Still don't own this.

"So what's everyone's weekend plans?" Sonic asked. The gang was under bleachers in the early Wednesday morning of the week. This was their official hang-out spot before the bell rang for school to begin.

"Well I gotta work at my Aunt's bar for Saturday and Sunday…" Rouge thought out loud.

"You know I got band practice Sunday night." Mina reminded with Ash nodding.

"I'm moving back to my mom's house Friday and I have dinner with Juile's family Saturday." Knuckles smiled wrapping his arm around his girlfriend's shoulder.

"Grounded." Shadow answered without hesitation.

"My part-time job begins Friday at Rotor's Repair Shop." Omega answered emotionlessly as usual.

"You got the job, man? Nice." Shadow congratulated his friend with a pat on the back.

Amy shrugged her shoulders innocently. "I don't have any plans yet for the weekend."

"PERFECT!" From the confines of his ripped blue backpack, Sonic handed each and every one of his friends a stack of colorful flyers. On each flyer was a picture of an old blue hedgehog with a grey mustache holding a chili dog. The flyer said:

UNCLE CHUCK'S CHILI DOGS!

GRAND OPENING!

SATURDAY 11 AM!

BE THERE,

OR BE A LOSER!

After reading the flyer, Mina sighed. "Well I certainly don't want to be a loser…"

Ash took the flyers from his girlfriend's hand and read it over. "This has Sonic's influences all over it."

Sonic took center stage. "In case you guys haven't heard, my uncle is opening his chili dog restaurant this weekend. So as my best friends, you guys are obviously invited to the grand opening which includes free regular chili dogs and fries! No free refills though."

Despite their plans for the weekend, the gang cheered and made a promise to try to make for the opening. Well…everyone except for Shadow and Tails.

"Wait a minute. Wait a minute." Shadow hushed everyone and glared at Sonic. "What's the catch?"

"Catch? What catch? There isn't any catch Shadow." Sonic replied clearly avoiding any eye contact whatsoever. Knowing that Sonic wouldn't cut the bullshit, Shadow turned to the one person that would tell the truth: Tails.

The yellow kitsune didn't even bother to look up from his large textbook when everyone's eyes turned to him. Tails sighed and said, "Uncle Chuck needs waiters and waitresses to run the place while he's kissing ass to the Acorns."

Everyone else groaned.

"I knew it!" Shadow threw his hands In the air. "Whenever you give us something nice, it always costs manual labor from us."

Sonic rolled his eyes. "Aw come on you guys. It's just a short job."

"Do we at least get paid?" Ash questioned. The group silently looked at Sonic for the answer.

"…..With experience." Sonic grinned causing the group to groan once again. Knuckles crumbled up the flyer and threw it at Sonic's forehead for an extra measure.

"I'll do it." Amy spoke out surprising everyone in the group.

"Wait…what?" Even Sonic was in shock by her answer.

Amy shrugged. "It sounds like an opportunity for a part-time job for me. Since I'm currently on a job hunt, I can't pass an opportunity like this."

Sonic jumped down to Amy's side and hugged her tight. "Thank you Ames! I knew I could count on you!"

Amy laughed while patting his back. "But I don't want to be paid with experience though…"

Julie-Su sighed. "If Amy is gonna be working with Sonic, then I have to go."

Tails nodded. "Definitely." Everyone else agreed leaving Sonic confused.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

It was history class for Amy and she shared with Shadow and Knuckles. From what she was told, Shadow and Knuckles got very good grades in history and that was absolutely true. They didn't bother to pay attention and would spend their time making jokes, playing pranks or sleeping if they were super tired. Unlike them, history was Amy's worst subject and she had to concentrate very hard on the class in order to get a passing grade. However, the teacher was extremely boring and her friends were extra distracting.

Knuckles and Shadow were passing notes again, since there was no talking allowed during a lecture. It was unfortunate for Amy since she sat between them and had to bridge the note from Shadow to Knuckles and vice versa. Sometimes they throw it over her head adding on to the distraction. Amy looked down at the notes she was taking only to realize she had been drawing all over her paper with silly pictures and cartoon.

Amy slammed her head on her desk. She wanted to cry so badly.

A note was thrown onto her desk. It was from Shadow.

What's wrong with you?

Amy wrote back with her favorite pink pen.

I'm gonna fail this class. I just know it….

Shadow wrote:

What? This class is fucking easy.

Amy frowned.

For you and Knuckles it is! I can't even write decent notes in this class!

She angrily showed Shadow her notes—aka her doodled paper. Shadow snickered and threw the note over her head and to Knuckles. Knuckles read their conversation and saw Amy's notes. He laughed too.

Knuckles wrote on the paper and passed it to Amy.

if you need us to tutor then just say so. pass this to shads.

