Howard, Heidi and Elly waited in the house. They were all sitting on the kitchen for the return of Randy or Maleva but they were taking their time. The three teens had remained silent and their conversations had been limited to glances and short looks at one another. Amongst the glances Heidi noticed that Elly had pulled out an old picture that she was looking at.

"Hey, um...Elly. Sorry to bother you but who's in that picture?" asked Heidi

Elly looked up from the picture and then back to the picture. Elly turned it around to show a young woman with long blond hair with green eyes, she wore a long white blouse and and long black skirt and looked about three months pregnant.

"That's my mom, the only picture I have of her." said Elly as she handed Heidi the picture "That's her while she was pregnant with me and my sister."

"You have a sister?" asked Heidi

"Yeah, but my mom took her when she escaped." said Elly with a little sadness in her voice.

"Escaped, I thought that was impossible." said Howard joining in the conversation.

"Hard, not impossible. When we were around three years of age she decided that she'd had enough of my dad and that it was time to leave. Just as the sun was going down she set a couple of houses on fire. While everyone was distracted by the fire and the transformation, she escaped with my sister." explained Elly looking at the picture.

"Then, why are you still here?" asked Heidi

"I was scared by the fire so I hid, my mom looked for me and called for me, but I was too scared to answer. So in the end she must've thought that one kid was better than neither. I have a full grown sister out there that I've never met." said Elly

"That's messed up." added Howard

"I get it, I mean I lived with my dad until I was ten. I only stayed because I didn't know any better." said Elly

Just at that moment the back door was opened and the three of the teens dropped down to hide down.

"Calm down, its me." said Randy as he came in.

Randy dropped Mort on one of the couches and placed the bags on the floor before looking to the other teens.

"Cunningham, what's the situation?" asked Howard

"The town's on lock down, the town decided to hold a ceremony at seven before eating your dad. Don't worry, he's only drugged. Oh Howard, I brought you something." said Randy as then handed Howard his crossbow

"Oh, yeah. I missed this bad boy." said Howard as he loaded the weapon.

"That's great. What about Maleva?" asked Heidi

"Elly, Elly come in." Malta's voice called out

Everyone looked around until they found a radio walkie talky behind the tea pot on the kitchen counter. Elly picked it up and answered it.

"Grandma, where are you?" asked Elly through the radio.

"I'm near the abandoned station on the western end of town, there's a road here that could take us to the next village but as long as the townsfolk are blocking the streets I won't be able to get to you." said Maleva through the radio

"Not to mention that when the sun comes down its an animal party out there." said Howard as he strapped on his crossbow.

"Right, we have to do something about that." said Randy thinking to himself.

Escaping from this town was not going to be easy. The town was armed to the teen during the day and wild beasts at night, neither one was an ideal time for an escape.

Randy then had a very wrong idea that made him shudder.

"What's wrong?" asked Heidi

Randy walked up to Elly and took the radio.

"Maleva, you've been doing research on this curse fort many years, right?" asked Randy

"Yes, a very eerie curse and a very powerful one at that." said Maleva

"Word for word, what does that curse say?" asked Randy

"The curse said that only when the townsfolk eat someone with the blood of Ban Weivern will the curse be broken. But this old Romanian magic is very vague and hard to comprehend." said Maleva through the radio

"Alright, thanks Maleva. We'll be in touch, stay out of sight." said Randy before handing the radio back to Elly

"What are you going on Cunningham?" asked Howard

"Look, we're not going to get out of here as long as everyone in this town turns into a werewolf every night. If we break the curse they might leave us alone." suggested Randy

Suddenly Heidi began laughing.

"Whats exactly is your plan Randy? Wait here for Elly to turn and eat one of us with a side of potatoes and carrots?" asked Heidi

"It's a bit of a savage idea." added Howard

"I don't like it anymore than you guys, but I believe there's a way around it. The curse said that someone from the town must eat someone that has that guy's blood. However, there isn't anything that says that they have to eat that person whole." explained Randy

Everyone stood silent at what Randy was suggesting. He wasn't wrong, they had to get out of this town and if they broke the curse then escaping would be much easier.

"How much exactly are we talking about? Like a finger?" asked Elly

"Yeah. Only question is, who's finger is going into be eaten?" asked Howard

"Yeah, and then we have to explain why one of us suddenly is missing a finger." said Heidi completely against the idea.

"We are weighing this to being violently torn to pieces by an angry mob of werewolves...so not it." said Howard.

"WHAT?! Howard, this isn't who gets to do laundry this week. This is about who gets to lose a finger or a chuck of flesh." said Heidi

"Well, what do you suggest? Draw straws?" asked Howard

Elly then placed her hand between the siblings with three sticks sticking out of it. They turned to face her with raised eyebrows.

"Don't give me that look, I'm the one that has to eat it." said Elly

Howard and Heidi looked at each other, showing that neither of them liked the idea. Begrudgingly they each grabbed one of the sticks and then looked at them.

"I demand a recount." said Howard as he held a short stick.

"Howard, please don't make this any more difficult than it is." said Randy

"I have my crossbow." said Howard aiming his crossbow

"You're not going to shoot us Howard." replied Randy

Howard let out a frustrated sigh and then handed the crossbow to Randy.

"Alright Howard, which part would you like us to cut? I cannot believe that I said that." said Randy

"Ok, not my fingers, not my toes, and not any of my vital organs, I'm currently using those. How about a chunk of muscle from my shoulder?" asked Howard

"I guess that could work." said Elly

Howard pulled up his shirt and Randy brought a knife and a bottle of whisky from the kitchen. Heidi and Elly both tried to keep Howard from running as soon as he spotted the knife. Howard struggled against their restrains but then Randy placed his hand on Howard's shoulder.

"Ready?" asked Randy

"No, wait! Are you sure we have to do this?" asked Howard trying to flee

"Howard. You lost fair and square, now we do this quick and painless or not?" asked Heidi

"I'm a victim of circumstance." replied Howard

"Ok, 1 2 3!" said Randy as the scene changes to the outside of the house and Howard's scream echoed in the house.

Minutes later Howard was drinking from the bottle of whisky to numb the pain and Randy was using the Art of Healing on him.

"I hate you all so much right now." said Howard looking at Randy, Heidi and Elly.

Randy finished healing Howard and then went to the kitchen, and taking the bottle of whisky with him.

In the kitchen the girls were looking at the piece of meat with a little disgust. Randy joined them and completely understood the feeling that the pound of flesh caused.

"Well, bottoms up?" asked Randy

"I'm not eating raw meat, we should at least cook it." said Elly

They began to cook the slab of flesh on a pan along with some potatoes and peas. After almost thirty minutes Elly sat down on the table with the piece of meat on a plate with some other food. Howard looked at them and gave them a dirty look and the finger.

Elly grabbed her knife and fork and began to eat. Bite after bite the flesh went down her throat. And in every bite Randy and Heidi had to help her, and themselves, not to throw up. After five eternal minutes, the plate was empty.

"That was easily one of the most disturbing things I've ever had to see." said Randy

"I'll be a vegetarian for the rest of my life." said Elly as she swallowed her glass of water.

Heidi however went to the bathroom to throw up and was then followed by Howard. After a short while both of the Weinerman children returned with their faces being green.

"I wanna go home." said Howard

"Me too." said Heidi

"The town is meeting at the main pub in about an couple of hours, so right now we have to wait." said Randy

Time passed as the teens prepared for their epic escape. Once the clock struck quarter to seven the teens began to move. After a short walk through the woods they were able to see the old abandoned station.
