Fairy Tail Model Guild 9
Chapter 9:The Days That Passed
"So that's what happened." Seth said after being filled in by the other three. "Nathan," He continued "what was the 'incident' exactly?"
Nathan sighed "When I was in 5th grade my parents wanted me to do extracurricular activities at school to make friends so they found me this work shop class with only one other kid in it, Dillan. Dillan was told that the class was the best there was so he took it and was always trying to impress the teacher. Our teacher was , my parents were always working and were barely home the only way I knew they still existed were the notes they left. So was like a father to me and Dillan and I barely got along, like he said I was very rebellious and anti-social. He would try to talk to me and I would ignore him. Then one day Dillan was absent and I wasn't following directions and I nearly killed myself with a tool I didn't know how to use. saved me but the classroom was totaled he got fired later that day. Of course it was my fault. So when Dillan came back the next day I told him,by our teacher's request, that had died because of me. Ever since then he held a grudge aginst me and vowed to someday somehow surpass him. I didn't learn nothing from him, to this day I still enjoy working on static machinery like I did in his class."
"Do you know what happened to Samuels after that." Seth asked intrigued. "No, but Dillan moved soon after." "Samuels, Samuels." Kornelia repeated the name. "Where have I heard that before." She closed her eyes concentrating.
"You recognize the name Kornelia?" Nathan asked.
"Yes but I'm not sure...where."
Kornelia's eyes snapped open. "Nathan," Kornelia said pointing to him. "Dillan said he was working for the mayor in the next town right."
"Y-yeah." Nathan stuttered, due to having to awnser on the spot.
"And the name of the mayor there," She paused for effect "Samuels."
"What!?" Everyone said at once.
"Yes," Kornelia nodded "So he's with Raven now I wonder what he plans on doing."
"Ah, so you figured it out." Dillan said "No wonder my brother was with you so much you really are an interesting character Kornelia
A voice came from atop the building.
"Dillan." Nathan said
"How the heck did you get on the roof?" Evelyn asked.
"That doesn't matter." Dillan said. "What does matter is that you're interfering with my work."
"Dillan," Nathan said
"You know is alive."
"Yes, you kept it from me, if I keep working for him I'll someday become better than him and I'll finally have my dream."
"What's the point of all this Dillan?"
"The point? You're asking what's the point of having a dream? If you don't have a dream what are you working towards? Nothing. And I'll do anything to achive my dream."
"Dillan what is your dream anyway." Nathan asked.
"Like I'd tell you, but right now I'm just trying to surpass now if you'll excuse me," "You already have." Nathan interrupted.
"What?"
"You have surrpased him, he's a Mayor of a small town plotting aginst a guild that's done nothing you are technically running Raven, the guild he is working for, you have surrpased him Dillan."
Dillan laughed,"You think I run Raven Tail."
"What do they do without you besides ambush."
"I still work under them."
"What would they be without you, they know that they don't work well without you but they won't tell you. You can do better things, follow your real dream."
Dillan smiled,
"You've grown up Nathan."
"So have you."
Nathan extended his hand which Dillan reluctantly shook.
"Hug, hug, hug, hug." Evelyn chanted. Kornelia elbowed her and shook her head stoping Evelyn before Dillan and Nathan payed much attention.
"So, Dillan," Nathan started "where are you going now."
"I Guess," Dillan chuckled dryly and shook his head as if what he was about to say was completely ridiculous,"I guess I'm going home."
The five walked back to the client's house. Kornelia and Evelyn both made sure they didn't make the same mistake as last time. "No suspicious activity?" The man questioned. They all shook their heads. "They might've known we were coming." Seth suggested. "Well thanks for the help,and...was he here before?" He asked pointing to Dillan. "No," Nathan answered "he's a friend we ran into."
"Hey, Nathan's in a better mood," Robin pointed out "could it be this guy was the source of your troubles?" She asked closing in on Dillan. "Yeah, but it's all good now we're fine." Nathan said quickly before anything violent (knowing Robin) happened. She gave him a 'I've got my eye on you' look before everyone fled back to Fairy Tail.
"Say hi to Darren for me!" Kornelia yelled after Dillian as he walked off.
"Take care!" Evelyn yelled.
Without turning his back Dillan put up his hand showing he heard what they said.
Nathan smiled before saying to
himself "Chase your dreams." After a while Dillan almost disappeared into the setting sun. Though, clear as day, you could see him holding up his hand in the Fairy Tail 'L' sign.
Soon everyone else was too.
Once Dillan was out of sight they went back into the guild for a short while.
Seth and Nathan left to where ever they lived and Kornelia and Evelyn headed towards Fairy Hills.
"Man," Kornelia started "today was an interesting one."
"Yeah," Evelyn said "I guess everyone has a story to tell."
"What about you?"
"Huh?"
"What's your story?"
Evelyn smiled "Not telling."
"Aw come on," Kornelia complained.
"Nope."
Their conversation continued like this until they got to their rooms.
"Fine." Evelyn agreed "I'll tell you eventually."
"Deal?" Kornlia stuck out her hand.
Evelyn hesitated."..."
"Come on."
Evelyn slowly outstretched her hand. "Deal."
Kornleia, satisfied, opened the door to her room and said goodnight before entering. Evelyn soon did the same. After a long day a bed really does feel comfortable. Evelyn fell asleep almost instantly.
The next day Evelyn met up with Kornlia outside the dorms. "Feeling up to a job?" Kornleia asked. "Not really I'm still pretty tired from yesterday."
"Let's ask Seth and Nathan." Kornelia said. A single drop of water hit Kornlia on the head. It wasn't long before an all-out storm broke out. The two had to rush to the building before getting too wet. "It's raining." Kornelia said. "No, duh Einstein." A familiar voice said. "You makin fun of me Nate?!" Kornelia frowned. Nathan's lips curled into a smile "Bring it!"
"Hey, guys it's 8 o clock in the morning don't start fighting now." Evelyn lectured.
They ignore her and proceed to knock over tables and chairs until. "What are you two doing?" The stern voice stopped both of them dead. "Sorry Seth!" They apologized in unison. After a while everyone calmed down and sat at a nearby table. "Did you guys realize it's not very loud in here." Nathan pointed out.
"Yeah," Evelyn said looking at the depressed faces of her fellow guildmates. "What's going on?"
