"Darkness is our ally, but not an ally that we allow to control us. That is the true weakness of the Sith. You are not Sith, my sons. You are Uchiha. You are and always will be stronger than them because you with have complete control over the Dark Side. It is your weapon, your closest partner in battle, and the power that drives you. Feed off of the fear of your enemy. When you drive him to to his knees, you hold his life in your hands. When that time comes, let him live to tell others of your power. Some with fear you, some will wish to aid you, some will come running for their chance to face you. The fear of others is to be proud of, not blind you with arrogance. If they deem worthy, allow allies. Friends, family, servants, they will aid you in battle. And for those who wish to face you, show no mercy. Jedi are our enemy. Sith are our enemy. When faced with either one, or both at the same time, strike them down with all of your hatred. The Jedi will fear the Uchiha, and the Sith will cower before your might. That is the lesson that every Uchiha must learn. Do you understand, my sons?"
"I understand, father." Itachi knelled before his father as they stood in the center of their dojo. Itachi was but fifteen at the time, with his younger brother, Sasuke, knelling next to him. Sasuke was a bit nervous, for this was his first lesson that he learned as a new trainee of the ways of the Uchiha. Despite that, he showed now emotion and looked up to his father and told him, "I understand."
"Good." their father looked down at them, raising his hand for them to stand. Both boys stood up and their father said to them, "There is nothing more for me to teach you today. You both have showed great promise, but Sasuke, you still have much to learn. From now on, you will not be shown any weakness. Starting tomorrow, your trials will begin. You must prepare for the future, for it will be harsh. Do you understand?"
"I-I understand, father." the young Uchiha stuttered, nervous about the training he was about to receive. Despite the nervousness in his voice, he courageously to his father, "I'm not afraid."
"Oh, you will be...you...will...be."
Sasuke woke with a deep gasp. He could only see the beam of sunlight shining from the window of the ship's cabin he was sleeping in. The day before, they finally arrive on Outset Island, the person they had come to see postponed their meeting to the next day. Instead, they all were given a tour of the island with the Sheikah chief, Yami, listened to the music they played, eat their food and were even invited to sit in on a handfasting, or wedding as they called it.
Through out the whole time this was going on, Sasuke was on edge. He hadn't come all this way for merrymaking, he came to unlock his hidden power. This is what his brother gave his life up for and everyone was acting like this was just some holiday getaway. During the handfast, Sasuke stormed back to the ship and locked himself in his cabin. The only time he opened the door was to let Hinata in when is was time for bed. She didn't say anything to him, but he knew she was nervous.
But why? Why would she be nervous of him? He didn't even say anything to her and she was looking at him like he was a batterer. She gave him such a fearful look that infuriated him. Not since the two met three months ago did she ever give him that look and now that he was admittedly angry that this person they've come to see was holding out on them, but he wasn't angry at her. The simple fact that she was nervous around him and would even shuffle away from him while they slept enraged him. She was suppose to support him and she was backing away. This enraged him so much that-
...you need to control this power, for if you don't, it will consume you.
Sasuke finally understood. He didn't realize it, but the slight irritation of being blown off by the person they wished to meet had triggered a wave of dark emotions. It would have been undetected by someone who wasn't Force sensitive, but Hinata no doubt felt it. He was too blinded by his anger to see it. He was starting to lose control and now Hinata was afraid of him. The feeling of anger was natural for him because he was not only one with the Dark Side, but was also trained in the ways of the Sith. Hinata cooled him down, but not feeling these emotions for so long didn't even help anything. It was as if Hinata didn't even save him.
He needed to apologize to her...but where is she?
Hinata looked out to sea, listening to the waves crashing on the beach. She pulled her boots off so she could feel the sand on her feet. Normally she didn't like sand, the irritation of feeling it brush against your skin, especially in sand storms, but this was actually rather soothing. The sand felt different, it was hard to explain.
She just need to calmly thing about how to figure out what was wrong with Sasuke. She felt such darkness emulating from him, so much anger and hatred. Why? She just couldn't understand it. He had been so calm but then arriving here made him feel so much anger. Earlier that morning, he held he close and was so loving to her, but last night, she was afraid to even be near him. She wanted nothing more than to help him, but the energy he was giving off was unapproachable. She thought he was going to kill, nay, slaughter someone. She loves Sasuke but...
Strong arms wrapping around her brought her out of her thoughts. She knew who it was, and the aura he was giving off was much softer than before.
"Hinata, I'd never hurt you." Sasuke whispered in her ear. "This is why I'm here. I need to control this. I just...want you near me. Your presence is soothing. I love you so much."
