"Loki?" Sigyn asked softly, her head resting upon his chest as she lightly stroked it, sighing heavily, her brow furrowed. He looked down at her, running his hair over her hair lightly, playing with it slightly. "I am worried... About our family," she said, looking away from his face to the door. "Thor is gone and father may well never... Get around to undoing his banishment, which will hurt mother deeply... Perhaps too deeply and..." He placed his fingers to her lips as she looked back to him, their eyes meeting.
"As am I dearest love, but there is nothing we can do. All I know is that I must take fathers place and rule till he is once again well..."
"And brings Thor back, so his real heir is in place..." She closed her eyes, realizing how her words could sound, "I didn't mean that, I meant the way it's meant to go, with the eldest son being first in line and not..." She sat up, clinging the sheet to her chest as she did. "Oh Loki, what if those apes are doing thing's to him... Thing's with needles and knives and... And Machines that go bing..." She said, her hair enacting her words and fears, though with the last one even it seemed to give up. Her lover sat up, chuckling slightly as he wrapped his arms around her beneath the sheet, his hands exploring and massaging making her almost instantly relax, rolling her head back onto his shoulder as her eyes closed.
"You think too much, always have and always will... So much concern over Thor... You would almost think you liked him as you do me..." At this she rolled her eyes beneath the shut lids, he shrugged, pulling her closer, making her gasp silently. "Besides, I am next in line after him..." He licked up her neck, sending shivers through her, "and going by your reaction mere moments ago..." His hands cupped her breasts roughly, making her drop the sheet as her arms flopped away, "I think the next heir may well have been implanted within your fine womb, dearest sister..." At this Sigyn pulled away from him, standing up from the bed, her hair handing her robe which she tied around herself.
"Why must you ruin the mood with that..." She said, almost hissing as she crossed her arms, glowering as she looked back at him. He sighed heavily, rising to his feet as he put on his own robe. "I know we are siblings but... Really, of all times to say it I..."
"I never realised it upset you so much before," he said, raising an eyebrow at her, walking to where their clothes were splayed over the floor, picking out his items.
"It didn't used to but..." She looked to him, watching him dress after dropping his robe, "things have changed Loki, something which you seem not to want to discuss fully." She said, tugging him down so he sat upon the bed as she did.
"What is there to discuss that I have not just said, I shall be king if father does not wake, even if he does he may decide we are better off without Thor and then I will be crowned king, my first charge being to find a queen, which of course will be you... We will have to let it be known we are not siblings... Then you will carry my heir and we will rule Asgard together, as we always dreamed of..." He said, taking her hands in his, looking deeply into her eyes.
"Some dreams are meant to remain just that, Loki... What I meant most by change is our identity... As well as you. You have changed within yourself dearest Loki, you have never hurt me like you did before, made me ache yes, even make it so I cannot walk for a few days, but never ever hurt me. Not intentionally..." At this he sighed, scoffing slightly as he stood and continued to change.
"I have an aim now, Sigyn, if I am to be king then I must procure an heir... I will try to be more gentle next time, but needs must..."
"Needs can use his hand from now on if that is his frame of mind," she said, smirking as she raised an eyebrow, standing as she began to dress as well only to be forced to face him, his hand on her shoulder.
"You would not deny me... Would you?" He asked, unsure of her as he always was with her and her threats. She shrugged, licking her lips as she continued to dress, Loki remained silent, watching her as she made her way towards the door, stopping she turned to face him, smirking still.
"Deny you? No, but as your future queen, I will warn you... These legs will close when they must, to make sure it is more than just lust that goes between them..." She winked at him, offering her hand to him. "We best go to mother and father, I hate leaving her alone for too long while he's not with us." He looked to her, smirking as she pouted at him, walking over he took her hand.
The two walked to where their father was laid, where their mother sat at his bedside, her hand placed upon his. Upon hearing the door open she looked up, smiling softly at the two, Sigyn made her way over to her, cuddling her as she kissed her cheek before sitting at her side, head resting against her lap as she looked at the mighty king who lay unmoving. Loki walked to the other side of the bed, sitting as their mother was, staring at their father as his sisters hair was tenderly stroked by Frigga. They sat in silence for a while, mother and daughter sharing looks of purest love and adoration, both trying the same with Loki but were ignored.
"I never get used to seeing him like this," he said softly, getting his sisters attention immediately, a small sad smile upon her lips.
"He's put it off for so long now," their mother said, stroking their fathers hand gently, "that I fear..." She sighed, not finishing the sentence, Sigyn went to her knees, holding her, trying to support her as best she could.
"How long will it last?" Loki asked, eyes remaining upon Odin, missing the disproving look that his sister now shot him.
"I don't know. This time it's different, we were unprepared." She replied, confusing Sigyn even more. She lightly put her hands on her mothers lap, looking up at her, her confusion clear upon her face.
"You mean... This has happened before, mother?" She asked, making the older woman chuckle slightly, cuddling her daughters head close.
"He may tell you that one dear, when he is well enough to," Sigyn nodded, bowing her head slightly.
"So why did he lie?" Her brother asked, earning both women's attention once again, the sadness now returned to his sisters face as she looked at her hands, watching to see if they dared to change on cue.
"He kept the truth from you so that you would never feel different. You are our son, Loki, just as your sister is our daughter, and we, your family." Frigga said as Sigyn silently made her way to her brothers side, taking up the same position as she had with their mother the moment she saw the possible threat of tears. "We mustn't lose hope that your father will return to us, and your brother." She said, making the princess smile brightly, nodding.
"What hope is there for Thor?" Loki asked, stroking his sisters hair absent-mindedly, making her lean into his touch more, almost purr.
"There's always a purpose to everything your father does," she said softly making her daughter snigger slightly.
"I do hope you never say that around Thor, I can imagine him borrowing it for himself when he is king..." She yelped as she felt a fist pull at her hair, her mother leaned over, brow furrowed. "I have told you Loki... Your clothing is always catching my hair... It is a wonder I have any left after all this time..." She said, shooting her brother a look, earning only a glare.
"I think it is best you both get some sleep, today has been a very tiring day for you both, and Gods know what tomorrow may bring with it if the past days are anything to go by... Loki, will you guide your sister to her chambers?" He nodded, pulling his sister to her feet, he went to their mother kissing her cheek lightly, Sigyn doing the same.
"Good night mother, sleep well if you can, please try..." Their mother smiled kindly, rubbing her arm gently.
"I shall try my dear, if only you will do the same... I trust that you will, no go on... I think your brother needs you..." She said, before Loki lead his sister out of the room, closing the doors behind them.
