"I h-h-h-hate this pl—place." Lucy shivered. There were walking around the snow for an hour looking for some entrance into the mountain. She wanted to bring out Horologium to go in but Gabriel decided to take her keys when she wasn't looking this way.
"This wouldn't happen if you wore more clothes." Natsu said. His arm was around her shoulder to keep her warm. Happy flew above them.
"Shut up Natsu." The two looked to see Sara shivering as well, not able to cover up much with her dress. She was leaning into Gray, wearing his shirt since the cold did not bother him. "That wasn't meant for you Sara." Lyon and Juvia were alright with the cold as were Gabriel and Sidell while Lisanna was tucked into Gabriel's trench coat. Forrest was cold but was grateful there was no blizzard. He may be able to control earth but snow was an element from the sky he had no power to.
"Where is the entrance Gabriel?" Sara asked. She watched Gabriel stop and look at his notes. "Beats me."
"GABRIEL." Everyone shouted. He rolled his eyes but feeling Lisanna shiver made him more concerned and he took a closer look until he found a dark area and using his sharp vision took a closer look to find it was a hole. "There."
As they got closer Lucy recognized the area. "Natsu, isn't this where that one Vulcan that took over Macao used to be?"
Natsu looked and nodded. "That was our very first adventure." Lucy smiled at that, though was still freaked out by the creepy stares it gave her. As they walked through they took light steps in the beginning after Juvia and Sara slipped on the ice.
"I never been this deep in the cave." Lyon admired the ice walls. "The ice looks exquisite." Gray agreed, running his hand on one side.
"Sid I'm bored." Forrest complained, look up at the mountain's ceiling.
"How is that my problem?" Sidell stopped walking to look back at him but Forrest did not pay attention and the two bumped into each other. "Watch where you are going." Sidell growled, having to take a few steps back to regain balance. Before Forrest could say something in return everyone heard a loud clink and turned to see a small, brown key with ridges in it, almost like dragon scales, hanging from a silver wire on the ground. "What is that?" Gabriel bent down and picked it up, gasping. "It's the Earth key."
"When did you get it Sidell?" Sara asked, taking it from Gabriel.
Sidell shook his head. "Jayde must have put it on my sword's sheath when she hugged me."
"So you guys fought her for nothing?" Lyon asked.
"No, there must have been a reason. They intended to have you two fight from the beginning," taking the key from Sara, Gabriel took Lucy's keys and attached it to hers. "For now we will be grateful they trusted us with this. Now we must find the other three. Let's go."
Half an hour into the cave they were silent until Gray remembered something Jaron said that he's been wanting to ask. "Gabriel, Lucy wasn't the first person you tried to become a knight to was she?" Sara looked at him with wide eyes, worried how Gabriel would react.
Gabriel was calm though, knowing someone was going to bring it up. "Correct, before Lucy I tried for two others, the last was Draven. At the time I did not Sara was there and so went up against Silas and Shouta by myself. They won easily and became Draven's knights. The day I lost I found Sara in the crowd and decided to not bother trying to be a knight for her. It was when our mother came looking for knights that Sara wanted to participate and so we teamed up." Lisanna squeezed his hand. Even though he was hiding it she could see the pain in his eyes, even if it was small. Gabriel smiled at her.
"Let's keep going." Sidell suggested. They all knew those two were keeping secrets that only the hybrids knew about.
As they started walking again Forrest walked along Gray when Sara went to talk to Juvia. "Lay off those two."
"Huh?" Gray looked at him with confusion. Behind them Natsu and Lucy could hear.
Forrest sighed and rested his arms on the back of his head. "Of course they are keeping secrets, everyone knows that but if you keep pushing it then it'll make matters worse."
"I'm just worried, everyone is." He glanced at Sara.
"I get that but just wait for them to say something then. Us hybrids know can only imagine what goes on in that dragon world they were stuck in, not to mention time there is frozen so they stayed eight years old for quite a long time. Just stop pestering them and they will tell you their story."
Gray sighed. "Did you have to go through the same thing with Sid?"
Forrest nodded. "He was more like Gabriel when I first met him. Over the years after the dragons disappeared he loosened up a bit and now likes to sleep whenever he can."
