Greetings readers of FanFiction! And welcome to yet another chapter for When Couples Collide. This chapter will focus on the day after the whole potion thing.

So without further delay, I shall begin the new chapter.

Chapter 6: Hangover Blues

So far, everyone has recovered from the effects of the potion, but not everyone was relieved. Romeo snapped out of the trance midway through a date with Wendy, causing embarrassment. Gajeel had to deal with Jet and Droy, both of whom were complaining about how he was handling Levy. Bixlow's face hurt after Mira punched him. And Lucy can no longer look at whipped cream again, don't ask why.

But, the strangest thing was that Cobra was now trying to avoid Kinana, much to the barmaid's confusion.

"I wonder what's up with Eric." Kinana asked Lucy, who was sitting at the bar. The guild hall was noisy as usual, especially after the whole potion commotion that happened the other day.

"Maybe he's just a little bit embarrassed after yesterday, he can hear thoughts, so he probably heard weird things." Lucy said with a bit of a shutter.

"Lu-Chan's right, maybe he needs time to recuperate." Levy suggested.

"Yeah, you're probably right." Kinana said, still not feeling better. "So, how did Lisanna react to you and Natsu?" She asked the Celestial Spirit Mage.

"She said that she was okay with it, and she said the Bixlow's good with his tongue." Lucy said, making the three of them shutter. "Why did I tell you guys that?"

"At least she didn't try to make it so the guild ignored you and you got kicked off of Team Natsu." Levy said.

"Yeah, there's no way that would ever actually happen." Kinana said. (Hint Hint, Wink Wink.)

A crash was heard in the background as Natsu had gotten into a fight with Gray. Chairs, tables, and the occasional guild member were tossed across the room in their fight.

"There they go again." Lucy sighed.

"Where's Erza when you need her?" Levy asked aloud.

"She and Jellal haven't come back from their mission yet." Kinana said, causing the two other girls to try and think what they might be doing.

Meanwhile,

Erza and Jellal were checking into an inn on their way back to Magnolia. They had completed the mission easily but they lost their tickets for the return trip and were forced to walk due to the train tickets being expensive in the town they were previously in.

"This is the third town we've walked into, why is it the only one with train tickets we can afford?" Erza asked rhetorically.

"Look, we'll spend the night here and take the train back tomorrow, my feet are killing me." Jellal said as Erza groaned in agreement.

"I'm sorry but we only have one room left for now, the town's festival has brought in quite the crowd this year." The innkeeper said. He was quite portly and had a fancy looking moustache. His eyes were covered by his glasses and his balding head glistened in the right light. "But I'm sure a young couple like you two would enjoy a single bed room either way."

"But we're not a -" Jellal began, only to be stopped by Erza. "We'll take it."

After being shown to their room, there was an awkward silence between the two.

"Why is it that everyone thinks we're a couple whenever we have to check into an inn?" Jellal rhetorically asked out of annoyance.

"It's better than lying about a fiancé." Erza said, referring to a previous lie of his.

"I said I was sorry about that."

"That doesn't make it right."

"Listen Erza, I didn't mean to hurt you in anyway."

"Then why did you push me away?" Erza said with some sadness in her voice.

"I was a fugitive, I didn't want to get you into any trouble like that." Jellal said in his defense. He still felt some pain about having to lie to her after all that time.

"You know me, I can handle any trouble we get in." Erza said sitting on the bed.

"I know, and I regret both lying to you, and pushing you away." Jellal stated. "But, I believe we have some unfinished business, if I recall."

"What're you-!" Erza was cut off by Jellal suddenly kissing her, both of them falling onto the bed.

They soon broke for air, blushes evident upon their faces. "Since people think we're a couple, we might as well act the part." Jellal suggested as Erza nodded in agreement.

Back at the Guild Hall

"They're probably just bored out of their minds." Levy said, unable to think of what Erza and Jellal might be up to.

Lucy and Kinana nodded in agreement as Lisanna walked up to their little group and sat down. "Hey girls." She said as the other girls greeted her. "Whatcha talking about?" She asked.

"Just about Erza and Jellal." Lucy said before noticing something was off with the entire guild hall. "Something's not right here, it feels like something's missing." She said.

"You're right, it's like a mysterious rift opened in the guild." Lisanna agreed feeling the offness of the situation.

"Whatever it is, it might be a danger to everyone here." Levy said, albeit dramatically.

"Shouldn't Cana be drinking her eighth barrel of beer by now?" Kinana asked as the each noticed that Cana was missing from her usual bar stool and all the beer barrels were still full.

It was true that Cana wasn't at the guild hall, and she wasn't at her house either. She woke up groggily next to the thunder dragonslayer Laxus, who was slightly hungover. Their clothes littered the floor and Cana took in what had happened.

"Did we just…" She began.

"Yup." Laxus simply said.

"Why is it that whenever we get drunk, this usually happens?" Cana asked as Laxus shrugged in response.

"All I know is that I've got one hell of a hangover." Laxus said getting out of his bed to find some aspirin.

I think that should wrap up the story for now, but I have a feeling that I'll be uploading again soon.