Amy passed the note to Shadow and he nodded in agreement. Amy shook her head at both of them.

A cough from behind them made the trio turn their head to the back. Sitting behind Shadow was a lilac cat with golden eyes and a displeased frown. The cat had a ponytail on the top of her head that was wrapped in a red band and a ruby jewel piece on her forehead. She wore her uniform very strictly with no extra accessories and no part out of place. The cat folded her arms and whispered.

"Stop passing notes around. It's very distracting for those who are trying to learn."

"Oh shit, Blaze caught us. Whaddya gonna do? Turn us in to the 'Note-Passing Police'?" Knuckles whispered back sarcastically.

Blaze glared at the echidna. "If you don't, I'm going to report you and you two are going to detention for an even longer time."

"Uh oh. Snitch alert." The red echidna pointed his thumb at Blaze.

Shadow rolled his eyes. "Sorry Blaze. It seems you have parked your car in a crowded area. Specifically known as the 'Nobody Gives a Fuck' zone."

"Shut up or else I will—"

"Woah. Put the matches down kitty. I don't want you to burn my house, like you did Fiona's." Shadow smirked.

"That's not what happened and you know it, Hedgehog."

Knuckles scoffed. "That's not what we heard."

"Mr. Hedgehog. Ms. Rose. Mr. Echidna. Ms. Cat." The four students turned their heads to the front of the class to meet with the displeased look of their fox teacher, Mr. Miller. "Since you four are obviously paying attention in my class, let me give you a quiz."

Blaze, Knuckles and Shadow looked prepared, while Amy was in the process of panicking.

"Who was the earliest founder of Acorn Kingdom, Mr. Hedgehog?"

"Alexander Acorn the First." Shadow answered dully.

"How did Station Square come to be, Ms. Cat?"

"It used to be an underground city for humans before Xorda's attack on Earth. Once the humans found a Super Chaos Emerald, they used it to power the city." Blaze answered simply.

"What were the significant of Chao, Mr. Echidna?"

Knuckles sighed. "Chao were born from Chaos and were kept in tribes because they believed that Chao were the only way to commune with Chaos. Now they're just cute pets that can evolve."

Mr. Miller nodded. "And lastly, Ms. Rose…" Amy gulped and prepared for the worse. "Explain the events leading up to the Great War."

Amy stuttered as she tried to remember his lectures. She knew it was between the Mobians and Overlanders, but Mr. Miller asked for details. "Um…they didn't like each other…and…magic was involved….and….someone died?"

The class erupted in snickering and muffled laughter telling Amy that was far from the correct answer. Mr. Miller shook his head. "Well Ms. Rose, if you think that's correct, then you should write for me an five page paper on the history of the Great War and turn it in by next week."

Amy sighed in defeat. "Yes sir…"

The bell rang signaling the end of class. Amy, Shadow and Knuckles quickly gathered their items and were the first ones to leave the classroom. Knuckles laughed.

"Aw man! Wait until everyone hears about this!" Amy hung her head in embarrassment.

"I told you history is my worst subject! There's too much to remember! So many dates and events. Ugh, why does Mobian history have to be so complicated?!" She groaned.

Shadow patted her back. "How about this? We'll tutor you in history."

"I don't want to bother you guys—"

"Pfft!" Knuckles scoffed. "We tutor the others all the time. Everyone helps each other out. That's what friends are for."

"Oh…you guys thank you…" Amy smiled. "I don't know how to repay you guys."

Shadow shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Just let us know when its—"

"SHADOW!" The trio turned around to see what the commotions was about and suddenly, a white hedgehog with crazy quills ran past them screaming and yelling Blaze's name repeatedly. Seconds behind him, Sonic was chasing after him with an equally scared look on his face. Sonic ran past Amy and the others while shouting Shadow's name, but before Shadow could stop him, they saw Blaze the Cat angrily chasing Sonic with lighter in her hand.

Once everyone in the hallway saw Blaze, the crowd of students ran away from the pyromaniac cat, including several teachers. Blaze yelled after Sonic.

"GET BACK HERE SONIC THE HEDGEHOG! THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR HURTING SILVER!"

Shadow gave Amy his backpack and sighed. "I'll be back…"

As Shadow ran after the purple cat, Amy looked at Knuckles with scared a disturbed look on her face. "I thought you guys were kidding! I didn't know Blaze was an actual pyro!"

Knuckles nodded. "Yeah…Blaze has a problem. She'll be fine...just never bully Silver the Hedgehog."

"Don't Shadow and Sonic always mess with Silver?"

"Yeah, they never learn."

Blaze is a pyromaniac. My suggestion is to not do harm to Silver the Hedgehog. Of course Shadow and Sonic never learn...
