Ello all!

Thank you to those of you who gave the last update a read, and a big thanks to those who reviewed!

I was going to post this on the weekend but I figured since I had written almost half of it Monday evening, that I would just get 'er done now so I had two chapters left. I want to finish this one up so I can focus on the other three I've been neglecting. ;P

This is the climax to part one of the fight between State Genesis and Hellsing. Enjoy! :)

WARNING: This chapter is completely un-edited, so there's probably A LOT of mistakes. LOOL

CH VIII; HELLSING vs. STATE GENESIS

PART II [FINAL]

Seras watched Pip with a sad expression as he held his still bleeding side. His breathing had become more ragged and shallow with a painful wince crossing his face with each intake of oxygen. The draculina felt helpless as she watched him.

"Pip," Her voice was almost as low as a whisper. "Let me help you..."

Pip suddenly smirked and gave a rough chuckle. "You can't doll," He opened an eye to look at her and despite the pain he was in, his chocolate orb danced with amusement. "I'm not a virgin, so you can't turn me into a vampire."

Seras glared at him as her cheeks flared a bright pink. "I didn't mean in that way!" She hastily replied. "I just meant that I could carry you to where the rest of your team is. I'm a lot faster than they are."

"They'll be here when they get here," Pip muttered softly. "Just let me stay still so the blood won't bleed out as hard as it is. Speaking of which," He turned to Seras with a thoughtful expression. "How are you doing? Smelling all of this fresh blood must be hard on you."

Seras shrugged her shoulders. "I'm used to it. Between training with you and Alice when she was still human, and also before when I refused to drink human blood, I got used to fighting the urges."

"Gotcha," He gave a simple nod of the head. "I think I recall you telling me this before, but I can't really remember it right now."

Seras frowned. "Are you getting light headed?"

"A little, but that's to be expected."

The blond frowned and shuffled to the side before reaching out for the small medical kit that was almost empty. Grabbing the last bandage that was in the kit, she grabbed the half-empty bottle of antiseptic and quickly returned to Pip's side. His eyes followed her every movement as she carefully moved his arm to the side and unwrapped the soiled bandage.

"You're too kind to me," Pip murmured out softly as he allowed Seras to administer first aid. "Even after all the times I've pissed you off."

Seras gave a cheery smile. "Anytime."

Once she was finished her work, the two relaxed against the wall until familiar voices flooded the corridor. The pair looked in the general direction of the noise as several Wild Geese came into view. Soon the other members followed closely and upon seeing the two injured members staying put at their position of the wall, the group ran towards them with excitement.

"Oh ell, you two fucking scared the shit out of us!" One member exclaimed loudly.

Pip's right-hand man Sjohn made it to his injured captain's side before dropping down beside him as he roughly pulled out a more intense version of the medical kit Seras carried with her. The elder man gave Pip a stern look before giving his head a shake while as sigh escaped his lips.

"You always seem to get yourself into shitty situations when I'm not around, kid."

Pip chortled and gave a roll of his eyes. "As always, old man."

The rest of the team soon made their way over to the pair and took the time to dress their own unattended wounds. Seras stood up and assisted one man as he wrapped his arm and then helped another with a flesh wound on his shoulder.

"Did you hear from Alice?" Sjohn looked over to Seras once he finished dressing Pip's wound.

Seras looked over at him and shook her head. "Not yet."

"Maybe we should go up and check on them," Sjohn stood up. "I know Miss Alice is a strong girl and Alucard is Hellsing's finest, but they've been up there for a hell of a long time."

Seras contemplated the man's idea before reaching up for the button to her mic. "Let me try reaching Alice through this before we stampede up there."

All eyes were on Seras as she clicked the button.

"Alice or Alucard, come in," She paused for a moment before pressing the button once more. "Alice or Alucard, please respond."

There was moment of silence as a tense vibe surrounded the area. No one dared to move or speak. Seras reached for the mic once more to call out to the companions at the top level when a weak voice spoke out through the speakers.

"Seras, we're here and we're okay. Alucard and I will be heading down to meet you shortly." Alice's voice swept through the mic. "Sir Integra, if you can hear me, our target has been silenced."