Hinata felt guilty for fearing him. She didn't understand what he was going through, maybe she was afraid to. But one thing is certain, she was going to help Sasuke no matter what.
It was high noon when Horus' screech rang out. He dove down from the cliffs above down to the group waiting on the docks. Yami let him perch on his arm so he could remove the note from the hawk's leg then let him fly back up. Yami read the note quietly and told them, "He will see you now. There is a path leading to the top of the cliffs, just follow it up to the top. He'll meet you there."
Everyone thanked him and went on their way. The island was split into two so they had to cross a small footbridge to get to the path up the cliff. They reached the entrance to the path, and were immediately bombarded with strange symbols carved into the rock walls along the path. The looked up at them, trying to figure them out. The symbols vary from geometrical shapes and stars with five to seven points, a large array of different forms of writing and bizarre icons of looked to be religious in nature. This was strange, even Sasuke was on edge.
Upon observing the strange symbols, Hinata felt something tap her leg. She looked down and saw a small fuzzy white animal with long ears stand on its hind legs and support itself on her shin with its from legs.
"Aww, it's so cute!" Hinata chuckled as she reached down and picked it. The creature nuzzled itself into her as she held it close.
Upon observing the animal, Sasuke felt something slither across his shoulder. He swiftly looked to see a large snake slither down from a root that grew out of the wall. He wasn't afraid of snakes so he wasn't going to kill it. Instead, the snake wrapped itself across his chest and began to lightly coil around him, as though it wasn't try to kill him but instead just cling to him.
Everyone else looked to Sasuke and Hinata and their new animal friends. There was a soft pattering approaching from behind them and Naruto turned to see a orange blur jump up at him. He screamed out and fell backwards and landed on his buttocks. When he recovered, the orange blur leaped on his lap, showing it was another furry creature with big ears and a large fuzzy tail. It yipped as it leaped from his lap and danced around him. Suffice it to say, Naruto was confused by this creature.
Sakura watch the creature dance around Naruto and was going to asked Kakashi what it was when she noticed out of the corner of her eye a small lightly colored object on her shoulder. She looked down at it and saw a tiny slug slithering across her shoulder pad. She was going to swat if, but noticed that it's facial antennas where moving about in a joyful way. The small creature was acting like it was happy to see her. She then thought it wrong to harm a creature like this since it wasn't doing any harm.
Everyone turned their attention to Kakashi he felt something nuzzle against his hand and whine. He looked down and saw a wolf sitting next to him, rubbing its nose into his hand, asking to be groomed. Kakashi had fought vicious animals in the past, so he knew when one would attack, this wasn't one of them. He knelt down and began to pet the wolf.
"This is strange." Sakura said, looking around at all the animals. "All of these creatures seem to be attracted to us. But why?"
"Because they are your spiritual animals." a deep voice approached them. Everyone looked to see a rather tall man walking up to them, dressed in loose fitting Sheikah black garb with their insignia, the eye, in faded white across his chest. He was shrouded in a hooded cloak that hid most of his face, but it is reveled long black hair hanging from it. He continued as he walked towards them, "Hinata, you are the innocent rabbit. Sasuke, you are the cunning serpent. Naruto, you are the sly fox. Sakura, you are the humble slug. Kakashi, you are the leading wolf. Welcome, my friends. I have waited many years for this day. The Sheikah below call me the Wise One, but you may call me Murdock."
Aw man guys, I really need to get back to this story. I've been doing stuff outside the stories I've been writing on DeviantArt and it's been distracting me from my stuff here. I've also been posting gaming videos on my Youtube account as well if you guys want to check them out, my account is the same name as my username her and DeviantArt, BXVAce. But yeah, I've been on a Star Wars bug as of late and when I do, I get ideas for the story.
I do apologize if the intro to the chapter maybe confusing, but it's actually based off of an idea I had where I would include clips of memories from Sasuke. Like in the last story when Itachi taught Sasuke about the death on an Uchiha. It was supposed to be a dream, but I thought nah. Also, I wanted to have a brief moment that Sasuke, enraged by the fact that Murdock wouldn't see him right away and would trigger some dark emotions that only Hinata would sense and scare her, but I want to get right to introducing Murdock. I may include more in an outtake chapter, but I'll have to think of it first.
Also, Murdock is a bit of a self-insertion so the next chapter may be highly spiritual and scientific so I do apologize if it seems a bit preachy. I'm gonna try to make it fast too because I want to get back with the rest of the group. Keep an eye out for the next chapter.