"Gray," they turned as Sara ran over. "We might have found something." She stopped, looking between the two boys with suspicion. "What were you talking about?"
"Nothing." They answered at the same time. Lucy and Natsu laughed behind them. All three glared back at them. "Anyways, we may have found where the key is located." They all turned a corner to found themselves at the end of the cave were a small body of water was there. Gabriel looked down. "It seems to be deep. Sid can you see anything?"
Sidell peered down into the water. "It's faint but something is shining at the bottom." Sara walked over and touched the water, pulling her hand out quickly. "It's freezing! We'll die of hypothermia if we jump in."
"Juvia can check." Juvia offered. "The cold wouldn't affect Juvia's body."
"You sure?" Juvia nodded and walked towards the water. As she steps in her body becomes liquefied and she sinks into the water. They could not see her but the top of the water was moving slightly. "That's my Juvia. So amazing." Lyon praised.
It was not until a few minutes later when Juvia emerged from the water. "Well?" Gabriel asked. Juvia smiled and held up a small blue key that had the same scale-like features as the other key, hanging from a white string. Forrest stretched his hand out, which Juvia was about to take until he quickly grabbed the key and left her in the water. "Forrest!"
Forrest was too busy staring at the key he did not see Sid's fist hit his head. He yelped and held his head as Lyon helped Juvia out of the water. "Forrest could at least helped Juvia out of the water."
"Your fine you're made of water." This earned him another punch.
"This is great, we already have two keys." Sara cheered, taking the blue one. "We definitely will beat Draven this time." They were about to leave when they felt the ground shake. "What's going on?"
A side of the wall broke off and Lucy gasped as a large, white Vulcan walked through, growling at them. "Jayde did say this was protected by a Vulcan."
Natsu smiled, "Bout time. I've been wanting a fight." Without thinking he charged at the beast. "Natsu." Lucy shouted.
"FIST OF THE FIRE DRAGON." He jumped up and was about to punch the Vulcan in its face with his fists on fire but the Vulcan's large hand came and slap Natsu to the opposite side. "Natsu." Happy flew over to make sure he was alright. Everyone else got in position when they were stopped by Sidell. "Training begins now Forrest."
Forrest smirked and walked over. "Watch and learn dragon slayer." Natsu grumbled, muttering 'bastard' under his breath. The Vulcan went to hit him but his rock barrier protected him. Forrest then jumped up, waving his hands, causing some of the water to come out of the pool and hit the Vulcan in the face. It stumbled back. Forrest then blinked as pieces of the mountain attacked the Vulcan at different points on his body.
"Forrest is amazing when he fights." Gray admired. Forrest reminded him a bit of Natsu. As thick headed as the two were, they had their serious moments, especially in fights.
"You too Lucy." Lucy turned from Forrest to look at Gabriel, who was pointing at the Vulcan. "Me?"
"It's a great time to practice you spirit channeling." Lucy pouted but the severe look on Gabriel's face was scaring her. Natsu patted her back, kissing her softly before she stood up and walked towards Gabriel. "We need to hurry, so I want you to channel Loke's spirit right now." Lucy nodded and took a deep breath.
"Hey, this is my fight." Forrest growled, noticing Lucy.
"Pay attention then." Sara shouted, but before Forrest could look the Vulcan swung and Forrest hit the wall. Natsu started laughing.
"Now Lucy."
Lucy held up her hands, feeling Loke's energy rise in her. "REGULUS BEAM." Out of her hands came the gold-orange light that surrounds Loke and hit the Vulcan straight in the gut, knocking it out. "That was amazing Lucy." Lisanna praised. Lucy smiled back, feeling a bit faint and wobbled a bit. Because Loke was the leader of the 12 zodiac spirits to channel his spirit took a lot more power. Lisanna noticed and grabbed her arm to make sure she did not fall.
Natsu noticed and took Lucy from Lisanna, wrapping his arms around her waist. "We better go before it gets back up." Happy says. Everyone nodded and left.
Once they were out of the cave they began planning their next move. "Two locations are left. We can split off by guild; Lamia Scale head to ;;;;, while we will head to Worth Woodsea."
