so many things at play, he though his hands shaking as he thought about her applying for citizenship as she had mentioned after they were first married.

Then there was a divorce that could still happen if things didn't work out and yet he was still hopeful they would because she had above all stayed with him throughout this entire ordeal. She had stayed when he believed she was off to marry Lockwood and forget all about him.

After he practically sent her off and walked her down the aisle sending her away from this very home only to him himself get run off of the road trying to chase her back into his arms. His life had taken a complicated turn so very quickly he didn't know what to do with himself.

"Or you could keep pretending for a few months until the divorce papers have to be redrawn," Klaus thought his younger brother was mad, there was no way he could even think of doing that. "Time passes fast but in the end she might enjoy being stuck with you," Kol suggested but his eyes said he wasn't joking.

Klaus was so lost he was actually considering his brother's advice when something snapped inside of him he turned to Kol, "You knew about the divorce papers Elijah had made?" he asked befuddled.

Kol looked shocked and then pleased, "You knew?" he asked in returned clasping his hands together tightly.

"Elijah admitted it to me this morning," Klaus informed him with a heavy sigh his body sagging with disappointment that clearly everyone knew about what was happening around him. "Who did you hear," Klaus asked only to be cut short by Kol.

"Rebekah," he answered obviously lowering his voice, "She overheard him and mother. As much as it pains me to be sincere we were all planning on to telling you both tonight." He confessed, "It's what this party was for."

"But you wanted to get to me first," Klaus inquired knowing Kol better than he knew himself as he had watched him grow up before his very eyes.

Kol rolled his eyes, "It seems Elijah already covered that." Kol remarked seriously upset Elijah had stolen his thunder even in a situation like this. "There's something you should know." He said nervously.

Klaus moved to stand up with a huff, "What could be worse than me not telling my wife I've recovered my memory," he asked not quiet meaning for it to be a joke as he looked at his brother.

Kol winced tilting his head to the side as he replied, "Maybe Damon's womanizing best friend making moon eyes at her from the doorway," Klaus' features grew hard as Kol continued on, "Tall. Dark hair, muscles. Sound familiar?" he said egging his brother on.

"My wife is not attracted to a Lockwood doppelganger," Klaus replied a little too quickly to sound like he wasn't at all upset or jealous that another man was looking at his wife. He pulled on the shirt Caroline had worn to bed her scent filling his nostrils as he slid it over his head easing some of his growing tension.

Kol leaned back on his elbows, "I dunno," he remarked as Klaus opened the bedroom door and looked back at him his intent clear making Kol chuckle under his breath.

"Let's just get out there," Klaus said visibly shaken as he took the stairs two at a time leaving Kol to follow or not.
