The two teams were now racing through the woods trying to make it back to the guild. Each team split off in their own directions believing they were going the right way. Gajeel and Levy were heading down hill heading towards a creek they would have to cross, while Natsu and Lucy headed up hill to try to get a better view of where they were.

"Are you sure we're going the right way Gajeel?" Levy said as she was trying to keep up.

"Yeah just a little further."

Gajeel had remembered seeing a creek as they raced through earlier. He figured finding it would be a sign they were heading in the right direction. After a few minutes both of them have finally reached it.

"Do you think it's safe to cross?" Levy asked a little worried.

"It doesn't look that deep so as long as we hold on to each other we should be alright."

Gajeel was the first to step in to the water to check the depth. The water went up a little above his waist so he knew he'd be fine. He held out his hand for Levy to hold on to as she stepped in. Since she was really short, the water covered most of her body.

"Alright let's try to cross this as fast as possible." Gajeel said leading her through it. The current was strong because of the rain, but it seemed like he was able to handle it. Levy had some trouble trying to get through, but knew she'd be fine as long as she held on.

"We're almost to the other side." Gajeel tried reassuring her when suddenly he lost his grip and she was swept away by the water.

"HELP!" Levy yelled as she was swallowed by the water.

"LEVY!" Gajeel yelled as he tried to get to her. He kept thinking about how she wouldn't be able to swim against a current this strong. He kept trying to get close to her but it seemed like every time he got close the current would push her further from him.

"Damn it." he thought to himself. "I can't let her drown because of me." he finally used all his strength to reach her and lift her out of the water so she could breath.

"HOLD ON I'LL GET US TO THE OTHER SIDE!" he yelled as he carried her over to land. Once they got on land he put her down and checked to make sure she was ok. She was crying since he got her out of the water, which made him feel worst for suggesting it.

"I'm sorry I thought it would be safe to cross. I didn't mean to…" Gajeel was cut off by Levy hugging him.

"THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME!" Levy cried. Gajeel was really shocked by Levy hugging him. No one had ever shown him anything like this before. The only thing Gajeel thought would be good was to just hug her back until she finally calmed down. After a few minutes she was calm and was able to stand up again.

"Are you alright to keep going?" Gajeel asked.

"Yeah I feel better now." she replied back.

"Good I'm glad you're ok Levy."

Levy smiled happy to hear that. At the same time she was also shocked by the way he said it which made her giggle.

"What's so funny?" Gajeel asked.

"When you went to save me you called me by my real name, and just now you did it again." Levy smiled.

"….WHAT?! I MEAN I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT SHRIMP!?" Gajeel yelled trying to hide his red face. Levy just smiled realizing how embarrassed he was.

As they both began to start back with the race Natsu and Lucy were still heading through the higher hills trying to get a bird's eye of the area.

"Hey Luce what made you think of this idea anyways?" Natsu asked.

"Well I figured we'd both have trouble remembering the way back, so I thought maybe getting a view of the whole area would help get us back."

"Oh I see."

Once they finally reached the top they both began looking for anything to help them get back to the guild.

"What is it we should be looking for anyways?"

"Anything that looks somewhat familiar from earlier when we went through the woods?" Lucy replied. Since she was new to the area she hoped that something would look familiar to Natsu so they could go as soon as possible.

"Well why didn't we just take the path we took from the earlier race?"

"Because that didn't lead direct back to the guild so it might have been a waste of time to do that."

After looking for a little bit to see if there was anything to help them, Natsu thought he spotted something.

"Hey Luce doesn't that look the college from here." Lucy checked where he was looking to see if it was.

"Yeah it kind of does." Lucy said shocked that he spotted it. "Geez you must have a good sight to be able to see that from here.

"Yep. " Natsu said. "Anyways now that we know which way to go, we should hurry."

"Right." Lucy replied.

As they both ran down in the direction they picked, Natsu thought about how great it was having Lucy for a partner. He knew that he wouldn't have made it this far without her. Lucy was definitely the brains of the team. She had helped him finish the puzzle and was supportive the whole time during the bike race. He was checking on her as they ran down the hill and saw she was having a little trouble cause of how rocky the hill was. He was relieved that they were almost at the bottom.

"Hey Lucy I think were close to finally making it to the bottom." Natsu said.

"Yeah I think so to. Hopefully it will be better than trying to run down this…" Just as Lucy was about to say how it was hard to run down the hill she lost her footing and fell.

"AHHHH!"

Natsu heard her yelling and turned around to see what had happened. When he saw her she was on the ground holding her ankle.

"LUCY!"