"Worth Woodsea?" Happy thought about it before gasping. "Isn't that…"
"Yeah Happy, that's where Nirvana was at." Natsu nodded. Sara remembered Lucy telling them that story; that's when they met Wendy and Carla and she joined right after her guild's souls were all put to rest.
"Alright, let's head…" "Lisanna, everyone, can anyone hear me." Everyone froze at the sudden voice. "Mira-neesan?" Lisanna wondered, hearing her sister's voice.
It was then something came to mind to Happy. "Oh you guys, I forgot, Cana gave me something before we left." Happy reached around inside his little green sash and pulled out one of Cana's communication cards. "You had this the whole time?" Sara growled as Lisanna took it. "Mira-neesan?"
"Oh Lisanna, thank goodness, I was afraid for a minute."
"Is everything alright?" Gabriel asked.
"Levy was looking at the notes and discovered a pattern in the notes."
"You guys" Levy's voice came next. "Even though the attacks are scattered through Fiore, the movement from one to the next plus the time indicates that they are going in one direction: North."
"North?" Gabriel sighed, "That's the way of the Worth Woodsea." So there's a chance we will be the ones running into him.
"There's something else. Master needs you all to return to Fairy Tail this instance."
"We can't return, we already have two keys." Sara said, still holding the blue one.
"I'm sorry but it's very important you do. The Magic Council has more information about this and are requesting you guys."
Gabriel sighed, knowing at this point they could not be on the bad side of the council. "Alright, we'll be there in two hours."
"Thank you. Be safe." They heard nothing else.
"We really are going back?" Forrest asked. Sidell nodded, looking at Gabriel. "We are at least ahead of them. For now let's find out what the council wants."
"We best hurry to catch the train."
"TRAIN?"
"Hey brother," Shouta turned to see Silas picking up a purple flower and stroke the petals. "Do you think this will work? Master Draven's plans."
Shouta looked down from the cliff they sat at. All he could see were mountains of rock as the sun was slowly going down. "Who knows?" It was not in their place to question but to obey.
Silas smiled slightly, still stroking the flower. "Sidell, Forrest, Jayde, Sara, Jaron, Gabriel, Lucy. Seven...no...five against three. This will be so fun. Forrest still looks as cute as ever. Not wearing a shirt I could see his smooth skin. Not a scar on it. Makes me want to run my claws all over." With that Silas crushed the flower in his hands and he laughed. Shouta just stared, unamused, which Silas scoffed. "Which on are you thinking of brother? Sara or Gabriel." When Shouta did not answer Silas sighed. "Gabriel it is then."
"Wrong as usual brother."
"Then who?" Silas was taken back when he took in his brother's figure. Even though his face was calm his eyes were tense. "Brother?"
"Silas, their partners are problem, aren't they?"
"Partners? Oh, you mean the Fairy mates they have. I guess you have a point since they get their magic source from the three." Silas shrugged. "They still are not a problem. Remember their smell from the archives? Lucy and Gabriel haven't even completed the mating bond. Of course Sara would be the first."
"You think they are worried?" The question stunned Silas. Why were they talking about this? "You remember the story of their mother that the Lord before told us. The dragon who never could stay with one person. The one who had more children than any other dragon but ended up killing every one of them out of her own selfishness. I cannot help, as Gabriel's oldest friend, but worry. After all: I bet he hasn't told his mate of the time his own mother tried to kill him."
!
HI HI!
I hoped you liked this chapter!
I just wanted to point out something in case people did not understand but this is about Lucy's powers as a Celestial dragon. Mentioned in this chapter is something called spirit channeling where she can use her celestial spirits powers as her own.
For Forrest, his magic deals with what touches Earth and since technically snow is made from the sky then he cannot touch it unlike water from a stream or river that has come from earth.
If I confuse anyone please message me but other than that enjoy!
A little Author babble I am thinking of writing a new Fairy Tail story that is a crossover with...Attack on Titan, and of course Lucy will be the main character (cuz i love her). I just finished it a few weeks ago (I'm know I'm a little late) and thought of an interesting crossover between the two. Of course I am going to focus on this story foremost but I am going to start scuplting it out but chapters won't go up for a while so just a heads up for future stories by me!
HannickaCharm out!
P.s. Don't own anything from Fairy Tail
