Okay, for those of you who have told me to fix the mistakes in the first chapter, I can't. Not yet anyways. I'm working on it though, so be patient, please. However, if you'd like to read a bit into Aoa's past, go check out "The Song of the Lost Child" by my 'little sister' Lexus Manna. BTW, everyone, this is the first split POV chapter I've ever done, so please don't hate me if its bad... R&R every one.
Annabeth
Annabeth hated dresses, but she loved freaking Percy out and since he knew that she hated dresses, that's exactly what she wore. She had sent the newest arrival from Australia, Aoa, to get the impossible girl, Karma, and bring her back to the Aphrodite cabin to get dressed for the festival. After getting Karma decked out, it took about five rolls of duck tape, sixteen girls, two dresses, a very long rope, and about a half hour later they finally managed to wrestle Aoa into a pretty little number that wasnt too flashy with a half arm length sleeve and a sequence accent along the slight V-neck line. Annabeth wasnt sure who on Olympus this girls mother was, but she thought that Aoa could really use a claiming right then to get rid of all the dirt and grime that didn't wash away with the three waves of hot water that they had Karma send at her. After all that, Annabeth went into the "Borrowing closet" in the cabin, she came out in a stunning little dress that she was sure would leave Percy speechless, which wasnt that hard. Finally, the girls in all the camp were all dressed up and ready to trample the boys at the festival.
Time lapse...
Aoa was to the side of Karma who was beside Annabeth as they walked toward the boys who were escorting them. James, Dean, and Percy stood off to the side of the entrance to the mess hall. James was pacing nervously beside Dean who looked about ready to puke. Annabeth's gaze fell to Percy who was dressed in a clean light blue t-shirt and some black jeans that were probably the only pair he owned that didn't have holes in them. His hair looked like one of the Aphrodite guys had attempted to comb it with a hair dryer, but Percy still managed to look nice to Annabeth. He turned and saw the girls coming and hit Dean's shoulder. "Hey, Man. Look sharp, they're here. Whoa... " Percy said then trailed off.
they other boys stood at attention when he said that then lead their girls away for privacy. Annabeth spoke first. "Nice hair, Seaweed Brain. Did you do that by yourself?" she teased.
He blushed a bit then said, "yeah... I was trying to impress you I guess." He glanced down to his feet then slowly checked out the dress that Annabeth was wearing. "Um, Annabeth... Why are you in a dress?"
She grinned. "just for you." she slipped her arm through his. "Now, are you going to take me to that dance, or is this going to be like that surprise dinner in Paris?" she said, smiling wider at the memory. He grinned, then leaned down and kissed her. Then they walked into the dance.
Aoa
They put her in a dress. Aoa could not believe they actually got her in a dress. Aoa, the girl who had been on her own for so long that it almost seemed like a big joke when two kids in a chariot pulled by flying horses landed near the airport where she had landed with her hidden cat and her only companion in a long time, and told her that they were there to take her back to her new home in New York City. Long island to be exact. "Wha' the 'ell? I'm realleh sorry to tell you, bu' im no' 'ho your lookin' for, guys. Bu' ta anyway." she had told them, but eventually they pulled her on and almost knocked her out. Now, Aoa was standing in a dress. With a boy. In her greek demigod training camp. Wha' could go wrong? she thought. James had seen her coming after Dean was hit by Percy. He had stopped pacing and looked straight at Aoa. He pointed her off to the side so that they would give the couples privacy. "You look wonderful, Aoa."
"Ta, James, bu' I'm no' in'erested in.. guys." He gave her a strange look of confusion, so she explained herself. "NO, no I'm not into girls, I'm jus' no' lookin' for a rela'ionship, is all. Don' look sad, i's supose' to be a fun nigh', righ'?"
"Yeah, i guess you're right. let's... let's just go." he said, as he attempted to take her hand, but she moved it away. When seeing the hurt in his eyes, she couldn't help to feel a pinch of guilt, so she hooked her arm through his as they walked behind Percy and Annabeth into the dance.
Authors note (AN): I Know that i had said 'maybe tomorrow' but it turned into 'next week' because my computer got a virus so it was down for a few days... so, sorry. anyways, on to what you all have waited anxiously for, Karma's part.
Karma
After they dressed Karma up worse than a Barbie, she was lucky to not be wearing pink. Her dress was simple and yet had an elegance that Karma wasn't sure if she liked or not. Anyway, after the girls in the cabin all had the little bouncing girl held down, they had asked Karma to douse Aoa in warm water. Then later, all the girls, including Karma, had to duck tape her down to get her into her dress, the whole time, Karma was trying her best to not burst out laughing. So as the trio walked up to their guys, Aoa and Annabeth all but booked their way to the boys and Karma just walked calmly up to Dean.
"Close your mouth before you start attracting flies." she told him. He clapped his jaw shut and stood up straiter than what looked comfortable. "So, you were going to tell me something before Aoa popped in earlier?" Karma asked.
"Oh, uh.. yeah. I was just... it wasn't anything important. You look great, by the way." Dean told her.
"No, it's definitely important if you were going to say it, Dean. You can't win, so just tell me what you wanted to tell me." she demanded.
Dean sighed before answering her. "I was going to say... that I love you, Karma." She looked at him and saw that he was completely serious. He really was in love with her. His head was dropped and he looked like he would be sick, so Karma hugged him. He hugged her back and they stood like this for about a minute before separating. "So... ?" he asked.
"Well, I'm not sure it's love, due to earlier experience, but me too." she answered, kissing his cheek. She looked into his eyes before his leaned in and kissed her on the lips. She hesitated out of shock before kissing him back. when they came up for air, they grinned at each other and held hands as they walked into the festival.
Okay, you all better be happy, because this is the longest chapter I've written almost ever. 1,275 words. Now, since there's three POV's I need a few more than three reviews before I post the next chapter. so, yes, time to review, and don't be afraid to tell others about my story. thanks, Peace.
