Ok here's the 9th chapter, and this is where thorin nearly dies and Elsa and Bilbo save him. Only then does he trust them. Because in the hobbit thorin never trusted Bilbo until he saved him.
Elsa and Bilbo had continued to run, to catch up with Gandalf and the Dwarves.
When they'd finally gotten close, they stood behind a tree and the Dwarves stood there, trying to catch their breathes. Elsa and Bilbo were deciding whether they should continue with them or not.
"Where's Bilbo and Elsa? Where is our Hobbit and our snow queen?" Gandalf asked all around.
Elsa and Bilbo had caught up with them, still invisible.
The Dwarves were arguing with each other, wondering where the two were.
"I'll tell you what happened," Thorin said. "Master Baggins and Miss Elsa saw their chance and they took it. They have thought of nothing but their soft beds and warm hearthings since first they stepped out of their doors."
Elsa and Bilbo then stood behind a tree.
"We will not be seeing our Hobbit or snow queen again. They are long gone," Thorin finished.
They then took off the ring and stepped out from behind the tree.
"No, we aren't," Bilbo said as they came out.
"I've never been so glad to see anyone in my life," Gandalf said happily.
"Elsa, Bilbo," was all Kili said.
"However did you manage to get passed the goblins?" Fili asked.
The two just couldn't explain, they didn't want to reveal their secret because something didn't feel right.
"Well, what does it matter they're back," Gandalf said.
"It matters. I want to know," Thorin said. "Why did you two come back?"
"Look, I know you doubt us, and I know you always have. And you're right I often think of Bag-end," Bilbo said.
"And I often think of Arendelle and my sister," Elsa came in.
"I miss my books. And my armchair, and my garden. See, that's where I belong. That's home," Bilbo said. "That's why we came back, because you don't have one.
"And, I know what it's like to be forced out of your kingdom, the same thing happened to me, I ran away. I don't want you to have to go through the same thing" Elsa said.
"It was taken from you. But we will both help you take it back, if we can," Bilbo said.
Thorin had just stood still, as if he wanted to say something to them.
Just then, they heard the Wargs howling and coming toward them.
"Out of the frying pan," Thorin said.
"And into the fire," Gandalf finished. "RUN!"
After Gandalf yelled, they all started to run. While running, Elsa had created a bunch of icicle walls to slow the Wargs down.
The Wargs had chased them, then some had caught up. One jumped right in front of Elsa and Bilbo, then Bilbo stabbed it with his sword.
The other Wargs that came, the Dwarves fought them.
Then, they came to a cliff.
"Up into the trees! All of you!" Gandalf instructed.
The entire group started to climb into the trees for safety and to avoid the Wargs.
The Wargs surrounded the trees, jumping at them, trying to make the group fall. Then all of the Wargs turned, and they all saw him. Azog the Defiler. The oversized gundabad Orc, riding a white Warg.
The white Warg was a lot more vicious looking, and a lot bigger than any others.
The pale Orc then yelled something and the Wargs charged and started to jump at the trees. They were tearing the trees, trying to make them collapse and some of the Dwarves nearly fell. The trees then started to tip, making the next one each hit tip.
Gandalf then grabbed a pinecone, lit it on fire, and then threw it at the Wargs making them back up.
He then tossed more lit pinecones to the others and then that part of the forest was blazing with fiery light.
The tree near the cliff then started to rock, and then it tipped, hanging over the cliff. Along with a couple of the Dwarves hanging on for their lives.
Thorin had, had enough. He looked to the pale Orc, his eyes filled with hate. And he slowly started to walk up to him, wielding nothing but Orcrist.
"Thorin! What are you doing?!" Elsa yelled to him.
He then started to run up to the Defiler, getting ready for another showdown.
Then, Azog on the back of his white Warg, made her jump, and knock Thorin to the ground.
Thorin got back up, but in seconds, Azog rode toward him and hit him with his mace, knocking Thorin back down. The white Warg then grabbed Thorin with her mouth, and she chewed him up. Thorin hit her with the hilt of his sword, and the Warg tossed him, making him roughly hit a big boulder.
Then, another Orc had started to walk up to Thorin, wielding a sword.
Elsa and Bilbo looked, and knew they had to do something.
Bilbo then drew his sword, and Elsa put her hand up readying to use her powers.
As the Orc was about to strike Thorin, Elsa blasted the sword out of its hands.
Bilbo then jumped and it, knocking it to the ground, and he killed it.
"You will not touch him again!" Elsa said as she and Bilbo went up to guard Thorin.
More Orcs riding on Wargs then started to come toward the two. Then the Dwarves ran up and attacked them.
The ones that were able to get to Elsa and Bilbo had no luck at them.
Bilbo had struck them swiftly with his sword, And Elsa created a flurry to blind them and then freeze them.
Azog then started to come to them, trying to kill them both.
Ori and Dori, who were hanging from the tree still had fallen. As they fell, a giant eagle had flown underneath them, and they landed on its back.
Then, more eagles had come in. They got them all out and dropped the Wargs off the cliff.
One eagle grabbed Elsa and Bilbo in its talons, then it dropped them on another one's back.
One of those eagles had grabbed Thorin's body, and then they were all out of there.
The eagles had continued to fly into the sunrise, and then they dropped the group off at a different part of the mountain, where they were safe.
Gandalf went up to Thorin, who was still out cold and wounded. Gandalf then started to do some chanting to heal Thorin. After he finished, Thorin woke up and asked Gandalf, "Where are the Halflings?"
"It's all right, Bilbo and Elsa are here. They're quite safe," Gandalf replied.
Elsa and Bilbo were standing a couple feet away from the Dwarves. Thorin then got up and looked angrily at them.
"You! What were you two doing? You nearly got yourselves killed!" Thorin said to them.
He then started to walk up to them.
"Did I not say that you would be the burden's? That you would not survive in the wild? And that neither of you had no place amongst us?"
Elsa then just slightly put her head down.
"I have never been so wrong in all my life," Thorin said as he hugged them both.
"I'm sorry I doubted you two," Thorin said.
"I would've doubted us two. I'm no hero or a warrior. Not even a burglar," Bilbo said.
"And I'm none of those things either. I'm just a queen of an ice castle. I'm no longer the Queen of Arendelle," Elsa said.
Then, the eagles left and flew back the way they came.
Then, the entire group had went up and looked in the direction of the sunrise. There they saw the Lonely Mountain.
"Erebor the Lonely Mountain, the last of the great Dwarf kingdoms of Middle Earth," Gandalf said.
"Our home," Thorin said.
"The birds are returning to the mountain," Gloin said.
"That, my dear, Gloin, is a thrush," Gandalf said.
"But, we'll take it as a sign. A good omen," Thorin said looking to Elsa and Bilbo.
"You're right, I do believe the worst is behind us," Bilbo said.
ok, that's the last chapter of ones that do with an unexpected journey. Next chapter comes from Desolation of Smaug. Sorry I took so long in updating, I've just had some more important things to do. By the way I've searched some things about the hobbit, and I found out that the white Warg is female. Yeah I didn't call it "she" for nothing. So I hoped you enjoyed this chapter. Please read, review, and enjoy.
