"So you want this guy to get your mom back?" Greg, Molly's boyfriend asked.
Molly nodded. "Yeah. I think that even though he did some bad stuff in the past, he really could make my mom happy."
Greg nodded. "What did he do? I mean you talk about this guy like he is great, but what did the big bad Leon do to make your mom so mad at him?"
Molly hadn't told Greg about who Loki really was. Not because she didn't trust him really, but she wasn't sure it was the best idea to tell people her mom dated and is in love with the alien who tried to take over the world. She wasn't so sure anyone could really respond to that in a positive way.
"Well, he hurt some people and lied about it. I think that was the worse part, that he lied."
Greg raised an eyebrow. "And your not afraid he will hurt your mom?"
Molly stopped walking at Greg's question. She looked at him with a frown.
"No, I'm not. That's not who he is anymore."
"How can you be sure?"
"I just am okay?! You don't even know him Greg, so stop acting like you do."
Greg held his hands up in defense.
"Whoa, calm down. I'm just trying to say is that you never know what someones true intentions are. People don't just change Molly, sometimes they can move up from who they were but that's not usually the case with criminals. One way or another they end up hurting the people around them all over again, even the ones they care about."
Bella paced back and forth in her apartment. what should she do? It had been a week since she broke things off with Loki. Telling him she couldn't see him anymore. This was something easier said than done though. Most days she was either working shows, bar-tending, or at her computer typing away at what she believed would be a masterpiece. He thought and feeling always coming back to Loki and how much she missed him. What Bella did not know is Loki was at the bottom of her building at that very moment thinking of what he was going to do when he got up there.
His plan was to be aggressive. Force her to look at him and see the mistake she had made by leaving him. Pacing at the bottom of the building Loki's thoughts were interrupted for a moment running into a man trying to get into the building.
"Excuse me." Loki said politely trying his best not to get angry with the mortal for interrupting hiss train of thought. The man said nothing but peered down at Loki for a moment being as he was indeed a good head taller than Loki, with a look of distaste. The man then pushed a button buzzing a tenant.
"Cable." Was all he said, his voice deep and scratchy.
The door buzzed allowing the man inside. Loki rolled his eyes. Oh if only that man knew exactly who he was looking down upon. He would have trembled with fear. No. Loki thought to himself, those days are over. After another 8 minutes of internal debate Loki finally managed to try an make his way in. He hesitated as he was about to buzz her. Loki couldn't let her know he was here, knowing she may very well not wish to see him, so he waited for another to come or go, so he may slip in through the open door.
Bella sat at her computer typing away and sighed.
Knock knock knock, came from her door. Bella made her way to it slowly and looked through her peep hole. She the frowned opening the door.
"Can I help you?" She asked the man standing in front of her.
"Cable." Was all he said. Bella took a moment to notice how tall this man was.
"I'm sorry, you have the wrong door, I don't need cable."
The man simply gave a small smile. One that actually mad Bella a little uncomfortable.
"You don't need cable, no. However, I happen to need you."
Before Bella could react the man struck her, and everything went black.
Loki listened to the elevator go ding as he reached Bella's floor. Calmly but with good pace, Loki made his way to her door. However, as he approached it a sense of dread came over him, her door was open. Loki pushed the door open slowly and look around.
"Isabella?" He called out, to which he got no response. He quickly searched the room to look for her with no luck. In the living room however was a small device Loki did not recognize. With caution Loki touched the small circular device that in response glowed. A blue hologram made itself visible. A man appeared, the cable man from earlier.
'Hello Loki of Asgard, you are probably wondering what is happening."
The man then morphed into and alien of recognition. His skin a grey-purple color and eyes that glowed blue.
'Recognize me yet?'
This man, not not a man, this creature was one who followed the one man Loki had grown to fear.
'Perhaps he will jog your memory.'
Another man of larger form but same basic features came into view.
"Thanos." Was all Loki said.
'Hello there Loki, its been a while. Did you really think you could hide from us forever? We made a deal and you did not hold up your end. Thus you know the price, your own falling. As you probably have noticed we took some...collateral, I suppose.'
It was then Isabella was put into view. She was asleep and unharmed for the moment, chained to a floor. Loki shook with anger.
'A lovely pet you have Loki, perhaps I'll keep her for my own entertainment. However I suggest you make your way to us, you know the way, very soon, or your lovely pet may end up no longer very lovely. Goodbye Loki of Asgard.'
"No!" Loki shouted as the hologram shut off. Loki knew he would need help if he wished to keep Bella as well as himself alive. How dare he take her from him. Loki felt foolish for letting her come into harms way, this was all his fault.
"What do you mean she's gone?!" Molly shouted at Loki. Greg put a hand on her shoulder.
"She was taken by a monster who wants me. I promise you I will get her back, but you must go back to your father and stay with him." Loki said calmly.
"But I want to help get her back!" Molly cried. Loki looked down at the child with sad eyes.
"I know, and you are helping, by staying safe. I will not lose you both again. Go to your father, let him know to keep you and himself safe, I do not know how far Thanos is willing to go to get to me, but if he took your mother I am sure he will take you too."
"He's right Molly, we got to get you to your dads." Greg said backing Loki up. Loki gave the boy a small smile.
Molly nodded with small tears in her eyes. She then took a deep breath before looking at Loki.
"Bring her back."
Loki nodded. "I will."
"Oh my god." Pepper cried out, covering her mouth. Tony clenched his fists.
"We need to assemble the others, as much as I wish to go about this alone, I am going to need all the help I can get."
Tony nodded. "I hear you man, she's my friend too. Jarvis! Get a hold of everyone, including S.H.E.I.L.D and have them meet me here, asap, no exceptions, this is a code red or whatever!
Loki nodded thankfully.
"But Loki, I got to know, what are we up against exactly?"
Loki sighed. "The Chitauri, were a mere glimpse of what we are up against. Thanos's army is stronger and bigger, should we chose to engage him in battle it would be a full on war, not only for Asgard, should I get my father to help, but for earth as well. Thanos lives to destroy, and that is exactly what he will do should we lose."
"Alright then, full throttle, punch to the throat, kick to the balls, hair pulling, eye poking, look-over-there-what-is-that-oh-its-my-fist full on war, gotcha."
