A COUPLE DAYS LATER:

"So you and Renee are spending a lot of time together," says Roman as we are sitting in catering looking over the script for RAW later that night. "What's up with that?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," I say pretending as if I don't know but Roman is my best friend. He knows everything about me.

"Right," he says, "let's talk about the late night dinners you two have been having the last couple nights and the last couple weeks. You two are always off in a corner talking by yourselves and Saturday you wanted to use my beach house to hang out with her alone. So what's up with you two?"

"Nothing," I say, "we're just hanging out having some fun as friends."

"Right," he says with a smile. "You're together aren't you?"

"Maybe," I say with a smile.

"So you are together," he says with a smile. "I knew it."

"All right, we're together. We're dating. She's my girlfriend," I say honestly. I can't keep anything from my best friend. I trust him. I know he won't say anything to anyone if I ask him not to.

"Wow, girlfriend," he says with a smile. "You moved on."

"Yeah just a little bit," I say, "I like her a lot. She makes me happy and I love spending time with her."

"I can tell," he says with a smile. "So what brought this on?"

"Well, we started by hanging out you know to get comfortable for this storyline thing that's going to happen and we really clicked. I mean she has been a really good friend to me the last couple years but I really like her. We started to hang out more and then she asked me to be her boyfriend."

"She asked you?" he asks with a shocked expression. "She must really want you."

"She has me," I say with a proud smile. "We're keeping it private for now. We don't really want anyone to know about us because it's our business. And I don't think it's anyone's business what we're doing or if we're together or not. It's our business."

"I hear you on that. Lina has gotten pretty strict on the whole privacy thing now too. She deleted some social media because she was tired of people adding her and taking her pictures to post on the internet. She just doesn't like to be in the public eye or to have Jojo in the public eye. I admire you for keeping it private."

"Thanks, Man," I say. "I trust you of course and I know you're not going to say anything to anyone."

"Of course I won't," he says with a smile. "So have you two slept together yet?"

"No not yet. I'm not ready for all that yet. I still need her to meet Ken."

"Does Ken know about her and you?"

"She knows that Renee calls me at home and that Renee and I went out on a date but she has no idea about the girlfriend thing. She's going to meet her out in Vegas in a couple weeks."

"I see. Do you think she'll like her?"

"I hope she does. She seems to like her already but she didn't know she is my girlfriend just yet. She asked if she could come to her birthday party."

"Wow," says Roman, "that's a huge step from Kennedy."

"Tell me about it," I say, "I think she'll like her but I don't want her to think Renee is there to replace Saige because she isn't. She's been asking for an Earth Mommy and I don't know how to tell her no woman on Earth will ever be her mommy. I don't want to break her heart."

"I know you don't," he says. "So how does Renee feel about you having a kid?"

"She seems to be accepting of it. She is anxious to meet her and she is coming to her birthday party. I did let her know that Kennedy comes first and is my number one just so she knows that now."

"Good," he says, "I'm happy for you, Dean. I'm glad that you're finally getting the strength to move on. I know it can't be easy after everything that happened and I know you still miss Saige, you still wear your wedding ring for goodness sakes I know it's hard but you're taking the steps to move on. I hope everything works out with you and Renee."

"Thanks," I say with a smile. "And it is hard because I still feel like I am betraying Saige in a way but I can't be unhappy forever. I need to move on and being with Renee makes me happy."

"You do seem a lot happier," he says with a smile.

"You seem happier too," I say with a smile. "What's going on with your life?"

"Nothing really," he says, "Lina and I are getting married really soon. In like a few months," he says with a smile. "About 3 months from now. It's going to be finalized. We've been together forever it's about time we tied the knot."

"Yeah," I say with a smile. "I'm glad that you two are finally doing this. I know you were talking about it being private. Is it still going to be private?"

"Yes," he says. "Just the way we want it."

"Congratulations," I say with a smile. "I'm happy for you. Thinking about any more kids in the future?"

"We're talking about it. I would love to have one or two more but it's all up to Lina and what she wants. We're discussing it right now. Are you going to have more kids one day?"

"I hope so but not for a while. I have so much more I want to do in my career first before that happens and I want to be married again before that happens not that I have something about not being married and having kids I just want to be married to set a good example for Ken."

"I hear you," he says.

"That's another thing Kennedy has been asking for a baby sister or brother. She would have had one maybe a couple by now if Saige wouldn't have been taken from us."

"I know," he says, "she was pregnant wasn't she?"

"Yep," I say, "we were trying so hard for that baby and I lost it and her. It was devastating. Is it normal to be scared to actually love again?"

"It's normal. You're scared to love again because you're afraid that you'll lose the one you love again," he says. "It's normal. You lost someone you loved so much through a horrific tragedy so it's understandable why you're scared to fall in love again. Think you could fall in love with Renee?"

"That's the plan but I'm scared."

"You just gotta let it happen, Man," he says. "Just let it happen."

"I'll try," I say. "I will try."

RENEE's POINT OF VIEW:

"Renee Nay," says my friend Summer as she comes up to me as I am getting my hair and makeup done for the show.

"Hey, Girl," I say with a smile as the stylist is working on my hair. "What are you up to?"

"Nothing," she says. "What are you up to?" she asks.

"Getting my hair and makeup done," I say with a smile.

"I know that but what's up with Ambrose?" she asks. "You two have been hanging out a lot lately."

"We're cool," I say with a shrug. "We're just hanging out."

"Just hanging out or dating?" she asks.

"Hanging out," I say trying to keep it a secret. I don't want people to know my business. It's no one's business but mine.

"Uh huh," she says. "I noticed you two hanging out a lot more than usual and your private talks in the corners. He likes you girl."