Seras sighed with relief at the sound of the other female's voice.

Pip slowly got to his feet as he kept his eyes trained on Seras. "Should we go meet them halfway?"

"Attention everyone," Integra's voice boomed through the head pieces with urgency. "We need you all in the main lobby of the building. IMMEDIATELY."

Integra narrowed her eyes as an unfamiliar figure approached the armed group accompanying Walter and herself, his hands shoved into his pockets and his posture more than relaxed. The man was fairly tall and displayed a more muscular physic than the average male. He had shaggy brown hair and blood red eyes painted on a handsome, youthful face.

"I see you are the ones who broke through my front door," A sultry voice broke through the air followed by an amused chuckle. "Who would have thought the infamous Hellsing Organization would come to pay me a visit."

Integra lips pulled upward into a grin. "You know it is impolite to leave out introductions when you clearly are aware of who we are."

"My bad," The man chuckled once more and stopped the entire lobby distance from the group. "As the owner of State Genesis, allow me to formally introduce myself. I am James Dorchester, and I assume you're here because of a certain brunette."

Crystal blues narrowed at the figure standing across the room. "So you're one of the men responsible for the Waverly massacre."

James smirked. "You could say that," He emphasized the shrug of his shoulders as he stretched out his shoulders, a satisfying sigh escaping his lips as his joints popped. "I was there on order, not the one handing out orders."

"Somehow I find that hard to believe," Integra matched his smirk with her own. "A power-hungry man such as yourself taking orders from another? I truly find that difficult to perceive as the truth."

"Believe what you will young one," James pulled his hands out of his pockets and proceeded to stretch his arms out to full length. "I was merely a puppet back then; a pawn no higher than the troops you command."

Integra watched James as he limbered up, her mind buzzing with the anticipation with his first move. Her eyes continuously flickered to where the others would reappear should they join the battle.

"Expecting other guests soon?" James grinned. "I'm sure you'll find that my assistants are more than enough to preoccupy your friends."

"I doubt that."

Suddenly off to the left of the room, a materializing black figure appeared and began to solidify into a person clad in red. The corners of Integra's lips quirked upward into a smug grin as Alucard himself entered the battle field.

James watched with interest and let out a low whistle. "Nice show, man! I guess that would be one of your benefits, being the unholy No-Life King."

"So you do remember me?" Alucard smirked as he stepped forward, effectively blocking Integra from view. "How admirable."

"Well, you were the one who started the strain that would b known as the ultimate plague," James pocketed his hands once more. "Or should I put the blame on your whores?"

Alucard let out a throaty chuckle. "They were very obedient to their master, weren't they?"

The polite exchange of words suddenly ceased as the two stood stoic, neither one showing any sign of weakness nor wavering in their strong facade. Integra watched the two silently before shifting her eyes to the back of Alucard's head, inhaling deeply to prepare for the words that were to be spoken once again.

"Alucard, this is an order," Integra began, her crystal blues landing on James. "Destroy James Dorchester. Your mission will be rendered unsuccessful until the target has been eliminated."

A dark laugh escaped Alucard's body as he shook with excitement.

"Releasing Control Art Restriction Systems three... two... one, approval of situation A recognized. Commencing the Cromwell invocation. Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until target has been permanently silenced."

A thick darkness soon fell upon the entire area as red eyes similar to Alucard's blanketed the entire abyss. Alucard stood in the middle of the black surroundings, his own body now outlined in red with the same cold eyes peppering his entire body. James stood far back and watched with a mixture of fear and anticipation as the darkness consumed him whole.

Integra looked back at her remaining men and spoke with haste.

"This is an order! Leave the area at once!"

A course of obedient calls flooded the remaining light portion of the room as the humans fell back before too becoming consumed by Alucard's web of blackness. Integra herself pulled back as well. Just as she was about to give another order, the main doors leading outside burst open with such force, the doors themselves ripped from their hold on the wall.

"Sir Integra!"

Integra looked over quickly to see none other than Seras Victoria appear in the doorway with an injured Pip leaning on her side. The Wild Geese soon flooded onto the battle field following closely behind the pair, all at the ready. Crystal blues immediately fell on a slouched figure following behind them at a much less urgent pace. Once it was revealed to be Alice, Integra instantly caught the bitterness and hatred etched onto her features.

