(A/N: in the movie, the pitchfork landed on Zeus's back. So, I decided to overturn that particular event).
Chp 8
They entered the underworld. "Theron, isn't that your mother?", said Perseus, as he pointed out a spirit wandering back and forth.
"Mother!", Theron called out and the spirit came to them. It was Agnes.
"Oh, thank goodness you're here! Hurry! We don't have much time!", said Agnes, "Follow me. I know where Zeus is". They followed as Agnes showed them where Zeus was held.
The walls were breaking as Kronos awaken and grew stronger. Agenor asked them to go first as he stood nearby to watch out for Ares. They found him; hands were now looking like lavas as Kronos drained every last of his godly essence. Perseus tried to wake him up, "Open your eyes!".
"Great god Zeus, your son is here to rescue you", said Agnes.
Zeus finally woke up and Perseus used the trident to try and release Zeus. At the same time, Kronos began to rise from his confinement. Perseus tried his best, but to no avail.
"Use the power inside you", said Zeus as he adviced Perseus to use his half immortal power.
"Uncle, we need to hurry!", said Theron, before he joined Perseus to release Zeus. He used his sword and his half immortal power as well to try and destroy the bindings around Zeus's arms. Queen Andromeda used her sword, but she was mortal. Her sword didn't do any justice to destroy the bindings on Zeus's arms.
Ares arrived and obviously without the trident, Agenor was easily depleted. Queen Andromeda tried to attack, but one hit of the War Hammer to the ground threw the queen back and hit Perseus. Theron readied his sword, but Hades arrived and pinned Ares down with his pitchfork. He was allowing them time to escape. Theron turned to his mother.
"Go, my son. You must leave", said Agnes.
"What about you?", asked Theron.
"I'm already dead, remember?", said Agnes. As they escaped, Zeus asked Hades to come along, but he knew Hades had to keep Ares to the ground. Ares managed to overpower Hades by stabbing him. He grabbed Hades's pitchfork and threw it towards Zeus.
"THERON!", Agnes yelled. Theron heard his mother and he knew he had to do something, so he jumped and the pitchfork pierced through his shoulder. He fell to the ground, but Agenor caught him. Agnes watched in horror as her son was stabbed by his own father.
Ares saw what Theron did and fell to his knees. 'Why Theron?', he said to himself. Agnes saw Zeus grabbed the pitchfork and the trident. Then, he used those two weapons to transport all of them away from Tartarus.
"How could you, Ares?!", Agnes yelled at him.
"I didn't mean to harm our boy!", said Ares. Theron wasn't supposed to jump and protect Zeus. He wasn't supposed to be here in the first place. Agnes backed up until her spirit is at the edge.
"You're expecting me to follow your path, which I can't! You're breaking my heart, Ares! I love you! Our children love you! Stop!", she yelled.
"There's no turning back, Agnes", said Ares as he watched Kronos rised up.
"Then, I'm sorry. I love you, but I'm so sorry", said Agnes. She took a few steps back. One more step, she'll disappear hitting Kronos's lava. Ares knew what she was trying to do.
"Agnes, stop", said Ares.
"Forgive and forget. How hard can that be?", said Agnes, "Look what have you done to our son".
"Agnes, please…. Don't move any further", said Ares.
"Goodbye, Ares. I will always love you", said Agnes, before she fell into the lava pit.
"AGNES!", yelled Ares.
-MEANWHILE-
Theron lied in the tent as Perseus, Agenor and Queen Andromeda discussed strategy outside. Then, two fearsome gods fell from the sky.
"Where is our brother Theron?!", it was Phobos and Deimos.
"We demand to see him now!", Phobos bellowed, scaring the soldiers. Queen Andromeda approached them and led them to the tent. Once arrived, the twin demanded a moment with their mortal half brother.
"You fool!", said Deimos, "Look what have you done to yourself".
"I was…, trying to save Zeus…, brothers", said Theron weakly.
"You could at least use your head and use your sword to evade the pitchfork!", said Phobos.
"I'm a mortal. I don't think like you gods", said Theron.
"Excuses", muttered Deimos. He paced back and forth. "Which relatives of ours are the children of Apollo?", he asked.
"Asclepius? But I do not know whether he's alive or not", said Phobos.
"Just find him and bring him here", said Deimos. He took off his cape and used it to wrap Theron's wound. Phobos left and returned later with Asclepius, the god of medicine and son of Apollo.
"What am I doing here?", asked Asclepius.
"We need you to heal our brother", said Deimos. Asclepius approached Theron.
"He is mortal, Deimos. He is meant to die", said Asclepius.
"But he is the son of Ares! He doesn't just die like this!", said Phobos.
"Well, your father should have bestowed some godly power, but he didn't and now, he is dying. I cannot intervene with fate", said Asclepius. His words enraged Phobos and Phobos grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. "Killing me won't change his fate", said Asclepius.
"He's right, brother", said Theron, "There's nothing more you can do for me".
"You are the son of Ares! You can't die of a minor wound!", said Deimos.
"But I am just a mortal son of Ares. I'm no god like you", said Theron.
"Then, who will take care of your siblings?", asked Phobos after releasing Asclepius.
"Chrysantos is also a daughter of Ares", said Theron, "She is strong and I know she can move on without me".
"Asclepius, please…, there must be something you can do to help him", said Deimos.
"I can't promise anything", said Asclepius, "But in the mean time, Kronos is out there. Go fight him first, then come back here".
"Brother, you better be alive when we come back", said Phobos.
"I won't make any promises", said Theron. He watched the twin left for war as he lied in there, helpless and how he wish to fight alongside them, to prove his worth as the son of Ares.