"I'm sure he does," I say with a smile, "but we're friends."

"Come on, Renee, tell me the truth. You and Ambrose have something going on."

"First his name is Dean and what does it matter to you or anyone else if I am dating him or not. Isn't it my business?"

"Well, yeah but you're my best friend and I think you should tell me the truth. Are you and Dean together?"

"Summer," I say, "don't worry about it. It shouldn't matter to you or anyone else."

"You totally are," she says with a smile.

"All right," I say, "all right don't tell anyone but yes Dean and I are together. We just aren't telling anyone right now."

"I won't say a word," she says, "I promise."

"You better not, Summer. It took me this long to get Dean to go out with me and to even consider me as more than a friend. I don't want to blow this."

"I know. You've liked him for a while. I won't say anything. I am so happy for you," she says with a smile. "I can't believe this!"

"It's not a big deal," I say with a smile. "Okay it really is." Words cannot express how happy I am to finally be with Dean. I have liked him for a long time probably about a year or so now. I have wanted to hang out with him, date him and be with him. The day when it all happened was one of the best days of my life. He's a sweet guy and no one ever really gets to see that side of him because he doesn't let them. He's been through a lot and yet he is still as happy as he can be. I like him a lot.

"Speaking of the devil," says Summer, "here comes lover boy right now," she says with a smile.

"Stop it, Summer," I say with a smile as I can already smell the scent of his cologne.

"Hey," he says as he appears beside me with a smile on his face, dressed in his black tank shirt and his blue jeans, his hair still wet from a shower.

"Hey," I say with a smile as I look at him. "What's up?"

"Can we talk for a minute?"

"Sure," I say as Summer and the stylist stand around as Dean looks at them.

"Alone," he says.

"Oh yeah," says Summer, " I have to go anyway. I have a match tonight."

"See you later, Summer," I say with a smile.

"Bye, Renee," she says before she walks away.

"Jessie?" I ask the stylist. "Can we have a couple minutes?"

"I'm just about finished," she says to Dean, "and then she's all yours."

"Thanks," he says as he leans against the makeup table watching her finish on my hair.

As Jessie finishes up on my hair she sprays some hairspray on it before she takes the robe off of me exposing my black sleeveless dress that falls to the top of my knee. "Wow," says Dean as he helps me out of the chair. "You look great."

"Thanks," I say with a smile as he keeps my hand in his and we start to walk down the hallway to one of our famous corners to talk as he guides me with one of his hands at the small of my back. "So what's up?" I ask him as we reach a corner.

"Did you read the script for tonight?"

"Yes," I say, "our storyline starts tonight."

"And did you see who comes after you tonight?"

"Yes, Brock Lesnar," I say nervously. "I don't like it either, Dean."

"Well, Brock has been advised to keep his hands off of you. His hands should not touch you at all."

"Good," I say, "I was scared he would F-5 me or something."

"He won't touch you just intimidate you by backing you against a wall staring you down."

"Okay," I say. "Are you worried about it?"

"Just a little because this is going to start a feud with him and I. I don't know if I am ready for a feud against him physically."

"I think you're good for a feud against him. You're faster than him and you do crazier things than he does."

"This is true but his style is kick ass and ask questions later. I don't want to be the next resident of Suplex City," I say with a smile.

"I don't want that either," I say with a smile as I place my hands on the bottom of his shirt. "And he won't put his hands on me."

"Only if he has a death wish," he says with a smile as I tug at the bottom of his shirt. "You're going to be all right," he says, "I would never let anything happen to you."

"I know," I say with a smile pulling him closer to me before wrapping my arms around his waist. "Summer was asking about us," I say as he wraps his arms around my waist as my head rests on his chest and I can hear the beating of his heart. I feel his nose in my hair.

"Oh yeah?" he asks. "What was she asking?"

"If we were together," I say.

"What did you tell her?" he asks.

"That we were. She's my best friend, Dean. I had to tell her."

"It's okay I understand. I told Roman too," he says before he kisses the top of my head softly. "You do know if we keep having meetings like this in the corner people are going to know."

"Hey, you're the one that pulled me to this corner to talk."

"I didn't just bring you to this corner to talk," he says with a smile as I look up at him with a smile of my own. "But I don't care if people we work with know or not. I don't expect them to go running to the internet saying Renee Young and Dean Ambrose are dating or taking pictures of us. There are plenty of relationships going on in the WWE right now. It happens. NO one around here cares. It's the people and the fans I don't want to know."

"You're right," I say with a smile. "Our friends around here won't care and I'm sure our friends outside the business won't care. I just don't want the fans in our business."

"Agreed," he says with a smile. "You really do look beautiful tonight."

"Thanks," I say with a smile. "You look pretty good yourself."

"Thanks," he says with a smile.

"So why else did you bring me to this corner?"

"So I could do this," he says before he leans down catching my lips with his and kissing me softly and passionately as his hands run up and down my back as my hand does the same and makes its way up to his damp hair. I twirl some of his hair around my finger as he deepens the kiss making me moan against his mouth as I pull him closer to me. I feel his smile on my lips as our kiss continues. I could kiss this man all day if I wanted to. I just can't get enough of him. I may even be falling in love with him. "Well," he says as he breaks the kiss. "I should let you finish getting ready for RAW. I have to get myself prepared to protect you."

"Shouldn't be too much preparing right?"

"It's going to be a piece of cake. No acting needed," he says with a smile. "I'll see you later."

"See you later," I say with a smile before he gives me a soft quick kiss on the lips before he reluctantly separates himself from me to go get prepared for the night while I make my way back to Jessie to get my lipstick and make up done again.