The younger woman's own blues soon fell upon Alucard's engaged target, her eyes narrowing dangerously as she watched exchange of blows and bullets.

"James Dorchester..." Alice growled out, his fists clenching tightly as they shook with bridled force.

Without warning, Alice lunged forward with incredible speed and joined Alucard in battle against the man from her past. With a mighty swing of her arm, she managed to knock the No-Life King off balance before delivering another blow to send him flying back and out of reach of James. The enemy in question watched with amusement and soon smirk widely at the sole Waverly's unexpected move. Alucard regained his composure and cast Alice a narrow-eyed look before glancing over his shoulder to Integra.

"Little Alice Waverly, it's been a while," James purred out. "And I must say, time has definitely been on your side. You look just as stunning as I thought you would."

Alice watched as his eyes ran up and down her figure several times with an unmasked undertone of lust swirling in his red orbs. She fought the shiver of disgust that threatened to cover her body.

"I honestly can't say the same for you," Alice reached both of her hands to her hips where her gun were holstered before wrapping her fingers around them, giving them each a tug to release them from their bonds. "You look like you've seen some better days."

Truthfully, had this been a different situation, Alice may have thought James to be a handsome man at one point. The shaggy brown hair was tousled and out of place more so than she recalled. He had blood all over his clothing and red marks that stained his cheeks. One wound in particular caught her attention, looking as though it refused to heal itself. With her heightened senses, she inhaled deeply and caught the familiar scent of the mixture used in the weapons given to her by her former employer.

The corner of her lips twitched upwards into a grin.

"I see that you've been injured," Alice teased. "Such a pity. I was hoping to fight you at full strength."

James smirked. "That may be true but if you use any of your pretty little toys, you and I will both suffer the consequences."

"Afraid not."

Alice quickly fired several rounds that embedded himself into James's chest, earning a loud roar of mixed pain and anger from the injured vampire before her.

"I forgot to mention something important," Alice continued to hold her stance and readied herself to fire another round into the man. "I asked a good friend of mine to mix up the original ingredients so that we could synthesize something that wouldn't be potent to those who use it."

James narrowed his eyes at her. "That's not possible."

"Oh, but it is!" Alice smirked and fired another bullet, this time having aimed at the spot right above where his heart would be. "It was easy to make it so it could only be used on you, seeing as how you made one wrong move that night you were involved with the murder of my family."

James took a moment to process her words trying to find a false lace entwined in her speech but was somewhat alarmed when he found nothing. His brows furrowed as he hastily replayed that nights events in his head and analyzed everything down to the amount of dust on the furniture.

"You don't remember, do you?"

James looked at Alice and glared. "Not entirely, no. Would you be so kind as to enlighten me?"

Pip narrowed his eyes as he watched Alice's facial features twist into a new form. She had a cold look flood into her crimson eyes, much like Alucard's once the excitement of bloodshed ensued during battle. Her smirk reached her ears as her fangs glistened in waiting, wanting nothing more than to embed themselves into the jugular of the man in front of her. Her body was tense and coiled, silently waiting for James to make his move.

"Seras," Pip's raspy voice pulled her attention from the events unfolding between Alice and James to Pip. "Look at Alice's face."

"Huh?" Her brows furrowed together as she followed Pip's gaze over to her closest friend, finally realizing why her injured partner suggested she pay attention. Alice looked entirely lethal and ready for blood.

She was terrifying.

"What's happened to her?" Seras frowned deeply and watched with worry.

Integra also watched with worry, her glacier eyes narrowed in anticipation. Alucard, having observed silently at the side of his master, stepped forward with his Jackal in hand.

"Alucard," Integra's eyes never left Alice. "I don't completely understand your attachment to Alice, but this is something personal that she feels she needs to finish on her own. Do not interfere. That's an order."

Alucard stopped abruptly at the command as he glanced back at his master.

He too, wasn't entirely sure how he felt for the draculina other than an overbearing need to tame her and make a permanent claim over her body and soul. In his solitude, Alucard found himself pondering over what he could remember from his human years and all those emotions left behind once he became immortal.

