A/N: It's time for the finale of Blazing Revolution's ALO arc. But do not worry readers. I will be posting more adventures for Wyvern's Inferno. This story is far from finished.
Ever since the ALO Incident had been cleared, things had finally started to get back to normal. Asuna had woken up from her coma, as well as the three hundred other SAO Survivors. The man responsible for trapping them all in ALO, the person Yamato had referred to as Sugou Nobuyuki, was arrested along with the other scientists working with him.
Four months had passed on by since the battle at the World Tree. Ren and the others were all at Agil's bar in the real world, known as the Dicey Cafe, celebrating their success at freeing everyone, as well as the fact that SAO was now officially over for them. Clair had come along with her brother, excited to all of his friends. Mai was busy introducing her to everyone while Ren and Alice sat together at table, chatting with the rest of their guild.
"I gotta say, it's kinda boring nowadays without any exciting action around." Helios said as he leaned back in his chair.
"You mean like Yamato kicking you in the balls over and over again." Ren said with a grin.
Helios groaned as the pain from that experience came haunting back to him. "Don't remind me of that."
Dagger giggled at her boyfriend. "Well at least we won in the end, or at least Ren did."
"Come on guys, I never would have beaten him without everyone's help." Ren told them. "It was a team effort."
"Well it sure was a team effort when we were getting our butts handed to us." Dagger sighed. "But all's well that ends well I suppose."
"Too bad we've got a brand new challenge to face." Helios groaned. "School."
His friends all shared a laugh at their friend's expense. A couple months ago, the Japanese government had set up a school for all of the SAO Survivors that had lost two years worth of their education. None of them minded too much, considering it meant they could all be together. Not to mention the fact that it would feel too weird going back to their old schools after being gone for two years.
Clair walked up to her brother, along with Mai. "Dan, who's that person over there. Mai keeps telling me I shouldn't talk to him."
Ren looked over to the person Clair was pointing to and laughed as he realized who it was. "That's Klein, and she's right you shouldn't go near him."
"Ren?! What the hell man?!" Klein exclaimed as everyone in the room shared a laugh.
Ren turned his attention back to his sister. "So, are you getting along with everyone sis?"
Clair nodded her head. "It's a little weird that everyone here was in SAO. I feel a bit left out. But Mai's been introducing me to lots of cool people."
"I know how you feel." a new person said, walking up to them, Suguha Kirigaya. "You're not the only one that wasn't in SAO here. It does feel a bit strange."
"It's fine." Alice assured them both. "You guys are just as much a part of this group as the rest of us."
Ren looked over towards the bar and noticed Kirito talking with Agil. He turned to Alice. "Be right back." Ren got out of his chair and took a seat next to his friend at the bar. "Hey Kirito. What's up?"
"Not much." he said. "Agil was just telling me how The Seed has been doing."
Ren looked at the computer screen and saw the program running. The Seed was a program package that Kirito had apparently gotten from Kayaba, or an afterimage of him, Ren didn't like to put too much thought into it. But what was amazing was the program's design. It allowed anyone to create their own virtual world, with all of them linked together.
"Speaking of VR, is everyone still good for the afterparty tonight?" Ren asked.
"You better believe it." Agil nodded. "We're meeting at eleven in Yggdrasil City. Don't be late."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." Ren grinned.
"Come on big brother! Hurry up!"
"Alright, alright, I'm coming Clair just hang on." Ren told her. The two of them stood in the streets of the capital city of Alfheim. "You ready to go?" Clair nodded her head and the two siblings took off into the sky.
After the events of ALO, the game was given to another company to keep it running. It was better than ever. There was no flight time limit and the research lab that had been at the top of the World Tree was replaced with the dazzling Yggdrasil City like it was supposed to have originally.
Clair had shown a lot of interest in VRMMOs after listening to her brother's many stories. With that in mind, Ren and his mother had decided to get the young girl an AmuSphere and a copy of ALO for her birthday. Needless to say, she was ecstatic when she had gotten it. Ren was hoping for that reaction, since the money it had cost him nearly made him go broke.
Clair had decided to follow in her brother's footsteps and chose the Imp race for her avatar. Her avatar had the same height as her real self, though her hair was a dark violet color and was styled with two long ponytails going down her back. Her clothing consisted of a dark violet outfit with metal pads covering her knees and elbows. A metal breastplate was worn across her chest and a katana was strapped to her waist. The weapon had a violet handle and a shiny silver blade, which Ren had asked Lizbeth to forge for him to celebrate Clair coming into ALO.
The first few weeks had been difficult for Clair to get used to fighting, and especially hard for learning how to fly. But now she was able to fly in the air as well as the rest of her friends. As for combat training, Ren had taught her what he could, with some help from Leafa.
Ren and Clair flew through the skies above Arun. Up ahead, they could see Alice, Kirito, and the others hovering in the sky. The two siblings came to a stop.
"Glad you could make it." Kirito said.
Clair looked around them, not seeing anything of notice. "Why are we here? I don't see anything."
"Wait for it." Ren told her as he and everyone else looked towards the moon.
Clair looked along with them, not understanding what was going on. Soon, her eyes widened as a giant floating structure began to eclipse the moon in front of their eyes. Several lights went on all at once, revealing a massive tower that was unlike anything Clair had ever seen before.
"What is that?" Clair gasped.
"That's Aincrad." Ren answered. "The floating castle in the sky from SAO."
"You're kidding?!" Clair exclaimed. "But… what is it even doing here?"
"What else? For a rematch." Helios grinned as he cracked his knuckles. "And this time, we're clearing all one hundred floors."
Dagger felt herself grin in delight. "So many unopened treasure chests! And every single one of them is going to be mine!"
"You can have them. I'm going for Floor 100. I'll be sure to clear it before anyone." Riku said with an eager grin.
"Keep dreaming Riku. It'll be that much funnier when you fall flat on your face." Mai giggled.
Alice looked over at Ren with a smile. "It's time for Wyvern Inferno's big return. Let's go Ren."
"You ready Clair?" Ren asked. Clair eagerly nodded her head. "Alright then. Let's go everyone!"
The multitude of fairies all flew through the sky, making their way to the castle in the sky. The place that had served as a prison for nearly two years. And now it was time for a new game. A game without death.
For there are far more worse games to play.
A/N: Ok so I know this chapter was really short and I want to apologize for that. I just wanted to wrap this up and move on to the next series of adventures in Blazing Revolution. I've had some ideas in my head that I really want to write out.