No other example came close other than infatuation, desire, obsession...

Love.

"I wonder how good it will feel," Alice's words broke through the tense silence. "When I rip your tongue out and feed it to you before I pull you apart limb from limb?"

At this point, the easy going nature that surrounded James had dissipated into something more dangerous as his instincts kicked in, warning him of the threat standing before him. He was no fool. Like the police girl Hellsing had hired, Alice was turned by the original vampire himself. She was stronger than the average immortal.

"You got my DNA from the crime scene, didn't you?" James suddenly understood why she was so confident.

The smirk on Alice's face grew wider, giving James the only answer he needed.

James didn't have enough time to speak once more as Alice surged forward and slammed her fist into his stomach. On impact, James felt his body bend on connection in an inhuman way. Blood poured out of his mouth followed by a straggled gasp as her first dug deeper into his midsection. Without time to react, Alice ripped her arm away from the man before pivoting her body as her leg rose up. James reacted too slow to block her attack and felt his whole body hurdled towards the floor as Alice's leg slammed into his neck.

Pulling one of the machetes strapped to her thigh out from it's enclosed holster, she slammed the blade soaked in a liquid golden substance into his back effectively piercing his heart. The male beneath her roared in pain as he thrashed angrily against her, managing to knock Alice off balance and sent her flying to the side. James shakily rose to his feet and ignoring the pain radiating over his entire body due to the blade still lodged in his back, used what strength he had left to quickly launch himself forward at Alice.

"Alice!" Seras yelled her name loudly. "Get up!"

James grabbed Alice by the throat and pinned her to the ground using his entire body weight to keep her in place despite the poison from her blade shredding slowly at his physical strength. His narrowed eyes met her own as his face lowered down close enough to her own that she could practically taste his breath on her lips.

"This ends here and now," James whispered so only she could hear him. "Shame. I was thinking of coming back for you, but instead you let yourself get turned by him."

"Funny..." Alice gasped out, not bothering to struggle anymore. "I was just about..." She paused to inhale sharply, "to say the same thing..."

Fangs bared, James snarled loudly before hastily leaning downward towards her jugular.

There was a moment where time itself seemed to stop as Alice made her final move.

In her hands, she held a family heirloom left behind from her mother with a note explaining what it's real intended use was for. Made of pure silver, the polished hunting knife had been hidden away for years even after the incident. It was crafted by Abraham van Hellsing and was passed down through the generations of vampire hunters as means to defeat the hunter's greatest enemy. Somewhere down the line, the knife had fallen into the Waverly family's possession and was used as the greatest weapon to use against the undead.

What was also mentioned in the letter, was that the knife was capable of killing any vampire it slashed into. Abraham also took much precaution and gave the blade enough power to incapacitate Alucard himself.

Using as much force as her body could muster, Alice gripped the hilt of the blade tightly and swung. James's eyes flew open wide as his body fell to the side and began thrashing in pain. Alice shifted to the side as she watched the males attempts to remove the knife lodged in his throat. The wound itself bled profusely and continuously began to get worse and worse as he struggled against it.

"I'm sure you're aware that I've ended the lives of all those involved in my family's murder, but this will be the first and last time I use such a weapon against a bastard like you," Alice gripped the hilt once more and smirked down at him. "I guess you could say I saved the best for last."

"Goodbye, James Dorchester."

Hey guys!

Sorry it took so long to get this one out. I had a hard time writing this despite the fact the previous chapter flowed so nicely (or at least I thought it did). I should also apologize for the lack of sense this chapter may or may not make. Sorry for the shortness too. Like I said, this was pretty nasty to write because it just didn't seem to go together.

This will definitely go on my list of things to either re-write or do a full scale edit on. :)

Two chapters left for this series! Woo hoo!

I'll more than likely finish this series off this weekend as there's talk of the tail-end of a hurricane breezing through the province I live in, so I'll be stranded at home on my day off... Yeah. "Stranded". LOOL

I love you all so, so, sooooo much!

I'll make sure to respond to all of your reviews in the very last chapter, so if you all have something to ask, go a head and ask away! :)
